Stayed 4 nights at this condo with friends and we were all charmed with the location and fully equipped condo. We had a great time! Also… the pool and hot tub were great after a day of hiking and touring the island.

Our stay at this property exceeded all our expectations! This is a well maintained condo with all the amenities of home and Hawaiian decorations that immediately put you in the aloha spirit. The abundant natural lighting and magnificent views out the windows were amazing to wake up to each morning. We enjoyed being on the second floor of the unit so we could avoid the awkward "look-ins" of foot traffic from the sidewalk. Eric gave clear communications well in advance so we fully understood what to expect, plus he gave us valuable and specific recommendations for things to do on the island. The unit is not right on the ocean, which is why we found it affordable. But no worries: you can hear the beautiful sounds of the waves while sitting in the living-room and see the water through the opening in between buildings across the street. The northeast corner of Hanalei Bay is a beautiful 35 minute walk alongside a golf course, ending with an easily accessible walk down to the beach. Plus, you can drive to several lovely beaches within a few minutes of home. We loved the fact that the grocery store and local shops were a 5 minute drive. Different folks prefer the southside of the island because the airport and all the major stores like Walmart and Costco and high-end retail shops are down there. But to us, it felt more like Orlando and Disney World, while the northside of the island / Princeville was exactly the perfect mix of modern conveniences and old-time Hawaii beauty.

Loved the dual ocean and jungle views. The lanai comfortably fit 4 of us for games while we got to listen to the ocean. The lawn on the other side provided a great place for morning yoga. The ravine behind the condo was beautiful and housed birds we listened to each morning.
It was a challenge to find the right building, the #14 sign is not visible from the road. But we found it on our 3rd attempt!

NOTE: My wife and I just finished our first visit to Kauai and have stayed the past four nights at Eric’s condo in Princeville.
Eric is super helpful and, prior to our trip, provided us a multi page guidance PDF to help us make ourselves at home. This was so helpful!
The space is great. Loved everything about it, especially the master bed/master bath.
When we first got to the place, we walked in and thought it was really warm and stuffy and only slightly started to wonder if we had made a mistake not going for a place with AC. However, we didn’t need it. And Eric spelled this out in his PDF guide. If you open the windows and utilize the ceiling fans and the tower fan in the master, you can keep the temperature perfect for your stay! Sleeping was easy and the cool air blowing in was refreshing.
The location is wonderful. Just gotta say it. We loved the lush Princeville area and the ability to drive down into Hanalei at a moments notice. The pool area is a great addition and don’t forget the turtle cave nearby!!
We hope to come back. We recommend this place to anybody looking to experience Kauai!!!!

All you have to do is take one simple photo out of the dining area window and send it. Of course you could then follow it with a pic from the lanai, watching the sunrise as you glimpse the ocean, drinking Kona coffee. Then follow that a few days later with pics from Hanalei Bay or the Lighthouse. We made sure to test the BBQs at poolside every night, they passed with flying colors (fresh Ono from the Hanalei Dolphin). Great way to wrap up the day. The condo in Princeville was exceptional, full of amenities, making our family vacation one to remember. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your chunk of paradise. Mahalo.

Wonderful accommodations! Close to beaches and local food options. Favorites were Chicken in a Barrel - Keiki pulled pork sandwich & fries, then JoJo’s for Shave Ice. Also tried 5 places for Maladadas - Kilauea Bakery won. Roosters were our morning alarm. Fantastic time Tubing & (husband and daughters) on Zip-line.

Our family of 3 recently spent 4 nights at this apartment located in Princeville. It is a very spacious apartment with a very nicely renovated kitchen. The views are amazing - one side looking the ocean; the other side to garden and mountains in the backdrop. The kitchen is very well stocked (e.g., utensils, cookware, spices, condiments) and there are plenty of gears for the beach (snorkeling, sand toys, boogie board, umbrellas, chairs, etc). The host also offered excellent recommendations for Kauai. Highly recommended!!

I visited Kauai with my girlfriend and my sister and the condo was everything we hoped. There was lots of space for the three of us. It was very clean and exactly as pictured in the listening. From the balcony side of the condo you can see the water and from the other side you can see the mountains. An amazing view on both sides. After travelling around the island I’d recommend staying in princeville and this property is perfect!

The grounds were beautiful in Princeville. The condo was well equipped with everything you need, from beach towels, beach stuff to a full kitchen to cook. We ate out since we were on the go, but the kitchen was fully stocked. The condo was clean and well appointed. The albatross breed once a year and Princeville had some females nesting. Turtle cove lookout was beautiful, there isn’t a beach in the winter. Location was perfect for coffee, lunch and dinner. Hanalei was a short distance and had shopping, breakfast, lunch and dinner locations. Princeville is an hour to Poipu, an hour and a half to Waimea and 30 minutes to Kapaa. I would highly recommend this location.

Pool and hot tub area were amazing, but didn't have propane for the last 3 days so couldn't use BBQ or hot tub which was a bummer. Otherwise everything was excellent. Would definitely come back here again.

The property was as described, and the view from the dining room was spectacular. This is an older condo which has been updated and is very comfortable for two couples or a family. The grounds are beautiful and the Princeville area is lush with mountain greenery. We would definitely recommend renting from Eric at Ali’s Kai II. Very clean, everything we needed for our stay. The only thing we didn't realize was that there was no air conditioning. We had very warm weather. For the most part we were able to keep the air flowing but it did get warm if we were out for the day. The second bathroom sink is open to the hallway so there wasn't any privacy. Would be fine for a family with kids but a little more awkward for two couples since the rooms were side by side with no separation. We survived but would have preferred even a curtain closing off the area. Otherwise, a great little place.

This was the perfect place to stay for my family’s first trip to Kauai. I stayed here with my wife, mother, and two of my brothers and there was plenty of space for all of us. The condo is absolutely gorgeous and in a wonderful location. We couldn’t believe the views from the kitchen table. Princeville is a great location to stay if you are planning to visit Haena state park, Hanelei beach or other activities in the North. Be aware that it can take some time (1-2 hours) to get to the South shore where there are tons of incredible things to do. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it can end up being a lot of driving. Overall, we had an incredible experience and would absolutely stay here again.

The condo was perfect for our trip. My family is 2 adults and 2 kids (7 and 9) and the condo was just the right size. We ate in every night and the kitchen had all the cooking tools we needed. Eric's recommendations were great. Basically everything we did was off of the list he gave us and we had an absolute blast. There was also a bunch of beach gear (snorkeling stuff, boogie boards, beach umbrella) on the porch that came in handy while we were there. The location of the condo was also ideal. Eric's unit is a short walk from a great view of the ocean where whales were breaching while we sat in Adirondack chairs, drinking our morning coffee.
Don't have much negative to say. There were a few small issues with the condo (like a doorknob that kept falling off,) but nothing that really affected our stay. There are a lot of roosters around that woke us up every morning but that didn't really bother us and would be an issue anywhere on Kauai. I actually find it part of the island's charm. In any case, overall, fantastic stay and I would definitely stay here again.

We travel to Kauai often and this is by far and away our favorite rental to date. Rolling hills, pristine golf course, incredible sunrises and waking up to the sounds of jungle birds… so so many high points. Every window has an incredible view. The linens were soft and plush and all aspects of this rental have such thought and care. Truly enjoyed our time and we cant wait to come back to the island. 10/10 recommendation.

This property gives one the feeling of being in Paradise while staying at home. Loved the large living room/kitchen combination, and eating breakfast on the lanai every day was the best. The owner treats you like you're staying in his home-- great communication, wonderful tips about local things to see, and freely let's you use their "stuff," beach chairs, coolers, etc. And the grounds are beautiful and amenities on site wonderful! Ali'i Kai is just a great place to stay in when you visit Kauai! We'll definitely consider staying here again!

Everything was just as expected and described with the condo and we would absolutely stay there again. The recommendation list was especially helpful, though a lot of them were on the Northshore and due to mudslides half of the days we were there, that side wasn't accessible. Also there is heavy construction on the main highway near Lihue so definitely give yourself at least 3 hours before your flight to make sure you get there. We left at 930 and barely made it to the airport by 12 for a 1:00 flight. We also went with 2 little ones, a 7 year old and 1 year old and the condo was great. We used Kauai baby rentals and got a bed and baby monitor delivered! I would highly recommend using them if you need extra supplies for the kids. It was also a really nice surprise to find that the condo's pool had a baby friendly pool in addition to the larger pool! We plan to go back for sure!

This condo was perfect for our family of four. The owner was extremely thorough with instructions for the condo and also with loads of recommendations for things to do and see while there. He responded to all my additional questions quickly, which we really appreciated.
The condo itself was extremely well-equipped and it was very comfortable. It had everything we needed. Our teens were thrilled that they each got a "big" bed in their room. And the views from the kitchen and master bedroom were absolutely gorgeous!!! Great location close to the little shopping center for groceries, ice cream, shops and places to eat.
The only tiny downside was that the ice maker in the freezer did not seem to be working, but we just bought bags of ice.
Opening the sliding doors and windows for that tropical breeze to come through was intoxicating, and I'm pining for it now that we're back home and back to reality.
We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Princeville. Thanks for everything, Eric!

Eric's condo was beautiful as well as clean. The grounds are so green and lush and we loved all of the birds every day. We woke up to a few rainbows which was really cool. There's a nice pool and gigantic hot tub. Lots of cookware and everything you need for making some meals at the condo. We appreciated the beach gear and soft towels as well. My son made it down to turtle cove (a little too treacherous for me). He thought that was really cool. We didn't find the flashlight but he had his cell phone. The two beds were a little to firm for me but the master was really comfortable. We liked having Lapperts Ice Cream so close. My only complaint on the north side would be lack of parking for beaches but has nothing to do with the condo. There were some great walking paths and sidewalks that we took advantage of. Would definitely rent the condo again...It's so pretty on the north side and loved all the flowers and vegetation. Go see the rainbow eucalyptus trees on the golf course and Hanalei... (was such a quaint town and not too far away). Queens Bath was also worth the slip and slide down the cliff. Gorgeous island!

This entire property is gorgeous, landscaped and groomed.. it is a tropical paradise! The unit is mostly updated, nice and clean, and for 4 of us it was a good size, but who spends more than sleep (and rainy!) time inside anyway! This kitchen was delightfully well equipped for a vacation rental. . we visited many of the local farmers markets and were able to prepare some lovely local dishes. Its location was perfect for peaceful walks to view sunsets and easy navigating to anywhere our next adventure took us. As always, the North Shore locals were wonderful, informative, and welcoming. The only rude people we encountered were other white tourists.. go figure!

We were very happy to find that the condo was just as the pictures depicted. Lovely, and one of the very best in the condo. Location within the development was good too. A couple of improvements that could be made are that we stayed for 2 weeks and only 2 packets of laundry soap were left for us, and one of the frying pans needs to be thrown away, it was so warped that even shrimp wouldn't cook evenly. Overall, one of the best properties we have stayed in, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

We had a lovely time in Kauai! The property was just as described. Our stay in Kauai was very nice! It seems that though Princeville is a beautiful area, we did end up driving quite a bit to other parts of the island which is expected if you would like to see Kauai’s sights. There are many sights around Princeville also if you like beaches and hiking. We especially enjoyed the botanical garden nearby. The condo was well equipped with all the kitchen necessities and includes parking and washer dryer that came in handy for us. Overall a very pleasant stay.

I cannot express how perfect this cindo was for our family. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and it is very apparent that great care was taken into the look and feel of the condo. One highlight was the views. On one side is the ocean and on the other was the mountains. In fact we woke up every morning to the sights of the gorgeous Kauai mountains. Amazing! The rental process could not have been easier. And all the extra info that was provided was so helpful. Also, the owner waa so kind and very quick to respond. Excellent condominium with gorgeous views of the countryside (exactly as shown in the pictures!). The condo was nicely furnished, clean, and spacious. The shared pool was also very nice. Despite being busy, the area was quiet as well. Communication with the owner was excellent and we were made aware of a few issues in the process of being corrected (e.g., replacing the washer/dryer). If staying here, keep in mind that there is no air conditioning; it was a very hot week (85-90 degrees most days) and the unit didn't really cool down well at night, even with all the fans on and windows open. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

Loved the updates and beachy feel of the condo. It was the perfect size for our family and was well stocked with everything we needed. Nice cool breeze kept us comfortable at night. Minutes to shopping, beaches and beautiful neighborhoods to walk around. We had a great time. Would love to stay there again!

Excellent property. Everything you need on the inside is there. Kitchen is fully equipped and we used it regularly for breakfast, coffee/tea, you name it. Just like home and well appointed and maintained. Washer and dryer are smaller than regular size but more than suitable for doing what you need.
Cross breeze with patio screen and dining/kitchen windows open helps. Does get warm during the day but not bad for no AC. Sleeping was never a problem.
Plenty of outside beach equipment.
Condo area is quiet and restful, clean and well maintained. Wonderful pool area. Two grills at the pool that are available and we used for dinners.
Grocery shopping readily available at Foodland. Pricey but...Kauai does have a Costco and I'd recommend a membership should you ever visit the island.
Eric also provides helpful info on the area. Trails, beaches, things to do.
Wouldn't hesitate to schedule another visit to this unit.

Property is just as advertised in the listing, and as fantastic as you would expect with a perfect 5-star review record and a great Princeville location. We were worried about not having AC- turned out to be a non-issue for us in Mid June. We did have some pretty noisy neighbors below us for the first part of our stay, and with the windows open you are going to hear it. Once they left we had no issues. I imagine we could have said something but it wasn’t a huge deal and just decided to roll with it for a couple of days. This would in no way prevent me from booking this property again, which I hope to do in the very near future.

The only recommendation is to get new mattresses for the guest room, they are very stiff. Also, a softer sofa fabric (it’s very scratchy). For younger people they are fine but for older people, probably not. Otherwise, it’s a five star stay. We loved the kitchen, living room, lanai, bathrooms, and the area!!!! I always stay in condos and this is one of the best! I would stay again for sure!!

The location of this property was perfect for us because we love hiking and being in a lush part of the island. The condo had everything we needed to make all our meals which saved us a lot of money. The views from the condo were amazing. We would stay here again for sure! The summary of what to do in the area written by the owners was so helpful! We followed a lot of their recommendations! Thank you! We had an amazing time in Kauai!

This condo has great mountain and sea views and a nice breeze (which is needed) when the windows and balcony doors are opened. The kitchen looks new and is complete. The master bathroom has just the right size. The master bedroom has a nice, large bed - I slept like a baby each night (with the fan on). The travel information provided is very handy.
The area is beautiful with a small walk towards ‘Turtle Cove’ which is amazing. The Princeville mall is 5 minutes by car and has a really nice Thai (Lotus Garden).
The balcony has great views but is a bit too hot if there is no shadow.
It also has 4 remaining rusty seats a table; it would have been better to remove them as there is a new set which makes it a bit cramped. The living room sofa has too much wear. The bed in the 2nd bedroom squeaks a bit.
All in all we loved this tropical paradise in Princeville.

The condo is described perfectly. Everything is completely remodeled and all new pots, pans and dishes. The fans are super quiet as well as the dishwasher. Close to golf and beaches really a great central location. Eric provides great recommendations and also provides extremely accurate condo directions and instructions on how to operate everything. It was perfect for my family and I would stay there again

This condo is spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice. It is really beautiful and has everything you could wish for. I would highly recommend this home away from home. I'm already planning my next trip and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

We stayed here in early Sept '13 and had a terrific time. The unit itself is great: up to date, spacious, well located and has great dual views as advertised - Mountain / jungle on one side, Ocean on the other. It is centrally located in Princeville. Just a few minutes drive to the best North Shore beaches, local shopping and restaurants. The unit was also really well stocked with extras like a boogie board, several sets of snorkeling equipment, beach towels and mats, coolers, etc... The owner was great to deal with. He was extremely responsive with information when we were deciding which condo to rent. Once we rented, he provided an incredibly helpful list of recommendations that gave us a locals insight in the best beaches, restaurants, hikes, etc... Some of these can be found in a guidebook but some are a local 'secret'. These recommendations really made our experience great. He even recommended a good place for us to have our anniversary dinner. Check in and check-out were very easy and we received our security deposit refund within two days of departing. I recommend this unit without reservation and hope to have an opportunity to stay here again.

First time in Kauai, and we LOVED it! The condo is charming, very cosy, elegant and relaxing. The view when you wake up from the main bedroom is stunning, mainly when you have rainbows. Purely magic. And you can even see the waterfalls! Every morning we were counting them with our young children to see whether there was a new one! The condo has everything you need. the pool is nice. Its location is very nice and neat. You can see the ocean as well. Walk to the beach. Supermarket nearby.
And there are lots to do around, plus we definitely recommend the helicopter tour. It's just fantastic! Thank you to the owners to be so caring about their guests. Enjoy Kauai and its pure beauty.

Our family of six stayed at Eric's condo for a week during our Hawaii trip. It was the best condo we stayed during the entire 3-week vacation. The condo is located in North Shore of the Kauai island, about 45 minutes drive from airport, short driving distance to some of the best beaches and hiking trials on the island. Owner Eric is very friendly in providing all kind of information not only about the condo, but also many good recommendations about our whole vacation planning. He answered all my emails promptly with a lot of detail, which is so appreciated by the first time visitors to Hawaii. The condo is super clean and nicely decorated. It is 100% renovated! The bedrooms are not super big but spacious enough for six of us. The beds are very comfortable, showers working great and the master bathroom shower even has a mountain view :-). The owner provided a binder in the condo with tips on activities, dining options and nearby attractions. We followed most of those tips. We snorkeled at Ke'e beach, swam and boogie boarded at the Hideaways and checked fishes at Secret lava pool. My children, aged from 4 to 18 had a blast. I want to note that the pool at the condo was nice too. My little ones enjoyed the kiddie pool. It also has an outdoor grill where we had fresh grilled fish dinner one night. People we met there are very friendly. The best party of our stay was to see sea turtles at the Cove near the condo and hike the Kalalau trial to see the beautiful waterfall. We also drive a day to the west to see the Weimea Canyon which is amazing too. Kauai is not big at all, so even if the condo is located in the very North Point, it was not difficult at all to tour the other sides of the island. We wish we could stayed longer and will definitely come back to this condo for our next Kauai trip!

It's always a little scary booking a rental online, sight unseen, with no personal references but this place did not disappoint. The condo was just as described, beautifully renovated, and in an incredibly idyllic setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and would highly recommend it. The owner was a real pleasure to work with and promptly addressed our requests. You won't be sorry with this rental!

This condo was perfect for my family of 5. It was clean and nicely decorated. We had everything needed to enjoy our stay. The beds were all very comfortable. The location in Princeville was great for traveling around and exploring the island. We loved all the beaches but especially Queens Bath. We saved money using the grill at the pool and having breakfast and/or lunch in the condo. I especially loved running on the island. The views from both sides of the condo were beautiful. Every day my family had a new experience on Kauai. The owners were so easy and nice to work with and answered every question we had before our trip. Swimming with Sea Turtles at PO'IPU beach ... priceless. The pool at the condo was helpful for an energetic 6 year old boy. Little things like a cooler and beach chairs were nice. We spent an entire day at Tunnels beach. Treating yourself to shaved ice and local produce is a must do. We would loved to have the chance to return and we would certainly stay in this condo again.

We loved staying at the Alii Kai! The views...amazing, the grounds... spectacular and the condo...absolutely beautiful - very, very clean and tastefully decorated. Eric was easy to work with and answered any and all questions I had in a timely manner - he even provided a very detailed letter on restaurants, activities and attractions in the area. We took this detailed letter with us everywhere we went. I would definitely recommend this condo...and if we find ourselves visiting Kauai in the future, I would work our visit around the availability of this property. Mahalo!!!
