Could ask for a better place to stay . Took many walk down at the beach perfect relaxation and getting in touch with nature. Great place to stay if you want to stay next to the water.

This cute little studio condo is literally 50 ft from a little fairly private beach and the ocean. The views are spectacular from the lanai. The condo has everything that you will need for a comfortable stay. It is easy walking distance from several restaurants and a fun shopping center with eateries, shops and a market. Also, it easy driving from this location to Kauai's other attractions.

Nice complex with well kept grounds and old Hawaii charm. The full kitchen is a definite plus. The bed was comfortable. The location on what I've always fondly called "Little Beach" is perfect and spectacular.
Unfortunately, management is lacking. There is no local person to call if assistance is needed. I agree with others that Vacasa is NOT a desirable vacation rental management and owners must avoid them to maintain healthy reviews and happy guests.
They instruct guests here at Kapaa Sands to check in at the office and get a parking pass, but there is no office or any onsite management. Requests for late check in or out are pretty much ignored. And the cleaning needs to be improved.
We had an incident with a cane spider and had to take the whole bed apart and turn it upside down to get him out. It is filthy under there. There are dead bugs in the kitchen drawers but thats kind of normal here. I wash everything before we use it, but must report that I found that the dishes and cookware, for the most part, were not washed properly. The shower tiles are moldy but thankfully I found some bleach to spray in there.
Its a long review, just to let future guests know what to expect. I do like this place and really enjoyed my stay, but if I was the owner, I would be sure these things were clear to guests and/or taken care of. Folks spend a lot to come here, and we deserve cleanliness and kind attention to detail.

Kapaa Sands is beautifully located on the ocean in Kapaa. The units allow you to enjoy watching the waves come in and admire the surfers performing their tricks. The landscaping is well maintained also.

Kauai exceeded our expectations and we LOVED our stay at our unit in the Islander Resort. We had amazing views, a perfect lanai to enjoy and an excellent pool to enjoy. We spent many evenings at the resort soaking everything in. The coconut coast is central to everywhere you need to go on Kauai and we can’t wait to come back soon. Thank you so much for the highlight of our Anniversary trip to Hawaii!

This is a great place to stay. It is right on the water. Each morning we enjoyed a beautiful sunrise while listening to the waves out on the lanai. The property is tucked away behind lush tropical plants and trees. Inside the unit, everything was clean and bright, and the kitchen was fully stocked. What was also nice was that we were able to rent kayaks as there is a rental shop right on the property. It is run by Charlie who is also the property manager. He gave us great tips on where to kayak and hike. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. There is an Island Country Market there where you can get great deli food, gourmet coffee, and even gifts. It was a nice find. This part of the island feels like you have stepped back in time to a calmer, quieter way of life. If you are looking for a place with beautiful views, peaceful days, and kind, attentive people, this is it!

Beach access with amazing sun rises- I even saw whales and dolphins on the horizon. Close to a wonderful beachside bar and restaurant. Walking distance to groceries, gifts and vacation activities rentals like kayaks, SUP boards and bikes. There`s an amazing vegan restaurant across the street called Russel`s- I highly recommend them. Lots of hiking near by. There is a little bit of traffic at times and at the moment there`s construction by the crosswalks, so that`s something to be aware of.

Studio was just as described. We LOVED it!!. Right on the water. Good location on the island to explore all directions. You can walk to a market and a fabulous water front restaurant, Lava Lava. Very nice young dudes in the front rented us a kayak and tied it on our car so we could make the trip up river to the water falls. Great golf 10 minutes away.

It was a pleasure dealing with Hula Now and staying at number 14 whichwas so well appointed. The view was beautiful , the inside decor was elegant and we also appreciated the beach chairs provided and the very comfortable patio furniture

I had a great time here. I`ve stayed in the area before, this time was excellent again. The unit opens right out to the water, very peaceful. I also liked that you use a key code, so no keys to worry about. The unit is small but had everything you need. They had beach towels and some beach gear for use also. I would definitely stay here again. If I had to nitpick one issue, I wish they had a few more cooking utensils and condiments for when you make your own food at the condo. Totally minor issue though.

We really loved our stay at Kapaa Sands 14. You`re right on the ocean--just walk out your back patio and down a few steps to put your toes in the water! PROS: Great views, the relaxing sound of the surf pounding all night long, clean unit, private oasis tucked away from the crowds. CONS: Because there`s no A/C, you leave your windows open all of the time (which felt great), but you can also hear your neighbors around you fairly well; not a great swimming beach, but fun to wade around, fish and watch the surfers.

The property is an excellent value. We had a view of the pool and beyond that the ocean. The property was quiet except for the roosters which we didn't mind. The TV wasn't working and even though we called twice and was told it would be taken care of, it never was. But even that didn't bother us too much. WE were too busy exploring the island or sitting on our deck enjoying the view. Mahalo!

Pleasantly surprised by the room. Bed was very comfortable, fast internet and lots of additional amenities such as snorkel gear, beach chairs and boogie boards. Location was ideal for getting anywhere on the island and was close to a shopping center with a market and restaurants.

The room was just like the pictures showed.The room was nice and had a lot of useful things in the kitchen. The silverware and cooking utensils were located in two drawers under the sink area, I don’t know that I would have found them if someone haven’t told me.The bed was very comfortable, The view from the lanai was beautiful. The barbecues around the pool worked wonderfully, you just had to know that the gas valves were in the bushes where you couldn’t see them.The coconut market had lots of wonderful restaurants in the shops and was just a short walk from the condo. We enjoyed the Thai restaurant most of all. Looking forward to going down next year and hoping to get that same unit.

You can find nicer resorts on Kauai, but this rental is great "bang for the buck," especially when exploring the island all day. The property is mid-way between the north and south coasts, making it convenient to all locations. Plenty of restaurants and shops within either walking or short driving distance. A nearby Safeway sells fresh fish which you can cook yourself on one of the resort's pool-side natural gas grills. Be sure to have a "white-noise" app on your phone to help drown out rooster crowing early each morning. I highly recommend purchasing the Shaka Guide Kaui app ($30 for four distinct island self-guided tours). It's well worth the cost for great guidance and information around Kauai. The property comes with 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, and snorkel equipment so that you can trek to any of the many beaches on the island. Having a lanai with table and chairs along with an ocean view was really nice. The room's small refrigerator, microwave, and toaster came in handy. All-in-all, it's a great place at a great price for a Kauai vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect for all your day trips, and close to the river! We loved the marketplace, good eats and drinks, abc store, and shops. Bonus, there is a coffee shop right out the front door with yummy flavors and treats. The condo was clean and had wonderful views. The beach gear came in handy! My fiancé and I were there for 6 days and we could not use the laundry facility which was a bummer. They said we were not part of the “hotel”. Also for a long stay like ours....providing extra garbage bags and paper towels would have of been nice. Bed needs new pillows and the floor needs rugs;) other than that, it was perfect for a couple!

We have stayed at The Islander on The Beach many times and always love it. The views are wonderful, it is centrally located on Kauai, and you can hear the waves from the lani. Loved the beach equipment provided to enjoy our trips around the island. Kauai is an amazing place to visit and the islander makes it affordable with water views.

Everything was beautiful, and the views were amazing; the unit itself was very clean. The only problem I had, but it's my fault, I should've asked about the shower. I'm 74 and have Parkinson's, my balance isn't good. I should've asked if it was a handicap shower, with rails. I also think it would be a good idea to put something down, in the tub, whereby someone wouldn't slip and fall; I found the tub floor to be slippery, so I was very nervous in the shower.
Fortunately, I didn't have too much of a problem climbing the stairs, as they weren't straight up. I didn't realize, until later in the booking, that there wasn't an elevator. If I were in better health, we would DEFINITELY stay there again.

We liked the closeness to the airport for the early morning flight home and quickness to the beach after traveling all day to get there. We used the included beach chairs. Closeness to coconut marketplace was handy. Central location driving around both sides of the island. Did not find sheets for the sofa sleeper. Good thing we didn't need them. Would stay again...probably not with kids though. Other resorts may have better pools/water slides.

We really enjoyed our stay! The room was nice and spacious and even had a cooler so we could bring drinks down to the beach (which the view of it from the lanai is awesome). AC works great and I actually found the bed comfortable. It was really convenient to walk to Coconut Marketplace (just 5min or less) for groceries and peruse shops. The workers at the stay were very nice and helpful as well. Def recommend!
