We always go to Maui and stay at the same condo, which is the best on the island in my opinion. So I was nervous trying Kauai and not knowing what type of place we'd get. Turns out we struck gold on the first try. This is a great location and prices are reasonable. Two minor complaints: 1) beach access is relatively far away (our Maui location is literally on the beach, so hard to compete); and 2) it is TERRIBLY inconvenient to have us return the keys to the rental office as opposed to just leaving in the unit--when you're trying to rush out and catch a flight home, you're not wanting to run errands beforehand. Regardless, we'd return here.

We saw beautiful sunsets right from our balcony. Although the condo was older, the views were well worth it. It is not air conditioned, but the cross-breeze kept the place comfortable, and we enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds chirping.

We have rented Pali Ke Kua #214 from KVR three times now. We have also stayed in 2 other Pali Ke Kua units operated by KVR that face the ocean here, but this one has the best view. There is no A/C, but being from Florida, we find Hawaii to be much cooler anyway, sometimes even cold, but those from northern climes may have trouble with the temps, especially in summer. The beach access walkway has absolutely stunning views and the few people you come across down there on the beach make it somewhat surreal considering the normally crowded beaches elsewhere on the island. We will definitely be back.

We have been staying a month for the last few years and this was the first year we would have another month. We had rain lots of sun lots of geckos to greet us daily. We just hung out on the lanai most days and read and napped. Wonderful stress release!

Stunning place, but needs a deep cleaning. All of the kitchen handles were sticky and the toilet at the base had urine on it... Also it would be nice if they left more of the abandoned food including spices, cooking oil, sugar etc, stuff that does not go bad...

Unit 214 was a great unit for my family. The view is straight on beautiful ocean and Bali Hai view. Condo was nicely furnished. All appliances and fans were working. The only improvement would be figuring out how to put air conditioning in there. It was very hot especially upstairs even at night during Oct.

We have been coming to Pali Ke Kua for many years, but this was our first stay in this unit. Everything was perfect. The views are spectacular, the condo is beautifully and comfortably furnished. Even the beds were wonderful! The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, there are coolers, beach chairs, and an umbrella. The condo was spotlessly clean. We can’t wait to plan our next trip.

Our 7 day Kauai vacation was wonderful. Our arrival and picking up our information from your office was the easiest ever experienced. Being after hours and so close to airport was our first plus. We arrived at our condo was more than pleased with location (view was exactly as pictures showed) and the newness and updated condo was perfect. We had everything and more supplied to us in the condo (Thank you for the bag and cooler full of goodies). This unit comes with stunning views - we had to make it back each night to catch the sunset from our balcony porch. Direct sun made late afternoons warm this May/June week, but strategic use of the two moveable fans kept things comfortable. Bed was very comfortable (only used the downstairs one). Ice maker was great, all the cooking supplies we needed except salt and pepper. Snorkeled every day at the convenient beach below. Used the jacuzzi once, nice way to end the day. We would return.

We had 5 wonderful days at this property. The pictures don’t do the views justice! The unit itself was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms amazing, decor updated and the washer-dryer a plus. We were also pleased to find beach chairs and boogie boards! We never had to contact the rental company because everything worked perfectly! And they approved early check-in (we were coming from Poipu so already on the island) so that was nice! The only down-side was the master bedroom upstairs got a little warm in the late afternoon, but there are ceiling and portable fans to use. To note: there is not much in the way of coffee/food/drink within walking distance (mostly rental properties/condos surround the property) but Princeville shopping center is about a mile away (this is where we did grocery and gift shopping) and Hanalei is close. If you have a rental car, shouldn’t be a problem. We ate at the pizza place on the property and would say it’s just ok. We wouldn’t eat there again but the bartender did make a nice mai-tai and pina colada! We’d return for those. :)Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we’ll be back!

The condominium was perfect. The ubication and quality of the place was great. The only negative thing could be the hot in the top floor because the fan wasn’t enough to cooler the 2nd bedroom upstairs. But I would return without hesitation because the place and the views make up for it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this condo on the bluffs of Princeville! The view from the lanai is outstanding and we saw many a colorful sunset over the Na Pali coastal mountains.The condo is very comfortable with a large sectional, well equipped kitchen and updated bathrooms. Furnishings are tasteful and simple. The location is very good, with many beaches within a short car drive and the local Foodland market close by as well. This was especially convenient as it's difficult to make restaurant reservations right now and the market has a good deli, so we often relied on it.The weather was great while we were there, which was an added bonus! All in all, really enjoyed having this as our home base while we explored the North shore.

This unit was just as described. Spectacular view did not disappoint and we spent lots of time on the balcony soaking it in. The grounds are gorgeous and Hideaways Pizza was super convenient our first night. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were surprisingly very comfy. I usually have a hard time sleeping without my own pillow but not here. Kitchen was adequate enough for our needs but we didn’t cook any meals. The unit was spacious and plenty of room for 2 adult couples. It was a bit stuffy and humid without air conditioning, especially upstairs, but having the windows open and the fans going made it tolerable on the hotter nights. With the windows open, you do hear neighbors coming and going during late and early hours. It was very pleasant and soothing waking up to the real sounds of “birds in a rainforest”. The location was convenient to our activities in the north. Checking in and out was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Princeville.

My husband and I cleaned the condo when we got there and left it cleaner when we left then what it was when we came. I’m sorry to say this negative comment because we have always had a condo that for the most part was very clean. We were in the condo a month. We will be coming back to Pali Ki Kua because we love the lanai, view, and quietness. We have been extremely happy with Kauai Vacation Rental through the years.

Excellent! Enjoyed the whole week of our stay at Pali Kw Kua.
The location is perfect and the view is amazing. The condo is so comfortable. It is well stocked and decorated really nice. We felt at home immediately. It was only my husband and myself, but had visitors so it was so nice to entertain for a group of 6. We Can not wait to go back next time with our son and his family because the condo has plenty of space for both his family of 3 and us.

Our recent stay at Pali Ke Kia 214 was simply outstanding! The unit was extremely well equipped and the staff from Kauai Vacation Rental were so helpful and flexible. The view of Hanelei Bay from the unit was breathtaking and mesmerizing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already making plans to return in the near future.

This was our third rental experience with Kauai Vacation Rentals and it went by as smoothly as the first two. Their communication via their handy iOS app made everything simpler. Overall it was another great experience. The views from Pali Ke Kua 214 are unparalleled for the price you pay, which makes it an extreme value for us. We will be returning in the future. BTW, if you are so unlucky as to not get an early morning rain shower while staying here, you will miss one of the greatest sights: a rainbow.
