We booked this trip for our 30th Anniversary. Our only regret is that we did not book for a longer time. The property was exceptional and beyond our expectation. The view was spectacular and every amenity you could think of was provided. This property was the absolute cleanest of any rental property I've ever stayed at. The hosts were in communication promptly throughout the process and provided clear instructions and several options for sightseeing and restaurants. Pueo's Osteria is highly recommended!!! If we ever make it back I will definitely be rebooking here.

We've stayed in several units throughout Mauna Lani over the years, and we were very happy with Dave and Sue's unit. You can tell that it's well-maintained, and it was especially clean when we arrived. Everything that we needed for our trip was provided. The location is one of our favorites within the Terraces -- a nice view of the ocean in the distance, without getting caught up in the sights and sounds of the hotel. Dave and Sue were also incredibly helpful with respect to our checkin -- we were arriving from nearby, and were able to check in early with no difficulties. I know that's not always possible, but we were especially grateful that it worked in this case. Thank you, Dave and Sue!

We stayed here for our vacation and to attend my brother's wedding at the Mauna Lani hotel. The apartment was exactly as described. Perfect spot and lots of space to unwind and sit on the porch at the start and end of the day. It had everything we needed. The host gave us SO much helpful info and lots of tips.

It was so wonderful to wake up each morning and sit out on the lanai with our coffee, with such wonderful views and ocean breezes. It was very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked well. The beautiful condo had everything we could have needed. We cooked in most days, and it was so easy with the well supplied kitchen- oven, microwave, dishwasher, All-Clad pans, plenty of dishes and glasses. We enjoyed walking along the beach, paths and to the nearby stores. The owners provided great recommendations on the area both before we got there and also in the booklet left in the condo. The complex has a great pool area with plenty of lounge chairs. The grill area is designed wonderfully. There are two grills that are open any time, and three that you need to reserve. There are separate dining areas in front of each of the grills. It was also very nice that none of the facilities were crowded during our stay.

My husband and I had such a lovely time staying in this condo. The location was so convenient to all the amenities on the resort property. The walks to the beach along the fish ponds were so picturesque!
Kitchen was well stocked, bed was comfortable, everything was provided for beach activities, and the lanais were so inviting. We drank our coffee out on the lanai in the morning and played cards out on it in the evening.
The owners were responsive and ensured our stay was unforgettable.
If we make it back to the Big Island we definitely will stay here again!

We really enjoyed staying at this VRBO in Mauna Lani. It was clean, well stocked, accurately advertised. The owner was helpful with any issues. We used the grills, pool, and hot tub. The other guests we met were very friendly. We ate lunch at Tommy Bahama in the complex and it was delicious. We also found a brochure for Charley's Thai and it was very good. The shopping was nice and we would not have realized it was there if we had not looked for Charley's Thai. We visited 3 historic sites on the Kona side of the Big Island and learned more about it's history. We did not use the beach gear but would if we visited again. I would highly recommend this rental.

The condo is lovely and furnished very well. You feel as if you are walking into your own dream home with everything ready to make your vacation awesome.
The resort itself was quiet, extremely well maintained, and we treasured every minute. The walk to the beach is an easy one. The grocery store is close, as well as other cute shops.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks in this luxury condo. The furnishing was Tommy Bahama quality with an Asian accent. Beautifully done.
Kitchen was stocked with everything one needs and the appliances were brand new! A few minutes walk to the Terrace pool where we could barbecue and go for a swim before dinner. The private beach was just a short drive away. We’ve stayed at the Terrace condos many times...this was by far our favorite. We will be back!

Our usual condo at Mauna Lani Point was not available for our dates, so we found this wonderful condo - and now we like it more than our previous place! Don't get us wrong: both locations are wonderful, but you can't beat the location of the Terrace. You can walk to the beach club, you are steps away from the Auberge Hotel grounds and restaurants, very close to the shopping center including Foodland grocery store. The unit itself is very private and has a wonderful view. It's stocked with everything you'll need. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and plan to be back next year!

We had a wonderful stay here. The condo is beautifully maintained and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO properties and this had one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve ever experienced. I appreciate that as I always cook on vacation (which is one of the main reasons we stay in a condo instead of hotel). We would stay here again if/when we return to the Big Island. We came for the ironman event and staying here made it that much better.

This is an attractive, well-maintained accommodation with everything anyone would need. The views out the lanais were gorgeous and the sunsets were amazing. The two bathrooms were convenient, the kitchen well-equipped, and the bed was comfortable. We value privacy & quiet and had both these things to a high level. As others have noted, Dave and Sue provided lots of valuable information prior to our arrival. They care about their guests. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Dave & Sues's beautiful condo in May, 2022. Everything about it was perfect. The pictures of it on VRBO are exactly what it looks like. Beautiful! We opened the door and both of us said a loud, "WOW"! The owners have thoughtfully supplied their home with all of the comforts you can imagine. The location on the Mauna Lani area is excellent. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable, even has beach chairs and beach towels provided. Everything in this home is of excellent quality. Our first night we sat on the beautiful lanai and started to make plans to return to this condo. Truly exceptional!

My husband and I spent the month of March in this gorgeous location and hated to leave! We travel frequently and this condo was one of the best equipped we've ever rented. The attentive owners provided us with lots of information on the property, as well as on the island itself. This was especially helpful since this was our first visit. We loved the beach club, the outdoor spaces, the restaurants within walking distance, and those gorgeous sunsets every night. Our first trip to Hawaii, but definitely not our last. Before our trip, the host sent us an email with suggestions regarding local attractions and restaurants, beach access and strategic timing. We used the well equipped kitchen for coffee and breakfast. We were pleased to find the numerous restaurants at the Mauna Lani Resort to accommodate most of our spontaneous dinner reservations. This property is perfect! It is incredibly private and has so much usable outdoor space. The interior is beautifully appointed, but I don't think we ever sat anywhere except outside. The location is conveniently located to the beach club and shoreline trail. We often found ourselves the only ones on the beach for sunset or at the pool. It was magical! The owners were very communicative and quick to respond. We would definitely come back!

The condo was perfect -- my husband and I stayed for a week and really enjoyed the location. Mauna Lani is a beautiful area and the condo complex (grounds and pool) were very nice. Walking distance to the Auberge and the Fairmont hotels were a plus. Dave was so helpful before answering questions and the information packet was perfect. Great recommendations for dinner, the Ul'u Ocean Grill (Four Seasons) and the Mauna Lani Beach Club were highlights. Overall great trip!

Dave and Sue sent information about the rental immediately after we booked and continued providing details about amenities and attractions in the weeks leading up to our trip as well as up to date info on Hawaii’s COVID travel protocols. The condo was immaculate and well equipped for a lengthy stay. The lanai overlooks the Mauna Lani fish ponds, which you also pass through on a short walk to the beach. Rental includes access to the the Beach Club and pool and provides and covered parking spot. It is a short drive to the Mauna Lani resort shops and just a few minutes to the more extensive dining and shopping options at Waikoloa Village. Perfect location for day trips to sites on the Kohala coast. Would highly recommended and will definitely look to book this property again.

We stayed at Dave & Sue's condo for a week in June of 2021 and found it to be a wonderful place to relax as well as a convenient base of operations for exploring the island of Hawaii.
The condo itself is spacious with two bathrooms two showers, a large living room and kitchen and two covered lanais overlooking the fishponds. It's about a 5 minute walk to the beach and conveniently a 10 min walk to the Mauna Lani beach club. The condo has tall ceilings with fans and A/C and is very well appointed with all of the kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies you might need.
We didnt have any issues whatsoever so didn't need to interact with Dave & Sue too much, but really appreciated them checking in to confirm that we were settled OK and providing thoughtful tips and recommendations ahead of us arriving on-island. They even provided us up-to-date COVID information!
We really enjoyed our stay and will look back to it as our #1 option on the Big Island.

A beautifully furnished and convenient condo. For several years we had been staying at the Mauna Lani Hotel because of the great snorkeling at the Beach Club, the lovely grounds, the climate and the impressive hotel. When it was closed for renovation we decided to stay in one of the Mauna Lani Terrace condominiums that arc around the lagoons. It would still mean easy access to the beaches and the rest of the grounds. This residence is not oceanfront like the room at the hotel but it excels in many other ways. It has elegant furnishings and art items, two bathrooms (one with separate tub and shower and two sink/mirro/large counter arrangements), a well equipped kitchen, and three separate lani spaces facing on the tranquil lagoon with a bit of ocean view. The owners were extremely helpful with information and any issues. Frankly we would go back rather than stay at the hotel again.

We were so happy with this condo! Dave and sue made everything really easy. The location was great, the condo had everything we needed, and the decor is beautiful. Our goal was relaxation and snorkeling, and we found our favorite place to snorkel was the beach just a short walk from the condo. We chose masks, fins, and snorkels from their supply and used them the whole time. The pool area is beautiful and many times we had it all to ourselves or with one other couple. We also walked directly to the comfy lounges on the beach in front of the condos to watch the sunsets each evening. Otherwise, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck. There are nice shops, restaurants, and a grocery store nearby. We definitely want to come back!

Gorgeous views from a relaxing, spacious condo on the first floor, a few steps below parking level. Watch fish swimming right off the lanai or take a short walk out to the coastline to watch sunset from the club's cabanas and chairs.

Everything was as advertised. Dave responded quickly when we had questions! Location was good! The Beach Club was a quick walk from the town home! We went to several snorkel beaches, utilizing the units snorkel gear, beach chairs and boogie boards! We are just sorry that we didn't get enough time to enjoy the patio with fish pond and ocean view! We would defintely stay here again!

My husband and I really enjoyed the condo. We loved the multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas, the fully equipped kitchen, and the availability of beach/snorkeling equipment.
We have stayed at Mauna Lani before, both at the hotel and at the Mauna Lani Point. The Beach Club is great: wonderful beach and excellent food at the restaurant. However, we honestly we're disappointed that the hotel and overall property was going through major construction, and some of the facilities and amenities we looked forward to were unavailable, including the Mauna Lani Spa, the hotel grounds and restaurants, and the golf course restaurant (Troon Golf is actually out of compliance by not having a restaurant). We were unaware of this construction and closures were happening when we booked the unit.
That said, we still had a great time, and the condo itself is excellent.
