Beautiful location right next to the oceanfront pool/hot tub. Good view of the ocean and sunset from the lanai. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need. There is even a wine fridge. Good sized bathrooms. Plenty of comfy lounge chairs at the pool with a great view of the ocean and umbrellas. Very close to a big shopping center with a lot of restaurants, a grocery store, a drug store, and a movie theater. Keypad on the door is easy to operate. It was clean and had all the linens we needed. They supply plenty of soap for hands, dishes, and laundry.

Amazing all around! First off the view was beautiful all day and night! The condo is well kept with lovely decor that makes you feel the aloha as soon as you arrive. The kitchen was well supplied and able to cook several dinners and most breakfasts during our stay. Quite lovely having meals outside on the large deck. The coffee grinder was an added plus! The bedrooms were large and beds very comfortable. The bathrooms were spacious with plenty of soft towels. The beach supply closet was much appreciated. The condo provided more than ample space for two couples to spread out. The resort that the condo is part of is well manicure with beautiful foliage everywhere. The pools were a nice retreat after a day of snorkeling. We enjoyed the short beach walk as well. We will definitely stay here again when in Kona.

We would rate it 4.5 stars. Very clean and the bathrooms were nicely renovated. The kitchen was complete with all the essentials you need to make a meal. We had a great time and liked the location was near the shopping area. The complex has an adult pool that we enjoyed since was always empty. The pools are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

We stayed here two weeks in July with our two grown sons. The condo is spacious and comfortable and has a wonderful view throughout the day. We loved the resort and enjoyed all three pools, especially the ocean pool at the end of the day to watch the sunset. We would stay here again. I also enjoyed having multiple grills stationed throughout the resort so I never had to wait when I was ready to cook dinner.

Our stay was absolutely great! The property was beautiful and mostly well maintained, and the condo was gorgeous and largely clean. We would definitely recommend this unit... The views of the ocean are outstanding!The only significant negative was that there was no elevator, so if you have heavy luggage, be warned.There are always a couple of things I notice in just about any VRBO, so there are just a couple of recomendations I would make to the owner/manager of this property:1) There were no noticeable bugs at all during out stay, but on some of the window-ledges, there were a bunch of small, dead bugs. A quick wipe-down is all it took to clean it up.2) The door to the upstairs bedroom is coming loose at the top hinge, making it hard to close: You have to physically move the door into an upright position in order to close it.Again, overall, my whole family loved the place, and we would absolutely come back, and recommend it to our friends & family!

Absolutely beautiful property and location. The lanai alone is worth choosing this unit. AC worked great, well stocked kitchen, and good communication when we had questions. Only thing to note is the beds are firm. This trip was with friends and one couple loved the firmness of their bed and the other couple felt their bed was much too firm. Overall fabulous time and we would absolutely return.

The location is wonderful and a very nice resort, well kept up and maintaining that Hawaii ambience and culture. Condo was very comfortable, especially bed and well stocked kitchen for enjoying meals on the balcony/lanai. My only complaint was that I was not informed of the extra cost of air-conditioning (ie not included). Personally I don't like air-conditioning and it really is unnecessary down by the ocean with ocean breezes. I tried contact management but they were unresponsive on this point. I did not use the air-conditioning yet paid quite a bit of extra money which as I said was not noted in the advertisement. Check out all the extra costs before booking.

We enjoyed our stay at Kanaloa. Check in was easy and communication with the owner was quick and reliable. The property was walkable and beautiful. The pool by the ocean was especially inviting. The condo was large and inviting and had 2 outdoor lanais that we enjoyed. Adequate dish and laundry supplies were appreciated and not always available in other locations. Loved the pebble and chunk ice on demand in the freezer! The only critique was that the pressure in the master shower was not great. This was a comfortable stay for our family of large adult and semi adult sons.

The owner thoughtfully provided a binder with tips and recommendations, and there were helpful instructions on how to operate everything. We LOVED this home. All of the amenities for our family of 4 were great, felt like a dream home away from home in paradise. Loved the mid-century island vibe of the home and furnishings, it felt very warm and welcoming. Very thankful for all the beach gear available in the closet! Appreciate the pitcher for water in the fridge, at least to keep some drinking water cold. The view across the gold course and up the mountain while laying in the lanai was lovely! And such a short walk to the ocean pool and that incredible ocean view on the rocks. The neighborhood is lovely and the groceries and pizza stop just five minutes away was awesome. I will definitely hope to stay here again for our next trip to the Big Island!

Where to begin?! This condo was everything we hoped for. The location and views couldn’t have been better. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We’ve been coming to this resort annually for years and always rented one of the condos on the waterfront. This property was the best of all of them.The place is beautifully decorated in the island style and immaculately clean. It has a complete kitchen and we cooked in for many of our meals. The lanai facing the sea is the best feature and we spent most of our time there just taking it all in.The owner called personally to see if we were happy with everything and invited us to call on their cell phone if we had any problems.We highly recommend this place and will look forward to returning next year.

Our stay was fantastic in many different ways. Our family likes doing different activities and there was a lot to do staying here. Our children got to venture out and go to three different pools and they had a blast. Us adults got to relax on the lanai, grill right next to our condo, and we got to take long walks along the beach and grounds. All in all a great place to stay. Host: Excellent communicator and very flexible. Allowed us to extend our check out time (did her best to accommodate our flight schedule). Location: The condo is situated by a small bay with a small beach where you can start snorkeling right away. It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach. Bring reef shoes. There is also a grocery store within walking distance where you can get all you may need. About 1/2 mile away. Condo: There are three levels. Entry, Main, Upper bedroom, so you will need to be ok with stairs. There are three decks. Kitchen was well stocked. Board games were fun. All rooms are specious and well appointed. Lots of turtles incorporated into decor. We saw many turtles at various beaches we visited. There are 3 boogie boards that were probably left by prior guests. They are not in great shape but the kids managed to have fun regardless. We enjoyed playing tennis and also used all three pools that are available. You are also able to borrow tennis rackets from the club house free of charge but they are not in great shape. If you are a tennis pro, best to bring your own. Lastly, there is a gas gill right outside the building. We used it quite a bit. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would come back.

Gorgeous, waterfront, unobstructed view. Beautiful art, decor. Extremely clean and quiet. The kitchen has everything you need inc paper products, soaps, spices, etc. Everything you may need for the beach was included. Snorkel gear, beach chairs, cooler, etc. The lanai even has a built in bar inc refrigerator.
This condo is the perfect location for North or South exploring. We all felt blessed the owners shared their condo with us. Highly recommend!!!

The house was nice and big enough for our family of 7. The pool is only 3ft deep and not very big. What bother us the most was how dirty the pool deck was. Black mold and dirt all over around the pool. We could not even find a broom to sweep it ourselves. The pictures are deceiving. Only 2 lounge chairs and no outside dinning table. Kitchen didn't have much in the way of spices. We had to go back to the store for salt and peper. Also there is no access to get in the ocean within walking distance. u will not hear the ocean from the house. With that being said the house was very private. We loved the sounds of the frogs at night. We were not too hot the fans kept us cool at night.
