This was a great place for our family of 5. Steve was very helpful with any questions we had and the place was well stocked with everything you would need. We were able to enjoy many of the nearby beaches and hiked Kalalau Trail. It was a bit of a jaunt to Poipu and the canyons but we really enjoyed staying this side of the island. Clean, well stocked, and well managed by Steve (he responded super quickly when I messaged him saying that I accidentally locked us out of the condo!) Beautiful views. The condo does not have central A/C but rather air conditioning units that sit on the floor in each room, which I thought was better because we really only needed to cool the room we were using. The master shower was spacious and had a detachable shower head. Was really nice to have a washer drier as well. Would definitely stay again!

Steve was great with the communication from the moment we booked all the way through the day we checked out. The condo has an amazing view and a great location for activities on the North Shore as well as just an hour drive at most to anywhere on the island that we needed to go. The condo was clean and had all of the supplies we needed during our stay. It was private and quiet throughout our entire 7-night stay. I would definitely stay here again the next time we are on the island. Highly recommend!

We loved this rental and would happily stay again. Gorgeous views, private (it’s an end unit), close proximity to Hanalei. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived with some sweet welcome gifts. As other reviewers have said, the AC unit works best in the downstairs bedroom, which was great for sleeping. We ended up not using the AC unit in the main portion of the home and instead relied on open windows / cross ventilation, which was fine for us, but may not work for others in August. The lock box also didn’t work, so when we arrived the keys were in the lock box but it wasn’t locked. That caused no issue for us, but I felt bad leaving them that way! Overall very grateful for a wonderful stay, we hope to be back.

The condo had 2 beds and 2 sofabeds, enough to sleep 7. It was just enough so our 3 older kids could have their own bed. Everything was clean, other than some dead bugs in the corners of some rooms, which is to be expected on a tropical island. The view through the eat-in area was great. Steve was very quick to answer all of our questions prior to our stay so there were no surprises. There was a bunch of old snorkel gear so had to go through the equipment that actually worked as previous renters probably left their old stuff. At night the AC in the master bedroom was plenty cold, but not really strong enough in the other rooms to be cold, but comfortable. I would recommend this condo if staying in Princeville!

Steve was a very communicative host from the time we made the reservation to checking in to make sure we were happy after we arrived. The condo was very well stocked in the kitchen, with beach gear, and furniture to make for a comfortable stay. Although there are 3 free standing air conditioners and overhead and floor fans in each room, the condo was over 90 degrees when we checked in and it took hours to cool the unit down to a habitable temperature. It was a challenge to keep the unit cool enough for our comfort level. But all and all it was a wonderful stay.

Our family of 4 just had one of our best vacations at Steve’s condo in Princeville. Condo was roomy and very comfortable and the views from the lanai are unbelievable! We didn’t want to leave! Steve was very responsive and provided great recommendations for restaurants, beaches, etc. Easy access to Hideaways, Hanalei, and awesome restaurants. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

Super Place!! This is our 3rd visit to Pali Ke Kua and this condo is our favorite. You feel just a little exclusive at the end of the complex with views of the ocean. Thank you Steve for supplying all the beach toys and recommendations. We weren't hiking Na Pali Coast so we did the boat tour - fantastic. Spinner Dolphins, turtles and even a monk seal.

A perfect vacation. We love the area and the condo was great! Easy checking in and out. Steve has it set up so you have a number of daily items at your fingertips. I would bring some spices if you plan to cook and whatever oils you may need, but Steve has plenty of cookware, knives, bowls, dishes, silverware and glassware. The condo is well equipped, not just in the kitchen but for the beach as well. The one thing I would say is every person should bring is set of hiking poles if you plan to hike. Other than that be thankful we have places like this left on the planet to visit. Thank you Steve for sharing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. We enjoyed the balcony every morning with a wonderful view and the condo had everything we needed. We found ourselves saying "nice job, Steve" often as we discovered all the items in the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Love the Princeville location and would definitely come back again! We just returned from a wonderful stay at this stunning property. Everything about the condo is top notch and is wonderfully outfitted with numerous kitchen and bathroom items. My husband as well as my adult son and his fiance enjoyed morning coffee every day on the deck and definitely will return at some point. You won't go wrong choosing this location. My one piece of advise would be to be very careful accessing the Hideaway beach location. I would suggest taking ONLY towels and nothing else as the trek down to the beach is treacherous in parts. (perhaps my age didn't help but my 30 year old son also commented that very dangerous if you are carrying anything in your hands!) Beautiful once you get down there though :)

Family vacation comfortably included space for three adults and two kiddos (ages 8 and 6). Great, quiet spot. Amazing view. The unit also included lots of beach stuff, from boogie boards to snorkeling gear, chairs to umbrellas. This was by far the most well outfitted rental we have ever stayed at. They have everything you need and what a view! Whales everyday, rainbows everywhere and Nenes all over. (By the way, DON'T feed them as is illegal and unhealthy for the Nene). The best snorkelling was right at Hideaway Beach. Saw turtles and crystal clear water on calm day. Steve was very responsive to anything that we needed. A dream vacation beyond compare.

This was a very comfortable condo to enjoy all sides of the north shore of Kauai. It was the most well equipped kitchen in a rental we have ever had the pleasure of using. It made staying in easy. Lots of beach supplies and the binoculars came in handy for whale watching. The condo complex is conveniently located for long walks and close to the golf course. The owners have been very thoughtful in equipping the condo for short or longer term stays. It was a great winter escape for us.

This is a great little condo, in the most amazing location, with everything you need for a beach day. Seriously, don't rent any equipment at all, until you see what's available in the upstairs closet. On the best beach day we had during our weeklong stay (there was a lot of wind and high surf the other days, but it was December, so we expected that), we packed up the foldable beach cart with chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel gear, threw it all in the car, and went to Hanalei Bay. We had everything we needed to be completely comfortable all day long, and no schlepping multiple trips to the car. The condo itself is a little smaller than what the photos lead you to believe (wide-angle lenses are clever), and our family of four adult-size people was a bit crowded, but the photos absolutely do not do justice to the fabulous ocean view. If you are a birder, this is paradise with the variety of birds that just show up on the lawn and the little tree near the lanai. At least twenty nenes every day, cardinals, mynas, white-eyed juncos, etc. As for other amenities in the condo: the kitchen is well-stocked, the beds were comfy, it was easy to sign in to the smart TV with our own streaming accounts, and there were plenty of supplies. (I saw a couple of other reviews concerned with the "starter" level of TP, soap, etc, but we had more than enough.) Happy guests!

This space with the main bedroom downstairs and the loft upstairs was perfect for our family of four. The air-conditioning both upstairs and down was nice to have after a day playing in the jungle and sun. Foodland was close for snacks and a couple meals. The view of the water from the lanai was beautiful and a quick walk outside to see the cove below and Hanalei was spectacular. Princeville was a drive from our activities but worth the peacefulness and beauty upon returning for the evening. Hidden Pizza three hundred feet away is a must.

Steve's home is spectacular! The ocean view is stunning and I spent as much as possible relaxing on the lanai having coffee and just admiring the ocean view. The house is superbly equipped with everything you might need and things you had forgotten. It is beautifully decorated and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again. The location is amazing and the landscaping is gorgeous. Steve is an extraordinary and welcoming host. I have never had a more beautiful vacation and that is thanks to Steve's stunning property! The pool was peaceful and beautiful and the walk down to the beach ( even with a broken toe the night before we left) was lovely! Thank you Steve for making this adventure possible. The condo was fantastic! Cozy and comfortable from the time you walk in the door. Beds very comfortable and pull out love-seat bed comfortable too (ownership has a thick foam mattress to put on top making it extra cushy!). Lots of beach amenities available (masks, snorkels, fins, chairs, umbrellas, cooler, boogie boards) for use including a beach cart which was a total blessing! Ownership super helpful with great advice on activities, beaches, and, restaurants (even helped before arrival!!). Access to unit extremely easy and location excellent! We definitely would stay here again!

Steve was very helpful and responsive in managing the property! We had an A/C issue when checking in due to a power surge that had happened the night before and Steve quickly had maintenance fix the problem. Steve also had lots of other great hiking and restaurant recommendations around the island. The condo was just as promised and the two bedroom spaces were perfect for our family of 4. Beautiful oceanfront location and Princeville is a gorgeous resort area to stay in close proximity to Hanalei.

Very well appointed and clean condo. Being on the 2nd floor affords fantastic views and the opportunity to enjoy gorgeous sunsets from the balcony or dining table. The grounds are well maintained even if the complex is showing its age a bit. Nevertheless the inside of the unit did not disappoint and was as advertised. Steve was an excellent communicator before, during and immediately after our stay and his detailed activities and restaurant write up (be sure to ask for it) was incredibly helpful for first time visitors to the island. Overall an excellent experience.

It is well furnished, and in a quiet, upscale area. Very clean and well kept. The owner provided lot of useful information and responded immediately when needed.
The apartment is stocked with gear needed for a beach outing - umbrellas, hairs, boogie boards etc.
About the only thing that we missed is that it is not beach front - something we knew before we stayed there.
It is also located in the North and quite a drive to the Airport, Poi Pu and Waimea Canyon, but there are some really nice places around North and East that are close by.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This condo was even better in person. We had beautiful sunset views! We loved the location and ability to walk to Hideaway Beach and Queen's bath from our place. This place has everything a family(ours was 5) would need for a comfortable day at the beach! We used the chairs, snorkels, umbrellas, large cooler, boogie boards, and beach wagon almost daily. We also loved the close proximity to Hideaways Pizza place-right across the parking lot! Steve was responsive and helpful to all our needs. We will definitely come back and stay here again!

We loved the location's accessibility to amazing snorkeling off a close (walk to) beach and of course, to all Norh shore's outdoor activities! Plus Steve went out of his way to provide us with top quality directions, beach equipment, activity and restaurant information. He was accessible quickly through texts and phone calls when any questions arose.
The accommodation was outstanding with absolutely zero complaints..

Everything was excellent from the start. Communication was smooth, easy, and always prompt. Made asking questions and receiving recommendations a breeze.
As for the unit itself. It is absolutely as described and more. The pictures still can’t capture the beauty of the view. Being able to enjoy meals while looking out to the ocean was priceless. We even saw a few whales each morning.
The condo is well furnished, cozy, and inviting. I would recommend staying here to everyone and I know we will be back for sure.
The location is great to enjoy the quieter side of the island and Hanalei is only a 10min drive with plenty of shops and places to eat.

We had a great vacation in Kauai and loved the condo we stayed at. Nearly every morning we watched humpback whales from our balcony while having coffee. The location had a great view of the ocean and was close to a number of great beaches for snorkeling and swimming. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen and baths all appeared recently updated and were clean. Owner supplied beach and snorkel gear as well as great suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area. They even checked in via phone after we arrived to see if needed anything or had any questions. We plan to stay there again.

This property is absolutley beautiful and our family of five was extremely comfortable in this ocean front condo with plenty of room for all. We were here for 10 days and the condo had everything you needed for cooking meals (pots, pans, oils, spices, etc) to going to the beach (boogie boards, chairs, coolers, towels, snorkel gear, etc) and it made our stay so easy and comfortable. Our family had our meals either on the outside deck with a very nice high table top so you can look down at the crashing waves or inside at the dinning room table with the same fantastic views! A few times we had long days at the private beach down below the condo (Hideaways) and we decided to skip making dinner and eat at the restaurant on the property which was absolutely perfect as it was a 3 minute walk and the food was to die for!! I would highly recommend this property, we come to Kauai every year and this is the best place we've ever had, mahalo for sharing it with our family. See you next year!!!
