The ocean! You have an incredible set of snorkeling spots (gear in the closet) just past the pool. Take the path through the complex and you'll find a little beachfront which is a perfect place to step into the water and look for honu. The heart of downtown Kona is a one-mile walk or drive down Ali'i drive which is all oceanfront. There you'll find local hangouts like Huggo's, Humpy's, and Laverne's along with nationally known chains, such as Outback and Bubba Gump. For a more romantic night, Jackie Rey's Ohana grill is less than a mile away on Kuakini Highway and features local food and a good happy hour. If you need to get out on the water, you can get a charter a snorkel or fishing boat at the harbor about five and a half miles up the Queen K highway.
