It is a 15 min walk down to the beach and whalers village. This allowed us to walk down for dinners, shopping and back. They provide chairs and beach towels you can carry down to the beach. Kaanapali is such a beautiful beach and so swim able.

The pool was enjoyed, the homes' position is such that you can see the pool from the lanai/balcony which made it even better to keep an eye on our kids! I’ve stayed in many rentals in my years of travel. This is my first negative review. The couch was so disgusting. It’s stained, old, oily and damp, I put a towel on it to sit on it. Something I’ve never done before. Everything in the kitchen but the coffee maker was like stepping in to a 1980’s Time Machine. The curtains in the living room and upstairs master bathroom are also decades old. They’re ripped and stained. I kindly sent a message to Vacasa. Every response was, “We are so sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues, our goal to to perfect customer service.” Then nothing. No help. No communication. I reach out again, same response. I have found that Vacasa is horrible to communicate with. Period. It might be helpful to include in the listing that there are exactly 40 steps to get to the front door. It’s also extremely frustrating to have to pay for daily parking when there are no parking fees!! I spoke to 2 owners. It’s just a way for vacasa to make more money off guests. When walking to whalers village, it seems so close, yet so far due to having to walk around the golf course. At night, you can walk through, otherwise, it takes a hot minute. Suffice to say, I’d never stay there again.

The location was away from the hustle of Kaanapali beach, but just minutes walking distance from there, overlooking the golf course. My only advice is to read the fine print before booking. The listed price and the price we paid was quite different. I was not expecting all the fees, taxes and charges for parking. I wish VRBO would just name a price that includes everything, like how most airlines and car rental places are now doing.

We loved this condo. It is the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed and so nice! The bed I slept in was so comfortable. The location is awesome. They have beach chairs, a wagon and boogie boards loved it and would stay again. We did beach in the morning and pool in the afternoon while the baby napped. We didn’t use them but I saw a pack and play and baby gate as well.

The description matched the place accurately. Unfortunately, the Maui fire happened the day after we checked in. It was nice to have the lanai with the outdoor grill to make our meals while the power was out for all the days. We checked out days earlier than planned. Praying for Maui and the people that has lost their homes and lives. Hoping to visit again soon. What an unreal vacation. This condo is perfectly situated in Kaanapali and there's a ton to do in the area. This is, by far, the best condo my family and I have ever stayed in. Communication with the owner has been fantastic and we're already looking forward to our next stay at his place.
The condo itself is kept in impeccable condition and has everything that a family would need. The kitchen is fully stocked with every utensil, tool, cutting board, pot, etc, etc that you'd ever need. The floor plan is excellent and has the master suite and guest suite at opposite ends of the unit. Each suite also has it's own full bathroom so there's no need to share.
The living room is just off the lanai and the kitchen so it's easy to have conversations with the family while preparing meals. The Lay-Z-Boy recliner chair was SO comfortable and it was often a race in the evening to see who could get there first.
The main floor lanai was great for getting to/from the pool (which is also amazing). There's a BBQ on the lanai which is nice and also a couple BBQ's down at the pool area. There's also an excellent array of beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, snorkeling gear, floaties) so you don't need to bring anything.
There's LOADS of beaches and places to explore in West Maui and this condo is in the perfect spot to do it all. Whether you want a chill beach to soak up the sun, do some epic snorkeling, try surfing, boogie boarding, golfing, hiking, you name it - it's close by.

Our stay in Maui was perfect! The condo had plenty of room for the 6 of us. It was so comfortable! Everyone had their own bed. The kitchen was well stocked and had lots of room! All the beds were comfortable. We cooked everyday and only went out to dinner twice which was perfect for those with allergies and to stay on a budget. The lanai was big and roomy and we could watch the sunset every evening while cooking in the grill and eating dinner. The walk to the Whalers Village and the beach was only about 15 minutes and there is a reef right there where we saw tons of fish and a turtle! Surf lessons were in walking distance by the Marriott and they had perfect waves there to learn how to surf. Black Rock was walking distance but a bit further but we chose to drive. Our teenagers loved walking around Whalers village every night, getting ice cream and shopping. The Safeway is only 3 miles away to stock up on food. The Kanaapali Royal golf courses were well maintained and very reasonable in cost. Highly recommend staying here. The host Natalie was pleasant and responsive.

I’m a VRBO owner myself and don’t like leaving negative reviews. However, at what it cost to stay it needs to be addressed. This unit has a fabulous view. It needs some TLC. Furniture is not comfortable, looks like leftovers shoved into corners and worn out. The recliner is broken, barstools fabric is worn out and legs are wobbly, piano takes up space that should be a dine in area, 2nd room is a pullout sofa and needs a bed to actually sleep a second couple, couches are not comfortable, upstairs air was not good. Had to take the vent cover off to get any air. This unit could be stellar! But the owners need to invest in making it look and match the rates! Love the old Hawaii vibe but not the old stuff that is there. The lighting needs to be addressed. You can’t see what you doing during the day without turning on all the lights.

Myself and a few friends rented this property for a week and loved every minute! It's balcony has a beautiful view of the golf course and ocean. We enjoyed using the grill outside for some dinners and walking down to the beach restaurants for others. There were beach chairs, towels, sand toys, and coolers provided that we were able to use at the beach. The only hiccup we had was that the washing machine was broken during our stay, however the property manager was quick to reimburse us for any laundry we had to do and their communication was excellent. We look forward to coming here again in the future!

We have just returned from 10 nights at this condo and were thrilled that it not only met our expectations but exceeded them. This unit's renovations are lovely and while it is an older complex, everything is clean and well maintained. The kitchen was very well stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes and glasses. The view from the large lanai was a lovely way to start and end the day and loved that it was just a short walk down to Whaler's Village and a few times we took the trolley home as it stops next door at the Fairways Shops. We found the bed in the master a bit soft but still fairly comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the provided bar soaps which was easily solved by a quick stop at Long's for a couple of bars of soap. We would definitely return! Thanks for a great stay!!

The living room furniture leaves a lot to be desired. The pull out bed in the living room was almost unusable, I would not suggest anyone else use it. A blow up mattress would be better than the sofa.

The only thing worth mentioning is the complimentary kit with bath soaps, kitchen soap, sponge etc. ….you definitely need to reconsider this company. The product is horrible and smells terrible.

The condo was the perfect size for 5 adults and one baby. We liked the location and the pool and common areas were beautiful. The pool amenities were spot on and kept clean every day. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, silverware, etc and it was nice to have the use of the beach chairs and umbrella. There was plenty of bath and beach towels. What I was not pleased with was the cleanliness of the unit. We arrived at 4pm, check in time and the cleaning crew was still there and it was quite a wreck. They apologized but said it would be about an hour to finish cleaning. We had no problem with that as that was not their fault. We told them to take their time to ensure it was clean. They obviously hurried through. My grandson's shirt was black after crawling on the floor the first few minutes we were there. I spent the next couple of hours sweeping and scrubbing the entire tile floor. There were no cleaning products other than Windex and Hardwood floor cleaner in the unit so dish soap it was. The lanai hadn't been swept or cleaned so it was filthy. There were tiny, and I mean tiny, little bugs that were continually, from the start of our stay, on the downstairs bathroom counter. I've been to Hawaii many times and I understand that you will encounter various insects at times but I think if the unit had been cleaned properly this wouldn't have happened. A deep cleaning of the entire unit is needed. Maybe this was a one time issue but it certainly needs to be addressed with the cleaning company.

The accommodations were very satisfactory. My only complaint is that the upstairs bathroom should have a door from the bedroom. Even life long couples seek some privacy at certain times. Other than that I found my stay there to be very relaxing.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this spacious condo! Very nice decor and the layout worked great for two couples. We enjoyed spending time on the large lanai with beautiful views! Close to golf, beach, shopping and restaurants. Would highly recommend.

This was the best location I could have asked for as you could walk all over the area so easily. This condo had the most peaceful views of the golf course, resorts and ocean. You are guaranteed to see a rainbow outside the windows on most days. The furnishing were so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and dishware that made entertaining very easy. I will absolutely be booking again for my next trip to Maui!!

Staying at this condo was one of the best decisions I made planning this Maui family vacation. The condo had enough room and bedrooms to make my family of 5 (including 3 teens) very comfortable and not on top of each other. No more than a 15 minute walk to everything and only 10 minutes to the beach. We used many of the appliances, including the washer and dryer (dryer took longer than normal to dry clothes) with out a major problem. The directions on how to operate the TV (especially getting LIVE sports on TV) needs to be updated. A late night swim in the close by pool was a great way to end the day. Even the next door neighbor (who's lived there 18 years) was pleasant and friendly. Overall, this was by far the best "Value" of our trip and would definitely stay here again!!

Really nice place! Great value! Two stories, nice soft carpeting, very clean, big beautiful balcony, very well-stocked kitchen, plenty of beach supplies, and books.
Two suggestions: clean better around the grill area, and include a Pack n Play or crib for babies! The place is so well-stocked otherwise, that it would be nice not to have to bring your own crib.

Ryan was amazing and more than accommodating for our stay. The condo was wonderful with an amazing view as well as a great location. The kids didn't want to leave the condo during our stay. We made the mistake of originally booking a place in South Kihei and after staying one night there, we were scrambling to find other accommodations. Ryan responded super fast to my inquiry and really helped save our vacation by getting us into this beautiful place. We would definitely stay there again and will be sure to share our wonderful experience with our friends and family. Great kitchen, great living space, and large bedrooms and bathrooms.

This was our third stay at the Kaanapali Royal but our first time in this unit. Both Jeanne and Monty helped us with one minor issue upon arrival. The unit was so clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, even chip clips which were much appreciated! We had seven people — three generations of family with the youngest being teenagers. “Grammy” commented as we checked out that she wants to stay in this exact unit again in the future.

This is a beautiful home. The kitchen had literally everything we needed and more! For the pool and the beach we had towels, toys, and chairs. The master suite is amazing, and its bathroom was fantastic with a large glass shower and dual vanity. We needed the 2nd bedroom for three people, and it was nicely set up for them. We loved the location on the property as the kids were able to walk right off the lanai and across the grass to the pool. It’s a short walk to a little mall with restaurants, coffee shop, shave ice, and a general store. You can even catch the Ka’anapali Trolley there for a free ride to Whalers’ Village. Fantastic place to spend a few days, a week, or longer!
