Loved the push button entry! No keys to keep track of. Lovely bed, lots of pillows! Everything you need! Chairs, cooler, umbrella all here. Pool is wonderful( a zillion rules unfortunately posted) but very nice. Clean, great bbqs and area to eat by the ocean, lounges for sunset watching. 2 balconys!

Definitely recommend to stay here, it’s so close to all the shops and restaurants, has cute walking distance to Green Flash Coffee cafe, walking 2 minutes from our place, please check the ocean area you have in the back that’s surrounded by lava stones (absolutely beautiful!), our bed was like sleeping on a cloud, I enjoyed the balcony and the view. 10/10 stay! I could keep going on how much I enjoyed our place! Would recommend to family/friends, I appreciate that the property management checked on us to see how we were doing, and property description was exactly as described.

We loved this place! My wife said she would be content to just stay at the condo. Close to restaurants and shops in Kona, but far enough away to be quiet. The amenities were good, but I would recommend some basic condiments be supplied (ie the salt and pepper shakers were empty). The one complaint was the directions -- they said the turn was about 9 miles from the airport, but signs say 7 miles. This small error made us lost as we drove by the turn and couldn't find the street. We spent the previous 24 hrs in airports and on planes so we were exhausted and got lost. Our Iphone saved us and I would have used it first if I wasn't so tired. A map with the street names before the turn would be helpful.

This condo unit is a great place to relax and enjoy the best of Kona. Situated to get the best ocean views and awesome nightly sunsets, Kona Makai is an easy drive or walk along Ali'i Drive to the shops and restaurants of Kona. The unit has all the amenities required to make this an easy escape! Loved this condo and would highly recommend it.

We have rented in Kona Makai before. We just really love the layout of the property. The interior of some of the units is starting to deteriorate, for instance the ceiling in our shower was caving in due to previous water damage, but was relatively clean otherwise. The maintenance crew for the building exterior however is fantastic.
Our suite was poorly equipped for a rental so we ended up purchasing a lot of basic tools such as tongs and a spatula, but we left them when we left so hopefully this isn’t an issue for future guests.

Easy access, check in/out, and relaxing place to stay for the trip. Everything we needed and we like staying at the Kona Makai for location and some of their amenities. We were looking forward to the lounge chair (pictured in the property description) for relaxing and napping but it has been replaced with a rocking chair ;-) Overall, very clean, comfortable plus had items like coolers and boogie boars that we always need / use.

very easy check in. Great, well-kept complex with a beautiful terrace by the sea. Clean barbecue area right by the sea. The room is practically furnished with everything you need. On the balcony you could start the day in peace and let it end in the evening. We can recommend this accommodation.

This was such a nice place! Nice and quiet, has air conditioning, a pool, hot tub, and a GREAT ocean view!! I wish the pool was open later than 9pm (since there is no lifeguard anyway). Great views, close to all of the shops and restaurants. We will be staying here again when we come back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kona Makai. It's a quiet condo complex. The bed is memory foam style and really comfortable. The lanai and living room have lovely lighting. The space is very peaceful.

The grounds we beautiful and our place had a great view. But the inside of the condo didn’t look like it was cleaned very well the fans had a lot of dust collected on them, the shower head looked old and dirty, and the bed sheets and the blankets were old and had some stains on them.
