This condo was perfect for our family, 4 adults. Both bathrooms are nicely remodeled, great water pressure and the washer & dryer are a nice addition in the large master suite. The kitchen has most everything you need.
The deck is small, but what a view! And with the doors wide open the ocean breezes blow through and out the ding window. Nice ceiling fans throughout, we didn’t miss not having a/c.
The surrounding condos, resorts and homes are all connected by the the beautiful streets to walk. The grounds are beautiful and there are a few viewpoints where you can sit high above the ocean and watch the sunset and the surf. There is no safe path to the beach, but Hanalei Bay and Anini Beach are both so close.
I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends!

Our family stayed here for 9 days over spring break. The location was right on the bluffs of the North Shore. Sleeping at night with the sound of the waves and breeze coming through the windows was amazing. The condo was perfect for a family of 4. Beds were comfy, the condo was clean, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking all meals. Large TV in the living area was also great for family time in the evenings. I'd say communication with the host was great, but can't confirm. We had NO issues during the stay and did not need to contact him! We would 100% stay here again.

The property was great . . . could easily just sit and look out the window and do nothing else! However, we did venture out to hike, see the scenery and the local beaches.
Food prices are definitely high, so the fully appointed kitchen was helpful.

We stayed 5 nights at the end of January. The property was excellent and updated from the listing. Location on the north shore was great for exploring that side of the island. Walking and running paths in Princeville are easily accessible. About a mile walk to the closest restaurant. Everything we needed was in the condo (coffee pot, microwave, washer/dryer). We had a great stay, our only disappointment was the numerous roosters in the condo complex. They were loud at night at all hours and made sleeping with the windows open difficult (no air conditioning). Not really anything the owner can control and not sure if the roosters are always there, but we did notice every night. Despite that, would stay again. The condo was great.

Our stay was a mixture of both good and bad experience.
Good:
-Location: the place is in a perfect location with nice view and in a quiet neighborhood. It is closed to all nice hiking trails and less crowds. Grocery store is less than 10 min away, which is very convenience. It was raining, storming and windy almost everyday when we were there, so a quick run to the Food Land grocery store was all we did.
-The condo: well stock with all the essential items that needed for a week-long stay.
- The owner, Will, was VERY responsive in answering my calls or text even when he couldn't do anything.
Bad:
- The place was not cleaned when we checked in at 5:30 p.m. Dirty towels, trash and other stuff were still there. We had to leave the place so that the housekeeper can come in to clean it. It was not a good start of a vacation.
- The TV was not working; the audio was completely dead. It was raining and windy during our stay, so we stuck inside the condo without any entertainments. This made the whole stay unbearable. After telling us "to figure it out", the owner offered to refund us $200 to compensate for this, still we already disappointed.
- The towels were old and smelly, It seemed like they were left for days before being washed, or they were left in the washer for a long time before they get put in the dryer. We had to rewash all of them but the smell was still there.
Overall, I wish we had a better stay and to enjoy the condo more. Unfortunately, we did not.

We had a great time in Kauai. Will was great to work with. The condo is beautiful and the views are amazing. Would have been nice to have a little morw space for dry goods. Having the coolers to use was nice.

Had about 15 hours of travel after we got up to this condo in princeville. No key was left in lockbox for us to get in. Was asked repeatedly to try to break in and crawl through a window, everything was locked and not possible. Was also told the cleaning lady wasnt even showing up until dec 5th, we had dec 4th til the 13th booked for 7+ months. With warm groceries and 3 tired kids he got us a condo in kapaa for 3 nights and another 40 min drive back down towards lihue. Condo is in great shape and looks way better than the pictures they have posted. Tv and the dvd player were not in working order, host didnt seem to care. Take a chance if you want a nice place for a decent cost, but you might have to crawl through a window to get in. Owners really need to update to touch pad entry door.

We actually didnt get to stay at this property. Upon landing in Kauai I had received a voicemail from Will that another unit had caused flooding damage to the ceiling in the master bedroom, making in unliveable for our stay. I had a moment of absolute panic, because as many people know, Will had no obligation to do anything to help me and my family find other accommodations for our stay. But, not only did he do that, but he found us amazing accommodations, all while he was on vacation himself. Im sure this was so stressful for him, as not only was his unit damaged, but he took it upon himself with the help of his housekeeper to ensure our stay was still taken care of. He also continued to check in with us to make sure we were good. I would have no hesitation renting from Will again and know that we would be in good hands. Excellent customer service, as I have heard of horror stories from people just being stranded.

My wife and I enjoyed this condo so much the 1st time we stayed we booked it again the following year. We stayed for 11 days this time.
The condo itself is very nice and has all the amenities that we like, great kitchen, beach gear, nice breeze in the afternoon, beautiful view, proximity to all that the north shore of Kauai has to offer, pool access and an outdoor bbq grill.
The differences between our stay the 1st time and 2nd were minor and not all related to the property and the owner. The only thing I'd ding the owner on was the floors and balcony were very sandy when we checked in. Yes this is Hawaii and sand is everywhere and I understand they are having staffing issues on the north shore, it's just that last year the place was cleaner. Again this is a minor complaint that wouldn't stop me from booking this property again.
The owner was very responsive when I reached out to contact him about another issue which was great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay on the north shore of Kauai.

Beautiful view, comfortable apartment, excellent pool, perfectly adequate for our family of 5. Lots of beach towels, a cooler and flippers, but no masks, chairs (they were broken), or boogie boards. The light in the twin room was out. The location was excellent and the weather was perfect! Mahalo.

We really enjoyed our vacation rental in Princeville. It was clean, good size for a family of 4, beautiful view of the ocean, and a short walk to Turtle Cove. Our hosts had provided everything we needed to make our stay great, including beach and snorkeling gear.

This location is absolutely amazing! Easy parking, beautiful walking trails, ocean view from every corner and condo had everything you need for comfortable stay- lot of upgrades.
We spent every morning and night sitting on lanai enjoying the sound of ocean and watching chickens, roosters, nenes, birds roam around.
We had a small mishap when checking in- the condo was not cleaned out from previous stay, but the owner made it right. We enjoyed our stay and we would definitely book this condo again.

No key in lock box. Contacted owner and waited for about an hour in the dark and heavy rain. Cleaning staff arrived and got us in. She did a quick clean as it wasn’t done yet. After that, vacation went well. Nice place. Nice location. Great view of ocean.

This is a great condo. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Excellent breezes right off the ocean. Ocean views. Has everything you could possibly want. Close to everything on the North Shore. We had an amazing visit. The only downside was that unfortunately, during the last two days of our trip the upstairs condo had their bathrooms renovated and it was very loud. Luckily we basically left the condo and explored as much as we could. We would totally stay here again.

This property was very nice. Pictures posted are slightly different as renovation done. We did very much enjoy or stay there. Location, amenities, parking were all good. Beautiful view from balcony. We watched whales every morning. No Hot tub. Not necessary unless long term stay. After 7 days and some wind and rain we might have enjoyed a hot tub in the evening. Balcony small. For two people only. Two of us ate every day on balcony. Would not have worked for more people.
The kitchen was adequate but to improve the customer experience would be in need of some upgrades. Most kitchen items were unusable. Some pans were unusable due to rust, wear or some burnt on mess. Some knives had rust spots and some had a type of coating that was pealing off as we used them. Sharpened knives would have been helpful as well. The steel provided would not bring them back to any useful state. A garlic press would also be useful, but none there. Proper grill tongues needed. Glassware had some type of cloudy film that washing did not seem to remove. Must be a Hawaii thing? Shower stalls, mirrors could have been polished as they had some type of hard water film on them. Although noticeable, it did not overly take away the enjoyment of the property. All in all, for the dollar value, this place was great.

This property sits in an outstanding location in an upscale neighborhood. The reviews others have written describe it to a tee. We used it as a base for several fun activities we drove to, including hiking the Na Pali Coastline, surf lessons, kayaking, and snorkeling. After we became more familiar with the surroundings, we found amazing hikes and adventures exist just outside the condo's front door - Turtle Cove, Sealodge Beach, a path to Honalei Bay, Hideaway Beach, ....(on and on). We were unable to fit all the front-door activities in, and we plan to return to do so!
The view from the main bedroom was absolutely, drop-dead amazing!

The property was recently updated and it was very nice. The view of the Ocean from the master bedroom is amazing! Every morning we would awake to an incredible view and sunrise! We enjoyed sitting at the family table for dinners and seeing the ocean view! We loved the sound of waves crashing at night and the wind! Short walk to Sea Lodge Beach. Some improvements, would be more comfortable Lanai furniture and the water in the master bath did not get very hot.

My wife and I stayed in this condo for 8 days. I have nothing but good things to say about this rental. We used it as our base while we explored Kauai for the first time. There's not too much to do in Princeville, but Hanalei Bay was a 12 minute drive away. Tunnels beach took a little over 30 minutes to get to. Anini beach was about 15 minutes away. A drive to Kapaa on the west side of the island took about 35 minutes.
The Alii Kai condos are tucked up at the edge of the cliffs with a northern view of the Pacific ocean. There are some steep trails that lead down to the ocean very close to this condo. The nearest notable ones are the Queen's Bath and Turtle Cave. My wife and I were tempted to trek down but we didn't. Maybe next time. Overall the condo complex is quiet and the pool is lovely. The people we met there were all very nice.
The condo itself is definitely a gem. The kitchen had all the appliances and cookware we needed for home made meals and with Foodland and the Hanalei Bay Dolphin fish market close by we took advantage of the amenities. Luckily for us there were plenty of seasonings left from previous renters so we didn't have to spend money on salt and pepper and herbs for our breakfasts and dinners. Although there is no AC in the condo there was a breeze every evening and the condo would cool off significantly over night. We were there during early September with temps in the upper 80's and it wasn't uncomfortable.
The condo also had plenty of towels both for the bathroom and beach and a ton of beach gear. Fins, snorkels, a cooler, chairs, umbrellas, there was a lot to discover in the condo to take to the beach. And there were a family of Nene's hanging out in back everyday.
Overall I give this condo 5 stars. I would definitely rent it again.

This apartment was very well appointed with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. It has obviously been remodeled, and is updated with modern conveniences and extra touches. If there were 10 stars, we'd happily give it! We just came back from staying a week, at Will's beautiful condo. The unit was more than expected, flawless, and amazing! We've stayed at Ali I Kai/Princeville, every year, for the past 15 years. And this 2 bed/2bath condo has to be our favorite! The price is so reasonable. The beautiful corner condo unit is freshly upgraded throughout. It's very modern, and had everything we needed, plus more. Including washer/dryer. It was extremely clean too.
Will was always super responsive.
Thank you so much, Will, for welcoming us in your gorgeous condo. We will surely look forward to booking our future Kauai vacations, at this awesome unit. We already miss the condo and Kauai!

We used the sturdy camp chairs the most. It would have been nice if they had an air filler to fill the floating tubes that would have been great for the beach.

This home was in a great location. It was in fantastic condition and had everything we needed. The owner provided lots of additional extras for our stay, including beach towels and recreational equipment. The washer/dryer were a good size and in good working order. The showers were spacious and comfortable (but maybe don’t expect a particularly hot shower). Privacy was limited but the photos fairly represent that and regardless, it was still very quiet.

Delightfully surprised by the recent renovations and amenities here. We had all the tools necessary to cook and then some. Loved the waffle maker. Snorkel gear galore. Washer and dryer were top notch. The view and back patio was OUT OF THIS WORLD. My only problem, which is completely out of the owners control, is upstairs tenants. The floor seems to be very thin. Our upstairs neighbors were up at all hours and kept us up at all hours with loud stomping. Again, not to the fault of the property owner at all.. but something to consider if you’re a light sleeper and you get active upstairs neighbors.

We love Ali'i Kai it is ideal for us as volunteers with NOAA. We have volunteered in the annual OCEAN COUNT and educated whale behavior at the LightHouse close to Princeville. In this unit we were able to see more Humpback Whale activity than our official station!!! So Great!! This property is perfect for us. Our two adult daughters spent a week with us during our stay and was comfortable for the four of us.

The entire condo was recently renovated throughout, making for very functional space, be it the bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, or kitchen. Huge fridge, great oven, and the right accessories to make our stay enjoyable. Excellent communication with Will, the owner too. We will be sad to have to check out this morning!

We had a marvelous time at this condo with access to the North shore. Photos and descriptions were actuate. The kitchen was well appointed and also supplied salt/pepper, spices, olive oil which were a big plus. Views over the ocean were wonderful, from both inside and the lanai. A little awkward to prop one of us on a stool at the table when our family of 5 ate together (maybe a folding chair stored in a closet could remedy that). Beds & sofa bed comfortable. We didn't use the snorkel gear in the condo as we had brought our own. Used pool at the complex everyday and hot shower there was really lovely. The resort area did not feel crowded and there was ample parking.

Great view of the Pacific from Princeville, with a location that was pretty quiet until the weekend, when more people came to adjoining condos. We really enjoyed being on the North shore. Hanalei has a great beach and the lushness of the surroundings is just what you expect from a tropical paradise. Shopping in Princeville is good enough for everything you'll need.
The Condo is comfortable for 4 and is in great condition. It is the downstairs unit, so you may hear a little noise from people upstairs occasionally. We wish the ocean view came with a beach, but the condo is on a cliff covered with vegetation with the descent to the ocean starting maybe 75 feet from the back balcony. You can hear the surf, but you can't get to it.

My husband and I stayed at this condo with our two boys (8 and 11 years) for 12 nights. We loved it! The location is great and the view is spectacular! The Alli Kai property is nice and well kept. Our boys enjoyed the pool (4 to 7 feet deep). They were disappointed that there was no hot tub (even though we warned them), but I'm not sure a hot tub is even needed in Kauai!
We liked being on the bottom level. As other reviewers have said, you can hear the neighbors a bit, but it wasn't bad. The condo was well stocked with everything you could need. The boys were happy that there was a waffle maker and I enjoyed the Bullet Blender for my afternoon smoothies!
The location is great and Princeville is such a nice area. We enjoyed most days at Hanalei Bay on the beach and it was less than a 10 minute drive. We rented kayaks on the Hanalei River and paddle boarded on the bay. We drove to Poipu for ziplining. A Foodland grocery store is less than 5 minutes away.
The windows and sliding door were difficult to open, partly due to age and also weather. But, that would be our only complaint.
When we go back to Kauai, we will definitely book again!

Great Northside loaction in Princeville. Very nice decorations, furniture, view of the ocean, and spacious. On the downside, kind of noisey. You can hear the neighbors easy, every toilet flush upstairs is loud. Geese in backyard woke me up everyday, and no wifi.

Even though we were greeted by pouring rain on our day of arrival, our stay was fantastic. The condo had everything you could need (curling iron, even a Magic Bullet blender for our morning shakes that we enjoyed on lanai overlooking the ocean). We have explored the whole island and our favorite beach was actually on the south shore, but the drive was not too bad. I would highly recommend the condo and the owner as he was very cooperative to accommodate our 10pm flight on the last day. Thank you Will!

This was my fifth stay at this beautiful location. I love the north side and this condo is well centralized, yet still far enough off the beaten path to avoid any traffic. It's somewhat remote placement ad's a quiet & calming charm. But amazingly is still in walking distance from a shopping center, golf course and of course bars. Sitting in the well maintained pool listening to the birds and wind through the tree's as you gaze beyond the mountains is an afternoon in and of itself. We used the gas BBQ provided in the pool area and ate well. We climbed down the near-by path to turtle cave where we found a monk seal sleeping at the entrance. We snorkeled all over Hanalei one day, then Poipu the next. Found a Chinese/Thai restaurant at that local Prineville shopping center that is probably the best I've had in years (not to mention on Kauai). The condo is quaint and safe. I dream of waking early in the morning, sitting on the lanai sipping coffee and quietly listening to the waves break below. I close my eyes and hear, see and feel the ancient soul of Hawaii. Truly Gorgeous in every way. Thanks again to the owners for sharing your beautiful Home away from home.

We liked our stay at the Alii Kai. Nice layout of the unit. A fully stocked kitchen. Close to restaurants and grocery made our stay enjoyable.

I stayed here for 8 nights with my fiancé and the experience was amazing. It was absolutely everything we could hope for and more. We would definitely stay here again!

Thank you for allowing my family to stay at your condo. The view is breathtaking. We enjoyed hearing the ocean every night and waking up to the beautiful sunrise. Princeville is also an ideal location for us. We were able to go to places and do things with close proximity. The only recommendation I have is to have more changing sheets and additional sheets for the pull out bed. Your house is nicely decorated and big enough for a family of 6.Again Mahalo, until next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Will and Virginia's condo on the north shore. Loved going to sleep at night listening to the ocean waves crashing on the shore below. This recently remodelled unit had a very functionable and well equipped kitchen. Morning coffee on the lanai and whale watching was a favourite past time. Air conditioning isn't necessary as there was always a nice cool breeze off the water. Great parking lot right beside unt. The only noise you hear is the sounds of nature at this unit as it is totally away from streets and traffic. Our only disappointment was there was no hot tub at the pool and the lack of suitable outdoor barbecue stations at Ali'i Kai. Overall, a great little gem where you can't go wrong!
