Here are some suggestions:
-- Include a set of instructions/helpful info about the rental, including operation of electronics, recycling, places to get groceries, restaurant recommendations, etc.
-- Add a bath mat next to the upstairs tub (as-is, the one in vanity must be moved there)
-- Add towel bars or hooks to wall(s) near the upstairs tub
-- Include more toilet tissue in the rental
-- Add soap or body wash to the upstairs tub
-- Add fan above the table in the dining area
-- Replace the circular table in dining area with a rectangular one (as-is, there's not enough room for someone to get around it if three people are seated in the chairs nearest the living room
-- Relabel the light switches that currently say "Lamps" (they didn't seem to control anything; at least, we couldn't figure it out)
-- Add a first-aid kit (maybe we missed?) Should be mentioned in the house instructions -- see first suggestion above.

Property was as described. May be the time of year but was warm even with the ceiling fans. Would not recommend for older people,we are on our 70's, as the walk leading up to the unit is steep and has several steps which make getting the luggage in the unit difficult. The pictures do not show the elevation difference between the parking area and the entrance to the unit. Great place for younger people.

Yes it's in a crater. Did not expect the long and steep walkway from parking lot to condo. I walk with a cane, was not easy. Condo itself was nice, 3 levels, more stairs, Had an issue with upstairs shower door, does not roll very well. No A/C but not needed. The outside gardens and the quiet seclusion is very relaxing.

We loved the location of this property. It was a short walk to the beach. The rest of the island was within a reasonable car ride. Restaurants nearby were excellent. We liked that there were boogie boards, chairs, and an umbrella to use on the beach. And access to the tennis court was fun for my kids.
There were a couple of minor problems with the condo that were promptly taken care of once I got in touch with the proprietor. I would definitely recommend this place for a family of four.

This stay was clean, quiet, spacious, and in a great location. Walking distance to several beaches and trails. So relaxing, I cannot say enough about it. It was the perfect place for my significant other and I, but would definitely work well for a small family, especially if you want kitchen amenities for cooking. The host was responsive to questions. We will definitely stay again in the future and will recommend to friends and family!

A beautiful home in a lovely and well maintained garden complex. This property was the perfect size for two adult couples (late 30s) vacationing in Kauai for 5 days. We were worried about not having AC, but at the end of April, the unit caught nice breezes that kept the rooms perfectly comfortable. A small portable fan would be most welcome in the downstairs bathroom, as it became uncomfortably humid and warm when showers and laundry were running with no means of circulating air with the door closed. We really appreciated the large beach towels and high quality bath towels.
I never travel without earplugs and an eye mask, and I recommend them to anyone coming here who prefers perfect darkness and silence for sleeping. I can't speak for the loft bedroom, but the main floor bedroom did let in some (not too much) light in the morning, and the sounds of birds, roosters, and critters of the (beautiful!) gardens. Come prepared and you'll sleep just fine.
The pool area is lovely - complete with 8ft pool, lounge chairs, grill, shaded tables/chairs and more stunning tropical flora. The residents we met were friendly and welcoming.
The assigned parking stall made parking hassle free, and the location of the quite community was very convenient. This was our favorite location of the places we stayed on our 3-island vacation.

The location was great for our vacation, very close to multiple beaches and restaurants. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the lanai is a plus for eating outside. The pool was better than the photos provided on the listing. We spent hours swimming, and playing ping pong and tennis with the grandkids.

Extremely disappointed. The unit has not had a good clean in months, and is very run down. Kitchen stove dirty, kettle caked in grease but still put away in the cupboard. Cutlery tray and cutlery dirty, coffee maker still had old coffee and filter in it. All plates old and crappy and not enough of them, we had to buy paper ones. All mugs, glasses, cookware, pots and pans look like they came from the thrift/second hand shop. Baseboards and doors covered in dirt, black cobwebs on the lamps. Shower floor stained, so much soap scum on the shower doors you can’t see through them, shower door handle caked in dirt. There seem to be dirt on everything. Front door lock not easy to use screen door broken, as were most of the blinds.

We loved the place. Our adult son, my husband, and I had a great week based out of the "Crater". The facilities worked well for us and the location was unique. The facilities were great and the kitchen well stocked, if you don't mind mis-matched dishes. My only complaint was the level of 'perfume' in all the linens. Too much scent in the detergent(?), dryer sheet(?) for me! I to rinse/wash some linens w/o any soap to try and get them so I could sleep. I don't think anyone would complain if their linens DIDN'T smell sickenly sweet, so why subject us to that??? UGH!

We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. It was warm even in November. The fans were great, but it was still a bit warm upstairs. There are some signs of wear like some peeling paint on the doors from humidity and a door didn’t lock, but for the price and location the house is excellent. The walk to the beach is a bit steep, but not bad. Communication was good. Overall very happy we stayed.

Nice big rental with everything you need a available. The no AC was a big concern going in, but in mid October the temperature was just cool enough at night to make it work. If it was hotter then it would def have been an issue.

We had a great time in Kauai. Poppy Crater#26 was a great location. It was central to all the beaches and spots we wanted to go. After our days out, it was always nice to come back and enjoy the lanai. We ate all our meals out there and played cards most evenings. It was nice that it was covered. We had everything we needed. Appreciated having a desisignated parking spot. Had a great time!

Other than the few comments previously shared (i.e. lack of toilet paper, soap, plates and knifes as well as not having a floor fan upstairs... )
The place was very nice although very hot at times. It is a bit of a hike to get to the beach depending on the age and shape of the people.
We enjoyed the quiet and lush environment as well as the access to the pool and the tennis court.

It's very jungley like. You can hear tons of birds and roosters. We loved it, some might not. It's a little uphill to get to the condo but not to bad. There's a pool, ping pong table and grills right outside the building. It's a short walk to the beach about 10 to 15 min. Short drive to shops and restaurants, about 5 min. We ould definitely stay there again. Uber is hard tonget around in. Rental car is strongly suggested.

Such a great place for our family of 4, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the place was very clean and organized. We enjoyed the living room area every evening, perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking or swinging at the beach. Excellent location, super close to restaurants, coffee shops, and the beach.

We all loved the Vrbo at poipu beach. It was a short walk to the beach, beautiful views and wildlife around the stay (banana and coconut trees, toads, snails, and other critters!) also close to everyone else who was staying in and around the resort. The pool is nice and warm and the condo was spacious. We did not know it didn’t have AC but it cooled down at night and had fans and was comfortable for sleeping. Additionally, the dishes could have been a bit cleaner. All in all, it was a great trip and wonderful stay at the crater.

Condo was clean and lovely. We liked that there was shampoo and conditioner in case we needed it. Location very relaxing and quiet. Pool a nice added feature. Plants around complex were interesting, banana, avacodo, limes, lemons, etc. Flowers beautiful all over. High ceilings and fans gave a lot of air movement and condo was cooled nicely. Light and airy as well as modern. We also used the beach accessories and had such a good vacation at this condo. Great location in Poipu.

Poipu crater resort was lovely small boutique resort in a tropical lush setting. The vacation rental was very spacious. We unfortunately couldn’t use the lanai to often due to it being to windy. The house was not as clean as we would have liked. Kristen took care of that. The house can do with some Tlc for the price you pay.

This was a perfect place to stay while exploring the South and West side of Kauai. The bedrooms were perfect and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was even pool and tennis court on site. We could not have asked for anything more.

This was a great spot on the south shore. It was spacious and had lots of amenities like beach gear and a box of chocolate covered mac nuts. Check in/out was completely contactless so it doesn’t get any easier than that. It doesn’t have AC and does get a little warm in the late afternoon but for the most part the air flow is very good and stays much cooler than the last place we stayed in without AC. The neighborhood was very quiet and clean, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Poipu Crater 26 had all the amenities you need for a great vacation. The pool and tennis courts were great and the patio with trade winds was a great way to enjoy morning coffee. Including all the beach toys and a short walk to great boogie boarding (Brenneckes) and snorkeling (Poipu). The hosts were super responsive to questions and immediately replaced a broken fire alarm. We had an amazing vacation and would definitely stay here again.

Crater 26 was a perfect place to stay for our getaway in paradise. It was well located, clean and comfortable. The owner and manager provided great perks, like beach chairs, towels and a cooler, pantry staples, bath products, and so much more. The beds were comfy and the kitchen and baths were nicely updated. The grounds were lush and the pool was clean and inviting. While the place was great, the manager and owner were even better. When we were inconvenienced by some unplanned landscaping maintenance issues, the owner stepped up and made it right for us. Crater 26 was incredible but the people behind it were the real gems. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at Crater 26! The views from the lanai were gorgeous and we enjoyed the peace and calm away from the resorts. It felt very private and was well appointed with everything you need. We used the beach chairs, umbrellas and towels every day while our little ones played at Poipu beach. We stayed with two small children but it seems this place is better fitted for two couples or a family with older children. We still loved our stay and would highly recommend!

One of our favorite things about this Poipu Crater cottage was the location - it was the perfect jumping point for exploring the whole island and getting to and from the airport. Enjoyed the pool and used the BBQ area for a grill out one night. Lanai was wonderful as well!

As two couples traveling together, Crater #26 provided fantastic accommodations for our stay on Kauai! It was really fun sitting out on the lanai with a beautiful view of the pool listening to the birds cooing - almost like living in the middle of a rainforest! The location was ideal as it was an easy walk to the beach and a quick haunt down to the pool, as well. Was also really nice to have the gas grill there too, which we made use of during our stay. Condo was well appointed and definitely meet our needs - and then some! Great start - wish we could have stayed longer!!

This was our favorite condo stay in poipu. It is a quiet little jungle paradise just minutes from the beach, sunset and everything else you could need. We loved the pool area(the pool is a good size and very deep), ping pong, and tennis. Relaxing on the lanai was a highlight every morning. The lanai is very large and spacious with a great view. We enjoyed the open air concept and the fans work well to make it not too hot. The kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely be back in the future.

The grounds are extremely beautiful and lush. Pool was always quiet for the kids to use after long days at the beach. Condo is in excellent condition. Although it doesn’t have any A/C, the fans and breeze coming in kept it nice and cool at night. Located very close to some great beaches and restaurants. Any questions we had were answered by owner very quickly. Would highly recommend and I’m sure we will stay here again in the future.

Everything was great. The lock box was a little tricky and loud but we figured it out. The beach chairs need replacing but it wasn’t really beach weather so it all worked out. We were pleased with the condo. The kitchen was well-equipped and the master bedroom and bath was a nice size. The pool area was landscaped beautifully. Nice big lanai. My only complaint is personal taste. Because of its location in the crater, the rooms are dark, and the downstairs bedroom faces the walkway to the condo nextdoor, so it does not feel very private.

Good location for the South, East, and West sides of the Island. The first floor bedroom is a little on the small side with the queen size bed. The King bed is on the second floor and quite a bit larger. The laundry is in the downstairs bathroom is quiet and full size. The kitchen is well stocked. The 4 beach chairs are in fair shape. One is completely ripped at the bottom but usable. Loads of ceiling fans keep the air flowing. One additional stand alone fam available. The condo is at the base of the Crater and is a healthy uphill walk to and from the Poipu beach. Poipu beach is a beautiful beach that offers great snorkeling and 2 good restaurants. At sunset the Turtles come ashore which was impressive to watch. Same walk to see the sunset. A car is required to visit the Waimea Canyon, Salt Pond Beach, Kiahuna Beach, Wailua River, Secret Falls and Maniniholo dry cave all provide excellent experience. Must see the Na'Pali coast too. We leveraged the snorkel and NaPail coast via the Captain Andy's. They have top notch snorkel gear and loved the crew. We hiked the Canyon trail to the waterfall at the Waimea Canyon. There is a pool too which was refereshing.

We spent a month in Hawaii jumping around every week. This unit was by far our favorite out of the places we stayed. Beds were comfortable. Ac was not needed as the fans were sufficient. The kitchen was well stocked and the pots and pans were all in good condition. The only thing we missed here was a rice cooker but we now know how to cook rice using a pot. The kids loved the pool, which was located across the lot. Very clean and well maintained. The only downside was lugging our luggage and costco groceries up the hill. Minor inconvenience or a chance to fit in a small workout, depending how you look at it. We would definitely stay here again.

Highly recommend this property! Perfect accommodations for a family of 4: bedrooms on separate floors gave everyone space; beach gear was available for use (chairs, body board); kitchen suited our needs. Very clean property with plenty of fans (no central air, but we were comfortable the whole time).

Beautiful property nestled into lush garden setting. 1/2 mile walk to the best snorkeling. Saw sea turtles and monk seals everyday. We took a risk and ditched the way overpriced rental car. Did not miss it at all during our stay. Our kids loved the swimming pool. Nothing fancy, but great for lower key parts of the day. The unit itself could not have been more perfect for our family of 4. Clean, comfortable beds, simple with lots of tasteful Hawaii decor. No regrets and would look forward to staying again if we ever had the chance.
