We enjoyed the condo tremendously. Lena provided a binder with helpful hints and maps and things to do. From the living room to bathroom to bedroom to kitchen, it had all we needed and more than we could have asked for. The pictures do not do it justice. The views we had were amazing!! We watched the sun come up every morning from the patio, and sat outside a lot to listen to the water, and it takes less than 1 minute to be at the edge of the water.
We will absolutely stay here again. Mahalo!

The condo at Pono Kai is exactly what we needed for a trip to Kauai. The location in Kapa’a is central to everything on the island. The condo is well appointed, clean and comfortable. We were greeted with a lovely note from the owners. The complex is great - a pool, hot tub and all the amenities you could want. Walking distance to most things you would need. 20 minutes from the Lihue airport.
I highly recommend staying here and plan to stay here again. The view of the ocean is worth he price of admission.

This was an immaculate high end stay for us, beautifully furnished with a fully equipped kitchen (even including minutiae like covered casserole dishes and a nutri-bullet) We cooked most meals here and used the boogie boards, snorkeling gear, sand chairs and the new Schwin bikes. The patio on the ground floor (JUST like the picture showed!) is mere yards from the bike path and overlooks the eastern morning sunrise. Convenient parking. LOVED this beautiful Condo!!! And our hostess Lena was great/responsive. Thanks Lena!!

Location is key! Centrally located between north and south Kauai. Beautiful ocean views from the room, nearly private beach with all amenities provided. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay on Kauai.

This condo was perfect! The view is a sunrise view but I never tire of hearing and seeing the ocean. Location was within walking distance to shopping, food and drinks. The unit has been remodeled with very classy and comfortable vibe. This unit is truly a home away from home. The resort has so many free activities available. The unit has two bike to use, which we did on the paved path in front of the resort. I have nothing negative to say about my stay in this unit. Sandy

The condo was very clean and bright. The location is as close to the ocean as possible. View from the lanai was great. The sound of the ocean was very soothing. There were good quality cooking equipment and supplies. There were two bicycles available, but we did not ride.
We will stay again when we return to kauai.

We had a great stay again at the Pono Kai, this time on a first floor unit with direct access to grassy front yard overlooking the bike path and beautiful ocean view. It’s not fancy, but doesn’t need to be. Lots of activities if you want to be lazy around the resort but also perfectly situated right in Kapaa town and short distance to all the amazing beaches of Kaui.

We loved this condo! It has a fully equipped kitchen, and everything needed for an outing on the beach. The location is ideal to explore just about any part of the island without having to drive too long. The view from the lanai early in the morning is priceless! The resort is well kept and the staff friendly. We would 100% stay there again.

The place was right next to the ocean, ground floor with an amazing view! The place is fully stocked with everything you need with extra such as water shoes and extra backpack for hiking. It was super nice not having to worry about getting boogie boards or snorkel gear, beach chairs or beach umbrellas. They were all there and in good shape. The only thing I wish they had was an extra set of beach towels so one set could fully dry while we used another set for long stays. Other than that it has everything you need without having to pack an extra suitcase.

We spent five nights in this newly renovated unit in Pono Kia and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Lena, our host, was very accommodating and great with communicating the details. The central location on the island made it easy to get to any excursion we had planned. Plenty of food options nearby also. It is right on the eastern shore of Kauai in Kapa’a and just a few footsteps away from the beach and the 7.2 mile Kauai Multiuse Path that is awesome for biking, walking, or running. The Pono Kia resort, where the property is located, has amenities too numerous to list. The newly renovated condo was a real treat and had everything we needed. Cozy and comfortable…it really felt like home! Very clean. Beautiful kitchen, bathroom, living room and comfortable bedroom. The patio was great to watch the sunrises. One of the nicest rentals we’ve stayed in! I hope we can come back soon!
