This one bedroom loft, bungalow-style condo is located in the Princeville Resort community. Kept in immaculate condition, the condo has nearly every amenity. The condo has a beautiful view of green space and a bit of ocean as well, right on the Anini Beach path (1/2 mile with steep hill, great for a morning workout). The kitchen is fully stocked and ready to go, so all you need is great local produce from one of the many farmers markets and you're good to go!
Tastefully designed, this upper story, bright and airy, studio condo with loft has a balcony where you can wake with the warm morning sunshine and views of the lush trees lining the Queen Emmalani pathway that leads to Anini Beach (1/2 mile away). This charming condo borders the beautiful green space of the Prince golf course and offers privacy from other units. You can also take a dip in the pool, which is just out the front door!
The bedroom loft has a California King sized bed, equipped with 4 inches of memory foam for ultimate comfort. The condo is further outfitted with a large bathroom, a dining table that seats four, a comfortable sleeper sofa (queen), a 32' flat screen HD TV with Roku (free Netflix provided) as well as Wifi.
A half mile walk down the path in front of the condo will lead you to amazing views and to the secluded end of Anini Beach (there is a steep hill for the final stretch). Anini Beach has excellent snorkeling and swimming (it is also a short drive to get to by car). FYI, Anini has the longest barrier reef in the state of Hawaii! This reef breaks all the waves, leaving a lagoon of protected and calm water.
Within a very short walk the other direction from the condo (5-10 min), you will find the Princeville Shopping Village. This is were the primary grocery store on the North Shore (Foodland) is located as well as Lappert's ice cream, shave ice, a coffee shop, boutique stores, multiple restaurants, live music, a yoga studio, a post office, banks/ATMs, a library and bus stop. As mentioned, this condo is situated next to quiet green space yet it is the most nearby condo to these amenities, making it an easy and enjoyable walk. You simply turn right on the Anini Beach Pathway (heading towards the mountains), cross the road and walk through the beautiful Princeville Park and you're there. It's the perfect location! The condo is ideal for anyone who would prefer not to drive, with plenty to see and do on foot.
The greater Princeville area is a quiet resort community located on a bluff overlooking Hanalei Bay and offers spectacular views of the ocean and surrounding mountains with waterfalls and the famous “Bali Hai” ridge that earned its fame from the movie South Pacific. For golf lovers it is also home to the Makai golf course.
Beautiful Hanalei Bay is only 10 minutes away by car. A beautiful place to walk, swim, boogie board or enjoy surfing from beginner to advanced abilities.
Kilauea, with it's scenic lighthouse and wonderful bakery, restaurants and shops is only 15 minutes away by car and your choices for nearby beautiful beaches are endless in either direction

We loved our stay at Lani's condo. Lani was thorough and detailed in her communication and checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure we were comfortable and to give us any updates. The condo had everything we could have asked for during our stay, including Kauai guidebooks, beach chairs and umbrella, beach towels, in-house laundry and basic cooking condiments. Princeville ended up being the ideal place to stay as during our visit as further up north the road to Hannelei closed due to flash flood warnings. We're grateful the Princeville section of highway consistently remains open so we could drive down south.

The walking trail to the shopping area is quite pleasant. We did walk part way to the beach, but being in our 70s didnt think it wise to tackle the steep incline on mud. The place is adorable, steps are steep but doable. The fresh beans and grinder were a def bonus! The island itself is AWESOME! Spent the $$$$ on the coastal boat tour, the gardens, and the food. HI is very very expensive, but worth it!

The layout of the space is nice and open. I enjoyed that the dining table is adjacent to the porch space so even when it rains, you can enjoy a meal or drink while listening to and feeling the breeze. Laundry was great since everything got muddy. The loft is a little warm if you go to bed early but does cool off in a few hours. The location is close so several uncrossed beaches and a few areas with restaurants etc. I mostly just cooked and ate poke!

We looked at many properties but didn't need or want a 2-3 BR as there was just two of us and I didn't want to pay for a big place. This one was perfect. The host/owner is amazing! She totally took care of us like we were her kids (I'm 60!). Everything we wanted or needed was there. I had a question for her while there and she responded immediately! We've used VRBO many times from Tel Aviv to the Oregon coast and there is a HUGE difference between working with the owner(great!) and a property management company(Not so much). Great location for walking to the beach, grocery store, restaurants. Very short drive to other beaches and food carts. The property looks out on the pool. A 30 second walk to the pool after a long day is great. We had the pool to ourselves every evening. I can't recomend this place enough!

The Bamboo Bungalow is perfectly situated and within walking distance to Anini Beach and the Princeville Shopping Center. It's only a short driving distance down the hill to Hanalei. The condo itself was immaculate and well stocked with everything you could want or need.
The best thing about this Condo though was Lani. Her communication and suggestions before and after we had landed made for a more enjoyable and seamless experience. We felt like we had our own Conceirge to help us navigate and make the most of our stay. Her Island guide proved to be invaluable throughout and we referenced on multiple occasions.

Beautiful, quiet location! There is a trail right behind the unit that takes you to secluded Anini Beach. Great snorkeling. This place had it all, from the fully stocked tickle trunk of boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel gear... to the great loft bedroom where you could hear the occasional rain hitting the roof. Magical spot in a great location. So well stocked with everything you need for an awesome vacation. Thanks again for hosting us!

Lani is an exceptional host and went out of her way to make our stay perfect. She even made an accommodation for us to rent another one of her properties when VRBO double booked our original booking with her and we were left without a place to stay. The only negative, if there is one, is that the upstairs bedroom in the Bamboo Bungalow gets quite warm during the day, but it does cool off at night with fans. Other than that, the place and host were fantastic!

Great communication with host- and amenities such as towels and washing machine was great. Unfortunately the unit fell short in most other aspects- the unit was outdated, and very hot especially upstairs (no AC, only fans), uncomfortable soft bed, with many nats and spiders. Also encountered geckos, and although we were informed beforehand, we did not expect to see multiple especially by our bed at night. Overall, felt like we were camping, which was disappointing considering how much this place charged per night. Would recommend staying at a hotel or somewhere else for this price point. This was our 5th time in Hawaii and this was the most unpleasant and uncomfortable lodging we've had.

The location was great. Lani has put together an awesome book of instructions, places to go, well updated with the recent changes due to the hurricane last year.We had a couple of minor problems/concerns (i.e. the hide-a-bed got stuck). Lani was immediately responsive by phone, and also came by to be sure the problem was solved. Hurrah!
The condo was clean, well equipped, appliances in good order, same with the grounds. Pool was great, heated by the sun, so crisp after dark. Tenants we're quiet, birds were abundant, no traffic noise.
