Walking in the front door takes your breath with expansive ocean views! The location is perfect to walk to the 1Hotell for amazing food, drinks and decor. The condo was very clean and super comfortable with everything you could possibly need. All the linens were high quality and the towels were soft and plentiful. Everything is brand new and the overall feeling is fresh, even the kitschy shower tiles.

Rental was in excellent condition. Perfect for family of 4 with 2 children. Unit doesn’t have AC but cooled off very quickly once windows were opened and fans turned on. Recently renovated and in good shape. 10 minute walk to Hideaway beach. Short easy drive to market in Princeville and Hanalei for beach and food. Beautiful view and sunsets in the summertime.

We stayed here for 2 weeks with our 2 teens and loved this property and location. The views were incredible and we loved the sunsets every night. We were able to walk to the beach where the snorkeling was fantastic, as well as to Queen's Bath. With no AC, it did get hot in the afternoons some days when it was sunny, but it cooled down at night and we were provided fans, which made it comfortable. The decor is dated, but comfortable and we had all the space we needed (it's bigger than it seems online). Beds were comfy. The pool and hot tub were nice as well. Thanks for a great vacay!

We showed a lizard inside our bathroom so initially we were afraid. We called the property manager but she said we can't do anything. One of our toilets was not working but they sent someone to fix it very quickly. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The views and location of this place can't be beat. Yes, the furniture is outdated and it gets a bit warm in the afternoon, but you know that going in (if you've done your research). The views more than make up for it. The place was clean and comfortable with everything you should need. My only gripes are that there should be 4 beach towels (we only had 3) and there should be more chairs out on the patio. For the price, this place is great.

We arrived late and it was a breeze to find and use the keypad entry. In the morning we were greeted with the most amazing view as we had breakfast on the balcony. In the morning watch surfers and snorklers, in the evening the sunsets are priceless! Access to a few secret beaches was very fun and just challenging enough and with very good “right off shore” snorkeling. The unit had everything you need and more. We used the beach chairs and cooler, as well as the well equipped kitchen. We didn’t use any of the resort amenities so I can’t comment on that. Location is perfect for beach and north shore access.

We had to clean (vacuum and dust) our condo after finding it in anything but a clean condition. Contacted the remax rental office and notified them, included pictures and little was done. The views are great and to echo few others reviews the top bred room is warm. Overall an ok stay. Wish the remax office would have been somewhat responsive to our complaint, not to mention you pay a cleaning fee.

Basic condo with about all that you need. Heck, if you are doing what your supposed to be doing in Kauai, you won't be spending much time at your condo anyway. What is really terrific about this place, is the location - overlooking the water and hearing the surf. The views are out of this world! 10 minute drive to Hanalei. 5 minutes to the market. I have stayed at Pali Ke Kua #204 many times in the past. You just can't beat the beautiful view from the Lanai, and the location is great - right in Princeville and close to Hanalei. The beach below the unit offers great snorkeling. The only thing keeping me from being completely satisfied is the condition of the sliding screen doors on the Lanai. The ocean breeze and view make you want to keep the glass doors open, but the screens don't slide. In fact, this trip my daughter accidentally pulled one of the screens off the track, causing the door to fall on her. This could have injured her or caused more damage. I have mentioned this issue before, yet it has not been addressed. If it wasn't for the view, the door issue would force me to look somewhere else. Please FIX IT!

The unit was nice enough but was not stocked very well in the kitchen. For example only 4 coffee cups that were small more like a tea cup. There was very limited amount of towels. The screens did not fit well so there were openings here and there for bugs to come in. We even had lizards get in. The unit was nice enough and the view is awesome.

We have stayed on Kauai in 2013-2014 for 3 months. Wanted a location with a view of Hanalei Bay and Makana (Bali Hai), we found it! Unit 204 is located in Pali Ke Kua's first building, but not too close to Ka Haku Rd to hear traffic and roosters. The unit is spacious, and well maintained. All appliances are modern and work well. the furniture is circa 1990's and adequate. Master bedroom on 3rd floor is away from any neighbor units. Pali Ke Kua has a private entrance to beach area and Hideaway Pizza Pub, (full restaurant and bar). location is perfect for walks/views and access to Princeville Center. Whether you're a return visitor or first time to Kauai's north shore, Unit 204 is very desirable. Mahalo!

Attractive 2 bedroom condo partially overlooking Hanalei Bay with westerly views toward "Bali Hai". Quiet with well equipped kitchen. No airconditioning- not a problem but I suspect very hot in the summer. Ceiling fans in living room and over dining area are worn out. Need immediate replacement- we would not accept this property again without new fans. For example, the fan over the dining area could not be turned off and could not be adjusted. Living room fan has broken blade that causes wobbling and it could only be adjusted fully on or off. One electrical outlet in the living room simply does not work. Loose wire? Fire hazard? What about maintenance elsewhere in this condo. Needs refreshment.

This condo has an absolutely killer view of the ocean and sunset from the lanai, couch and kitchen. Well equipped kitchen, some beach supplies, and everything was very clean. Our one complaint is that it has no air conditioning. We were there the last week of August/first week of September. When we arrived, all the windows had been closed and fans turned off, and it was easily 95-100 degrees inside. That was a rude awakening. The bedroom always stayed nice and cool, but the entire week, even with the windows open and fans on, it was still very uncomfortable in the living room and kitchen between about 1:00 and 7:00. We figured out pretty quickly that we had to close all drapes and shades on the west side and had to leave the condo during those hours, coming back in time to see the sunset. Other than that, we enjoyed the condo. There were only 2 of us, so we didn't use the upstairs bedroom or bath, but noticed they were even bigger and more nicely furnished than downstairs. We would be glad to come back to this unit in another season but would not recommend it in the hottest part of summer.

A solid 4 Star 'fairly updated' rental with a few minor maintenance issues. 2 burnt out lights in the upstairs bathroom and 1 in the upstairs hallway made the upper floor dark at night. Especially the bathroom which is large and galley like. There were also a colony of red ants living in the stove, so keep your food well you should do anyways in the tropics. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

We've stayed at Pali Ke Kua before so knew what to expect in general about this property. The pluses are it's a great location (walkable to St Regis for drinks or breakfast, the beach), has a beach of its own, great views, ample parking, pizza place on site, pool. The minus about this particular unit (204) is that it's outdated - thought the couches were clean but smelled a but musty (understandable in this climate but nevertheless a bit off putting). I don't mind not having AC but the screens weren't on tight so we got bugs - so much so that my 3 and 6 year old kids refer to this place matter of factly as the "bug hotel"! So I guess in summary I would choose this property again but select a different unit.

Ocean front view with gorgeous sunsets in the living room, kitchen and on the private balcony - it was rally amazing with cup of morning coffee or a glass of beer in the evening. Very nice and clean fully equipped condo. If I need to choose again where to stay on Kauai - this would be my #1 place to go and stay, indeed. One more thing - staff is very friendly and responsive, including a weekend!

The unit has a beautiful view and is high on the cliff. Watch the whales from the lanai and enjoy the sunsets over the mountain. The kitchen is equipped well as it even had some spices in the cupboard. The location is good and the grocery not far..just outside the Princeville entrance. The downstairs bedroom has two twins and the upstairs bedroom has the king. If you want the king make sure stairs are fine, otherwise be happy with a twin. Other units have had the king on the main floor. The weather was cool at night so we never felt the need for AC (that isn't available here). The location is good to explore the northshore as we have only had a day trip here on previous visits. The chance to spend several night in Princeville was great and allowed to see more of this part of the island. We liked the management company and would look at their properties for next year if this one isn't available. There is a private trail down to the beach. The hot tub is hot and the pool is small but enjoyable. We would choose this unit again.

With Hanalei Bay Resort under remodel the beach is empty, snorkeled and saw turtles. Nice paved stairs, easier trail then for Hideaway Beach. Only complaint is lack of furniture on the deck. Only 2 chairs for the table and 1 deck chair. Also view is blocked partially by palm tree which is not shown in the old picture

The rental unit was extremely in bad repair. There were wear stains in the bathtubs. The down stairs bathtub had rust along its bottom border as well as cockroaches in the bathroom. The master bedroom had a large 3 inch spider(s) who called it home. We discovered this after the fourth night; we then moved to the downstairs bedroom. The refrigerator had rust on the exterior, the handle on the oven door came off, which we then repaired. The couch sagged. The view from the balcony was not as shown in the pictures, there was a large overgrown shrub/tree blocking part of the view. While it was still a nice view, it was not as portrayed in the pictures. I had emailed the management company prior to our arrival about the view and the shrub/tree, but nothing was done about it. We have stayed at the Pali Ke Kua complex in the past and have enjoyed it, but this unit 204 was/is not up to par.

The view from the balcony was not as shown in the pictures, there was a large overgrown shrub/tree blocking part of the view. While it was still a nice view, it was not as portrayed in the pictures. I had emailed the management company prior to our arrival about the view and the shrub/tree, but nothing was done about it. We have stayed at the Pali Ke Kua complex in the past and have enjoyed it, but this unit 204 was/is not up to par.

We actually had booked a smaller unit elsewhere but the owner contacted us to inform us that we may be down on power for a small period of time due to some minor construction. Even though the disruption was planned to be minimal, we truly appreciated their honesty, transparency and planning because they had this unit (a great upgrade) free of charge, available should we have issues. Not wanting to relocate during our stay, I asked if we could upgrade (and pay for it) instead of waiting out a potential issue. Both the owner and his staff worked with me on a weekend AND after hours to get us set up, confirmed and with entrance instructions about 24 hours before checkin. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Also, the place was very clean and well equipped! Amazing views!!! I wish we could have stayed longer!!

Let me start by saying that the views were magnificent and the sunsets to die for!
We had an absolutely great time! Although a little old, the owner has done a fine job maintaining this property. The house was spotless and the kitchen had everything you’ll need. The house was also well stocked with beach gear like beach mats, snorkeling gear. The house is close to the beach, grocery store, restaurants a small community park. We just had the best time. I would highly recommend this property to anybody who can find an availability here. Princeville is the place to be in Kauai!

The condo has beautiful views from balcony and is located in a very nice neighborhood. The condo does get pretty hot during the day and with no air conditioner it can be unpleasant. We had issues with the ceiling fan not working in the living room and the rooms do have small fans in the bedroom which are nice at night. The sliding glass door to the balcony lock was broken and we called and asked to have it fixed but it was never fixed during our stay. We also had to weight 3days with multiple calls to get a key to access the pool. After we got home we received an email from the owner that we may have an extra professional carpet cleaning fee added to our bill for getting the stairs dirty. The carpet is a white/tannish color and already had wear and stains before we arrived.

This property is well equipped to provide a great vacation, and has a terrific view. I love the beach path, and the beach. I have two quibbles -- tub showers could use an update, as they are pretty slippery. Fan in living room is low power, and probably needs replacing, since it gets hot in the afternoon, with a listless fan that doesn't help much.
