We enjoyed our 4 days here very much. The property is older but well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and for a smaller kitchen,very comfortable. We had a fantastic ocean view and could watch the sunrise in the morning. During the days we could see turtles in the bay below us.
Walking distance to a swimable beach, shops and dining options was great as well.

The property was as advertised and more. Nice kitchen appliances, ample comfy living room, dining area, and deck furniture. Ample bedding and pillows. Sound of the surf so comforting. Morning coffee with my crochet overlooking the water. The unit cooling off as the sun moved to the other side of the building in the afternoon. Walk around the building onto the seaside lawn for sunset. Best fish on the island literally next door! Couldn’t ask for more, and we’d love to return the next time we need a Hawaiian-style staycation from Oahu:). UOh — and we used the binoculars for bird watching at Kilauea Lighthouse Wildlife Refuge and at Waimea Canyon. Thank you to the owners for a lovely place to unwind.

Condo 404 in Kuhio Shores suited our needs perfectly. The place was well maintained, very clean, charmingly furnished and the king bed was amazingly comfortable. The views of the ocean and shoreline were lovely!
The condo’ s owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with, which made the check-in process a breeze.
The only slight downside is that Lawai road that Kuhio Shores is located on, is a pretty busy and noisy road, especially since the Beach House bar and grill is right by there. Luckily, this condo is at the opposite end of the building, away from the loud music of the bar.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and Koloa/Poipu is now our favorite area on the island!

Beautiful property. Exactly as pictured. The view is unbeatable. The constant sound of waves crashing outside was so relaxing. And the sea turtles swimming below us were amazing.
It's a quiet building in a great location. Steps to several beaches. A short drive to town, poipu beach and amazing hiking.
I can't find anything negative about it except that we had to leave... I almost cried lol.

One week was not nearly enough, there was so much to see and do. One definitely needs to spend down time sitting on the balcony watching the turtles in the little bay next door.

We had an amazing visit. The condo was so comfortable, relaxing and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to call home for a week. Checking in and out and the communication with the owner was very easy. The bed was comfortable and there was air conditioning in the bedroom. We slept great each night. We loved spending our mornings and evenings on the balcony listening to and watching the waves crash. The living room had air conditioning too, but the ocean breeze from the floor to ceiling windows was so nice, we didn’t really need it. It was also really nice having beach chairs and an umbrella to take with us to the beach. The location was perfect. It made it easy to explore every part of the island. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back and visit again. We will definitely want to stay here again.

Property was clean, great AC for those humid hot days. Centrally located to Poipu Beach, area restaurants. We watched Hawaiian Green Turtles frolic in the waters right below our waterfront condo.
As a side note, Would highly recommend making your restaurant reservations prior to arrival. Most of the well known/frequented restaurants had no walk in capacity.
Our host, Jane, was prompt with any inquiries we had. I would recommend this property to others.

Pros- This condo is in a great location, the parking is great, it has all your basic needs, the lanai gives you a beautiful view of the ocean, AC units in the living area and bed room were nice, elevator is very convenient, beach chairs and towels were available, and it is very spacious. The owner is also very responsive and responds to messages quickly!
Cons- everything is very outdated, check in instructions were a little lacking, and we could never figure out the WiFi because the code in the welcome book is different from the check in guide and the owner messaged me a completely separate one - none worked and we could’ve kept trying more but it wasn’t our biggest priority.

The location was great! Jane was so responsive and easy to communicate with. We had a few minor issues during our stay but she immediately rectified the issues. We had a wonderful stay in Kauai and the condo was perfect! Loved the view and location. We snorkeled and fished in the bay that the lanai overlooks. Also close to great snorkeling by the Beach House. The condo provided beach chairs, umbrella and coolers which was a plus!

I can't say enough about Kuhio Shores 404. The owners have absolutely thought of everything. It was immaculate, comfortable and so inviting. There was operating information for everything. No problem with anything. Watching for sea turtles from the balcony was totally relaxing and exciting. The parakeets coming to roost at night. The location is really great also. You are walking distance to The Beach House Restaurant. Also close by is Kukui Grove Shopping Center. There are restaurants, shops and Long Drugs that has a little bite of everything you could possibly need, including food items. Another favorite restaurant of ours was the Lanai. Prices were very reasonable and the food was wonderful. Again, you can't go wrong renting this little place in Paradise. Loved it!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores #404. The condo was very clean and well maintained. Basic amenities were provided to get us going which was well appreciated. The views from the 4th floor balcony were beautiful. We sat outside each evening enjoying the sights and cool breezes. The owner provided good and timely information to us prior to our arrival and everything was as advertised. I would highly recommend the owner, the unit and the island of Kauai. We enjoyed our stay at Kuhio Shores room #404. The location was easy to find and is a very convenient place to explore the south side of Kauai. Our favorite part was being able to watch the sunrise from the lanai and then walking outside the watch the sunset from the grass. The room was well equipped with cookware to prepare meals. The owners also left beach chairs, towels, coolers, and a boogie board for guest use.

We had a great experience in this extra clean, well furnished, well maintained condo. The ocean view was amazing. Turtles swam in the waters below every day. Great snorkeling at Lawai Beach next door. Close to restaurants and shopping. Poipu Beach is just a couple miles down the road. Would definitely recommend to my friends!

404 was the perfect "Home Away From Home" vacation. The condo itself was maintained beautifully and all the amenities needed were present. The view was wonderful as every morning we got the Sun and while I ate breakfast on the Lanai I watched the turtles in the cove below. We were walking distance to the two coves on either side of the location for swimming and snorkling. The big plus was the unit was air conditioned. The team at Kuhio Shores was very responsive to any requests as were the owners. Parking was no problem and its location in proximity to all the sites of the island was perfect. I would highly recommend this unit for anyone vacationing on the "Garden Island". My husband and I began our vacation staying in this fourth floor unit for a week. The place was very clean and the kitchen well equipped. The unit does have air conditioning which was very helpful during our stay. The fourth floor balcony was very private and provided a great viewing spot for the sea turtles. I mention that this balcony was very private only because we moved to a first floor unit in the same building for our second week and there was a lot of foot traffic in front of that porch. Obviously the higher up you are foot traffic can't happen, but it is something to consider when staying here because of the walking path that goes in front of all first floor units. We did not know that when we booked our second weeks stay. Another advantage of this property was the beach equipment available to use. There were two coolers, one large and one small, two lawn chairs, four beach towels, and two sand mats. These were very useful with our trips to the beach or hiking for the day. A disadvantage if this unit for me was that the bedroom did not face the ocean like our second condo did. We could not hear the water while we slept which was something I had wanted. Being on the fourth floor the unit was warm and we could not sleep with the patio doors open during the night. That might not be the case in other months, but for June it was warm. Both my husband and myself would stay here again. We had an enjoyable stay.

This is such a beautiful condo! The first thing you see when you walk in is the amazing ocean front view. Then you see the well appointed design. The furniture is so nice and comfortable! My husband and I enjoyed having our own recliner, lol. The trade winds blow thru so nicely, we hardly had to use the A/C. Seriously, this is the nicest condo we have ever stayed in! Not to mention the cleanest. We really enjoyed watching the flock of wild rose ringed parakeets that flew over every evening. There is excellent snorkeling just steps away at Lawai Beach. We really appreciated the use of beach chairs and boogie board. We purchased 2 noodles to add to the beach gear! We hate to leave, but we can't wait to come back!

We had a great time in Kauai at Kuhio Shores #404. Jane was easy to work with to book the condo. There was a mishap in that she accidentally double-booked our first night. It was remedied by her paying for our first night in another condo at Kuhio Shores, so we just had to move condos the second day. Condo 404 had a great view of the cove. We thought being able to see the road would ruin our view, but we couldn't hear any cars over the waves except for the occasional loud truck and was not a problem. We watched people fish and saw turtles in the cove. We took the beach chairs down to the lanai to watch surfers and the sunset at the beach on the opposite side of the condo (next to Beach House restaurant). The Air Conditioning was great to have on in the bedroom at night and in the main room in the mornings when the sun was shining in! The condo was as pictured - clean and comfortable and a perfect size for 2 people. We didn't cook any meals there, but it looked well stocked. They had beach chairs, beach mats, and beach towels for our use which worked out great. The condo is a great location - able to walk up to the Shops at Kukui'ula, which had several nice restaurants, shops and Longs Drugs for any incidentals. It was also close by to several nice beaches on the South Shore and not too far from the airport. The only thing we didn't like was that the balcony faced east, so the sun shined in in the mornings and it was a little too sunny and warm to sit out on the balcony before 11am, so we couldn't enjoy our breakfast out there. After 11am, the balcony was wonderful!

My husband and I recently spent a most wonderful and relaxing week at Kuhio Shores 404. This unit is a true gem - beautifully decorated, comfortably home-like, sparkling clean and so close to all the great south shore activities, shopping and restaurants. The view of the bay from the unit is really beautiful and can be seen from the living room, dining room, kitchen and, of course, the lanai. We spent so many enjoyable hours sitting out on that lanai watching all the activity in the water - turtles, snorkelers, and local fishermen (never knew there were so many different ways to catch fish!). There are 2 separate seating areas on the lanai - a high top set, where we enjoyed wine and pupus in the late afternoon, and a regular height table, where we ate most of our at-home meals. The walkway outside the front door also provides a great view. We watched the sunset from there most evenings and then, after sunset, the arrival of the thousands (literally) of bright green long-tailed parakeets. They swoop in every night from someplace west of Lawai and roost in the trees along the coast for the night. An absolutely amazing sight!! As to the unit itself, the owners have thought of everything to make their guests' stays completely enjoyable, with great attention to detail. There were so many things that we truly appreciated - a fully equipped kitchen including a drawer containing a variety of spices/herbs, a bench in the entry hall where you can sit to conveniently remove/put on shoes (Hawaiian custom is to remove shoes before entering a home); a screen door design that allows air to flow through, while still maintaining total privacy; a very comfortable bed that, along with the sound of the waves, insured deep, restful sleep; "his" and "her" recliners in the living room, a shelf unit that contained novels by various popular authors; a copy of "Kauai Revealed" for reference; a selection of CD's, including several Hawaiian music ones that we listened to numerous times, etc. There are also two air conditioning units ( one in the living room, one in the bedroom) which will be a big plus for those times when the weather gets hot. We didn't need them during our stay though, because the constant breeze was more than enough to keep us cool and comfortable. There were just so many special touches and thoughtful additions that contributed to our wonderful week in 404. We highly recommend this beautiful condo and hope to return one day!!
