The views were amazing! You could watch the amazing sunrise and the morning surfers from the balcony every morning while relaxing and drinking your morning coffee and every evening you could also watch the sunset from the balcony. We also could see turtles up by the rocks in front of the condo and whales in the distance from the balcony. There’s a tiny beach beside the condo but amazing beaches only a short drive away. We loved this condo and would love to stay here again EXCEPT for one thing…sadly the beds were truly awful! Both the master king mattress and the queen mattress in the second bedroom are old and have no support left in them whatsoever. I have back issues so it was a big issue for me but the other 3 people in my party have no back issues but had sore backs after sleeping on these mattresses. All of us had awful sleep due to these beds and the only way we could stay in this unit again is if they replaced the mattresses. It makes no sense for a high end unit like this to have old worn out mattresses, please get new ones, your condo is amazing otherwise! I feel bad even writing this but I really must worn fellow back pain people, if someone had said this before I would have looked elsewhere. So please get new mattresses and update your description saying new mattresses! Then everyone will know they can disregard this part of my review.

2nd time staying at Kuhio Shores, 1st time staying in this room, Excellent view, 2 room condo. Everything you need for an excellent vacation. Our host Jack was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Can’t get any closer to the ocean. This condo is worth ever penny. Highly recommended!

Stayed in condo for 1 week in October. Description and pictures accurate. Great communication with manager. Condo is clean and well appointed. Surfers and turtles out our lanai every morning. Air conditioning works well. Came in handy when the trade winds shut down. No hesitation on recommending this place for a stay on the south shore of Kauai.

My mother and I stayed for a wonderful week at this charming condo located on the south shore of Kauai. The location was absolutely perfect for all the activities we had planned on the island. The condo was very well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, plates, cups, etc. And it was great having plenty of leftover items in the pantry from previous guests, ie spices, sugar, tea. The unit itself was very comfortable. The living room furniture was very comfy for nights in when we wanted to relax and recharge, and the beds were very comfy. The beach accessories provided were awesome! The tommy bahama beach chairs were well maintained and easy to transport from beach to beach, plenty of beach towels too! Our favorite part of the unit was the lanai. Taking in the views of the ocean, turtles swimming by, the surf boys and surf girls ripping waves all day long, having dinner on the lanai, it was absolute perfection. We cannot wait to come back to this unit, we fell in love even more with the island of Kauai because of this special place. We will be booking here again, and again, and again!

My family has been to Kauai 8 times over the past 15 years. We have always stayed at Kuhio Shores because of the location near PK's , Brennecke's and Shipwrecks. This condo, by far, has been the most beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The views of the ocean are simply amazing. Our host, Jack, was extremely easy to work with. We had a bit of an issue with the front door lock and he helped us right away. I highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful time at this property and we will certainly return at the earliest opportunity as well as recommend it to others. The hosts were wonderful. I had questions on the day of check-in (I mistakenly missed the access details they had diligently provided to me in advance) and they responded quickly to make sure I had the information I required. The unit itself was perfect and the sound of the waves was amazing. Highly recommended.

Yep it is all it sounds like it is. The location is perfect walkable to shops and eats and even a few beaches. The condo is all about the view and the air conditioning is top notch if you are a heat wimp like myself! Try Vitality foods in Koala town. ONLY vegan eats we could find and just incredible even if you are not vegan ish at all…

Kuhio Shores is optimally situated in the Lawai Beach area of Poipu, as close to the ocean's edge as you can get. We loved seeing and hearing the surf from our lanai (and whales offshore, too!), and when you add the dining table off the kitchen with corner views on two sides, you are able to see both sunrise and sunset!
The condo was very well appointed with everything we needed, including useful coolers to take to the beach -- and even mosquito spray, which I forgot to take on a hike and wished I had! We liked that there were separate A/C units in the individual rooms—it was more energy efficient to only use what you needed in a particular space.
The only downside was that I didn't realize the unit didn't have its own washer and dryer (I didn't read the description closely enough). Coin-operated ones are conveniently available on each floor, but it would have been ideal to have had free W/D in the condo.
Communication with owner Jack was great—quick, friendly and efficient. The check-in/welcome instructions were extremely detailed and useful. He even checked in on us mid-stay to see how everything was going. We'd love to return!

Amazing to wake up to the sound of waves every morning. Fun to watch all the surfers and we enjoyed the festivities (weddings) next door. Overall, this is an outstanding location and the AC was crucial for us wimps that don't like to sweat much! Neighbors were all pleasant as well.

The views couldn't have been any better. The sunsets were stunning every day we were there. The location was perfect for us. It was far enough from the crowds of Poipu but close enough to everything else. Top-rated restaurants all within 2 minutes drive. The check-in process was easy.

Jack the owner called us to make sure we had what we needed. An absolutely beautiful property right by the ocean and next door to the Beach House Restaurant which was a fantastic treat for Happy Hour and dinner. Hearing the waves especially at night was soothing. We would definitely book this property with Jack and Dorinda again.

You would have a very difficult time finding a better view anywhere. The condo is located in a very cute little town. Being sort of a foodie I had to travel a distance of about 30 minutes or so to find restaurants with the highest ratings. But we had a rental car so that was not a big deal. During our stay the smoke detector started beeping. Jack was over to fix in 20 minutes.

We loved everything about it. Best view on the island! You can watch surfers and sea turtles all day. Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. We had a couple questions for Jack and he was quick to respond and very helpful. Looking forward to coming back!
