Many Papakea units have window-type air conditioners in the living room only. But our oceanfront Papakea home features dual zone (living room AND bedroom) air conditioning. This means that even on those rare days when the tradewinds fail, you'll always be cool and comfortable!
Your Hawaiian home away from home has been completely renovated, and comes with everything you need. The fully equipped kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. In the living room, you'll find a smart TV, a Bluetooth capable smart speaker, and comfortable designer furnishings. We've also provided a compact in-unit washer/dryer for your convenience. The bedroom features a king-size Tommy Bahama bed with luxurious pillowtop mattress to ensure your most comfortable night's sleep ever, and its own flat screen TV. Throughout, the condo showcases art by local Maui artists. We've also included beach towels, beach chairs, a small cooler, and boogie boards to make your beach time more enjoyable. On your oceanfront lanai, our bar height lanai set ensures there's nothing between you and the tropical Hawaiian waters. And, because we are located on the second floor the A Building, you will enjoy more privacy and quiet than in any of the other buildings!
Please note: this is a non-smoking unit, and no vaping or smoking of any kind is permitted. Papakea is also a no-smoking property, and smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas.
Papakea's lovely, secluded tropical grounds cover 13 oceanfront acres, and include two pools and two jacuzzis, plus lighted tennis courts, putting greens, shuffleboards, and poolside BBQs. There's also free wifi internet, and an on site concierge to help you plan your on-island activities. The resort website - ResortatPapakea - has more details, as well as listings of many units available for rent (including ours), including some you may not have seen here. So if you're traveling with a large party, they are another resource you might try!
The location of Papakea couldn't be better. While Mother Nature removed Papakea's beach several years ago, you are just a short walk to the beaches and boardwalk that stretch all the way south to Black Rock, and beyond. That means you have all the access to one of the best beaches in the world without the intrusion of crowds of beachgoers right outside your window. You are just steps from a lovely snorkeling reef, where you can sometimes enjoy swimming with the gorgeous Hawaiian fish and sea turtles. You are also within walking distance of casual dining, a coffee shop and grocery and convenience stores, and just a short 5 minute drive to either the Kaanapali resort area or Kapalua.
Please note that Papakea Resort charges an additional facilities use fee of $17/day for the first 10 days of every 30 day stay, up to a maximum of $170 for any 30 consecutive day rental period. This fee is collected by the front desk, and covers such resort amenities as parking, pools and spas, tennis courts, putting greens and shuffleboards, cable TV and resort wide free internet. Please also note that we require weekly cleaning for long term stays; the cost of these cleanings will have to be added to your quote, as Vrbo does not have a system for calculating them into their auto-quotes at this time.
