Kamaole Beach Park III, located just across South Kihei Road, is one of South Maui’s best swimming, snorkeling, and sunning beaches. This luxurious and extra-spacious condo showcases a lovely view. Strolling the grounds of this low-rise property, you'll discover tropical gardens, two pools (the lower pool is heated), a pool spa, tennis courts, and barbecue areas.

Well stocked home. Everything we needed. A/C units in each room made it enjoyable. The view from the Lanai was awesome. Tastefully decorated. A214 was perfect for us. A few minutes walk across the road to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

The property is comfortable and well-equipped, but could use a little updating. Everything was in working order, however. If stairs are a problem, this is not the unit for you. The entry steps are somewhat steep, plus there is an upstairs bedroom. We are two elderly ladies who have no problem walking, but had to Uber to most places as we didn’t have a car.

Great location, amazing view. My only complaint was the limited number of dishwasher tabs and laundry soap. With a family of 4 and limited dishes we quickly ran through what we were given and had to purchase our own for more.

Beautiful view and great location and for us, those two key pieces were sufficient to overlook the dated unit. The condo was clean, but is in need of attention. We used the condos for some meals and sleeping essentially, so the "cons" listed did not detract significantly from our enjoyment. Pros: Lanai has table and chairs and a beautiful ocean view. 2-5 min walk to beaches. Spacious unit, clean bathrooms. Nice to have on site washer and dryer and plenty of towels, face clothes, dish cloths and dish towels. Some laundry and dish detergent supplied, but for those who hand wash dishes, it was far too watered down to be very useful. Nice to have "extras" of: beach chairs, beach towels, snorkelling equipment (we brought our own), umbrella (broken, but my husband was able to add a screw to make it functional), parking right outside unit. Sufficient kitchenware for simple meals i.e. we "cooked" (heated) Costco meals, so there was sufficient kitchen dishes and utensils for us, though some Tupperware pieces would be nice to put home made lunches, snacks or leftovers into when leaving for the day hiking, to beach etc. There was salt and pepper and some oil and vinegar, which I assume was left by previous renters, nonetheless, it was nice to have a few of those items stocked. There was enough TP and PT for our use. Safe for passports in the unit. Little welcome bag from Vacasa with some goodies upon arrival was a nice touch. Cons: Very outdated. Carpets need to be cleaned/replaced and furniture needs to be as well. We did not find the king bed to be comfortable and by the end of the 10 days, had sore backs. Not all outlets work, screen door off lanai broken/not functional and sign noted in July 2022 comment by Ryan H. for shutters in loft being broken and due for maintenance remains (still not useable) which detracts from privacy and light into room. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Vacasa was very reasonable with us when we had to leave the unit for pest control, providing us with a late checkout at no charge.

Great location in Kihei, right near Waialia, amazing ocean view and great beaches 5 minute walk away! Two excellent pools, BBQ spaces, well kept complex. would def stay here again. Couple minor niggles, kitchen could be better equipped (more dishes, etc), the master bed mattress could stand to be replaced (sags some on left), and unfortunately the shutters in the loft could not be closed (note on them said they are going to be repaired by maintenance). None of these very minor issues hurt our time here or would keep us from staying here again!

This condo is in a great location with an amazing view. It had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Enjoyed the "extras" like beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling equipment, cooler, etc. Kitchen had all the necessities needed and the beds were very comfortable. Great communication with Vacasa. They even called to check in on our first day to make sure everything was okay and that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for your next stay in Maui.

Lots of good beach stuff chairs, umbrellas etc. parking stall close to unit. Lots of good shower towels and beach towels. Unit does need a renovation, carpets are old, dated furniture inside and patio. Kitchen needs replacement equipment (spatulas, cups, knives, cutting boards, appliances, dishes etc). AC units leak onto Lanai. Screen doors and ceiling fans are falling apart. Few bugs inside, but to be expected in tropical climate. Some plugs don’t work. Toilets run but just had to jiggle handle. Overall for the price very good deal, but don’t expect luxury! Had a great time, Maui Kamaole is a great location and pools are great!

The photos for this unit are misleading. They make the unit look light and bright, when in reality it’s dingy. The unit is clean as far as the bathrooms and kitchen was concerned. However the carpets were filthy and felt dirty along with the sofa and recliner. The vacuum was broken. The lighting is dark (pink light bulbs in the ceiling fan!!!). The AC unit leaks water all over the lanai, so it’s constantly wet and dirty. The lanai furniture is old and stained and looks like it was repurposed from the pool years ago. The king mattress has his/her troughs. The twins downstairs are cheap, but new and firm. The kitchen is under supplied if you plan on cooking meals here. There are way too many very dull knives - we had to buy a set at WalMart to get us thru. The frying pans are thin and cheap with scratched Teflon peeling off. The majority of the coffee cups were cracked or chipped. The barware includes many juice glasses and very few regular sized drinking glasses. The dishwasher is brand new and terrific. The washer and dryer were great. The AC units kept us cool. The bedroom furniture was pretty and the drawers pulled out smoothly. We never ran out of hot water. And the view is stunning!!! This unit is functional, but very dated and a bit unclean. It does not have the love of an owner. It’s merely a rental. For the same money there are many many other terrific options at Maui Kamaole - we’ve stayed in several. We were greatly disappointed and would not recommend this unit unless the nightly cost was greatly reduced.

Condominium Rentals Hawaii is the rental agency for numerous units at Maui Kamaole. The good news is that they are likely to find an alternate unit if there are problems with the unit that you selected via Airbnb. Be aware, however, that every unit is owned individually and may not be equipped or configured like the one that you selected. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
