This condo is right above a small beach and looks over the ocean to Molokai. A wrap around lanai was a great place to listen to the waves and watch sea turtles. The condo was very clean and well equipped, including beach gear. The owner has provided upgraded appliances, flooring, and fixtures. A rental car is needed to access other beaches and restaurants. And importantly, the property manager Mariea was very responsive and helpful!

This is a beautiful, spacious condo with a wonderful lanai that's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a gorgeous sunset. It 100% lived up to the description and photos in the listing, and we were excited to end our Hawaii vacation in this wonderful spot.
The owner was also amazing to work with--graciously arranging to have our luggage packed up and sent to us when the recent wildfires on Maui interrupted our stay, preventing us from retrieving our things before we needed to leave the island. The beauty we experienced both in the sites of Maui and in the amazing people we met while there have us eager to plan a return trip. And we'll definitely look to this property as a top choice for a play to stay when we do.

We booked this based on the view and the wrap around lanai. Upon arrival it did not disappoint. The wrap around lanai and views sell this property. It was clean with plenty of amenities. The host was wonderful and communicated well and timely. I would stay at this property again.

We had the best time at this condo! The view is absolutely beautiful. We loved falling asleep to the sound of waves. We saw many turtles. The condo is spacious and very elegantly decorated. My wife and I stayed a week with another couple. This VRBO was everything you could hope for. The host was exceptional in her communication and ease of checking in. The location and the condo itself were amazing. The place was clean, and the 180-degree view of the ocean from the balcony was breathtaking. The air conditioning worked well. The pool was warmed to at least 90 degrees and was more than comfortable to swim in the evening. The BBQ facilities are cleaned daily and worked perfectly. I could not recommend the host or her place with any higher confidence.

Our room probably had one of the best and most relaxing views in the complex. The complex is at the end of the main strand that runs along the beach front. Due to that there are less people and the beach area is less commercial. This is ideal if you are looking for an area to relax with far less people bunched up on the beach.
This condo had anything you needed for an extended stay. It is laid out in a manner you have a beautiful view from the dinning room, living room and master bedroom. The unit was clean and well decorated. The unit had plenty of useable items such as toilet paper, paper towels, wash rags, towels etc.
The bad is - The master bed and pillows are uncomfortable. The guest bed room beds are not fasten to the head boards and the beds move around when trying to sleep. Probably ok for little kids but not teenage boys that are 6ft tall. I would suggest hitting up the Ross down the road and buying some better pillows if you plan to stay a while.
The washer and dryer are dated and don’t work well. The washer will not spin the water out of the towels, so the dryer can not dry them. They seemed to work well on regular clothes.

We could not have been happier with our stay . Location was excellent and the property’s view was beautiful. My goal was to stay at a property that was nice enough that if you can adults were sleeping in, I would be happy right where I was. Mission accomplished. Location was close to the better restaurants but away from the congestion of Lahaina. Unit is self was tastefully, decorated and updated . There is an coffee shop/pastries less than a 3 min walk away. I would definitely try to stay here when we visit Maui again.

The condo was amazing. The views from the Lanai were stunning. At sunrise we watched the sea turtles swim by with whales in the distance. The condo was well equipped with all things you need for beach sitting and swimming. It was clean and beautifully furnished. We would highly recommend this property and if we are ever back again in Maui, this is the on.y place we will stay. The property owner was very accommodating, and communications were perfect. We loved the condo. The lanai had the most beautiful view for sunrise and sunsets. Easy access to the beach with all the amenities. The nicest place we have stayed in our 8 years of traveling to Maui. Only little thing was the washing machine would not spin out any of the water. Took triple time to dry our underwear. Just surprised that this hadn’t been mentioned. A lot of love went into decorating with so much room. Just beautiful.

The unit owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions. The views from the unit are gorgeous. Unit itself is very clean and nice but a bit dated. That being said, the unit had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Checkin was a bit bizarre because the front desk made us pay for 4 nites for parking fees when we were only staying 3. Creative math? Even with this- the view made up for everything. Beautiful!!

My daughter and I had such a wonderful time at Sherrie’s condo that we booked it again for next year.
I spent most of the days sitting on our lanai looking at whales! It was so fun watching the baby whales learn how to breach.
The restaurants in the area were delicious, many with ocean views.
Sherrie is an amazing and attentive host.

The property itself is dated. We happened to be in Maui the week of a torrential storm. The windows and sliding door are old and water poured into the unit. We used the beach towels to soak up the water. Because the windows are old and not well sealed, the wind noise was so loud it was impossible to sleep. The pool was cold. The views are lovely. We will pay a bit more next year and stay in the Whaler Village.

Our family of 4 stayed for 5 nights. It was a very spacious condo with an awesome balcony with sunset views that we enjoyed every night! Great location 10 min south of Honolua bay and 10 min North of the awesome town of Lahaina. Condo was well appointed with everything we needed. Really appreciated the cooler, chairs and umbrellas. This condo at the Royal Kahana was perfect for out 20th Anniversary vacation stay. It was just as described. Clean, comfortable and what a view from the lanai. Spent most of our time laying out by the pool and swimming in the ocean. Overall we enjoyed the property because the view from the balcony n from inside the condo is amazing! 5 stars!! Loved hearing the ocean waves. We opened up the windows n slept perfectly well. We saw so many whales from the balcony thru out the day. The only negative is the small appliances. Iron did not work, toaster didn’t work n the tea kettle was rusted inside. I didn’t reach out to management because we didn’t need these things but might be a problem for some one else. They just need to replace these items and it would be 5 stars all the way.

Sherrie is a great host. The place was just as described. Although we were out most days, all day long, we enjoyed the early mornings and evenings on the spacious lanai. There was never a time we did not have whale activity of some sorts. Highly recommend and look forward to our next stay!

This property has the best views of the ocean and you can sit on the lanai all day. If the weather is good, you'll get a great sunset. We also saw whales from the balcony, The inside is as pictured, and there are nice beach towels for your use, as well as misc beach chairs and toys. The caveats? Two of them: 1) There is no real beach to walk from here, as there are sandbags that front the property as it's that close the ocean. Not a big deal for us, but you should know, if you wanted to swim or walk the beach there. There is a nice pool, though. 2). In early Dec the whole building had an AC failure. There are fans and an ocean breeze to keep you comfortable, however, for some people this may be problematic. If you care, you should get an update from the owner or call the Royal Kahana directly to find out.
I would stay here again, as it's a convenient location, comfortable other than the hopefully temporary AC situation, and with killer views

We loved our stay in this beautiful condo. The condo has everything you will need for a perfect Maui vacation. There is a closet with beach goodies, chairs, cooler, snorkel gear etc. many guests donate items they don’t want to take home (as did we). There are plenty of towels and beach towels. The kitchen has anything you could possibly need to cook meals if you chose. There is a washer and dryer in the unit which comes in handy. The wrap around deck was our favorite!!! You look left and see the pool with a view of ocean and look straight out to see more views of the ocean. Can’t get any closer.

Sherrie's condominium was wonderful! The condo was very spacious and clean, perfect for 4 people. The kitchen and bathrooms were well appointed and modern with everything we needed and we were able to do laundry in the unit. The location in Kahana was beautiful and right on the beach. The view was stunning with the islands of Lanai and Molokai right off of our lanai. It was such a joy getting up in the morning to drink coffee with the amazing view in this beautiful setting. The sunsets were just the best!! The pool area was very relaxing, very clean and convenient to get to right down the elevator and out the door. We walked to a couple of local restaurants and for other dining and sight seeing it was just a short drive to Kaanapali and Lahaina. We travelled to other areas of the island easily on the road from Kahana. One item that you would want to consider if you want a big beach is that the beach area is very small right in front of the building, but we were able to walk a short way down the way from our condo and get a place to sit on the beach. I highly recommend booking this propery, it is well loved and taken care of and will have everything you need for a great vacation on Maui!

My husband, our best friends, and I were celebrating our 60th birthdays and our stay at the Royal Kahana Resort totally made it memorable to say the least. The condo was beautiful, very comfortable, and the view was superb. The location was very handy to everything we needed but didn’t feel congested at all. My favorite parts were the lanai, which was so nice to spend time on and the pool area which was practically on the beach and nicely “decked” out. To finish out the day with a gorgeous sunset and a star filled sky was so relaxing and peaceful! When we return to Maui we will definitely be contacting Sherrie to stay there again!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this property from late August to early September. The views are stunning, the water directly in front of the property is a virtual turtle highway with adequate snorkeling but much better snorkeling just north and south of the property. The building and overall property is maintained to a very high standard and feels very safe. Every night residents gathered near the beach for the sunset and tiki torch lighting with the additional thrill of someone celebrating the sundown with the blowing of a shell horn.

We recently stayed at this condo for a week. Great stay !! Condo is is good shape - great kitchen, large bedrooms, nice to have 3 bathrooms, beautiful views from the lanai, and a lot of beach toys in the condo to use while staying. This has become our favorite condo for stay8ng in the Lahaina area. Check in was easy and the owner information provided to us was perfect. A small beach outside of the Royal Kahana was perfect. Like to remodeled pool area - updated since our last visit years ago. Can’t wait to visit again - we’ll be booking this condo again !!

Easy place to enjoy, lots of room to relax, beach chairs and boogie boards were available as well. We did try a couple of different beaches as the beach outside the room is perfect for sunsets and cocktails, but a lot of sandbags have been located there due to the erosion of the beach. We were still able to take the chairs down there and hang out, but a couple of beaches a couple of miles either way you go on Hwy 30 were a little more open for boogie boards.

From the moment we walked in the door we knew it would be a great week! Everything was just perfect for our stay. The condo was set up with everything we needed. There were beach toys, chairs, umbrella, and a cooler. The kitchen was well stocked with basic staples and plenty of cookware and dishes for our needs. Everything felt clean and convenient. The pool is great and wasn't too crowded during our week. There was always a lounge chair to be found. Sherrie was super responsive and sent all the information we needed so we knew exactly what to expect. It was perfect for our family of 4 and we can't wait to go back!

If you want oceanfront, you can't get any better than this condo. Kahana was a great place to stay away from the crazy crowds of Lahaina and Kaanapali, yet close enough to enjoy the restaurants and shopping. We were always grateful to come back to "our" beach to enjoy the sunsets. The accommodations were great, especially with the new renovations of the kitchen and bathrooms. The pool and grills were super clean, very attentive staff at the Royal Kahana. Sherrie was always prompt with her communications and the most accommodating owner we have worked with! Don't hesitate to rent this condo, it was a great stay. Looking at the pictures, we miss it already!

We just returned home from a wonderful vacation in Hawaii. We stayed in this condo for 17 nights and couldn't have had a better time. We swam with turtles almost every day right in front of the condo. If we didn't swim with the turtles we saw them every day! We had kids in our party and there was never down time because there is a beautiful pool, shuffleboard, ping pong table, etc. so the kids were entertained all the time. We just returned from our stay at this condo. The other reviews are right. This is a great condo to stay at. We rent a lot and the wrap around lanai gave us some of the best views we have ever had. Nothing better than to watch the sunset in the evening or enjoy your morning coffee.
We found the unit itself to be very comfortable for our party of 6 with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The unit was very clean and modern and well stocked with everything we needed including stuff for the beach which was appreciated. The location was also good just a short drive to town and shopping.
We would recommend this condo to any one coming to Maui.

Exciting view included turtles, a whale and an historic test missile. We loved our road to Hana, Maui Winery but the views from the Lanai were so outstanding we did not want to leave our condo. We opted to go out to lunches because we did not want to miss the Sunsets which could be viewed from every window and the huge lanai. Try the Hula Grill, Kimos Hula Pie and Dollies for pizza and meatball sandwiches. Sherri was a joy to work with and was very accommodating and had the twin beds made into a King. My only comment for families is the pool rules do not accommodate kids with rings, toys,etc. This is more suited for couples. The steps down to the beach are sand bags and could be a challenge. I would definitely recommend this luxurious condo. The sunset set beautifully between Molokai and Lanai during our May visit and if it rains get in the car and drive 2 miles and the sun is shining. Tim a at the desk was very helpful with tourist info. Five Stars for the large spacious condo, great TVs, grilles and laundry.

My family of 6, including four kids (18, 15, 5 and 3) stayed at this condo for 9 nights recently. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back to this condo. Sherrie was wonderful to work with and I would not hesitate to do business with her again.
I do think that any honest review needs to state the pros AND the cons, to give future customers realistic expectations.
Pros:
1. Right on the beach. I spent every morning drinking coffee on the lanai as the sun rose behind us and spent nearly every eveining there, watching the sunset. We watched whales and turtles and couldn't have been happier with the view and the sound of the ocean.
2. Large! It is so nice to be able to spread out and relax. With small children, it's very important to have enough space to spread out.
3. Kitchen. The kitchen had just about everything we needed. We grilled by the cabana several nights and it was so nice to be able to fix meals and/or snacks and not have to eat out for every meal.
4. I LOVED the keyless entry.
5. The condo was just flat out comfortable. It felt like home.
6. Parking was easy, there were always plenty of available spots.
Cons:
1. Laundry - the laundry is really a pro. However, I think it's worth mentioning that the washer is small. For this size condo, you are going to have larger groups. I could only fit two beach towels per load, so it took 3 loads each time we washed the beach towels. As you're not allowed to hang the towels to dry on the lanai, we washed them every time we went to the beach. Not that big of a deal, just good to know going into it so that you will know that you'll probably be doing more loads of laundry than you planned.
2. The property is older. Just realize this going in. This condo is not exempt from the fact that the building is not new. Don't expect it to look like a brand new building.
3. The couch pull-out bed is uncomfortable. It was fine for my 3 and 5 year olds, but I wouldn't have put adults on it.
We really love the Kahana area. Napili beach (just a few minutes north) is a gem, and the Honokowai farmer's market (a few minutes south) is something I'll really miss. I love that you're far enough from Lahaina and Kaanapali to not be right in the thick of the crowds, but close enough to get there in just a few minutes.

We were amazed by this unit! Absolutely beautiful. The view is stunning.
The only complaints I have are that the ocean was too loud to sleep with the window open! Haha! I loved staying here, I would absolutely stay again when on the west side of Maui.
During whale season, this place must be incredible. We saw turtles and dolphins from the lanai in October, I'd love to stay here year-round! ;)
The condo was clean and complete with anything we could want, although a few beach items (like the umbrella) in the closet were broken, but all in all a great place to stay! Near to grocery stores and restaurants, and a quick 10-15 minute drive to Lahaina. Love the keyless entry too.
With all the windows and mirrors, it gets a little hot inside in the afternoon, but it's worth it! Gorgeous place! Great bedrooms, great living room, but I spent most of my time staring at the water from the lanai!
The beach in front of the property is great. A little rough to swim (although we did), but perfect for walking and sitting and daydreaming. Hardly anyone on it. Ideal!

I have never written a review before but I feel as though I should this time. This two bed bedroom condo is absolutely beautiful. Such a nice comfortable feel to it and the view is incredible. It hits you as soon as you walk in the condo. The living room/ dining room area is a wall of windows and you feel as though you can just reach out and touch the ocean and you can easily see Lanai and Molokai in the distance.
The condo itself is bigger than we anticipated. There were 4 in our party and there was more than enough room for all of us. The condo is also stocked with "beach toys"... boogie boards, fins, chairs, towels etc. Besides the beach, you can enjoy a swim in the pool which has a shave ice/snack hut just beside it. There are several nearby restaurants and shops very close by and we found a great Chinese restaurant just a 5 minute walk down the road. Exit the Royal Kahana, turn left and you can't miss it. Great hot and sour soup! This was a wonderful vacation and we would like to thank the owner Sherrie for all her help and kindness. If you are ever in Maui, I recommend you stay here. You will be happy you did. ALOHA

Missing Maui the moment we left. 4th floor condo is great for sunset and turtle viewing with the oversized lania. Several restaurants, a couple snorkel gear and board rental stores as well as a gas/convience store all within one block just across small residential street.Condo is located close to the northwest shore which allows for nice cool breezes and smaller crowds on the beaches vs. the touristy Kaanapali area which I believe is more crowded and feels much warmer with less winds. Beach in front of condo offers a nice sugar sand ecxellent for all activites. Pool area and 6 gas grills are cleaned meticulously every morning by the Royal Kahana staff. The Shaka Shave ice shack @ the pool is also a nice feature. Plenty of parking available outside or in underground garage. Tennis courts, table tennis, fitness center ,sauna and grounds are all well maintained. Washer and dryer in unit work out excellent for packing less for your stay. Sherrie is very easy to work with and answered every email within 24hrs. We have stayed with Sherrie twice now and both experiences have been nothing but pleasure. Mahola Sherrie and we are already thinking of our next trip to paradise.

Fabulous condo! All facts are true and correct and the lanai is every dream come true!!!! You can swim with the turtles and see turtles right from the lanai. You will not be disappointed at all. My family can't wait to return on our next trip to Maui. The owner is very nice, informative, and upkeeps the condo very well. We planned our Hawaii vacation for over a year. And when we finally arrived the condos were everything we had hoped they would be! The ocean views are breathtaking! And we enjoyed watching whales from our lanai every morning!
The beach at the condo is PERFECT for snorkeling! And we daily saw 5-7 sea turtles feeding just off shore. The facility is well maintained, with lots of parking. (Even shaded parking! - bonus!)
We also rented a second condo from Sherrie in the same building (my sister and her family came along). Sherrie is so great to work with. She promptly answers all questions, and obviously takes excellent care of her units.
We are looking forward to another trip to Hawaii. And these condos are our first choice for lodging!

This is a very special place in paradise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sherrie's condo. It was exactly as described in the listing and the photos were just as we found the property. When we walked in we went WOW!! Gorgeous. The property is well maintained and very clean. Sherrie is easy to work with and was very accommodating when we had to cancel a previous reservation. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends and family.
