Property was as described. The view off the lanai was amazing. Sunrises second to none! Excellent midway point for the whole island. We rented e-bikes just up the bike path twice to view our favorite coastline. Laundry on the first floor next to the elevator made it easy to carry our wash down. I was so happy to discover the beach out front is swimmable, not all resorts along the Kapaa area are but this one is. I highly recommend Pono Kai, nice, helpful staff, the grounds are well manicured and there are grills dotted around the property that are kept very clean. All and all a great experience. If I stay there again we will get a third floor apartment.

Lovely oceanfront condo. Well stocked, very clean.
But, no A/C in bedroom which is the only place that needs it! Otherwise, window must be kept open & people walk by & look right into the bedroom.
Unfortunately, walls are so thin we listened to stomping & running above us the whole time.

Aircondition works well for the living room, but the bedroom had only a fan - but it worked fairly well anyway. Perfect for a couple or a small family. Would stay there again another time.

We were happy with the condo - it was clean and had a great view. Kitchen had all equipment needed for cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo is spacious, clean, and well-stocked with all the essentials for a beach trip or pool visit. We loved listening to the waves through the screen doors and the easy beach access. Having beach chairs and a cooler was great! It’s very spacious for two people, making this the perfect spot for a longer vacation. One thing to note - if you plan on cooking any meals while here, there is not a full spice cabinet - we could only find salt, pepper, cinnamon, and olive oil.

The communication from the owners was great, the location is central to everything on Kauai and the unit is right on the beach with gorgeous views! Want to watch a beautiful sunrise? Open the door to your balcony and take a seat and be prepared to watch a magical art show. Want to walk along the beach, go ahead...you can walk in the sand, or use the sidewalk.
The unit was super clean and we LOVED the kitchen, which was well stocked. The bed was comfy and the sofa couch was not bad, just sleep with your head towards the bottom as there is a slight incline. The AC was a nice feature that we did use at times, but a fan was all that was needed most of the time. The bathroom is very spacious and nice with double sinks and a massive shower. The owners have provided a manual with some suggestions on things to do and places to eat.
Do not hesitate to rent this unit. I would again and hope to sometime in the future if I ever make it back to Kauai! Mahalo!

Some heavy rain caused significant noise from the downspouts by the bedroom, and caused another owner's upstairs window to leak down near our dining room window. We phoned the owner of our condo and he was eager to address the problem with the upstairs owner.
Good to have a coin operated washer & dryer in building.

We absolutely loved staying here and plan to come back. It was quiet and clean. The property grounds were well maintained with barbecue and picnic tables. The ocean was beautiful right off the balcony. The sun rose straight out in front of the unit. The kitchen is well equipped. Location was perfect, walk to everything. Can’t say enough good things about it.

The Condo complex is steps across the wide paved hiking/biking trail to the beach. Most guest amenities are included in the rental fee, including the gas grills around the buildings. The unit was beautifully decorated and spotless. Since we were moving there from another unit with the same owners, they graciously texted us the morning of the move to let us know, we could move in immediately. They were super nice and responsive to our questions.

The recently remodeled condo is spotlessly clean and modern. Restaurants, coffee shops, and gift stores are a few blocks away. Try Java Kai for a morning coffee as you watch the sun rise. A multi mile, paved, beachside walking path runs right past the condo. Kapaa is a nice central location from which to cover the entire island. We have no reservations about fully recommending this property to others.

This condo was perfect. Beautifully renovated and impeccably clean. The beach supplies came in very handy. The kitchen is fully stocked although we mainly used it for breakfast. The resort has a concierge that helped us book 2 amazing tours and provided snorkel equipment rental at a very reasonable rate - don’t use Snorkel Bobs (the equipment was actually better than Snorkel Bobs). Location of the property is perfect for getting around. It’s close to the airport , waterfalls, excursion meeting points and many great beaches. I would 100% stay here again !!!

This condo was perfectly suited to our needs. We found it's central location perfect no matter which coastal area we chose for our day trips. The condo itself was comfortable and very well equipped. Our host was readily available and checked in with us to make sure we had what we needed. It was hard to leave.

The condo was lovely. Stephanie was easy to contact. I love that the door opened with a code set just for us. We never had to worry about losing our key. The place is spacious and bright just like the photos. We had everything we needed.
The sunrises from the lanai were fabulous. I love that so many people gather along the beach to welcome in a new day. The bike and walking path were handy and gave us the ability to get exercise with an ocean view, walk to restaurants and shops, and people watch. While the resort looks big and crowded, it never felt that way. Everyone was friendly. We were incredibly lucky to have a Monk seal come up to the beach for a nap. We heard from many people this is not usual for Pono Kai area.

This property was amazing. After getting in super late, we opened the patio doors to find that the ocean was right there. Sure, the pictures show that is oceanfront, but I assumed it would be set back a significant ways. Nope, it’s literally right there.
The complete remodel of the condo looks so great, and they have everything you could need. Stephanie checked in with us from day 1 to make sure we were doing ok, and that we didn’t need anything else.
The check-in/check-out process was easy peasy. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Kauai.

We had an amazing time staying at this property. The moment we walked in we were impressed with this gorgeous unit. The decor was beautiful and the beds including the pullout couch were very comfortable. We loved the sunsets and views from the lanai. The first morning we were awoken by the roosters in the lawn. There is a path right in front of the unit that was convenient for strolls along the coast. The unit had everything we needed for our stay including beach towels, a small cooler and 2 beach chairs. We can’t wait to come back and stay here again!
