We have never rented a VRBO and so we were a bit nervous. I have heard some horror stories. The experience far exceeded our expectation. The property was lovely and the location is perfection. Everything we could have needed was in the house as far as kitchen supplies, bedding and activities. I would give this a higher rating if I could. We had the best time and I would recommend this property to anyone!

Incredible 2br/3ba condo with jaw-dropping 180 views. Super relaxing vibe away from it all. Ground floor of well-stocked two-story unit with plenty of room for two couples. Other units are next/nearby, but not in your space. Short walk to quiet beach and miles of trails. Our host was awesome and easy to contact. Quickly addressed a last-minute configuration request.

This oceanfront property offers exceptional 180-degree ocean views from every living space. With a partially covered lanai it was perfect for our group to get some sun and yet avoid the heat of mid-afternoon. With an elevated position, the views from the condo are excellent. We were fortunate enough to see humpback whales and sea turtles right from the lanai, and enjoy the sound of the surf meeting the varied coastline.
The condo is spacious with all rooms well proportioned and beautifully finished. Everything you need is provided, from kitchen appliances and supplies, to the washer and dryer, to beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys.
Several beaches are within walking distance with most connected by the coastal trail, which you can join 50’ in front of the condo. The beaches give you options to enjoy the surf, or quiet waters for snorkelling.
The location, the surroundings, the views, and nonetheless the beautiful condo make this a place a little piece of heaven. An excellent choice for a relaxing vacation with exceptional ocean views.

Location was easy to access and very peaceful. It's on the quiet side of the island so some activities are far away (relative given the small size of the island)
Great ocean views and access to the ocean, beach and trails. Whale spotting was good but bring your binoculars as none are in the condo. The bathrooms and kitchen were excellent but bring in your own cooking extras (oil, sauces, spices, etc).
Perfect place for a getaway-5 stars.

This is a stunning property. We were so pleased to stay again this year. There have been upgrades since last time and you can tell the staff and owner really care about this special place. The location is very convenient to lots of shopping, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. We will definitely be back.

This Bay Villa's location is one of the best in the development. We felt like we were almost IN the ocean! We could see and hear the crash of the surf and see the whales breaching from our lanai. The unit is nicely decorated and well-stocked. All bathrooms are very spacious. One upgrade the owners might consider is new mattresses. I have stayed many places on Maui over my 40 years of visiting the island. This unit is my favorite!

I never knew I even had a Zen, but when I arrived at this piece of Heaven on Earth, I was consumed with the raw beauty of Hawai'i and the ability of the environment to influence the way we think. From the mighty ocean to the rocky lava formed shoreline; from the dark night skies with shooting stars to the bright forceful sunrise; nature made a quite an impression on me and the property itself reflects the relationship between nature and mankind with abundant natural light and simplicity. It all comes together here.

This condo was amazing, just what you want it to be. Walking through the front door you are greeted by a wall of windows showing the view to the ocean. The location is perfect, sitting on the lanai listening to the waves crash, watching whales breach. There is a swimming pool right next door, easy walk to the beach, rocky outcroppings and the Ritz for dinner and drinks. I’m ready to go back!

Wow! The view was just incredible! The villa has the most spectacular views and the location is perfect! The pool is just below the villa and you are within a couple minutes walk from the beach. Access to the Montage is also so convenient!
The villa had everything we could possibly need to make dinner at hone and had all the staples we needed! We loved our stay and would definitely like to stay there again!

Condo was immaculate, view was amazing, proximity to the beach is less than a 5 minute walk. Condo is stalked with everything needed for a wonderful stay and the pool and BBQ is literally feet away but not so close that it causes a noise disruption. We recently stayed at this property and enjoyed our stay but also experienced several issues. The main issue when we arrived was that the AC wasn’t working properly in the second bedroom. We phoned the property owner right away to report the issue and to see if it could get fixed. Unfortunately the AC could not be fixed at the time and it wasn’t until the following day that we we were given a temporary portable AC unit. The portable unit did offer some relief but the unit itself was very loud which made sleeping difficult. Maintenance also did not communicate very well to resolve the issue. Maintenance said that they would would return in several days to fix the AC but never showed up again during our trip. The other issue we experienced were the big roaches inside the unit. There was one dead roach in the kitchen and one that ran across the living room. I myself am not particularly scared of roaches but there were several in our party that have a legitimate fear of them. We enjoyed our stay as best as we could but we could not ignore the fact that we did encounter several issues. For the amount of money we paid and having to sleep with no AC for one night and deal with roaches is completely unacceptable and disappointing. Unfortunately we will have to reconsider where we stay on our next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Kapalua Bay Villas. This particular unit is ideally situated, a 5 minute walk from Slaughterhouse Beach along the coastal trail, with a spectacular unobstructed ocean view. It is also an easy 15 minute paved walk to superb snorkeling at Kapalua Bay and to the spa at the Montage. The unit was immaculately clean, well stocked, and extremely comfortable for our family (2 adults and 2 teens). We recommend this unit highly.

The beauty of this location can not be conveyed in the listing. Everything was accurate and the condo was well supplied with the items listed. Beds were comfortable and the unit had plenty of space. Communication was timely and we hope to come visit again! The open and spacious views were wonderful. Really enjoyed walking along the Kapalua Coastal Trail in the mornings.

We have stayed in several units in this complex and this one was the best! The way the condo sits, you are oceanfront, but don’t see the people taking the trail in front of you. You are also very close to
The pool, but not too close. It was well-kept and perfect.
The only two comments were the code to get in was incorrect, so we had to call the property manager and a couple of the beach chairs were in need of replacement.

My wife and I have made two visits to 23G4 with our grandsons. The owner is terrific to work with and the unit was gracefully decorated and very well stocked.
The pictures of the unit are accurate but fail to do justice to the unit or the views from the unit. One aspect of the unit that is not apparant from the photo's .....you actually have a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean from the Master shower.....amazing. There is a quality about the setting that seems to make time stand still....a very important aspect for us as we like to make our Maui trips last as long as possible. The unit sits roughly equidistant (I'm guessing three hundred yards or so) from Kapalua Bay and Oneloa Bay. Kapalua is very gentle for the young ones and has terrific snorkling...Oneloa Bay has great waves for splashing or boogie boarding and our older grandson couldn't get enough. Get there fairly early on most mornings and you have either beach almost all to yourself as lodging in the area is very low density. You're also only about 10 minutes by car from Honolua Bay and world class snorkling there.
When you're ready to eat, 23G4 is only a beautiful and short walk over to the Plantation Grill at the golf course; the Sea House cafe at Napili; Merrimans ($$$$) on Kapalua Bay ; Sansei (great sushi...but a somewhat ambitious walk from the condo) and the Ritz Carlton....all great options.
Two last points about the unit.....when we're there, it feels like home....and , when I asked our grandsons at the end of the first trip what they liked best about Maui they both agreed ....just hanging out at the condo....high praise when you take into account all the fabulous activities we were blessed to be able to experience on that trip.

We are in love with this condo and its location and have been back many times, and brought other family and friends with us on occasion. We have recommended it to several friends for their trip to Maui. We will continue to stay there as often as we can.
