The condo was lovely and was really well-stocked. We did by basic groceries, but the kitchen had olive oil, salt, pepper and spices and a full range of kitchen equipment (including baking pans!) and sharp knives! It's a very short walk to the Mauna Lani hotel with its restaurants and to a lovely, sheltered beach. The pool is well set up and everything is very, very clean. There's a Foodland in the complex (2 minute drive) and it's a very short drive to the lovely white sand beach at Hapuna state park. We came in at night and had to search a little to find the right building, but that was the only thing that was trouble.

Condo buildings are not well marked so a bit of trouble finding our building the first night in the dark. Key pad to enter the complex was also a bit difficult to locate in the dark. We walked everyday on the numerous walking trails, swam in the pool and at the beach and enjoyed the lanai morning and evening with coffee or glass of wine. It was my bad for not asking the owner how far of a walk the beach was. I assumed property was set up for easy beach access, as they said beachfront. Instead it was a bit of a walk around ponds on an asphalt path, with us carrying all our beach gear.
Except for this misunderstanding, we enjoyed our time. The condo is very spacious and has everything you need for a lovely stay. Views are wonderful!
A couple of things came up during our stay (because sometimes things happen). Nothing major and nothing that really affected our stay. Jasper and Joanne were quick to alert us and apologetic. Cathy, (the housesitter? on island manager?) stopped by one day as we were told she would. She was a joy to meet!
All in all we would recommend, as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk to get to the beach.

Everything about the Mauna Lani Lagoon Terrace condo was great. The location allows easy access to the beach (5 minute walk) or pool (60-second walk), along with the rest of the Big Island (Kona, Mauna Kea, Volcanos...). The unit is quiet and comfortable (fans were great, never even thought about the AC), and it basically has every amenity that you could wish for. Everything in the kitchen is top-notch. Everything in the condo is top-notch! The lanai was a perfect space from early mornings through evenings. We'll definitely look for this condo again on our next trip to the Big Island.

Lovely condo at the Lagoon Terraces at the Mauna Lani resort area. No view of the ocean but nice overlooking the lagoon. Very well stocked, everything you need including beach chairs, ice chest, spices, large washer/dryer, 2 full baths. Access to the beach club was great and easy walk next door to the Mauna Lani resort. Pool area for the condos was wonderful, usually empty. Location was near Waikoloa and Mauna Kea/Hapuna. Unit was exactly as described and communication with the owner could not have been better.

I was very pleased with my stay. The condo was very clean, well appointed and is in a terrific location. Steps to the ocean and an easy walk to the beach club, the hotel and the shops. I did have an issue with the fridge when I arrived. Donna was very responsive and tried her best to resolve the problem. Fortunately it wasn't a big issue.
Only a couple of suggestions, have a binder with all the info needed from check-in to check-out as well as suggestions for people not familiar with the area. For anyone interested in cooking stock up on your basic items as what's in the condo is hit or miss, the counter space is limited but workable and the pots and pans a beginning to reach the end of their life.
All in all a great place and will definitely be back!!

We loved stayed at this wonderful penthouse flat with an ocean view! The owner was very communicative, friendly, and open to questions about activities. She even had fresh fruit for us upon arrival! The flat is clean and comfortable with a fabulous deck that spans the length of the entire apartment and looks over a fish pond. The location is excellent—it's a short walk to both the historic fish ponds and to Beach Club Beach (a white sand beach with amazing snorkeling and good swimming). There are several places to eat (or get cocktails and ice cream) nearby. The condo is up 2 flights of stairs, which was not a problem for us, but might be a consideration for some. Parking for one car is close by. If you're looking for resort amenities along with the comfort and privacy of your own place, this is it!

Mauna Lani Terrace is unmatched for its location at the fish ponds. The kitchen had everything one may need for cooking, including spices and some non-perishables. Another plus is a nearby grocery store. We also took advantage of the fitness club access. There is great snorkeling off-the beach at the Beach Club and there are several nice spots within a short drive. Everything is just as it is on the pictures. One minor issue was bedroom lighting - it was very dim and it would be nice to update the lights. Communication with the management was easy and smooth. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Hawai'i.

We booked this trip for our 30th Anniversary. Our only regret is that we did not book for a longer time. The property was exceptional and beyond our expectation. The view was spectacular and every amenity you could think of was provided. This property was the absolute cleanest of any rental property I've ever stayed at. My recent stay at The Terrace in Mauna Lani was nothing short of spectacular. As frequent visitors to the Big Island with Ohana living in Hawaii, we've come to appreciate the Mauna Lani area, and The Terrace proved to be the ideal haven within this beautiful resort paradise.
The condo itself is a gem, boasting spaciousness, warmth, and impeccable provisions. It's abundantly clear that the hosts have gone the extra mile to ensure guests' comfort, as every detail from the furnishings to the amenities was thoughtfully curated. The sense of welcome envelops you as you step in, setting the tone for a truly relaxing vacation experience.
However, the crown jewel of this stay undoubtedly lies in the exclusive access to the beach club. The beach club has retained its charm and intimate atmosphere despite its growing popularity over the years. The allure of having your own private beach, complete with excellent swimming and snorkeling opportunities, is truly unparalleled. I was disheartened to find out that Uncle Gary's beach rental shack is no longer a part of the scene. (a story and rant for a different day).
I must commend Donna, our point of contact, for her exceptional communication throughout our stay. Her responsiveness and willingness to assist added an extra layer of convenience to the entire experience.

The unit has a partial ocean view over pond and pool. From the parking area, it’s a close walk and two sets of stairs to reach. The unit has been mostly updated and has a nice, spacious feel and large balcony. It was well stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, towels & snorkel gear for the beach. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the beach club cove area is a 10 minute walk. We enjoyed the proximity to the hotels and ate meals at all of them. The little shopping area is a quick drive or 10 minute walk and had good shops and restaurants also. Overall, it was a beautiful area and fun place to stay.

This property is in a great location - walking distance to a private beach and restaurant in addition to the restaurants offered at the Mauna Lani Hotel and a very short drive to the shops. The view from the lanai is beautiful and it’s one of the few units that has comfortable outdoor seating to soak up the ocean view. You will have just a 30 second walk to the pool!

We found this property last minute when we changed our trip to the Big Island due to the fires on Maui. I was absolutely blown away by the condo, the photos do not do it justice! My favorite things were the beautiful wooden doors on the inside of the doors to the lanai. I loved opening them each morning and taking in the beauty of the property. Daniel was a fantastic host and made sure everything was taken care of for us. The kitchen has more utensils and supplies than I do at home (and even Tupperware too!). We enjoyed the pool at least once a day, which we almost always had to ourselves, and the beautiful private beach. We were amazed at the fish and coral we could see while snorkeling right from the beach! I also appreciated the wagon and beach chairs; every detail was considered when setting up this home. We absolutely hope to stay here again the next time we visit.

The E building is well-situated -- far enough from the hotel to preserve a feeling of quiet and privacy, yet close enough to the ocean to make it easy to slip out for a swim at any time of day. You can tell that it's well-maintained, and it was especially clean when we arrived. Everything that we needed for our trip was provided. The location is one of our favorites within the Terraces -- a nice view of the ocean in the distance, without getting caught up in the sights and sounds of the hotel. Dave and Sue were also incredibly helpful with respect to our checkin -- we were arriving from nearby, and were able to check in early with no difficulties. The complex was really quiet when we were there, which we loved! Before we went, I thought the pool seemed small, but we used it twice and had it mainly to ourselves. We just rather be at the beach! The Location within the Mauna Lani resort community cannot be beat You can walk to two beautiful beaches and close five minute drive to a great snorkeling beach within the community. You have access to the Mauna Lani resort and amenities: beach, cushioned chaise lounge chairs on sand. pool, restaurants. Condo is fully stocked with supplies and even has lotion, sunscreen, shampoo and conditioners in each bathroom. Full cabinet of beach supplies (chairs, towels, boogie boards, snorkeling gear. Beautiful property, great location. Be aware that the condo is designed for extremely tall people. You will need to take advantage of a step stool if you are not really tall, including reaching the refrigerator shelves, the bed in master bedroom, etc

This corner unit was fantastic. A nice stroll to the private beach for snorkeling or a stroll the other direction to have an amazing cocktail at the Auberge Bar.

We could not recommend Lauren's property enough! It was sparkling clean when we arrived and just a beautiful layout...perfect for our family of 4. The views from the condo are peaceful and beautiful and the balcony is such a great place to hang out and relax. The location was convenient to several beaches, restaurants and amenities. We used the fitness center, tennis courts and also golfed on property...all amenities were wonderful. Lauren gave me so much information ahead of our visit and was so willing to help in any way. Would absolutely stay again...a beautiful home away from home!

We had a wonderful stay. Great sunsets. Convenient location. Gave it a 4 in cleanliness just because the blinds and a couple of other areas needed dusting...mostly spring cleaning types of things. That didn't adversely affect our enjoyment of our stay. Would stay here again!

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying here to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was nothing short of perfect! The location was beautiful with a view out onto the lagoon and conveniently located very close to excellent walking paths that led to nearby beaches. The condo was thoughtfully configured with a wonderful kitchen, new laundry appliances and luxurious towels and other amenities. SUPER relaxing and absolutely first rate! Fantastic communication with the owner, too, who went out of his way to ensure our stay was everything we expected. In short, one of the best places we've stayed on the Big Island. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for our vacation and to attend my brother's wedding at the Mauna Lani hotel. The apartment was exactly as described. Perfect spot and lots of space to unwind and sit on the porch at the start and end of the day. It had everything we needed. The host gave us SO much helpful info and lots of tips.
