Kuhio Shores 316, a one-bedroom condo, sleeps four and sits about 30 feet from the Pacific, with Lawai Beach steps away. Inside, every room has an ocean view, air conditioning, and the comfortable space a couple or small family needs after a full South Shore day. Your stay includes membership at Poipu Beach Athletic Club, with a cardio room, weight pavilion, pool, waterslide, hot tub, sand-bottom kiddie area, tennis, pickleball, basketball, shuffleboard, yoga, and water aerobics. Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach are a short drive away, and Kukui'ula is nearby for meals and groceries. Please note that the Kuhio Shores building has an upcoming exterior painting project that may affect some reserved dates. Come for the reef, stay for the rare front-row view.
The Space:
Set about 30 feet from the Pacific, this 850-square-foot third-floor condo brings coastline views to the lanai and ocean views to every room. The one-bedroom plan sleeps up to four with a plush bedroom and living-room pullout. Open windows welcome the trade winds and ceiling fans, while air conditioning adds another option. The kitchen and living room make an easy place to regroup between beach and club days.
Guest Access:
Guests at Kuhio Shores enjoy access to the oceanfront communal pool, hot tub, and fitness center, plus lush garden grounds throughout the complex. An elevator and disabled parking spot make getting around easy, and the beachfront setting puts sand and surf just steps from your lanai. Accessible-height beds and toilets are available for added comfort.
The Neighborhood:
Kuhio Shores sits on Kauai's sunny South Shore beside Lawai Beach, where the reef, surfers, and passing sea life make the shoreline part of the day. Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach are a short drive for sandy swimming and family beach time. Head toward Kukui'ula for groceries, restaurants, and a farmers market, or wander nearby Prince Kuhio Park. This is Poipu for guests who want to wake up close to the water, then explore at their own pace.
Getting Around:
Lihue Airport is about 30 to 40 minutes away, a pretty drive across Kauai's south shore. A rental car is recommended to reach Poipu's beaches, Koloa town's shops, and nearby dining with ease. Old Koloa Town is walkable for boutiques and restaurants, while beautiful beaches are just a short drive away. Parking is generally available on site or in small lots around town.
Other Things to Note:
** Please note: Pool closure at Poipu Beach Club. - Repairs are set to begin on Wednesday, September 9th and slated to be completed approximately 4 weeks later in mid-October. - Recreational areas will still be open (Games on the lawn, Restaurant will be open, fitness center & Sports court) **Please be advised that the exterior spalling project is underway and may affect guests staying in the impacted units. Project Schedule Duration: First week of August through the end of September. Work began on August 3 with the 09 stack (Units 109, 209, 309, and 409) and will continue sequentially through the 19 stack (Units 119, 219, 319, and 419). If the project progresses ahead of schedule, work may also begin on the Bayside stacks (Units 101–108), including: 01 stack: Units 101, 201, 301, and 401 Through 08 stack: Units 108, 208, 308, and 408 During construction, guests may experience: • Construction noise during daytime working hours (8am - 4pm) • Dust and debris associated with exterior concrete repairs. Wonderful location and incredible views. The space was clean, comfortable, and well equipped to cook and truly feel like home.The host was extremely responsive. For example, the propane grill in the common area ran out of gas. We sent a quick text and it was up and running within the hour. Even though it was a shared amenity, they handled it immediately.The gym pass was a great bonus. Definitely try the cold plunge. First rate amenities all around.

The condo ws in good shape and condition when we arrived. Furniture and appliances were in great shape and the condo had more than adequate towels, toilet paper, soap, sheets, blankets, fans and beach amenities. The housekeeping needs to do a more thorough job cleaning. One of the cabinets next to the bed still contained the previous occupants dirty underwear and socks in it so the housekeepers missed it by not bending down to look. I even sent a picture.

Oceanfront for reasonable price! Nice area, next to highly rated Beach House restaurant and small beach. Elevator! This owner included pass for nearby athletic facility w pool, tennis, etc. Great decor - kind of teahouse meets Bali. Very nicely-equipped kitchen. Clean grill in parking lot.Comfy bed and couch. Two TVs. Wish list: bigger TV, with more flex for adding the streaming apps we use. (Admittedly shameful to watch TV while in Hawaii 😊). Excellent communication from Vacasa.

The property is located with spectacular view of the Pacific. The calming sound of the waves was extremely therapeutic and relaxing, which is what you want on vacation. Great dining around the corner at eating house 1849 ,La Spezia Italian ,And the tasting room. The unit is very beautiful and clean. The bathroom was small and the mattress could be updated. Other than that I would highly recommend the unit.

The rental did not indicate that the balcony would be fully occupied by a paint crew. We rented specifically for the balcony and couldnt utilize it. Photos attached, pretty dissapointing. This was after we were unable to get in our room. Access code didnt work, the issue wasnt fixed during our stay.Location was great.

The unit was impeccable and view unparalleled. Just the right amenities and super comfy king bed. Loved being able to make dinner on the grills downstairs or pop over to the Beach House for cocktails. Better view than any restaurant. Turtles, dolphins and eels just below. Thanks!

We had everything we needed for our one week stay in Kauai. The kitchen is well stocked with tools and equipment. We found everything very clean and well maintained. From the lanai we loved watching surfers and turtles feeding in the surf. Great week!

As a person who does a lot of research for vacations, I know how important reviews are. I promise you won’t regret booking this condo unless you don’t like to see or hear the ocean! We spent every morning on the lanai watching surfers and the evenings on the grassy lawn watching the sunset.

We are on the plane headed home and so sad to be leaving Kauai and this wonderful condo. We wanted a place where we could wake up every morning to see the turtles feeding and hear the waves crashing while we drank our coffee and this condo was just that! The view was amazing! It was completely stocked with everything we could need. We loved our stay here and will be back!

The condo was perfect! It is spacious and clean, the kitchen is well stocked, the bed is comfortable and the view is amazing! It's in a great location, close to shops and restaurants. We visited Wailua Falls and Waimea Canyon, both were so beautiful! And we had dinner next door at The Beach House our last night, it was expensive, but worth it because of the food, service and view! I highly recommend this condo and I hope to be back!

I have stayed here two times now and will return again. You can’t beat the location and the condo is well appointed and comfortable. The combination with the access to the athletic club is perfect. The club has a great pool, restaurant and activities that I enjoyed. Especially a tennis clinic! It’s very close by and perfect! Thank you for sharing the space and I enjoyed my time in paradise.
