We had an amazing 180 degree ocean view, perfect for whale watching from the lanai. Pool was clean an quiet. This was the most amazing whale watching we have experienced. Whales breaching, sounding, spouting, playing on the surface, right before our eyes. Perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating.

The villa was well-furnished and pretty. The kitchen had everything and more than we needed. The sofas were comfortable, as was the bed. The washer/ dryer was nice and some detergent pods were provided. We really enjoyed having morning coffee on the lanai and using the lounge chairs to relax. The walk-out of the ground floor was so nice and it was a peaceful and quiet location with a great view of the Onolea Beach area. A short walk led to the stairs to get down to the beach. We appreciated that beach chairs and cooler and other items were provided.The property management company communicated well with us through texts and email. They were also quick to respond to a minor need we had. The unit did feel a bit smaller and more dated than I expected. The shower/bath is sunken and was a bit tricky to navigate. The cellphone/wifi reception was spotty, as the unit sits low down the hillside, I suspect.All things considered, we really enjoyed our stay here!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Kapalua Bay Villa 28G2. There were only two of us, but the condo could easily accommodate 4 people, since there's a pull out couch in the living room and there are two full baths. It's on the ground floor overlooking a large grassy area and beyond is an amazing view of the ocean. The coastal ocean trail is below the grassy area but you can't see people walking by, until you get close to the edge of the grassy area. It's only a 10 minute walk to the Kapalua beach and another few minutes to Napili beach, which we like better since it's more sandy and not as rocky.

Gorgeous location and nice unit, but needed a bit of attention. The unit is missing many of the window screens and the screen door. This meant we had problems with mosquitos. Also, the pullout couch is completely worn out and broken. We did eventually find another bed in a hutch, but we didn't know how to use the frame and ended up just putting the mattress on the living room floor. We had trouble finding the bedding to make up this mattress, but eventually found it in another hutch (in a section of the tv entertainment cabinet-- keeping all the extra sheets and blankets in the upstairs closet would be more intuitive). The unit could have been better appointed for the price. For example, the beach umbrella is broken and is missing its main post. (The management told us that they should have removed the umbrella because they don't supply beach gear.) The towel hanger in the downstairs bathroom falls off the wall and is not usable. The light over the stairs is burned out. The clock on the wall has no batteries (or is broken). Overall, we had a nice time, but the unit needs some maintenance and could be a little better appointed, given most people will stay for a short vacation and will need beach accessories and the like.

We had a great week in Maui and enjoyed staying in a new (to us) part of the island. Kapalua is greener and gets more rain than Wailea. The location of the condo complex is fantastic and the proximity of this condo to the stairs to the beach and pathway is ideal. I really enjoyed the views from the lanai, although it is crowded out there with the table, four chairs, and two chaise lounges (plus the beach stuff). More stuff than you see in the picture and the lanai is smaller than some I've had with other rentals. The bathroom is huge and perfect for two people. The tub did not hold water at first but Parrish came out and fixed the issue. Speaking of the bathroom, while there is a blowdryer, it is old and sounds like it's on its last legs. If you have long hair, like I do, you might want to bring your own hairdryer. Minor detail, though. As a few others have noted, I found the bed mattress to be a bit uncomfortable. My husband thought it was OK. The bedroom is warmer than the rest of the condo but there is a standing fan and ceiling fan in the bedroom so that helps out. I think it would get extra warm in the summer months, especially August. We used the kitchen and it has everything that you need. I wish there had been instructions for how to use the television and how to run the fan/lighting/ac in the living room. We figured these things out but there are no directions in the binder of information. Parking is very convenient and the pool closest to the condo has a great view.

The AC unit for the rental was not working from the time we checked in. It was very hot and humid inside at all times. The thermostat always said it was between 77 and 82 degrees inside, which was just too hot after returning from a day at the beach. The host was very slow to respond and made very little effort to fix the issue. They spent 2 days making me troubleshoot it, but nothing worked. They then essentially told us it WAS working, even though it definitely WASN'T. I have plenty of pictures to prove it. This really ruined our stay which would've otherwise been a very fun and beautiful experience in a great location. There are many other rentals in the area, and I highly recommend you consider those. This host (Maui Paradise Properties) is not worth renting from. They will text you asking how everything is, but as soon as there's a problem, they will disappear and leave you on your own. Trust me, don't rent this unit, I have a feeling they always have these AC issues.

The grounds are immaculate, the pools are fantastic, and the entire area feels calm, safe, and upscale without being stuffy.This was the perfect home base for exploring Maui—beach walks, snorkeling, whale watching, and great dining nearby—yet it was just as enjoyable to simply stay put and soak it all in. Overall this was a really nice rental for a couple. Spotlessly clean. Comms with property management were excellent. Views from upstairs were great! Close to pool, beach, and Napili, Kapalua, and DT Fleming bays/beaches.Like any place over there, ants can be pretty intense, even upstairs in the bedroom, but wasn’t out of control.The unit has been used as a rental for awhile, so don’t expect a lot of modern upgrades. My one negative comment is that virtually every window treatment (blinds won’t go up, stay up, etc) really should be replaced. And the master bathroom window upstairs needs to be serviced to open; it does not, which leads to a hot, steamy bathroom! All in all a very relaxing stay!!

The pictures on the listing are exactly what you get, pure paradise. While parking I could see the spray from the waves crashing on the rocks. Incredible communications from the owner. This was by far the best place we have ever stayed on Maui! The location was perfect and the views were magical. The condo was gorgeous and very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed, including chairs and umbrella for the beach. The beach is a very short 3 minute walk. We spent half of our trip sitting on the lanai watching and listening to the waves crash onto the rocks. The host was super responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again and again!!
