We loved this on-the-water condo. The highlight of our trip was our lanai breakfast/coffee in the mornings and sunset lanai suppers. The condo is beautifully furnished in high end, solid furniture with comfortable beds, linens and seating throughout. The shower in the master bedroom bath is spacious with plenty of light and hot water and lots of water pressure. There is a tub/shower combo in the main bath. The kitchen is completely equipped. We never lacked for anything. Lots of air conditioning and ceiling fans. Wonderfully comfortable stay. Beach supplies in the hall closet and outdoor storage space, including beach chairs, beach towels and toys. If you are standing in the kitchen looking out the front windows, all you can see is the ocean, making it feel like you are on a boat. The windows surround the living space - ocean views all around. Close enough to the water to hear the waves and get sea spray! It was perfect. Thank you for sharing such a great space :>)

Kona Coast Vacation (KCV) rentals was exceptional with the pre-trip communication. The condo was as advertised and was nicely stocked with all that was needed for a relaxing vacation. The microwave was broken when we arrived on Christmas Eve and the KCV office was closed on Christmas day, but I called them the next day and they had a new one installed immediately. The property was nice and secluded and the "ocean pool" was a great way to spend the day. The unit is a little dated, but nothing out of the ordinary for a property in Hawaii.

This was the perfect set up for our family. Every room had it's own bathroom. The views were incredible. We enjoyed watching the lights for the mantra ray excursions. We did that on the second night. I was here with my girlfriend for my aunt’s birthday (coincidentally she lives in the condo directly upstairs!!) and we really enjoyed our stay.
The condo was super clean, two full bathrooms was a dream, and all newly renovated felt like a very good time. It’s far enough south that you don’t have to feel the bustle of downtown Kona, but close enough you don’t feel like it’s a burden to get around. The property is great and right next to the ocean. I was able to check out a couple other properties my family stayed in and honestly this is just a great complex filled with dutiful owners.
If I come back to the big island and my aunt’s condo isn’t available, I will definitely stay here again!

Perfect view from the Lanai. Even watched whales for an entire day. Resort has three great pools. Our unit was very nice and well equipped except for two minor quibbles: the kitchen knives were terrible and tv remotes were troublesome. The place is very expensive including the extra charges for A/C which was absolutely necessary. But then everything is expensive on the Big Island. That said, this unit and resort are highly recommended.

This condo is right above the water and very well appointed for a group of 6.
We traveled to Kona for Thanksgiving week and had a wonderful time. All three bedrooms had their own bathroom. The loft room was a bit warm when air conditioning was off, but was comfortable when AC was on.
There are plenty of dishes, pans and basic spices. We decided the BBQ by the quiet pool was the easiest for us to use (the one by the ocean pool wouldn’t consistently light and seemed slower to heat up)
We liked that it was not in the city center but not so far away we couldn’t go to town…about a 10-15 minute drive.
Washer and dryer are newer and very quiet.
We have no complaints and hopefully can return in the future.

Upon entering the flight of stairs was almost daunting but wasn’t a problem. Once at the top we were pleased to see how pretty our view was. The sunsets were awesome and photos turned out amazingly gorgeous, complete with palm trees and waves. Simply splendid.
Our family of six had well-enough space to sleep and relax in comfort. We are thoroughly spoiled going forward with family get-aways! Our thanksgiving weekend was wonderful as we shared our dinners with other families who stayed in other units nearby.
There were a couple of details to point out though. And only to serve as a mere side note for the owners of this incredible property. There were a few baking pans and a pot that were greasy. Not baked on food or anything; but, the grease was thick and pretty unsightly. We were sure to hand wash each utensil and dish before using anything.
One more detail to point out was that the floor was quite dirty which turned the soles of our feet black. We ended up mopping the walkways and wearing our house slippers.
All in all, we are very thankful and happy we were able to have our family staycation at this wonderful property! Five stars for sure!

Our favorite feature of this condo was location! It had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean and was close to many great beaches and snorkel spots (even a hidden one within walking distance). We loved having access to pools, although we mostly frequented the "ocean pool" located right next to the ocean. We had two families staying there (4 adults and 3 young children) and had plenty of space. The only downfall was that the bedroom with the single bed does get pretty hot in the evening and it was difficult to get any kind of breeze or AC back to it. The two master bedrooms had no problem with temperature control. Despite that small hiccup I would still recommend!

Kanaloa property grounds, pools, management is wonderful BUT unit is tired. The owners of this unit need to do some deferred maintenance. The patio has a wonderful view but the inside needs help.
The mattress is old, lumpy, sagging, pillows the same & stained. The floor fans they provide are full of dust & lint was afraid to use. The living furniture is so old, 2 old recliners,dining room chairs cushions stained. Very disappointing unit. Screen door doesn’t fit the door so cockroaches & geckos in the house. Hope the owners will read this & make some improvements

We were VERY PLEASED with our stay! This condo had EVERYTHING we could want or need to feel at home in Hawaii. The views are unmatched!
My husband, who is VERY hard to please, commented multiple times at how well stocked the kitchen was and how the owners have thought of EVERYTHING (to include USB chargers in the bedroom!). We wanted for nothing. I wish I had asked before traveling, because I packed snorkeling gear and beach towels, which we didn't need to do (you should list these amenities because they're wonderful features!). The kids loved the sand toys and pools, and I loved the shower (and was pleasantly surprised to find even some shampoo and conditioner stocked in the bathroom).
CONS: As other reviewers stated, the noise from upstairs neighbors can be heard and the twin beds are hard, but the kids didn't seem to mind.
We would DEFINITELY return here. Really enjoyed our stay! Great for a family of 4 with young kids.

Enjoyed our 12 night stay here, nice size for longer stays if desired. Liked having all the beach gear available and starter kits for dishwasher, washing machine and toilet paper.
Living areas and bedrooms and bathrooms were great. Best mattress I have slept on in any rental or hotel. Ac worked well. The tv took some getting used to, with the different remotes. Pool areas were very nice, lots of BBQs if you look around, they are spread out.
Suggestions: some of the kitchen items may need repair like the dishwasher door, it fell on my foot a couple of times and I was bruised for 4 days, my email complaint to guest services never received a reply.
The microwave worked off and on, the glass try kept slipping off and not rotating. The cupboard doors need better hinges so they don't reopen and slap you in the face when you don't close them all the way. Maybe some bar stools for the counter?
Otherwise, the ninja blender worked great and other items were fine.

The location and the amenities the place had to offer were great, but there was no transparency about essential amenities needed. Our specific spot did not have AC, and we were all groomsman in a wedding so we showed up sweaty and it was major inconvenience for us. One of the people staying here suffered from health related issues due to the lack of cooling in the place. There was a cockroach in one of the bags and we did not have access to more trash bags and essential cleaning items when we had planned to cook most nights while staging on the island. Our stay came and went too fast at this amazingly beautiful property. The unit is nicely decorated and furnished. We were pleasantly surprised with all the extras. No need to stress over the little things from home you may think you need. It’s there. Coffee in the morning for sunrise and wine for sunsets in the lanai were very relaxing and peaceful. The staff on property were very helpful and polite. We were not ready to leave. Would certainly stay again at this property if given another chance to visit the Big Island. Mahalo

Great location, listened to surf all night long. Well appointed, great accommodations. Doesn’t have AC but at least for us it was ok. The ocean breezes and floor fan helped. 😉

We love everything about Kanaloa at Kona…especially Suzanne’s condo! This was our 3rd visit to this area. Very quiet and relaxing stay at this time of year. The condo was tops and the staff really excel at keeping the resort beautiful. Wonderful KTA grocery store just up the hill. Great restaurants and sights just short drive away as well. We hope to return next year.

I have stayed in this complex before and had a good experience. I thought it would be good. We arrived on a Friday, the condo next door started renovating his condo that day. What a mess and noise right outside the condo. We could not sit on the Lanai for any long periods because of the noise and lack of privacy. We called KonaCoast to complain and see what could be done. We received a one night fund return but really that was not the point. Our vacation had just started. The same noise and mess continued the whole 11 day stay, usually starting in am and going into the evening. I was there for IM and the quiet and rest was important to me. The condo was updated and pleasantly decorated. It was clean but a little dusty. The staff at the front desk where you would get a pass for the car, was rude and not helpful to some concerns, they just didn't care. Just to warn people also, it was a first floor unit and the upstairs guest had very loud footsteps. I should have realized that this would be an issue and never get a first floor unit again.

Property great. Very well equippped and clean. AC struggled in bedrooms. View excellent. Overall would recommend but 3 flights of stairs to get to bedroom, should be on tne listing as not easy.

Clean, and Comfortable is just the start of this excellent home. The home is well-appointed with everything you need. Fantastic location on the resort with a direct view of Keahou Bay from the lanai! Parking spot is right at the stairs, main pool is just across the drive. The entire Kanaloa at Kona Resort is clean, well-maintained and beautiful. A great place for you Hawaiian stay.

The views were amazing, the location was close to both the Security Gate and the parking stall. The unit had everything we could want, including pool/beach toys. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It definitely exceeded our expectations.

This unit is in prime position. We loved sitting on our balcony watching the sunset or by the ocean pool. It was the perfect location to explore the big island and we would recommend it highly. Check you don’t get the dodgy aircon key. Once we swapped it we had no problem with the air conditioning. The front office were very helpful and friendly. Aloha and mahalo.
