The condo was clean, well-stocked, and far enough away from the craziness found farther south on South Kihei Rd but close enough to everything we needed. Loved the beach right across the street. We especially liked that the condo was well built so no sound came through the walls or ceilings, even though we had neighbors above and next to us. We had a small problem with the TV cable box but a call to the management company had someone at our door in less than 15 minutes.

Most everything about this location was great. Facility was quiet and clean. Condo had beach chairs and an ice chest to use. Only about half of the condos seemed to be in use. Only thing to be aware of is that this location is where the wind comes through so lots of sand on balcony each day. Didn’t experience this at other locations we have stayed. Entrance to parking lot was always marked with a small sand dune which was our landmark for the week.

The location was great, right across the street from the beach and close to restaurants and things we liked to do. The condo could definitely use some upgrades. The key lock on the door was old. The lock box cover fell off. Stains on the carpet. The screen door kept getting stuck making it hard to close. The bathroom was right out of the 1970’s. The toilet was the shortest one I’ve seen for years. There was no non-slip mat in the shower which I thought was an accident waiting to happen. The bed was very comfortable which was nice. Everything was in good condition but it just needs some updating.

Well equipped, quiet unit. Had everything we needed, and extras we didn't expect. Very comfortable mattress, but needs new sheets that will actually stay on. Making the reservation, accessing the unit, and checking out was a breeze. Loved reading by the pool and relaxing on the lanai. Would definitely stay there again!

It was great. Very nicely decorated. They were well stocked for just about any issue..We Experienced several nights of heavy rain which flooded The parking lot but was fine by morning. The only issue for us was that parking was in the back of the unit , so We had to carry things pretty far. Not a big issue but we are in our 70's

We really enjoyed our stay. Very convenient to other parts of the island. And loved that we could walk across the street to a very nice and secluded beach.
Although window units kept the entire unit cool and comfortable, they did not help manage dampness (maybe filters could be changed more frequently?). Noticed the difference in both our congestion/stuffiness for the 2 days we spent in a unit on the Big Island.

Aloha! Overall our stay at Kihei has some pros and cons that made me give a 3star rating here. Home has a very nice location, well stocked home with beach equipment and kitchen supplies all set well; it also had good enough laundry and cleaning supplies. Also to mention before and after reaching Kihei the staff was very communicative and prompt in making sure we made it to the rental. Some downsides are apartment needs updates really bad; door locks, carpets dirty, bed is sagging and very old, bed sheets had stains, bathroom was not very clean, couch was old and rough.. we had to do a laundry before using the bed and had to put a sheet on the couch before using it! A/C on bedroom is very noisy and had to pretty much wipe down everything before we used it. TV did not work for the time that we were in the rental and there is a serious need for updates and rental condition does not look like what was advertised. Kihei however was a great location, people are very friendly. Mahalo!

Overall, the condo was nice. The location was right across the street from the Humpback Whale sanctuary with a lagoon that has turtles. The kitchen was well-appointed. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and found that, unlike other condo communities where we have stayed in Kihei, these were not crowded. Our only comments are that the carpet has some staining and the furniture is a bit dated.

This is a cute, one bedroom condo across the street from a very small beach. It does have a very cool cove that sea turtles come into in the evening. The only thing I did not like about this condo is the very small bathroom. It was difficult to move around in the tub toilet area. Other than that it was convenient to restaurants, shops, and other things to do. We did enjoy our time there.

Both me and my wife felt it was really our home away from home. The place was clean and stocked up with the essentials pretty well. We would definitely come back to this place. I just have one suggestion though. A little uprgade on the furnitures. Having a smart TV would be a start.

The beach chairs and coolers were such a bonus!We ate our breakfasts at the condo and made lunch to bring in the cooler everyday and ate dinners out. The location was wonderful and we loved to walk on the beach close by in the mornings. We would swim at the pool every evening as well. Everything was wonderful. It was the perfect 20th wedding anniversary stay. Thank you for giving us the perfect place to stay. We got home just before the fires started and send our love to everyone on the island who was affected. It was heartbreaking to see the news when we had just visited all of those places. Maui will always have a very special place in our hearts.

This apartment was perfect for us. The location is ideal if you want a quiet, chilled holiday - I would say you definitely need a car as most things are over a 30 minute walk away. You can see the sea from the balcony, there’s a quiet little beach directly across the road. The apartment has everything you could need - washer/dryer, coolers, camp chairs, loads of closet space, huge bed, two TVs, and access to a pool & hot tub. I would stay here again for sure, we had a blast.

We stayed at Bay Vista because we like the property and general location. The specific unit was chosen because we wanted a ground floor and to save on fees by using Maui Rentals. The unit is dated, things broken, and not spotless, but we put up with it for the location. The parking lot flooding was not under the control of the owner or Mgnt co. To avoid flooding don’t visit in winter months or stay away from North Kihei.

We stayed in unit A103 from November 17th till December 19th, 2022, we had stayed in this same unit in January 2020 and it was fine, but the unit has gone downhill, we found mold on the bathroom shower curtain, and on the bath mat in the tub, the bathroom vanity has one door just hanging and will not close, the outdoor furniture is metal and is rusty to the point I cut my arm, the broadloom in the condo is very badly stained, the living room furniture is old and tired a good shampoo might help, my wife had to clean all the pots and pans as they were left very dirty, the kitchen has been redone is nice, the bedroom in the ad says King but is a Queen, the ad did say no air in bedroom HOT HOT the suns hits the bedroom all day even with the blinds closed by bedtime its like 85 degrees they supplied 3 fans and you need all them going 24 hrs a day. We took pictures of all the issues and went to show Rentals Maui what the condo is really like, they were very responsive to our issues and did give us some compensation, We have used Rental Maui for our last 4 visits and I would use them for our next trip but I would never stay A103 again. Kihei Bay Vista is a nice clean complex not large has a great pool and spar tub, the grounds are kept in tip-top shape, very clean BBQ, and parking is good, best part is right across the street to the beach. close to everything, we used Kihei Rent a Car older reliable cars had one for a month was all over the island with no problems and great local people to deal with and good savings compared to airport rentals.

This is a good property for a one week stay. It is not set up for additional days or weeks. Housekeeping is needed for a longer stay. Information about property needs to be updated and should be seen by office reservation staff so they are more knowledgeable and correct when questions arise. Example: I was given a code for the pool bathroom and code for garbage. Pool does not have a bathroom and garbage is a dumpster. Maintenance staff was excellent and greatly appreciated for the promptness when a problem arose.

The condo has everything you need to be comfortable during your stay. Comfortable bed, air conditioning and ceiling fans to keep the place a comfortable temperature. A well equipped kitchen, washer and dryer etc. But by far my favorite part of the property is that you are just across the street from the beach. Turtles are there every morning and you can watch the sunset without many people. It was amazing to be so close and also enjoy the view from the deck. We will stay here again!

From the organizing and communication via Rentals Maui prior to travel to the location and amenities within the actual unit we were very impressed and pleased. At first I was worried that sleeping would be difficult with the A/C unit only being in the living room area but there were sufficient fans to move the air around. Although the unit could do with a fresh coat of paint it would be hard to select a different one as the location, privacy and view from this particular unit were perfect. We aren’t people who return to destinations (too much world to see) but for the right price at the right time we would happily incorporate a stop over into a future vacation.

Seemed to be lots of little things slightly off about our unit. Kitchen sink faucet nearly came off in my hand, toilet seat was broken, bedroom fan outlet was very loose and almost completely out of the wall, and in general this unit is in need of widespread upgrading. Rentals Maui fixed the kitchen faucet and the toilet seat right away. Thank you to them. The other items we let slide...this was vacation time. While we were generally disappointed in the condition of the unit we had a great time and met people from all over N. America.

Be advised that there are steps up to ALL first floor units, so if u have injuries, ambulatory difficulties or cant carry items up stairs this may be an issue for you that you would want to know about in advance.
The front door deadbolt was very hard to open. Concerned we might end up locked out. Management said the key was slightly warped and they gave us a new key. Which was not perfect but better.
Room was hot when we arrived because the Mgnt company turns the ac off until the renter arrives. Also there is no ac in the bedroom only 1 wall unit in the living room which wasn't turned on for our arrival. It took a few hours to cool the unit down. So it was uncomfortable and concerning for a while. It eventually cools the unit enough to sleep in the bedroom.
Surprisingly There were a lot of maintenance issues with the unit.
Management was responsive and sent out a woman named Linda fairly quickly. She was very nice.
Most of the problems were resolved. Door Lock in lavatory/ toilet area was broken. So they sent out a handyman to change the door hardware.
He also needed toneeded to raise the shower curtain 12 inches as it was in the tub and on the floor .
And...the toilet was not flushing properly. So the handyman fix that as well while we were out .
The Bathroom cabinet hinges need maintenance. One is loose, the other doesn't close all the way. (Not addressed)
Small hole in the wall behind the bathroom door knob where the knob hits the wall. A door stopper was missing.( not addressed,)
Slider door lock in living room is broken and doesnt work. theres a stick for the track .( not addressed,)Bedroom Ceiling fan dimmer switch only has off and on control working. High medium, low and off should all work. So you have to control the speed of the ceiling fan by the small chain on the fan( not addressed,)
Window Screen in bedroom is torn ..( not addressed,)Dead mummified lizard in the inside window sill.Floor Fan needed cleaning there were balls of dust hanging off of it.
The living room drapes needed cleaning. They smelled bad and had mold or mildew on them . I started sneezing and wheezing. Management changed the drapes and the unit smelled much better. So that was very nice of them to change out the drapes so quickly.
And they provided clothes pins upon request to close the curtains in the living room.

Great location , small pool but adequate to cool off after beach.. Small beach right across street and others were within 10-15 min drive. Quiet complex. Condo could use a little upgrade , but every worked fine. Small amenities very helpful ... Didn't cook much but kitchen had everything you might need. Beach chairs are a bit worn and umbrella on its last legs but they worked ok. Single AC in living room but it does cool whole apt. Could use a little more start up paper goods ie towels , TP ,tissues. Lahaina about 25 min away and Wialea about 15 min. .Perfect for two people

I was very disappointed in just the Condo itself. Everything else was wonderful, our view, the pool, the location and the atmosphere of the complex, we were not in our Condo alot so it worked out ok. The carpet is awful, and the bathroom is a huge drawback, OLD!! The bed however was very comfortable. Sliding screen door doesn’t work and they said that it couldn’t be fixed.

The location was fine with a partial ocean view. The condo itself was clean but needed updating as furniture was old. Bathroom was also in need of updating. There was only 1 bath towel and it was in need of bleaching. Kitchen was well stocked except for measuring cups or coffee filters. No dish towels. Or dish rags. Bathroom floor badly stained so looked dirty.
Carpet and couch looked very worn. Blinds in the bedroom were not good for blocking the parking lot lights at night. Slider screen doesn’t close all the way with gap at the top.

We were looking to stay in a place on the west side of Maui with the ability to drive all over the island - this was the perfect spot for a few days! We were able to walk across the beach and see the sunset nightly. The space was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the area was quiet.

My mom and I stayed at this rental for 6 nights and closer to the end of our stay we realized the bed was infested with bed bugs. I originally thought my bites were from mosquitos but then I noticed that the bites were all concentrated in several areas and decided to check the bed. I found some bed bug feces (small dark stains) and blood marks from the bites. By the end of the trip I had 20 bites on my left arm and my upper arm was swollen, 9 on my right hand (also swollen) and several bites in a few other places. The place is (somewhat) affordable and is in a great location so if you do choose to stay here, for you own comfort please check the beds.

This trip to Maui was awsome and couldn’t have found a better place to stay. We were right across from the beach so every morning and evening we took a stroll saw turtles. It was perfect! The property was immaculate the maintenance guy was awsome Ty for great memories

Loved all the extra stuff there. Beach towels, beach chairs and spices. Was a bit concerned that toilet may stop up but it never did. Liked the location of the place.

We spent 3 nights in this condo. It was perfect for us. We were on our anniversary trip, just the two of us. The bed was comfortable, the condo is clean, and the location was perfect. If you are looking for a nice central location, this was great. We were able to get to most places in Maui in 30 minutes - except the Road to Hana. If we went back to Maui we would stay here again.

Kihei Bay Vista was the perfect place for us to stay while we were on Maui. The grounds are beautiful, it is quiet and relaxing(very different than staying in a big hotel)and the central location makes it easier to get to all parts of the island. The condo was well equipped for all our needs, and we quickly made it our home away from home. It was the perfect place for us ~ we will definitely be back again soon! Mahalo!
