Our unit was lovely and we felt right at home. Ground floor, oceanfront! We had a non-working toilet in one of the bathrooms on arrival and Garden Island Properties took care of it right away. Two days later a new toilet was installed in the main bathroom. So glad we had the powder room to use.
We definitely will be back. This was our second stay at Kaha Lani, first was in 2019. Beautiful setting. THanks so much.

This was our first time to the Hawaiian Islands. The location of the property was perfect, centrally located and close to the airport, a good starting point to explore the rest of the island. The view from our lanai was amazing! the beach in front of the complex is nice and secluded, the surf was a little rough for swimming. We were close to Lydgate Beach which was wonderful and had a great swimming area. We wished the condo had AC as it was warm and humid. There were cieling fans and 2 oscillating fans that did help (we had maintenance fix the cieling fan in the bedroom). We purchased 2 more oscillating fans at Walmart which helped a lot (we returned them the night before we left). There are lots of chickens and roosters on the property and the rest of the island for that matter. The roosters do crow very early but we were able to sleep just fine.

Kauai Lani #119 was a beautiful and clean corner condo that was everything we could’ve asked for and more for our one week vacation. We were there the first week of June and the weather was sunny and the breeze was perfect so not having AC wasn’t a problem and was actually kinda nice in getting that full ‘island experience’. A word of advice bring your noise canceling headphones and white noise app if you want to sleep in but we quite enjoyed the whole chicken experience! Just don’t leave your door open you might get an uninvited guest! LOL Close walk to the uncrowded beach and pool. At night the pool is surrounded by lit tiki torches - very cool. Would definitely stay here again. Location is central to travel to other parts of the island and convenient to the coconut marketplace ABC store and many restaurants and shops. My personal favorite was Lava Lava Beach Club for that toes in the sand upscale catch of the day and good drinks. Mahalo.

This was our first time in Kauai. We've always gone to Maui in the past for our Hawaiian vacations and should have done more research on Kauai. We have no complaints on the VRBO we stayed in. The condo was in the perfect location with beautiful views of the ocean with a nice walking path along the beach. The condo was very clean. My wife brought a black light and she didn't find any areas to be concerned about. We enjoyed sitting and eating our meals out on the lanai with the beautiful views, and the seeing the roosters and chickens around the garden areas. We weren't bothered with the roosters crowing and my wife always sleeps with ear plugs and I recommend for light sleepers. We felt safe during our stay. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't go into the ocean across from the condo due to the strong currents and a rocky beach. We did explore some "beach pools" on the south and north end, but found the majority them small, too many people, too much debris on the beach, and the water looked dirty. In the future we'll go back to Maui since it has so much more to offer for us. We were pleased with our condo rental and its views, but not worth going back to Kauai.

Convenient in and out, access to the running path and Lydgate Beach with beautiful sunrises as I stepped out the patio door every morning. Perfect location on the island as we tend to split time on the north and south shores during the days.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. On arrival we were impressed by the lovely and immaculate grounds of the property, like a botanical garden. The condo unit listing is very accurate with what you find. Fantastic view from the patio. Kids loved the pool. Kitchen is pretty complete. Useful gear like boogie boards, coolers, and beach chairs for your use (we carted them around in our car trunk the whole trip). Great location, easy to get around the island from this spot. Easy walk to Lydgate park where there are wonderful playgrounds and protected swimming/snorkeling. The unit has no A.C. which we knew and wasn't really a problem for us as there were fans but it might bother some. Also, the abundant feral roosters and cats on the property you might find charming or to be pests. Do bring earplugs as they will call during the night.

This is the fifth time I’ve stayed in Kauai. First time at this place. While in Kauai, I fully expect the roosters to be crowing. However, at this place, the roosters are permitted to roost in the plumeria trees at night, right outside the units. The noise begins around 1:00 am. Earplugs are required. Closed windows and doors also required. Still, you will be sleep deprived. While on vacation.
This is the only resort I have stayed at that does nothing about the roosters.
So when I complained, they finally set up a rooster trap RIGHT outside our bedroom window. A rooster was indeed trapped and proceeded to crow ALL NIGHT. I myself got up and moved the stupid trap at 2:30 am.
Management did not care one bit that we paid good money and got no sleep. They gave us a lame offer to move somewhere else, a cheaper downgrade and a hassle. There was no apology, no courtesy extended and we felt we were somehow the problem.
Find somewhere else if you want a good sleep and management that cares about your stay.

The rental was nice, clean, great location and beautiful view. A popular walking/biking trail in the back of the condo, to the left down a ways, is a popular swimming spot, and to the right, down a ways, a cool giant maze bridge. People complain about being woke up some morning from the Rosters but there are wild chickens everywhere on the Island. The only downside was no air conditioning, we are from Washington State, so not used to the high humidity.

The place was perfect. The pictures don’t do it justice. It was clean and well appointed, and the beach is RIGHT THERE! Centrally located, close to the airport (but not too close), and easy access to the whole island. Rent a car and explore—it was awesome.

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful visit to Kauai. Full disclosure, this wasn't our first choice when we booked our trip a year ago. We found out two months before our visit the place we had booked (which was a 2 bedroom at a different property) was experiencing structural issues and would not be available. I'm guessing the reason this unit was still available had something to do with the fact that it does not have AC. Whatever the reason, we were fortunate to have the opportunity to book this unit.
The kitchen was well appointed with pots, pans, glasses, coffee mugs and flatware. The coffee maker was ample sized, but the filters in the unit were not the correct size. The toaster was clean and so was the microwave. Granite counter tops and back-splash, along with "soft close" drawers were a nice touch.
Our daughter said the pull-out sofa in the living room made for a comfortable bed. There were nice sheets for the bed but, there were not pillow cases for the pillows in the linens with the sheet set. Overall, she was very happy having a bed with an ocean view and didn't seem bothered at all by not having her own room, as she originally planned.
The bedroom had a large bed with plenty of pillows to give two to our little one on the sleeper sofa. The bed was a little soft, but very comfortable. The en suite bathroom was large enough to not fill cramped and the towels provided were exceptionally soft and large. They did tend to leave noticeable amounts of lint while I was drying off; perhaps they were new.
The location couldn't be beat!!! 2 minute drive to Lydgate Beach Park, 15 minutes to Wailua Falls, 7 minutes to Opaeka'a Falls and 10 minutes to the main stretch of shops in Kapaa. We drove to Hanalei Bay Beach (North Shore) in roughly 45 minutes and Waimea Canyon in just over an hour. Grocery store was only 10 minutes away. There's a nice paved pathway 50 meters from the lanai that was great for morning runs, bike rides and evening strolls. Sunrises were incredible and we could sit on the lanai and listen to the sounds of the waves every minute we were here.
Overall, great location, great amenities, super easy check-in and check-out process and a wonderfully maintained property. While we weren't sure the expectations we had for our original booking would be met, I can't imagine our time in Kauai could have been much more enjoyable. Would definitely consider staying here again, especially in the cooler months.

Overall the condo was awesome. Close to activities and easy access. The only challenge we had was the heat. It tended to get uncomfortably warm in the unit despite having the fans going 24 hours/day and windows wide open. No fault of anyone other than the weather. The beach was incredible and not crowded at all. All amenities that were included in the unit were excellent. Everyone we met and the groundskeepers were friendly. We felt very safe that we kept the slider open the entire night while we slept. We were on the ground floor. The managers are very responsive. We would visit again!

The resort was great, right on the beach and a short walk to a large public swimming lagoon. My only suggestion for improvement is to install some blackout blinds or curtain on the floor-to-ceiling window next to the entrance door with the combination lock. The adjacent building has a night yard illumination spotlight that shines directly through that window which causes a lot of ambient light when the bedroom door is open to allow for cooling airflow which makes it difficult to fall asleep (the unit has no air conditioner, so the bedroom door has to stay open for cooling airflow).

Very nice beach to walk on, the waves were quite big so it wasn’t really good for swimming but there was a pool on the property and a breakwater in waking distance if you really wanted to swim in the ocean.
The location was very close to kapa’a where you can find stores and restaurants.
We just sat in the patio and watched the waves l. Very relaxing.

This condo is gorgeous! Steps to the ocean/beach in a condo complex that is quiet and beautifully landscaped. Everything in the condo is luxurious and well appointed! I loved the internet flat screen tv as we were excited to see the finale to 1883 this last Sunday. I think maybe one more floor fan would be nice as it does get hot during the day in the condo but other than that it was superb!

We stayed here for 10 days in Feb of 2022 and it couldn't have been more perfect for us. The location was ideal. We have a 4 year old and the property was just a short walk from Ludgate Beach which the perfect beach for young families. Watching the sunrise every morning right from the property was incredible. We even saw a humpback whale breaching right out front! Easy drive to pretty much anywhere on the island.
The property itself was well stocked which was perfect for us as we cooked almost all our meals at 'home' and the pool was great to relax after a day's hike or drive up into the mountains. Lots of towels etc provided and handy having a laundry on site to wash towels and swim stuff.
Only tiny negative was that the living room furniture wasn't the most comfortable, but otherwise a perfect location.

This place is absolutely incredible. The unit was in great shape and stocked with everything we could possible need. The sunrise views on the lanai we’re amazing, the neighbors were all super quiet and respectful. The basically private beach is a 15 second walk from the units back door. I could not have asked for anything more and plan on coming back!

Our rental faced the ocean and had a stunning view. We could walk to the beach, to a Tiki Bar and even to Coconut Marketplace. It was so quiet and peaceful. The interior was decorated nicely and the bed was very comfy. Everything was clean and organized. We discovered on our last night in the rental that there were so many extras and supplies for us to use. There was a beach umbrella, beach chairs, a beach mat, snorkeling gear, and a few coolers. There may have even been more but we didn’t dig in the closet. This unit also came with beach towels, suntan lotion, after sun moisture, and even hair dryers. It’s a one bedroom, but there was a blow up mattress stored away so the room can fit at least 4 people comfortably.
