My overall view is the apartment is in a perfect location, the apartment was perfect for what i needed. Here are the few problems I had. for the first week I was there parking was a nightmare, this wasn't owners fault the HOA/ management was doing road repair and renewing. The Lani needs a refresh/deep cleaning also I would recommend a fold able wagon. The beds were very soft, apartment has everything you will need for your trip but a rice pot. My 2 cents needs a Rice pot. This place was a great blessing to me and my family we had a great time. I would stay here again already looking at my next trip here. Owner responded to all my question and messages really quick. see you again.

Condo was well appointed. It had pack and play , child car seat, pool toys, 2 small trikes to keep our grandchildren comfy and happy. Kitchen was well stocked with knifes, plates, blender and rice cooker. There was even an air mattress. Issues that came up ,like ice maker, TV cable,were promptly addressed. We like the fact that there were solar panels too. One of the pools were right in front of the condo. It could be a slight negative for the other people voices heard from the pool, or it is a positive withe easy proximity for getting stuff from the pool to the condo. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

When we arrived the Bed pillows were piled on beds with no cases , I can overlook that , under beds and dining room cabinet were filthy, killed roaches all month in kitchen and bathrooms , Maria was nice enough to keep us supplied in roach traps etc. Dining room chairs are like sitting in a sink holes . Perfect Location
This was our second time renting this condo. This is the perfect location if you are wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. It is located in a private golf community and gives you a tropical family neighborhood feel with community pools and hot tubs. The beautiful lagoons and beaches are just a short walk away. The area has anything you may need from restaurants to stores. The condo is fully equipped with all your kitchen needs, as well as all the fun stuff that you would want to take to the beach. The condo is very comfortable, but does need a couple things refreshed, like a fresh coat of interior paint and the cushions on the dinning room chairs need replaced. I still gave it a five out of five rating because it is a wonderful place to stay and Maria the host was very helpful. We will definitely rent it again.

We enjoyed our month long vacation! Great location! Close to lagoons & shopping. Kitchen equipped with essentials but could use a new large skillet, sharp knives and dish towels (only supplied 2). Definitely need bath mats for bathroom! The king bed is very comfy. After being here for a wk we stripped the bed to wash the sheets and found the mattress cover very soiled (disgusting) so I had to strip that and wash it. That should be washed after every visit! One of the twin beds did not have a bottom sheet. We didn’t notice that until we stripped the bed. Upon arrival beds were made without pillow cases on pillows. The linens in closet had a terrible smell to them and had to be washed before using. The condo could use a paint job! Plenty of beach chairs and toys. Close to pool. The lani is very private. Definitely need two FOB’s when a larger group is staying!

The dryer has an issue, drying with a light load takes 3 to 4 cycles too dry.
The hall bathroom tub is very slow too drain. When done showering you are standing in ankle deep water. The sink drips and the toilet runs constantly.
The stove burner pans are filthy and fry pans need too be tossed. I bought 2 pans so we could cook. The ice maker randomly shoots out ice cubes day and night so it leaves puddles of water everywhere.
I realize cockroaches are common in Hawaii but were killing quite a few of them everyday.
We enjoyed our stay despite all the issues.

We stayed here for a month. 3 weeks with just my husband and me and 1 week with grandkids and daughter and son in law. It was the perfect space for us. Great location, beautiful neighborhood, best beach on the whole island across the street; Lanikuhonua. We loved it so much! We will definitely be back to this place. We stayed in Coconut Plantation and enjoyed the wonderful location and beauty of the area. The condo kitchen was well equipped.
The cleaning ladies were on site when we arrived and cleaning was not very thorough. It was difficult to park 2 vehicles in the garage as many items were stored there. Also, the $150 electric allowance is not enough as the usual monthly bill runs 400-500.

We had an excellent stay overall. This property is a great location within coconut plantation, close to pool, separate hot tub with waterfall and close to the shops. Lanai is very private with lots of vegetation.
For the price I feel they could have included more basics, we were provided with 1 bar of soap for two bathrooms and the kitchen, so we bought handsoap. We didn't have a sponge provided, so bought that. However, these things were minor and I would still stay here again.
The master bed was very comfy, the place was spacious, for part of it we had two couples with children and there was enough space, part of the time was just our family and we had more bedrooms than needed.
The TV and cable in the livingroom were a bit difficult to figure out and perhaps something wrong with them.
If you stay here highlights for us included seeing turtles (swim up in shallow water) at the public beach accessed beside paradise cove lanai.
Utilising the photo pass at disney Aulani to get sunset photos. only 25$
Taking the train to Ewa and back - the train museum had an amazing model train set up that our kid loved.
There are three pool or hottub areas in coconut plantation.
There is a wagon, cooler, chairs, many boogie boards, many kid shovels, snorkels, masks, flippers, beach towels etc included in this rental.
Of note you can't use beach umbrellas on the ko olina beaches.
We didn't have a car, used uber for groceries at costco and otherwise had walmart delivery. worked out great.

Place of Joy truly describes our visit to the Coconut Plantation. Close proximity to pool and ocean and great restaurants and stores close by. I would recommend getting a smaller vehicle to rent. We had an Explorer and it was an extremely tight fit in the garage. Pool was the best. Always clean and not overly crowded most of time. Hated to leave. Only about three miles from Costco. Grill no longer on lanai but there are grills in the pool area for use.

This property made our vacation! It had all the creature comforts set in paradise. My husband and I were able to work with no issue- the townhome had several comfortable spots to set up a laptop. I preferred the downstairs lanai but there is a huge den with a desk to set up if you want a more permanent place to keep your office. Wifi was great, steps away from the pool and hot tub. The kitchen was better stocked than our own! It had everything from Tupper ware to a mixer- was able to cook our regular meals without a thought. The property manager was quick to respond. The garage is split so was difficult to park a Chevy Traverse (3 row) but smaller cars should not have a problem at all. The home had everything we needed to have a great vacation: near the beaches and nice places to eat, quiet friendly community and shops. There is a train that stops right outside the ice cream shop that we called an "ice cream train", check it out if you like trains or have kids, was a nice way to spend the afternoon. The Lagoon by Aulani was perfect for enjoying the calm waters. I set up in their area and no one asked any questions about if we stayed there or not. The Poke Bowls at the Cafe in the Aulani hotel were out of this world. You must try all the fish you can in Hawaii- its amazing!

We are from the islands. Since some of us live on the mainland, we decided to reunite with family still living here so we rented Dave’s place. Being familiar with the area, we thought the location was perfect. Being close to the highway and walkability to the lagoons, made the location very convenient.
Every one we dealt with responded quickly. All of our questions were answered in a very timely manner and the maintenance folks were very friendly and thorough.
The condo was clean and we loved spending time on the lanai. It was very comfortable for 6 people. The kitchen was very well stocked with every thinkable gadget you could possibly need.
Parking is limited to only garage parking so if you have more than 2 cars, it’s a struggle.
Overall, we enjoyed so much about the condo and hope to rent again soon!

The location cannot be beat! Although our stay started with us cleaning about 8 hours of “deeper” cleaning like sliding door curtains with major food stains, bathroom and kitchen rugs (you could feel the grossness on your feet), grime on stair banisters and some blood stains on a door (so we cleaned all the doors) and cleaned water stains and dust on blinds then organized the cabinets . Once we did that we felt like we could move forward! The walls still could use a good wipe down and a fresh coat of paint.
We were 2 hours delayed to check in due to a late check out and cleaners were I’m sure doing their best with a few hours between a check out and check in which did not give us the 24 hour covid promise between guests.
Staff, however, was super great to work with and did get us whatever we needed. We did buy an electric pancake griddle and left it for those to follow.
The condo has a wagon, 4 chairs, toys, beach sand toys, umbrellas, etc. those were great to have. There is a pack n play and sheet. We discovered the two twin beds can be strapped together for a king snd that was great!
The condo pools. Just know that no kids or adult floaties can be used. You cannot jump in the pool. They have cameras and will come and talk to you. They are beautiful pools and very well maintained. Our grands loved the bigger pool with the sand entrance. We just had to remind them to not jump in which is fine.
We really enjoyed our stay! We hope those that stayed after us enjoy our extra cleaning 😀

The little dirt devil is very undesirable for cleaning the size of the condo. Should update to something a little bit bigger. Upon arrival air conditioner was out of Freon and the condo was 95 degrees. Management said to go to Home Depot get fans and would reimburse. Having fans would only circulate the hot air. Master toilet leaked. All was fixed the following late afternoon. Jeb the maintenance guy was great and even followed up with us that night to make sure everything was working. Had to replace the batteries in the TV remotes. FOB for pool would not work had to go to the management office at the Coconut Plantation to get it activated. It is a nice place but regular maintenance should be performed before next renters arrive.

This was a great place to stay especially if you have children staying or visiting. It was very close to beach entry pool, easy walking distance to shops, lagoons and restaurants. It was away from the hectic noise and nature of downtown Honolulu. Easy driving distance to sights and numerous beaches and parks. We couldn't fault the location or appropriate nature for our extended family vacation.
I would say the appliances could use updating soon, but were functional. The bedspreads were showing significant wear and could use updating soon, one had small 3 cornered tear on queen size, and the king had mysterious white marks in a few spots. Twin bed spreads also had some oily marks. In general the place could use a layer of paint, and retiling of masterbath shower. Floors were a bit gritty when we arrived and sweeping helped, but the Dirt Devil floor vacuum was laughable as it didn't pick anything much up even after emptied. Again we resorted to sweeping with broom.
We enjoyed the lanai and its furnishings, it was super comfy. The barbecue was great and a fantastic adjunct to cooking inside. Lots of beach accessories, toys and the wagon were another advantage for families. All in all the entire family enjoyed the stay despite the consistent 90 degree temps and more than 60% humidity. We were unable to reset the air conditioning, and thus used the ceiling fans consistently, it was a life saver. The thermostat was programmed for 76 degrees and never moved despite attempts to adjust it. It wasn't worth calling anyone for, as when you came in from 90 degrees it was comfortably cool.
I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to depart the hectic nature of the city, well worth it.

It had all of the little things you thought you might need and more. Opening doors and drawers had us thinking, ‘Huh, we’ll that’s convenient!’ We had so much fun at Gecko’s and we were able to quickly feel at home. The location was beyond perfect - to shops, restaurants, lagoons, pools, and sunsets. Couldn’t have been better. My family had a terrific time and we were sad to leave. The unit was just what we needed. I would give this property 4 1/2 stars if I could figure out how. Loved the location next to the Lagoon Pool. Suggest shower walls and sinks be cleaned and rust around the faucets removed. The cold faucet on the left in the master bath keeps running if you turn it off all the way. We bought a new griddle (pans and griddle were warped and we could not make pancakes) and left it in the unit.
Thanks for the little red wagon to haul items to the beach. There were only three very old beach towels so we bought our own. We could have used more instruction on how to use the Smart TV.

I grew up in Hawaii and came home for my picture-perfect Hawaiian wedding with family and friends. Gecko'z South Sea Bungalows were the perfect retreat for my new husband to be and I and our two close friends as we prepared for our wedding week in paradise. The place is infused with the Aloha spirit.
We all loved the Hawaiian home the minute we opened the front door! Greeted with warm woods, striking tapa print pattens and a spacious living area, we couldn't have been happier.
The attention to detail in each room captures the spirit of the Hawaiian Islands - Gecko's stunning handcarved artwork and personal art collection gives the bungalow a true local vibe. This is not your typical tropical unit.
Gecko and his wife Ailie are the most gracious hosts, answering every question, suggesting favorite haunts and providing a luscious, luxe Hawaiian retreat.
The property is perfectly located in Ko'Olina. My husband to be and I walked to the beach each morning stopping by at the best coffee place in town - Island Vintage Coffee. We found everything we needed at the Island Market from alcohol - deli food - souvenirs. And don't miss having breafast in the mini mall across the street at Eggs and Things.
A perfect day is jumping on the bungalow bicycles and cruising the beach lagoons and marina.
We are grateful they shared their island home of aloha wih us and we're making plans to return soon!

She has very recently updated the appliances and some furniture. Condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. This is our 4th winter in Hawaii but first in Coconut Plantations, it’ll now be our first choice!

Alie & Gecko are the most gracious hosts for their beautiful property! We loved our stay at the South Sea Bungalow. The condo was very clean, spacious, up to date, with comfortable beds and stocked with everything we needed. My kids appreciated the smart tv and pools, and my husband and I, really enjoyed the Hawaiian art, fresh flowers, and tropical theme throughout the condo. The grounds around the complex are meticulously kept with palms and tropical plants throughout. At night you will hear nothing but natural ambient sounds that will lull you to sleep only to be awoken in the morning by the birds singing. Lastly, you cannot beat the location. We love the Ko Olina area. From this condo, you can walk to the shopping center where you will find lots of shops, a variety of restaurants, an art gallery, a coffee shop, a small market and an ice cream parlor. You can also easily walk to the beach, the lagoons and the Paradise Cove Luau (the best luau on Oahu). The water park is also a short drive from here. We cannot say enough good things about this property and it's friendly and accommodating owners. We feel lucky to have found this little gem. Alie & Gecko; Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at Thu's condo for the month of November. The weather was the best we have ever had in Hawaii. The condo was generously large and very clean. The view of the pool from the balcony was great, just like in the pictures. The location to everything in Ko Olina is one of the outstanding features because everything is within walking distance. Coconut Plantation's grounds are very well kept and the maintenance guys do a great job. Two car garage in definitely a plus. We will return in the future. One thing the condo could use is a new stove.

We had a fantastic time here. Plenty of room, our king bed was amazing, 2 pools/ 3 hot tubs for our 3 year old, nestled away from the businesses but close for walking to the beach/ restaurant/abc store.(No nightlife like Waikiki ;) Totally fine with us, as we were on a family trip!) There are also some toys & snorkels, a couple chairs & boogie boards, etc- check out the box in garage before buying any beach toys! The managers were also very helpful in getting us an extra set of keys due to our situation. There is a workout center that you can buy a card to (keep it for if you come back) & they have an assortment of classes that we made use of- yoga, paddle boarding, SUP yoga, rolling, etc.
Like someone else noted, we give this property a thumbs up, but wish to hide it away so we can return soon & have it available :) Loved it, & plan to be back!

My husband and I came to Oahu to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. This beautiful condo in the Coconut Plantation neighborhood of Ko Olina was the perfect place for us and our children and grandchildren who joined us. It is well appointed and has all the comforts of home. The community pool is across the street and was a huge success with everyone. The beach lagoons, shopping, restaurants, and even the Disney Resort is all within walking distance. Maria, our property contact, was always quick to respond and kind and helpful. I don’t think we could have found a more perfect setting in which to make such wonderful memories.
