The Kihei Bay Vista complex and condo is one of the most desirable locations due to the size of condos and complex. With only 60 units and 2 stories, you are located just across from the small beach of Kalepolepo and a block from the 4 mile long Sugar Beach. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 TV's (one in living area, one in bedroom), electronics, iron/iron board, beach gear, free internet, linens. Queen bed in bedroom w/TV and queen, and blow up mattress for living area for additional guests. A large lanai is the most wonderful place to sit and get the morning started, evening relaxation, or just to relax with that tropical drink and read a book. The complex provides guests with BBQ grills on site to cook that Ono "delicious" catch of the day or meal of choice. They also have a fantastic pool and covered pavilion area, hot tub is terrific after a long day on Island.

Everything was fine. The condo was clean. Nice table on the balcony. The condos were secluded and there was no highway noise. But they were an easy walking distance to the humpback, whale exhibit and shopping and restaurants. It was a bit of a hall to get my 50 pound suitcase up to the second floor condo but we made it.

The pictures are accurate but likely taken a couple years ago. Everything is just the same but worn and dated. It was tidy but not clean if that makes sense. The unit needs a deep deep clean like all the nooks and crannies. Upon walking in, it was HOT. We turned on the one ac unit in the front room and it started to cool pretty quickly; although, it smelled musty and the button is broken. The bedroom is in the back and was super warm. The ceiling fan only goes one speed - slow. There was no bulb in the side table lamp so pretty dark as well. The bedspread smelled laundered but it was stained (chocolate? blood? something red/brown) in multiple places. Everything up to this point was tolerable and we would have settled for the less than a perfect stay... until we realized the biggest issue - ants everywhere. When I say everywhere, I mean EVERYWHERE. They were crawling all along the walls, along the floor boards, all over the kitchen, in the front room, crawling on us while we were sitting on the couch, and in the bed. That's where I drew the line. I can tolerate ants in the kitchen or bathroom, but I work too damn hard, spent too much money, and traveled too far to allow myself to sleep with bugs crawling on me during my dream vacation in Maui. I contacted the property manager who said they've never had an issue with bugs in the unit (Mind you, there was a nearly empty can of Raid under the sink.). There's no way that's true. The unit is INFESTED with an ant colony that lives in the walls. It's to the point where they acted like roaches, which I have never seen ants do - I turned on the kitchen light and a bunch ran under the toaster. Then when I picked up the toaster there were dozens scrambling for cover. They're crawling in and out of the crevices between the counter shared by the kitchen and front room, all up and down the cabinets, all down the baseboards. Just everywhere. The property manager asked for pictures so I emailed a few. She said someone would come by to put down some ant traps the next day and that it would take a couple days to clear up the ants. Not sure if it worked. We left. I couldn't do it. I took the $1800 loss and spent twice as much getting a nice hotel room for the rest of our trip, but it was worth it. We did what we needed to do to turn the nightmare into a dream vacation.

The rental looked even better than the pictures and was very clean upon arrival. It has everything you need to enjoy your trip including beach items and coolers for day trips around the island. Kitchen is fully supplied. Washer and dryer worked great. I would definitely recommend this to any friends and family coming to Maui. I will book this place again!

In my opinion the unit was not maintained very well. TV was broken, the porch, entranceway and steps were very dirty. The blinds in the bedroom were very old and worn out. We had a problem with bugs in the unit and the property manager dropped off a can of insect spray. They left it up to me to treat the insect problem. I spent my entire stay spraying bugs. I finally got them under control by the end of my vacation (two weeks). They did replace the TV, but that was pretty much it - no other help from the property manager.

We came to look at real estate on Maui. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. We were pleasantly surprised with how much better the accommodation was than where we stayed the previous week in Waikiki. I was surprised to find the unit included a full kitchen and vacation toys, such as boogie boards! We thought the accommodation was fantastic!

We stayed here for about 3 weeks and its awesome! Very quiet, clean, wifi works good, kitchen is fully stocked. I was working remotely and sometimes the cell signal (I have AT&T) inside the apartment was very weak and I would need to take phone calls outside (which was fine since the weather was gorgeous). But other than that it was great!

We got bit in the condo the entire time. Property manager. Stated probably beach fleas. None of our friends got bit at the beach. Asked to be moved. all that was done was a quick look at the bed for bed bugs. Also Tiny little bugs in restroom. I paid a lot of money for one week stay. I feel more should of been done.

Note: Vacancy calendar is approximate. Visit the owner/manager's reservation site to verify your dates.
