This property was not very clean. Drapes were pinned together with safety pin in bedroom. Dirty drapes and did not open.Same in dining area. No good light in bedroom and tv was too small and too far away from bed. It was very hot when we checked in and took a whole day to cool it down.

The property was absolutely beautiful, and it felt like we had our own private beach. There were nearby trails you could walk near the beach and the closeness to the beach was amazing with the most awesome views. The condo was perfect and it was very comfortable. It was close to a nearby plaza where they had a small grocery store which was very convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Linda was very accommodating and fast to respond. You can walk to excellent snorkeling in 8 minutes and multiple beaches and a coastal hiking trail. This house was truly like the pictures especially that bedroom view which was amazing! I laid in bed an extra long time! Kitchen was nicely equipped for meals, lots of room for two people, and really enjoyed their pool and trail. The beach is more of a hike so we drove to DL Flewling park which was amazing. It’s far from the airport compared to other properties but it’s quiet and private. The bird sanctuary was beautiful but louder at night. We used a white noise machine to drown out the bird noises. We loved this little condo!

We were celebrating our golden anniversary and this Kapalua Bay condo did not dissapoint. Immaculate when we arrived with all the staples we needed. Fantastic oceanfront/beachfront location with beautiful views as pictured. The community is beautifully maintained and a lovely, walkable community and nearby neighborhoods. We appreciated having beach chairs and beach towels available for our use. The bedroom and living room furniture were very comfortable as well. The addition of an umbrella would be nice, but not a deal breaker. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We’ve stayed at multiple Bay Villas over the last 20 years - this was by far the most disappointing experience. Upon arrival, the unit was extremely hot. The local rep said the A/C hadn’t been used in a month and told us it would cool down. After an hour, we reached out again. He brought two loud portable A/C units vented through the sliding door and upstairs window - blocking the ocean view, limiting outdoor access, and failing to cool the unit effectively.The A/C technician came the next day and confirmed the system was completely broken and not fixable. The host offered a larger inland home, but we had specifically booked and paid a premium for an oceanfront unit - location was a non-negotiable part of the experience.The bed was comfortable and the appliances (washer, dryer, fridge, dishwasher) were new, but the unit overall felt worn and in need of a refresh.We’ve submitted a refund request to VRBO. The lack of central A/C and poor resolution created unnecessary stress on what should have been a relaxing family trip. Renters should know this property had no functioning central A/C, and we would not return unless that issue is clearly resolved in advance.

Amazing ocean views and very well appointed unit. We used this unit as our group's home base (with 2 other units) and we easily fit 12 people for lunch or just hanging out. High winds coming off the water (that's just the area) but overall the unit had everything that we needed and was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again.

Kapalua Bsy Villas is in a great location. The view was wonderful and the condo is very comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with nice pots and pans, etc. This is an older development where the units are individually owned. Some have been completely renovated. This one could use a little TLC.

This was everything and more than I expected! Such a beautifully decorated condo with all you could ask for at your fingertips. Spacious, clean - oh, and did I mention quiet. Our family has not quit talking about this stay and how convenient it was to beaches, restaurants and the hiking. Have stayed in dozens of these places in Kapalua. This one is just "ok" First of all the picture looking out to the ocean from the outside table is old. Now there are overgrown bushes blocking the view. Need to be cut down about 4 feet! The place needs some TLC. Paint, deep clean and better kitchen items. AC was good, but it did get hot upstairs even with the blinds closed 24 hours a day. I would recommend tinting the upper windows and installing blinds closer to the windows. As for the location, you can't beat Kapalua. Would we stay in this unit again? Probably not.

We have been staying in Kapalua (the Bay Villas) for over 20 years.The unit was very pretty and mostly updated and the AC worked great! But this place is in need of some interior painting. It's obvious where paint has been touched up - especially up the stairs and on the doors. The low quality of utensils, a melted spatula, stained/dirty cutting boards etc made cooking a bit challenging and plastic tongs are not made for bbqs. But the thing that was most disappointing was the view from the lanai. The photo that is in the listing is outdated. There is no grass and the plants have grown too tall which blocks the view when you are sitting at the table on the lanai. It would be nice if the plants were trimmed down. It looks as if the landscaping was changed years ago. Probably to keep people from walking right in front of the unit and the front door. Also, there are no drapes like in the pictures. Blinds have been installed which are nicer than drapes but let too much light in the bedroom especially if neighbors have their porch lights on. Overall, it was a great vacation and being on Maui is always wonderful.

We really enjoyed our time in Maui. The condo was in great condition with no issues. The location was super close to the great Nāpili beach, Merriman’s, the Sea House, the Burger Bar at the Ritz Carlton, and of course the Gazebo. The hiking trails all around were great. The beach chairs were perfect for use at Nāpili beach. The host communicated through out the booking and was ready to help in all manners.

This is our second time staying at this villa while visiting Maui, and we love it!! The views when you wake up, eat breakfast, or simply do dishes, do not disappoint! We love the short walk down to Kapalua (our favorite beach), and the proximity to the costal trail. The amenities like the included rental car, washer/dryer, beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, and beach toys are the icing on the cake! We feel at home here and hope we can visit again next summer.
