Sweltering, False Advertising, Dated Facilities, and Bad Location: The pictures of the place looked amazing on VRBO - expansive ocean views, great amenities, and a description with “no AC in the living area but feel the cooling ocean breeze”. Marketing bologna. The property is right off the main highway into Wailua just past the bridge over the river. This is a less than ideal part of the island we learned: it was extremely windy, and the adjacent beach isn’t safely swimmable with very high surf. It was also a bit dingy and dated - felt like the run down parts Kihei on Maui. The property itself is very dated. It is a LONG walk to the unit itself up several flights of stairs with no elevator. The pool is an oversized concrete bathtub with tons of people floating in it and no hot tub. The grills looked grimy and poorly maintained. We opened the door to the unit - it was just cooking even with the windows open. The couch was worn and the beds were super hard. The rules list was extensive and made us wonder what must have happened there over the years. We got there after 5 pm so we kind of had to scramble - we knew we couldn’t stay. Ended up booking a new place entirely on our own dime. For what it’s worth, the property management company was very communicative and offered to bring in an AC for the living room. But it was too late and we lost all our money. Do yourself a favor: skip this and stay in Poipu for the same cost.

We loved this condo for our little place to call home while we were in HI. We traveled with another couple so the two king beds and separate baths made this perfect to share! The view from the lanai were spectacular! The condo was stocked well with everything we needed to cook and also enjoy the beach! I wish I could stay here forever! Mahalo

This unit was cute, comfortable, nicely furnished, and amazingly clean! There wasn't a spot of dust anywhere!The kitchen, bathrooms, and beach closet contained everything we could have wanted! So nice to have a washer and drier, also, right in the unit!The grounds of the complex were garden-like, and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. We had a great stay!

This apartment was a gem! The grounds are stunning with not only the ocean but tropical plants everywhere and the unit itself was homey and comfortable. I was nervous with the lack of air conditioning but there are ample fans to keep you cool. We loved walking to the shopping center next door and found it to be a convenient, central location for exploring the island. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

The property was gorgeous and well maintained. The balcony boasts an incredible view of the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and clean. There is only AC in the bedroom, which can be a little uncomfortable on hot afternoons. But for the most part, it was a wonderful place to stay.

The photo showing the lanai and view is a bit old - the trees have grown quite taller and block some of the view. Is it possible to trim the trees to help the view from being obstructed? The condo was wonderful, and the location was awesome. We loved our stay there and hope to come back again.

The condo was everything we needed for our trip. Easy check in with all information sent prior and typed out in room. The grounds of this condo complex were impressive and beautiful. Everywhere you looked the entire place was beautiful with plants and well taken care of. Gated complex with easy parking and with a beautiful gated pool and beach front. The condo was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed. The beach chairs were helpful when traveling to another beach for the day. Centrally located on island to drive north and south easily which we did many days. Within walking distance to Coconut market place for shops, food, and groceries. The hosts had excellent communication. We didn’t have any issues during our stay and asked for a late check out and they were able to accommodate us at that time. The beds were comfortable and you still had room and seating when using the pull out. The laundry facilities were a short walk from the condo and the host provided a laundry basket for your use. You can hear noise from the birds when in the bedroom but nothing a little white noise can’t fix. Loved having AC in the unit and it worked great to cool off the condo.

Everything was great. We stayed on the east side to easily access the north side and south side and the Lae Nani was perfect for what we wanted. Our hosts were super responsive and the condo had everything we needed for the week. If you want to cook, it has everything you could possibly need. If you want to snorkel, go to the beach, or float in the pool/ocean the condo came with everything you could need for that as well. Toiletries, towels, and other essentials were plentiful. Hard to think of any negatives except the stairs to get to the top floor! They’re not bad though, just exhausting after an 8 mile hike! Would absolutely stay again or recommend to anyone for a couple looking for a place on the east side. Food and shops are plentiful in Kapaa and quick stops to Lihue for essentials.

Easily one of our favorite vrbo’s ever! This condo was absolutely perfect for our family of 4, with plenty of space in the common areas and the lanai to relax on in the morning and evenings. Two king beds and two bathrooms was perfect! The views were incredible. You are close to the pool and beach, without having to hear all the noise. This area is convenient to both the north and south areas. I would most definitely stay here again when we return to Kauai. Thank you for sharing your rental with us!

The good! This place is absolutely perfect! Location, view, the property! All 5 stars!!! The bad, We gave a 4 for cleanliness because when we arrived our unit had not been cleaned. However, the host responded immediately and had the cleaner show up quickly. After she cleaned she left a bag of supplies that had run out at the condo, which we appreciated! The host also immediately reimbursed us a night for our inconvenience which we also appreciated. The good, we had an amazing stay and the condo had a cooler, some icees for the cooler, beach bags, boogie board, and beach chairs. We loved that we were so close to shopping, great food options and a market for quick grab and go items. Just a quick note, if you choose buy water you can refill a gallon container for just 50 cents at the Safeway down the street. Wish we would have figured that out earlier but now we know. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed spending our anniversary here! The location was everything we hoped for. Close to everything yet still right on the water! The view is exactly what the pictures show. We loved walking down to Lava Lava Beach Club and listening to the live music and relaxing by the waves. Also checking out the local Farmers Market and shopping right by. The view outside of our lanai was amazing! The condo was clean and the bed was super comfortable! There’s an air conditioner in the bedroom, which was a lifesaver, because the rest of the condo can get quite warm. But we slept great with the A/C! The location was very convenient being in Kapa’a and was within walking distance to a cute shopping center. The beach right outside the property was great as well. We loved the location and host was easy to communicate with too.
