10/10! We would absolutely stay here again! The condo was clean, communication with host and check-in was seamless. There were teas, coffee, and cookies set up for us; and ahead of checking in we were sent tips for caring for the condo and ideas for things to do around town. Despite being in a large condo complex, the area is very quiet, the patio was very peaceful in the mornings while drinking our coffee. Only a 5 minute walk to some shops and restaurants!

Perfect location. Less than 5 minute drive to Poipu beach. Restaurants, shops, small local market, food trucks, and shave ice stand one block away.
The villas were quiet. The stream behind this condo was a nice surprise.
Kitchen was very well stocked with utensils, dinnerware, cookware, and appliances.
Fantastic set of beach gear, and rain gear (ponchos and umbrellas).
Bed was firm, which we really really appreciated. The sofa bed in the living room was very cushy, which our 8 year old liked.

We returned to our favorite property in Poipu to find it just as we had come to expect, everything perfect. This is the ideal place for a couple to enjoy the south shore of Kauai. Don’t hesitate to give this lovely ground floor condo a try. The owners are pleasant to work with and very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and comfortable. We do wish the AC in the main room worked a little better since it was pretty warm and humid. They did have 2 tower fans we used which did make it comfortable though. It would have been nice to also have a TV in the bedroom, but not a big deal. I do recommend this place and would return again.

We love our stay in Poipu and had an excellent time staying in the VRBO. Our hosts went above and beyond with communication, suggestions, and comfort. We liked having AC throughout the unit because we had an infant and enjoyed the king size bed. Only one downfall was the neighbors above us were loud and aggressively stomping throughout the night, but other than that we had a blast! The condo was the perfect location and we loved the pool as well! Thanks again!

Evie is a gem, lovely lady. The property itself is beautiful. We did not rent a car but were able to walk or take a bus to anywhere we wanted to go. The grounds are lush and the pool is really nice. We were very impressed with the unit itself. Super spacious, everything, literally everything, we needed was there. The rooms are large, the furnishings were beautiful and for the first time on a vacation I can say the bed was actually very comfortable. We are already planning our next trip and Ed and Sharon’s will be our first choice!

My wife and I have stayed in many places on the island of Kauai, and we often worry about staying in Poipu due to the crowds, but this location was perfect. The ground floor entry among lush landscaping and the sound of a stream feels tropical and private. The inside of the rental is completely spotless. The kitchen has everything a person could need in an organized way and great appliances. In fact, the whole place feels updated with great counters, faucets, bedroom furniture, and so on, and it feels big compared to many places we have stayed. Communication with the hosts was amazing! They sent along tips before we even arrived, and the unit includes a booklet with more helpful tips. Outside the unit, it's clear that they put a lot of effort into the greenery. The whole condo community is nestled into tall trees and lush foliage. The pool was heated, and we mostly had it to ourselves when we used it. Walking to sandy Kiahuna beach is about ten minutes down a relatively quiet road, but we also enjoyed walking the other way to the shops at Kukui'ula for happy hour or just picking up some souvenirs. It's also just a two to three minute drive to most of Poipu's top locations without having to be stuck in the middle of the busiest areas. It was definitely a gem of a location and a well-appointed, comfortable unit. We loved it.

We were 100% happy with our stay. The condo is beautiful, big and very clean. Kitchen has everything we needed, the beach stuff was so convenient and nice to have. The AC worked great. The property grounds were gorgeous and the pool was really nice. We LOVED the location. this unit comes with a wide selection of beach gear, no need to bring anything from home — they provide everything you might want! We enjoyed the pool every afternoon & walked to dinner every night. The complex is quiet & peaceful (no loud neighbors, except for the chickens 😆). And there is plenty of parking for the rental car. The unit was clean and spacious with comfortable furniture and a firm mattress (thank you!!!). We felt very at home for our romantic getaway!

What a perfect place to stay in Poipu!! We stayed for half a trip in Kauai (6 nights) and absolutely loved the unit. It was walking distance to great food and conveniences like grocery stores, many options of shave ice, and minutes to some really beautiful beaches. The unit has everything that you would need. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances and pots/pans/plates were in perfect condition. The cupboard of beach stuff was amazing!! We had everything we could possibly need: beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, coolers and amazing microfiber towels that dried quick and we're easy to pack. I would gladly stay at this unit again and will gladly recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for the perfect stay.

This place is prefect and you should absolutely stay here. BUT, be aware of the roosters. Roosters and chickens are the pigeons of Kauai. They are EVERYWHERE. And the roosters don't wait until sunrise to crow; they will crow all day and all night long. The only bad thing about this condo is that there are no glass windows; they are only screens and jalousies. So they do absolutely nothing to keep sound out (or in). So the very first night we were there there were roosters RIGHT outside the bedroom crowing at midnight, and 3:00 AM, and 5:30 AM... They are impossible to ignore. The hosts suggested turning on the air conditioner to drown out the sound, but the AC is really quiet. It did absolutely nothing to help. We had to go buy earplugs at Walmart to survive the week (which are not very comfortable to sleep in).
Now, you have to realize that the roosters are everywhere on the island, so staying somewhere else wouldn't remedy the situation (maybe the fancy resorts shew the chickens off their property, but they are far too expensive). Don't let this deter you from staying here; just plan accordingly. (One other note, there are walking pathways all around the condo complex, including very near the bedroom. Sounds from inside the bedroom would be very audible to someone walking by...)
Otherwise though the condo is perfect. It's very clean, has everything you need (we used the snorkels, cooler, and beach bag a bunch!), and is in a fantastic location. It was also one of the best prices we found. The landlords communicate well and promptly. I would absolutely stay there again.

If you like to sit on the patio and not see people walking by with in 5 ft. this is for you. Really don't see much foot traffic in the complex. It is hidden in great tropical plants. Yet, it is walking distance to wonderful shopping and a park. TGhe back gate gets you to a lovely snorkel landling. We have used this great setting 2 times and we will be back. We have over the years 20. stayed in 25 different locations this is the most like home.

This condo is meticulously maintained and there are so many little conveniences of home. There is a closet with lots of beach towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs - it’s so nice to have those things to use, so you don’t need to purchase anything for one-time use. We took a garden tour and it looked like it may rain so I grabbed 2 ponchos from the closet, just in case. We didn’t end up needing them, so I just put them back. I just appreciated having them and not needing to buy them! The home is upgraded throughout with fans, a/c units, lovely furnishings, granite countertops, tile flooring. There are lots of great notes and information provided by Ed & Sharon, so there is no learning curve on what’s in the condo and how to use it. Would stay here every single time we visit (which I hope is soon again!)

Sharon was gracious in allowing us to check in early. We had to vacate our Princeville condo at 10 am and had food which needed refrigeration.
Their condo was clearly designed, furnished, and well stocked to make your vacation easy and comfortable. I especially like the umbrella dryer which allowed us to save energy and air dry clothes. We did use the very quiet AC when sleeping and that was much better than our noisy Princeville condo. We received their guidelines (very reasonable) to keep the condo running smoothly and well maintained. It was convenient to snorkeling locations which was one of our main activities. This condo is located conveniently to the beach and shopping. But the feeling at the facility is one of peace and seclusion. The grounds are of mature vegetation and trickling books with koi. We’ve been visiting Kauai regularly since 2013. This property is easily the best rental we’ve had on the south side. Very clean and spacious with great amenities. We’re a family of three, so the pull out couch was perfect for us.
No need to rent beach gear from local shops. This property has multiple boogey boards and snorkel sets, a pair of folding beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and coolers. There’s even a plastic shoe box filled with golf balls for those inclined to hit the links.
The property is conveniently located within walking distance to shops and dining. Poipu Beach is a quick drive away. Sheraton/Kiahuna Beach is within walking distance but also a quick drive away.
Overall we had a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

The condo located in a tropical garden setting has beautiful furnishings. The kitchen has complete matching new utensils, pots and pans, and unique clear glass plates and matching glassware. It is stunningly new and modern. Lanais on both sides are very pleasant and particularly the one facing the river is always welcoming chickens. If it were on the ocean it would be a plus. However the KOA tree canopy over the parking lot is the most memorable part of the entire complex. It is magnificent.

The grounds are mature, with huge old trees, tropical foliage, stream through the property. This unit is convenient to parking, but far enough away to be quiet. Also, it is ground level, so front/back Lanai open onto the yard. Our hosts were very accommodating. Wonderful location, close to beach and shops and restaurants. Overall, a top flight rental.

The place is very nice and clean. It's close to the beach you can walk to and there a number of great restaurants in the area. The owners are very quick to reply to questions or concerns.
The only issues we had was connecting to the wifi that neither I or the owner could figure out but this wasn't a problem for us. Besides that this is a great place to rent for your vacation and I would stay here again.

We had a great stay at Ed and Sharon’s property. Sharon was in touch before our stay and provided recommendations for the area. It was a comfortably sized condo for me and my husband with space to relax, and the kitchen had ample space for when we wanted to cook. It was quiet and private - I was able to practice yoga on the lanai without disturbance - but still a great location. We were able to walk to Sheraton, Poipu, and Lawai beaches, and multiple restaurants nearby. The shaded parking lot and sunny pool were also a plus. Highly recommended!

My husband and I loved our stay here, Ed and Sharon were very thoughtful hosts! The condo is spacious, extremely clean, and has everything you need to fully enjoy Kauai. The condo comes with (very nice!) beach chairs, an umbrella, coolers, bug spray/sunscreen, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, beach towels, noodles etc. to use. The kitchen was stocked with basic supplies, spices, and condiments. The king bed was extremely comfortable (always a plus!), and it was so nice to have a washer/dryer to use in the condo! The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. The condo complex has an amazing pool and is centrally located to beaches, shops, and food. The only possible negative is that there is no A/C and it can get a little hot and humid during the day in the summer. However, the condo has plenty of fans so it was not bad at all! Would definitely stay here again!

This property has everything vacationers need for fun and relaxation. There are beach chairs, coolers, boogey boards, noodles and snorkeling gear. It is a beautiful, large condo with lots of space. The front and back patios overlook beautifully landscaped areas. Good sized pool with plenty of space.
As pleasant as our experience was there were at least five hot and humid days, with no trade winds, that were uncomfortable even with extra fans. We regretted not getting an air conditioned unit.

I chose Ed & Sharon's condo based on the reviews, and the pictures and detailed descriptions. I was looking for a walk in shower, nice kitchen, outside lanais, ground floor, corner unit, spacious uncluttered rooms. It exceeded my expectations! Beautifully furnished, comfortable bed and pillows, kitchen with everything needed, even good spices and condiments, tile floors, fabulous shower, everything for the beach,( yes, we got sunny beach days) free North America and local calling. The larger lanai was covered, good thing, as it rained some most days (and nights) and the other smaller lanai was always wet. But loved sitting under cover watching the (warm) rain on the huge banana tree leaves and tropical plants, very private. Beautiful pool area, clean BBQ,s, tropical gardens throughout. But what made this stay special was the connection with Ed & Sharon, a call at home when we booked the condo, welcome card, pineapple and macadamia nuts, and when I was having trouble connecting my Ipad to the wifi, my call was immediately returned and Ed sent someone over right away to fix the problem. Ed and Sharon truly care about making sure their guests are happy in their condo!

The only thing we could have used during some of the more humid days was air conditioning, but the fans did help some. Location is great as it is within walking distance to one of the nicest malls on the island with shops and good places to eat, grocery store, and drug store. Beaches are within a few minutes drive. Easy drive to both ends of the island for day trips . Property is very quiet and private and great to sit on the patio and listen to all of the sounds of the different birds that visit every day. The property is amazingly maintained, with a quaint patio that is perfect for reading in a bit of shade. The pool was also great, it is a fresh water pool and was a nice way to start off a morning in the heat.
Ed and Sharon are phenomenal hosts and provided tons of information about local things to do during my travels. I booked my trip fairly last minute, and they were extremely accommodating and kept in contact with me up until my departure.
The property is in Koloa in the Poipu area, which is absolutely beautiful and filled with beaches. It was a quick trip over to both poipu and shipwrecks. I didn't spend a significant amount inside the property, as I was regularly out hiking, but the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, has a coffee maker that was used regularly by myself, and is an amazing size. The lack of air conditioning was not an issue, as the fans they had worked surprisingly well at keeping me cool. The best was also very comfortable.
All in all, I fell in love with both Kauai and this property. I am already trying to plan my next trip back here, and I plan on booking with Ed and Sharon again.

The condo was clean, beautifully renovated, and well stocked. The complex has a lovey pool and nice grounds for walking (keep a close lookout for tiny and adorable island creatures). It is peaceful and quiet even though swimming and shopping are only walking distance. Everything in the condo is easy to find and operate due to the owners helpful instruction notebook. My husband and I enjoyed our honey moon in Kauai...this great condo was a total plus!

Poipu is the best part of the island to stay at, close to great restaurants, shopping, beaches, golf and much more. The condo is very nicely finished, extremely clean and well kept and spacious for a 1 - bedroom. We enjoyed our stay very much and would most certainly go back on our next visit to Kauai. The island of Kauai is simply beautiful.

Kauai was beautiful, enjoyed snorkelling and other tours such as Waimea Canyon, nature reserve and lighthouse. Ate at some of the food trucks while the chickens trotted by. Restaurants did not disappoint! Condo was beautiful, spacious, beds were comfortable and a lovely place to stay. The pool was very quiet and clean. Enjoyed the walk around the condo looking at the koi and beautiful, unusual flowers. Shopping was great, loved all the quaint little towns on Kauai. Mahalo Ed and Sharon 🌴

Wonderful location. Very quiet, relaxing and far away from the crowds, but close to great restaurants and shopping centers and all activities. Nice walking paths and beaches close by. We appreciated the very clean and well equipped home and atmosphere.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay in this lovely condo. It is well furnished and decorated. It is well stocked with
kitchen and bath supplies. We didn't use the beach amenities as the weather wasn't good enough to spend time on the beach but it appeared there was everything available you could want. We felt like we were at home!
The condo is near Kola town which we enjoyed. Also very easy starting point for all our travels around the island.
There are a couple of nice shopping centers nearby and many good restaurants to eat at. Really a perfect location. If we go back to Kauai we will definitely stay here!!

The condo was a perfect place to stay and enjoy our 1st trip to Kauai. It was spotless and beautiful, and had everything we needed to enjoy our time and to come back to in the evening. Also, close to a nice shopping & eating area we could walk to. We plan on returning!

Ed and Sharon's condo is beautifully appointed and well supplied. They left a gift of a pineapple and macadamia nuts, which we very much appreciated. The bed is very comfy, and all the appliances are new - simply wonderful! There is lots of beach equipment available for the use of guests, though we didn't have much time to spend on the beautiful beaches. There is no air conditioning, which was only an issue because it was so hot at the end of September, but the fans combined with jalousie windows get things cooled off pretty quickly. The gardens surrounding the condo are lovely, with many blooming plants that we don't see on the mainland. The location is great and afforded us ample opportunity to see what we could of Kauai in the short time we had there. We would love to return to the island some day, and we will definitely check to see if this condo is available!

The condo was very clean and up to date convinces! Ed and Sharon were very quick to answer any questions and very helpful. It is located in a very nice area with a farmers market and several restaurants ranging from burgers to upscale food. It's a great place with great location to beaches and other activities. Highly recommend this condo!!!!

My husband and I made our first trip to Kauai and stayed in Ed and Sharon's condo. It was beautiful. The location is outstanding, close to restaurants and beaches. There was no air conditioning in the unit but there were fans available to help keep cool. We loved the pool/barbecue area on site. Ed and Sharon made us feel welcome. We loved the amenities that they had in the condo for our convenience. It was just an all around wonderful experience, we really enjoyed our time in Kauai.

My wife and I enjoyed We really enjoyed our stay in Poipu. We started our stay by coming a little early - we realized that we were checking in a few hours early as we walked through the door. But the woman who was cleaning the apartment was so kind and let us drop off our bags and even take some great beach gear to Poipu Beach. We knew then that Ed and Sharon are focused on ensuring their guests have a great experience.
Poipu is a great "home base" for a stay in Kauai. It's such a great option for those looking to explore the island and this condo is within five minutes of multiple shopping centers and a great beach. The condo has a fantastic kitchen and a fun pool just down the parking lot. We would definitely stay again.
As a few have said, it does get warm, but we used the fans thoroughly and it helped. If you get very uncomfortable in the heat, this may not be the place for you, but we really enjoyed it. Thanks so much Ed and Sharon!

My wife and I stayed at Ed and Sharon's island home on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! The condo was clean, spacious, and well furnished. Ed and Sharon have clearly put a lot of thought into the place and provided a number of amenities for us to use including beach towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, and a rolling cooler we could take to the beach. We loved the location of the condo and that it was a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. It was warm in the condo at night since there was no air conditioning, but the ceiling and floor fans helped keep the temperature reasonable. Additionally, I think the weather may have been unusually hot and humid when we visited based on some of our conversations with the locals. That said, the quality of the condo combined with Ed and Sharon's hospitality make this place an easy choice. If we ever make it back to Kauai, we will stay here again!
