This place, 522, was so organized, clean and comfortable. Very nice location with easy access to beaches. Ample parking, plenty of supplies in kitchen for blender, pots/pans, etc. As someone mentioned, no salt/pepper, oil, etc - so pick some up. But just wonderful, quiet place to stay and sit on the deck and watch the waves and the sunset. Will definitely want to stay here again!

Our stay at this condo was relaxing and exactly what I needed - I had to postpone my arrival due to a pet emergency but my husband picked me up at the airport and as soon as I arrived at Poipu I started to decompress. The condo is large and airy - very comforable and I loved the decorations. The bed was super comfy and it was quiet. Perfectly located in that we were just a few minutes walk from a great beach and the views from the deck were wonderful. I plan to definitely come back !

Unit is very nice. You can sit on back deck and see ocean and Poipu point, surfers in the background. Very short walk to Brennecke's Beach, which is great for bodysurfing, and Poipu Beach Park. Also very short drive to beautiful Shipwrecks Beach. Place was clean, remodeled with very nice appointments. Has an unexpected 2nd bdrm with 2 double sized beds and own bathroom. Full kitchen well stocked. Beach umbrella and chairs. Overall, perfect for celebrsting my wife's 50th.

Pool was clean and heated. For those that intend to cook most of your meals like we did, you will need to buy everything. We were surprised to not have any items such as oil or salt and pepper. Very minor detail. We would stay here again without hesitation.

This place did not disappoint, it was larger than I expected with 2 lanais! You have a great sunset view, and it was always sheltered from wind and rain during our stay (not sure if the wind always blows in the same direction, but it was a good spot for a rainy day). The unit is very well equipped with kitchen equipment, there was even sunscreen and bug spray, perhaps left behind by previous guests. There even candles and matches, which I’ve never seen in a rental before! The beach chairs and umbrellas were in good shape, and beach towels are also provided. I would have liked to have boogie boards.
Bed was very comfortable, water pressure was good, AC worked well.
The reason I took off a star is because the listing says you will get info on how to access the unit 24 hours in advance of checkin, which was 3 pm Friday HST. I was worried there would be no one available after 5, so I sent a message through VRBO at 4pm HST. My flight was early, so not during business hours HST, and I didn’t want to have to wait to figure this out after landing. By 5 I hadn’t heard anything. I got a phone number through contacting VRBO and got voicemail, ended up chatting with VRBO again, they got in touch with manager and I got the message with the info about an hour later. I have read other complaints about this, if they could send the confirmation 2 days in advance, it would put many more people at ease!
Also, follow instructions in their message about how to get there, my GPS got it wrong!

This is our first stay in Poipu and although it’s busier than other parts of the island, it is most convenient to everything. Condo is very well stocked with everything we needed. Perfect location, beautiful third floor property with tons of space and vaulted ceilings, and a killer view of the sunset over the ocean. This would be a five-star review if the communication with the host wasn’t so poor. They took no initiative to tell me about the check in process, so that the morning before my flight to Kauai, I still had no idea how to check in. It honestly made me worry this was going to be a scam property. Thankfully that turned out not to be the case, and everything was excellent once the host finally gave me some information and we were all checked in.

The unit was one of the best we have ever had with VRBO around the world. Very large unit equipped with everything you could want or need for your stay. We were very satisfied with the whole experience and would definitely stay again for our next visit to Kauai. The only challenge for older people is that it is a 3rd floor walk up, but it is well worth the effort!

The ocean view penthouse is a real gem. It is spacious. It had two bedrooms and two full bathrooms even though only one was advertised. The decorations are very tasteful. The kitchen is well equipped. The view of the ocean is excellent. There really is nothing negative to say about this property (beware if you have trouble climbing stairs as there are a few flights of them you will need to use to access the property). We enjoyed using the pool. The location is great with a beach park only a half block away. The complex is very peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend this property if you are staying in Poipu.

We had some difficulty finding the place since we arrived at night. They sent us detailed driving instructions that were still a little confusing. Upon arrival we were surprised to find it was a 2 bedroom since all the pictures on line show one bedroom. My wife and I would’ve preferred a one bedroom assuming it would’ve been less expensive. The second bedroom had 2 double beds in it so the apt would be well suited for families. The place is spacious and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The place was very clean which we appreciated. You can see the ocean over the tops of many roofs. The apt has a neighbor and when you’re both on the balcony you can hear each other. Once the balcony doors are closed it’s pretty quiet although occasionally you can hear neighbors through the walls. While technically the apt. meets the definition of a “penthouse” it’s just an apt. on the top floor of connected buildings. Calling it a penthouse might be overselling it a bit. It was great that they had snorkel gear, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler. The beach is a 5 minute walk. Overall it’s a very nice place.

Nice and comfortable stay in the fully equipped vacation home. From kitchen to beach necessities we had all we could need. Me and my husband enjoyed the sunsets off the balcony and walked to the beach for snorkeling and relaxing.

Amazing spacious suite in a fantastic location! Beautiful sunrise from the master bedroom and beautiful sunsets off the deck. Beautiful Oceanview throughout the day. Walking distance to Poipu beach where you can see the turtles in the surf or lying on the beach. Good quality kitchen and accessories. We loved every part of our vacation; it was perfect for our 16 month old to safely run around. We would've stayed there comfortably for months if we could've. Highly recommend!

Pluses: Condo was nice, clean, walking distance to the beach and Brennecke's restaurant. I even walked to the Poipu shopping center for a Starbuck's one day, but for some people that might be too far to walk, it's a short 7 minute drive though. There was enough kitchen utensils for us, however bring your own spices as there are none in the condo. Great view of the sunset, but you are looking over the tops of the houses in front of you as this condo is in a residential area. Didn't bother us as it's so beautiful here. Short walk to the pool area.
Minuses: You can hear the people in the condo next door pretty easily when you have the sliders and windows open, but since it's Hawaii everyone has their sliders and windows open, so just be aware you will be hearing people while you sit on the lanai. This particular condo was on the third floor which has great views, but those who have issues with walking might not like the three flights of stairs to get to it. Our biggest complaint was with the property management team. They were not very good with communication. Every time I paid my deposit and then final bill I never got a confirmation that they received it. Then when I inquired about check in info they just sent an email that they knew we were coming and would give me the info 24 hours prior to check in without telling me what time check in was. When I didn't receive any info the day before we were about to arrive I emailed them through VRBO and did not hear anything back. I finally called VRBO after 6 pm the night before check in and she was able to contact the management company who then finally emailed me the check in info. There was no communication as to check out info, not even what time we were to leave the condo. I've never dealt with a management company like this so it was a little unnerving the day before check in and you don't hear anything and wonder if you have a condo to move into after paying all this money, not to mention you have no idea what time check out is and what they would like you to do before you leave. By comparison, we stayed in Princeville prior to Poipu and that management company was on the ball every step of the way. We were very impressed with them.
This was a nice condo, but I think in the future we will find accommodations that are not in such a crowded area and not affiliated with this management company.
