Staying at Rick’s place is always pleasant and appreciated. The host is very communicative and kind, giving true aloha. His place is extremely well stocked with every kitchen utensil you could ever ask for and even board games books and a very nice TV! This is our second stay here and it is always a gem to find it available. The Paniolo complex has swimming pools and is safe and very beautiful to stay at. Many mahalos!!

The big question is would we rent it again. Yes, we would.
I rarely give 5 star reviews because it has to be unexpectedly fantastic. But we have had vacation rentals in 8 different states and this one was fine. The big plus was the size. Vacation rentals are trending bigger and bigger. This was a comfortably sized studio just right for me and my wife. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed wasn't wonkey, the neighborhood was quiet and all the appliances worked. What we want in a rental is a place we "forget" that it's a rental and we got that. So, yes, next time we come to Kauai we would stay here again.

It was a lovely stay. We were in a great location - close enough to Hanalei to enjoy the area - but we were able to leave the hustle and bustle and return in the evening to a quiet location. Check-in and check-out was easy. Amenities were nice. Would recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for a week for our honeymoon! Rick was super easy to communicate with. He responded quickly and was super kind.
We absolutely loved Rick’s property and where it was located in Princeville. There were many amenities, so we didn’t have to worry about buying/renting things, such as snorkeling gear, beach chairs, a cooler, and a beach umbrella. There were also lots of cooking things, so we were able to make our own meals for the week! It definitely saved us some money.
The pool was super nice to swim in, and we loved that we were so close to Hanalei Bay and other beaches like Anini beach.
All-in-all, I would definitely consider staying here again!

Princeville is the nicest area of Kauai and this complex is across the street from the main golf course and a block away from the trail that leads down to a great beach. Overall amazing stay. No AC but the place remained pretty cool with the fans. Can't complain. Would stay again.

This is a nice private condo located in princeville. It turned out to be perfect for our short stay. Although it was not clean upon arrival but owner was nice enough to arrange cleaner soon enough to take care of it. Note it is an hour away from Poipu and Airport.

Adequate apartment but narrow entryway makes it difficult to access since you have to remove your shoes before entering.
The bed and the sofa were uncomfortable and the kitchen and floors were dirty. Flies were everywhere in the apartment especially near the kitchen trash can. Host requires removing your shoes prior to entering but walking in your socks stains the bottoms of your socks. Host alleged a lotion stain was found on a towel and charged us $12.95 for "damages". When I protested that we don't use lotion, he responded that "that's what they all say" but he isn't going to "subsidize" his guests. First time in 60+ years of travel in the US and abroad that we have been charged for damages. Find another place to stay.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Great accomodations and great communication with the host. He made sure we were taken care of and responded quite quickly. It's also near some great snorkeling spots and beaches. Amazing food is within 10 minutes as well. Sitting on the lanai each morning with some coffee or tea while the sun rose was super relaxing and a lovely experience as well.

Had a great time in Kauai. This was the perfect little condo with everything we needed, it had everything to make our stay here more comfortable. Right out the back door you can walk down the path to Anini Beach, or a short walk to restaurants and the grocery store, Hanalei Beach is less than a 10 minute drive. I would definitely stay here again.

This place had everything you could possibly need for visiting Kauai. There was a cooler and ice packs that we used to store our cold drinks. There were beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and beach towels. The kitchen seemed to have everything one could use or need. We didn’t use it much at all but I did open all the cabinets to have a look see. Check in was a breeze and there was a binder with all the details of the property. I would stay here again!

The location was perfect distance to all the best spots nearby. Having the access the kitchen, fridge and patio was amazing. Rick ensured everything had clear instructions and checkin and checkout was a breeze. I had some packages delivered to the location and Rick graciously went above and beyond to ensure they were safely received before my departure. Thank you Rick for everything! I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting to be close to Hanalei (less than 10min drive) and we even made multi day trips to the Westcoast and the driving was manageable!

We had a great week in Rick’s beautiful condo. It has everything that you could possibly need. We didn’t do any cooking but you can certainly whip up a gourmet meal in the well stocked kitchen.
The bed was super comfy and the bathroom is a nice size. The location can’t be beat.

This was a nice rental. We very much appreciated that the owner had the basics there… beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, coffee filters, ice packs, etc. That really helped… some of those things you hate to buy for a one week visit and then waste the rest.
We loved that we could walk to the shopping center and some restaurants. We strapped the beach chairs on our backs and walked to Anini/Wylie beach several times. It’s a great option to not worry about parking. Hanalei Bay was a short drive and a beautiful beach.
The main negative we felt were the front entry. There is a shared entry with the unit next door. The front doors need to be pulled hard (slammed) to close and lock, and the shared screen door is REALLY loud. During our visit the next door person came and went at 4am/5am many days in a row. It would be great if the doors/slider were not so loud to cause such a ruckus in the wee hours.

Rick, the host, was very responsive and allowed us to check-in much earlier, which was a great help due to arriving early in the day! The location of the property was conveniently located, felt safe, and was easy to get to and from our daily outings. Only once was the parking spot taken up, but it wasn't for long and one neighbor was very helpful with this situation. We enjoyed having a living room area and T.V. to rest and relax. The shower was a nice size with awesome water pressure! Thank you Rick : )

My husband and I loved our stay! The kitchen was well-stocked and made cooking our own meals (and saving a bunch on food!) very easy. The beach gear was a nice touch. The bed was super comfortable and the fans and cross breeze from the open windows were a good substitute for AC. Princeville is beautiful, but definitely take take the time to go into Hanalei. It’s not far, but we were happy to have a rental car so we could see more of the island. All in all, we were very happy with our stay!

This condo was a delightful property, very quiet and restful location and convenient to sightseeing. It really looks better than the pictures as others have said. Very tastefully renovated and it has everything you need at a rental condo. Rick was very helpful and answers back quickly, we had no issues whatsoever. We were so busy enjoying Kauai we didn't have a chance to see the pool, but I'm sure it was nice. Loved the privacy and backing the golf course and seeing the beautiful sunrises from condo every morning. Overall, this is a very nice little place that is just right for a couple or one person. We like to cook so the well equiped kitchen fit our needs well. The store and beach are both within easy walking distance. There was sometimes a little noise from the road and yard workers, but not enough to really bother us. go To" destination - Location is quiet, beautiful and easy to get anywhere that we want. Rick has always been great communicator and this tay was no exception . A tree fell on the 1st day of our stay and damaged the deck - Tree guys were there for repairs and clean up over the next few days - loud process but somewhat entertaining. Rick offered a days refund without us asking and he processed it right away. The kitchen was amazing ans well stocked. Love it here!

The property looked great online and was even better in person. We had everything we could need to enjoy our stay exploring the island. There was a cooler and ice packs in the freezer, so we could pack a lunch for the beach; there were two sets of fins and snorkels, 2 beach chairs, beach towels, even sunscreen and bug spray in the bathroom cabinets! We used the pool, grill and hiked down to the very beautiful and secluded Anini Beach (shorter to walk than drive!) Such a special place, no complaints at all!

I stayed at Rick’s place for a month, and it was a wonderful experience all around. He has anticipated even the smallest details to make guests feel at home.
Princeville is centrally located on the North Shore, so it’s easy to access both Hanalei and Kilauea, as well as day trip to the Southern and Western parts of the island. I enjoyed the walking/running path in Princeville and all of the beaches and water sites within walking distance to the apartment.
The fully outfitted kitchen and washer and dryer were great given the long-term nature of my stay.
The apartment itself has a lot of floor space to do yoga or Pilates (which is helpful in pandemic times). I also appreciated all of the different seating configurations (the small dining table for two, a distinct living room area, a desk, and of course the lanai). I loved opening the glass doors morning and night to listen to the rain and the birds. It’s a very peaceful spot.
Last but not least, I tend to get warm at night, but I was very comfortable at Rick’s place with the fans he provided.

We walked to the sunrise and grocery store and drove 4 minutes to watch the sunset while soaking in the Queen’s Bath. Shower was one of the best showers I have ever had. Bed could have been a little firmer but was okay enough. Kitchen fully stocked with great knives and cooking utensils (for a rental.). Again, very very happy to have found this place. Oh and Rick was wonderful and incredibly responsive!
