This one-bedroom vacation condo features a private lanai, a cable TV, a telephone, free high-speed WiFi, a washer/dryer, ceiling fans, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a complimentary, in-suite safe. A tennis court and barbecues can also be found on the property’s beautifully manicured grounds, in addition to ample free parking. Enjoy a cool swim in one of the two pools. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are also just minutes away from your doorstep.

I’ve stayed in several of the condos in the Kihei Akahi over my stays to Maui. This one is practical in a sense that it has everything you need but definitely isn’t one of the most up-to-date units. The brass tax…nothing more.

Beautiful property, Close to all the action. The BBQ area at the lower pool is the perfect gathering place. Was a little disappointed that our unit didn’t have a beach umbrella and only 2 lesser quality beach chairs…but plenty of places to rent them nearby. A little warm without AC in the bedroom but the fans helped a lot. The pull out couch was amply comfortable for 2 Teens.

Low key, quiet and relaxing. My only critique is there could be more kitchen utensils (I.e. forks) and serving/prep dishes. We like to find local fresh food and create meals but the grill is a walk and there wasn’t much to work with. Overall, great place

The location was great with walking distance from stores/restaurants and cross the street from beaches. If you drive, Kihei is a very convenient middle spot to go to Hana Road, West and South beaches/ activities. Kitchen items are well equipped, bed was clean with extra sheets/pillows. Beach chairs, a body board, other beach items were there for fun. We really enjoyed staying there. Vacasa made sure with everything fine, and the front desk was also helpful (I just contacted them ahead since their open hour was limited.) and felt safe staying there.

This unit had lots of things provided for us which was really nice and appreciated, everything we needed for our trip and as a temporary home. My only complaint is the expensive cleaning fee charged to us, only to come into a dirty place. Dirt and grime in the shower, sticky dishes with food residue, sticky surfaces. There were footprints on the wall. At least a decent amount of cleaning supplies was provided though but I wish it was clean already. It kind of ruins a stay if I have to clean upon landing. Very sweet to leave us some treats and check in on our needs.

The unit was clean. There was record heat on Maui while I was there. The temperature in the unit was about 98 degrees when I arrived. Not very welcoming. I found there was one very undersized window air conditioner in the living room. There was no air conditioner in the bedroom, just three fans. I looked for an ice cube tray to have cold drinks, but I never found one. The TV would not display from the cable box, and the management company person via text was unable to help. After trying different things for about an hour, I found that you had to set the TV input to Blu-ray in order to get the cable box input. This was very confusing and not in the instructions in the unit. I knew from photos that the unit was dated, but replacing the dingy brown rugs would help it to feel cleaner and brighter.

My wife and I were looking for a lower cost, yet nice place to stay. We knew for this to happen, we would have to lose the ocean view. We never planned to stay in the room much so this was not a big deal. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the condo was. It was better than we anticipated.

I’ve been staying at Kihei Akahi for 15 years. Unit D-105 is by far the best unit I’ve stayed in at the property. Clean, well maintained, very welcoming and comfortable. The owners have gone above and beyond to make sure that their guests have an amazing experience in their unit.

We appreciated the fact that everything was in working order! My guests found the bed to be comfortable. I slept on the sofa bed which was also comfortable. We ate out most of the time, but we noticed that the kitchen was well-equipped. The electric kettle was perfect for morning tea or just hot water with lemon. I was thankful to have booked this property and we had a great stay. The listing is as described and as expected, with some very welcoming touches provided, like a goodie bag and extra towels. There is plenty of living space and separation from the bedroom so you can stay up without worrying you will wake up your kiddo ;) We enjoyed the closeness to the beach and the pool. Reasonably priced for the amenities. Nice clean pools, easy walk to the beach and some good restaurant choices (we liked Penny's Pizza and Pasta next door) and shopping. Place was well-kept. One bedroom double bed and a pull-out double bed from the couch in the living room which was fine for us. Don't hang any wet clothes on the balcony railing or you'll drip onto the neighbor's patio below.

The condo provided a lot of convenience. We were close to the beach and everything was very clean. Having access to simple things like dishes, pans, and bath towels made a big difference and made it feel more like home. I was very pleased to have stayed here!

My stay was ok but one thing I wasn’t happy about was it was not clean. Floors were dusty, sofa bed dusty, ceiling fan dusty, windows dusty, bedsheets had stains on them.
