We have stayed in Kamaole Sands many times and this was by far the best condo we've stayed in. The unit itself was beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and up to date, renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen itself was very well equipped with lots of pots and pans, cutlery, plates, baking sheets, etc to make using the condo very easy and seamless.
The location of the unit in Building 7 was also great as it has a great view, nice breezes to keep the unit cool, and close walk to the beach.
Susan was an excellent host with great communication, ensuring that our stay was great. Would highly recommend this unit.

This recently renovated home is conveniently located across the street from a fantastic beach to swim or watch the sunset from. The home had everything we needed including a cooler, beach chairs and umbrella to make our beach trips enjoyable. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and taking walks in to town in the morning. I would highly recommend this property and we’ll be back again soon!

We had a great time at Kamaole Sands Resort. We've been at this resort in the past and have never been disappointed. This unit was in a great location. It was clean and furnished with all our needs. The kitchen looks newly remodeled and was done very well.
We encountered a situation during our stay (unrelated to the actual unit or our satisfaction itself). Our hostess, Susan, was amazing. She was very responsive and showed sincere empathy and concern. We highly recommend this property and this hostess.

Our stay was great! Susan was very quick with answering questions begore our stay. The property has beach chairs, beach toys for kids, snorkeling equipment boogie boards. The kitchen is fully stocked including seasonings! The property was clean and came with a shark vacuum which I appreciated to keep the floors clean since I had a 7 month old crawling around. The ac in the bedroom is loud but it helped my baby sleep like a dream and I did too!

This was our fourth visit to Maui and stay at Kamaole Sands. This was by far the best unit we’ve stayed in! The others were good as well but this unit was designed with an open concept and updated kitchen, which we loved, it really felt like home. We also had the use of any outdoor gear we needed: boogie boards, skim boards, snorkeling gear and plenty of chairs for our entire family…and golf clubs! My husband loved that. Our host was quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Would definitely recommend staying in this unit and we look forward to our fifth visit next year.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands. The renovated kitchen was wonderful and very well stocked. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom renovation was well done. The bedroom air conditioner is loud , as others have noted, but we got used to it and not a real problem. Susan was very easy to deal with and prompt with her responses. We really enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay again. Mahalo.

We stayed in Kamaole Sands building 7 hosted by Susan, and I was extremely impressed from start to finish. Check-in was smooth and seamless. The unit was clean, the kitchen well-stocked, and a surprising amount of beach gear was available in the lanai storage space (boogie boards, chars, snorkel equipment).
The property itself was beautiful and extremely well-kept. Clean BBQs were available each night. The pool and gym area were great. Tennis courts also in impeccable shape. Our lanai could be a bit bigger.
We were stuck getting a 1BR for our family of 4 which was a bit tight, and next time we'll make sure to book early enough for a 2BR.
Our experience with host Susan tops it all. She was so responsive and helpful. Prior to arriving we had asked for a cot as an extra sleeping space, and there it was on arrival with a new set of linens. We needed a plunger and messaged her on Sunday asking for one, expecting a reply the next day. However, within an hour or so a new plunger was waiting at the front door. She was also able to accommodate our request for a late checkout.
This was a top-notch vacation in a top-notch resort condo. We look forward to coming back next year.

This property delivers more than what was expected. It is a well equipped residence with beautiful grounds and easy access to a great beach and restaurants.
Slight downfall with noisy air conditioners in bedroom & main living area. You need to turn off the air conditioner to enjoy a peaceful glass of wine on the deck. Otherwise fantastic.

Wonderful stay in Susan’s condo in south Kihei. Located on the 3rd floor, the lanai had a beautiful view of the tropical gardens and famous sunsets. The condo is exactly as describe and the location was perfectly situated to take advantage of the afternoon Trade Winds. The open doors with the fan was all that was needed to keep the unit cool. The condo is fully geared up for relaxing days at the beach - umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels, and snorkeling gear. Did I mention the beach is across the street - make sure to go early the beach tends to get crowded by mid- morning.
A short walk to all that you need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - as well as a small grocery for your daily essentials and sunset cocktail hours! Also steps away many options for Maui adventures and tours or renting paddle boards and more!

Great location and great condo. Well equipped with beach supplies and all basic supplies that you could need. AC was well used but bedroom AC isn’t very powerful. Didn’t keep room that cold. But still manageable. Bed is comfy. Bring coffee as it’s something we thought might be there but wasn’t. But not expected either. Susan was easy to communicate with. I would stay here again.

We came to Maui to celebrate our 40th anniversary and were delighted to stay in Susan’s condo in south Kihei. Located on the 3rd floor, our lanai had a beautiful view of the tropical gardens and pathways. We could also see a bit of the ocean and sunsets through the trees.
The condo is even prettier than the pictures depict. It was spotlessly clean and the kitchen and master bath looked brand new. The king size bed was super comfortable, with extra pillows in the closet. The portable A/C unit in the bedroom is extremely loud so we would recommend wearing earplugs. The ceiling fan only had a low speed so not much air movement.
We loved having beach chairs, blankets, an umbrella and snorkeling gear to take to the beach. We didn’t cook any meals at the condo but the kitchen was well-equipped with nice dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and pots/pans.
The condo is located in a great location on Maui—easy access to lovely beaches and a short drive to the northern and upcountry areas of Maui. Stay here if you’re wanting to do the Road to Hana, take a helicopter tour (we highly recommend) or drive up to the peak of Haleakala, this condo is the perfect place to be.

The Condo was nice and clean. It was a bit warm, so we had to run the AC most of the time when we were in the condo. We enjoyed the beach chairs / umbrella that we took to the shoreline for an afternoon. The best thing about this condo is location - right across the street from a shoreline park where you can watch spectacular sunsets. It’s about 300 yards from door to beach.

I have stayed in Kamole Sands twice before. This condo was wonderful thanks to Susan. Excellent communication always responds quickly. The attention to detail here was excellent. I can't even begin to list all the little things available at the condo. I bought shampoo and soap which wasn't necessary it was at the condo. I forgot to buy laundry soap ...no worries it was at the condo. Everything you need in the kitchen is there. It's right across the street from the beach. Thank you Susan.

This home is lovely and accurate to the listing description. It was clean upon arrival and well appointed. The property grounds are beautiful and right across the street from the beach. There are grocery stores nearby in addition to lots of restaurants. This place is great for small families!

Fully stocked kitchen. and all the things you would need for the beach are provided. Had a very minor issue with the screen door and the owner was there in 15 minutes to fix it. Great view and the property is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

A very well decorated and maintained unit in one of the nicer properties in Kihei. Very clean and spacious with a lovely lanai to perch on with your drinks or meal. It's an ideal location in Maui for a convenient hop to a variety of beaches, restaurants, markets, and excursions to Wailea, Makena, and Paia. The host, Susan, is very friendly and responsive: we had one minor maintenance issue on arrival that she handled smoothly and lightning fast. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful well equipped condo. It is decorated beautifully, immaculate, and has everything that you need. The grounds and pool area are extremely well kept. It is a very short walk to possibly the best boogie boarding beach on Maui! Great waves every day in the late afternoon / early evening. In the morning it was fun to snorkel there too.
The photos of the unit are 100% accurate, but they still somehow don’t seem to do it justice. It looks nicer in person. The lanai has a very nice sunset view. We ate several meals on the lanai, great breakfast spot! We made good use of the cooler on several day trips. One of the boogie boards got a good workout too. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about this condo!

It had everything we needed: fully stocked kitchen including detergent and cleaning supplies, washer & dryer, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels. Great view of the garden and very short walk (5 mins or less) to the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

-great location, beach access incredibly easy
-as we entered the tight entrance, the front screen door was found to be broken (to stay open), making it difficult with luggage, groceries, baby stroller/wagon
-the screen door for the rear constantly came off the track and the lock is broken, making it extremely dangerous to leave the glass door open and enjoy the breeze with young children easily having access to the balcony
-the dresser in the master bedroom is so close to the bed you cannot sit on the bed and open the drawer, it’s difficult to gain access to your clothes, we left ours on top of the dresser, and hung as many as we could
-the AC in the bedroom is portable and very loud, you will find it uncomfortably loud to use while sleeping
-the AC in the living room is very loud also although I’m sure our 1.5 y/o didn’t mind a couple or grown child will also find it uncomfortable to use at night
-the hallway bathroom shower had extremely high pressure and appeared to have mold growing on the bottom edges
-the blinds track also constantly stuck
-we had an incident (no one’s fault) where the lock broke and a locksmith was required to fix it, the property manager/owner was very nice and addressed the situation immediately as it was very unfortunate to be left out of the condo for the majority of one evening

We needed a place to stay for 6 nights on short notice and we’re fortunate that due to a cancellation we were able to book this condo. The unit is beautifully decorated, all new appliances and equipped with everything you need. Lovely courtyard view. A special treat is Hawaiian music and hula by the pool on wednesdays. Highly recommend this condo and look forward to staying there again.

Being a local, it was wonderful to get away from home and feel like I was on vacation without having to leave the island. The apartment is spacious and simply but tastefully decorated. It felt clean and updated easy to envision staying for a week or more. The grounds are spectacularly maintained with tucked away barbecue area that see regular use by families and residents in the evenings. The community is quiet in the evenings, so if you’re looking for a place to let loose and drink or socialize with friends, then this may not be a good fit. Sound travels and the balconies are right next to one another, so it’s discouraged to create noise when you’re closer to the lanai.
The beach and a pool are a minute’s walk away. And a range of restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk down the sidewalk. It was a perfect place to really relax without feeling like I had to get back in the car and drive around again.

If there was only one suggestion, it would be to ask for small packets of sugar and dry creamer to add in for the coffee for the morning.

This condo is lovely, and way more stocked than we ever expected. There were top of the line beach chairs, beach towels, boggie boards, a cooler, even a big brimmed sun hat. The kitchen is gourmet and has all possible accoutrements. The decor made us feel at home, well done, tropically themed but not fussy. It was scrupulously clean with plenty of luxurious towels and linens. We enjoyed and frequently used the table and comfortable chairs on the lanie Maui was exquisite and it was wonderful to return from our adventures to our special home. Thank you Susan, for a lovely 50th Anniversary getaway.

Such a lovely house with great views, amazing kitchen and incredibly well appointed. Only small issue was getting the code for the side gate/pool area. That wasn't in the house info and I was told that it's because it changes all the time. However, friends who rented next door got the code with their rental and it's needed to access the pool.

The building, hallways, and doorways are showing age. It doesn’t give a great first impression. The key elements were nice - kitchen and bath, so that saves it. Nice but not as high end as the kitchen pictures make the rest of the place look.

The condo has a newer remodeled kitchen with all the equipment but no condiments. Two bathrooms and a sofa bed made the space very comfortable for us. The master bath is remodeled with a walk-in shower that was spacious. Loved how the kitchen island replaced a dining room table leaving more space for the furniture in the living room. Nice furnishings and decor. The screen door leading to the lanai needs to be replaced as it sticks and falls off the track. Key pad entry is a plus as there is no key to deal with. The Kamaole Sands resort where the condo is located is a huge place with (10) 4-story buildings, so that may be off-putting to some. That said, people seemed to adhere to the quiet hours.

The condo was really nice. Newly renovated really opened up the original floorplan. The space was very large for a one bedroom and the deck looks out over the courtyard which is lush with greenery! This condo was gorgeous! New appliances and fixtures made the place feel luxurious, it was extremely clean, and the tasteful furnishings were very comfortable. It was well-stocked and had everything I could've possibly needed to enjoy my stay. There was also a nice view of the beautiful grounds and partial ocean views from the lanai. This would definitely be the perfect space for a small family, especially with the added convenience of having 2 bathrooms. A huge plus for me was the location. It was right across Kamaole III beach park, and minutes away from a bunch of shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Also, many thanks to the property manager, Susan! She was so kind, flexible, easy to reach by phone, and responded quickly to emails. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was a happy camper, and really did make the booking process a breeze. Overall, the enjoyable interactions with Susan and the amazing accommodations made me wish I didn't have to leave ... like ever!
