The view from this property is serene and breathtaking. We started every morning with coffee on the lanai, gazing off at the ocean. One or two red-created small cardinals joined us frequently, as did a small, unobtrusive (on the side of the lanai railing) gecko. Paradise! Additionally, Susan was a very responsive and caring host. My husband had a medical emergency while on the island, and Susan graciously extended our stay as long as she could, prior to the next arrival, and then tried to help me find an additional extended stay venue. We highly recommend her condo for location, comfort and excellent host support!

We explored the entire island...we saw sea turtles and sea lions just a short walk from the unit. The unit is nice, we used mainly at night for sleep. The snorkel gear and boogie boards were fabulous and much appreciated as were the beach chairs and cooler. The unit is very convenient to everything you want to see.

A beautiful, comfortable, well stocked condo in an incredible location. We loved that all of the beach gear was provided. Brennecke’s beach is a super fun place to boogie board and snorkeling at Poipu was amazing! All within walking distance! The pool and hot tub are awesome too. Not to mention the view from the balcony, stunning. Susan is a wonderful, responsive host. We absolutely adored staying here and will definitely book again when we are fortunate enough to return to Kauai!

We wouldn’t stay here again especially not in September due to the heat. The upstairs ac unit is useless making half the space unbearable. The host gave recommendations for the heat but they were useless. One suggestion was to get in the pool outside.
The ac units are held by duct tape. A little crazy they advertise this as a 2 bedroom knowing the upstairs is unlivable in the heat.
It is walking distance from the beach but you can only sleep in one room.

The condo met our needs. The location is wonderful for the South Shore, walkable to Poipu Beach where we saw dozens of sea turtles, monk seal, and had a blast snorkeling. Susan thought of everything in this condo. We loved having snorkels, boogie boards, beach towels, plus the amenities of pool, tennis court access,...really had everything we needed. The full kitchen saved us and it was great to be able to do laundry as needed and repack luggage with clean clothes. Susan is a very responsive host and even suggested a good farmers market, recommended various beaches for the different activities, a couple of tours and good shops for yummy treats.
Did run into one issue that was out of Susan's control, another short term renter in the complex decided to smoke right below the bedroom windows and it was blowing into the unit through the window slats so strong it woke it me every morning. The complex is designated Non-Smoking so this was really frustrating. Susan reached out to the HOA on our behalf & they sent someone to talk with the offending renters, unfortunately when asking them to stop smoking there did not work, nothing else was done. The work around I found was keeping all the windows in the front of the unit closed and sleeping in the living room rather than the king size master - Not ideal, but I could sleep without gagging on someone's cigarette smoke. Hopefully the HOA can provide more effective enforcement should this happen to anyone else. Would like to return.

The location of this Poi'Pu condo is perfect. It has direct access to the incredible Poi'Pu Beach with its opportunities for snorkeling and boogieboarding and close-up views of the sea turtles that come to the beach each evening. It is within a 5 minute drive to multiple places to eat, a very popular coffee hut and a market. The place itself is very well maintained and you feel very much at home. The loft bedroom was a nice feature for kids to have their own privacy. Definitely would recommend this place for family and friends going to Kauai.

The location of this Poi'Pu condo is perfect. It has direct access to the incredible Poi'Pu Beach with its opportunities for snorkeling and boogieboarding and close-up views of the sea turtles that come to the beach each evening. It is within a 5 minute drive to multiple places to eat, a very popular coffee hut and a market. The place itself is very well maintained and you feel very much at home. The loft bedroom was a nice feature for kids to have their own privacy. Definitely would recommend this place for family and friends going to Kauai.

Nice location on Kauai's south shore, a short walk from Poipu beach and nearby restaurants. Condo has an updated kitchen and AC units in the bedroom and loft, but otherwise can feel a bit dated. It was spacious and comfortable in the mornings and evenings, but got quite warm during the day. However, with so much to see and do on the island it wasn't really an issue for my family and I as we tended to leave early and return late, largely missing the heat. Susan was very helpful and quick to respond!

Our family of four - parents and two teenage boys - loved this condo and its proximity to Poipu Beach, which was less than a 10 minute walk away. It was warm inside but I found that a quick dip in the pool right outside the building helped to cool off before coming in.

We had a great time at Susan's condo--gorgeous view, comfortable furniture, and lots of great beach gear! Boogie boards, snorkel gear, sand pails, beach chairs, even an umbrella--everything we needed. The air conditioners plus fans worked well to keep us comfortable, and the beach was a less than 10 minute walk away. The location is fabulous--walking distance to Poipu and Brenneke's Beach, very short drive to Koloa Fruit Stand, and incredibly close to the Koloa Zipline and ATV--definitely worth a trip! Also easy to get to Waimea, Lihue, etc. Great location.

The pictures do not do it justice, the view is amazing. We ate breakfast on the Lanai each morning and it was so peaceful and calming. The walk to the beach was very easy. The location was perfect to experience Kauai. The remodeled kitchen was very nice. All of the beach gear was very helpful! We also thought it was very nice to have a bag of local coffee there for us. The condo is located in a great spot on the island for everything. It’s an easy walk to Poipu Beach and a few nearby restaurants. If you want to explore the island, it’s located in a central spot to easily make the trip everywhere.
It was easy to get into when we arrived. The condo was clean and well situated with beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, a cooler, and almost anything you need in the kitchen for simple meals. Our kids (9 and 11) really liked staying in the loft. The condo has an assigned parking spot near the condo which is very convenient.
Susan was also a great host. She was very attentive and provided lots of great information to help us enjoy our trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Location is right in the middle of the Poipu beach area, with an ocean view. Walk to Poipu Beach for swimming, snorkeling, sunning, turtle watching, and gorgeous sunsets. One parking space reserved right at the base of the stairs to the condo. Very convenient.
Provided are body boards, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a medium size cooler and ice pack, and some beach toys for the kids.
Entrance is via a digital key code. This was wonderful since we did not need to worry about the key when we went to the beach.
There is a very comfortable king size bed on the main level and two twin beds in the loft. The one bathroom on the main level can be closed off from the main bedroom for privacy. The kitchen is modest size but fully adequate with provided oil, sugar, some basic spices, coffee, and tea. There is a good assortment of cooking and eating utensils.
There is a free-standing air conditioner in the two sleeping areas. We never used them as it was cool enough for our liking without them.
The condo comes with all of the basic cleaning products—dish detergent, dishwasher packs, laundry packs, and hand and body soap.
Some guests could have a little trouble on the entrance stairs. There are two flights of stairs necessary to get into the condo. The balcony gets very hot with the late morning and afternoon sun.

I will start with Pros:
Ocean views and balcony were awesome. Close to pool which was lovely. Walking distance to the beach. Close to shopping and restaurants. Boogie boards, snorkeling, chairs, pool noodles were nice. Nice separation of spaces between bedrooms and living space, so you don’t feel cramped. Kitchen was great, recently updated, and we preferred either cooking or getting take out and eating on the balcony because it was so beautiful. Surprisingly the single bathroom worked out for my family of 4, so that was good.
Cons: Dirty. Some things were clean but other things were not. The curtains were filthy and torn, top of fridge was very dirty, and under the bed and behind furniture was dirty. (We dropped something behind a dresser and it was pretty bad.). The Brita water filter was a nice touch but it was not working properly and when we tried to figure it out we found mold in it. Yuck. Luckily we discovered this early on and cleaned it, but that is a health hazard. Having a washing machine was great, but it is really tiny; since there were only 1 beach towel per person, and limited bath towels, only a few towels could be washed in one load which was inconvenient. Upon closer look I saw somewhere (maybe after we booked) that there were two portable a/c in each bedroom. VRBO needs to make clear that this is the case because we were under the impression the whole place has air conditioning. It would get so hot in the living room and upstairs bedroom in the afternoon when the sun beat in that it felt like 100 degrees. They had two fans in the living space, but what good does blowing hot air around? The cleaning person showed up 30 minutes early and totally stressed us out as we were trying to do the final packing because she was essentially hovering outside waiting for us to get out, which we did with about a minute to spare, but that is a bit ridiculous.
Overall we did have a good time because we were in Hawaii and we explored the beaches, played amazing golf, and relaxed. Again, there were some very nice touches at the property as well. If we decide to return to Kauai, however, there are other properties we plan on trying.

This place had everything my husband and I needed for a wonderful week. We spent many hours out on the lanai, enjoying sunrises, birdwatching, relaxing ocean views, and cool breezes, and loved the super easy access to Brenneke’s and Poipu beaches. We especially appreciated all the beach gear - chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, etc. Kitchen had everything we needed for the limited cooking we did. Having the portable AC in the bedroom was especially nice. Susan was great to work with. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable home base in Kauai!

This place had everything my husband and I needed for a wonderful week. We spent many hours out on the lanai, enjoying sunrises, birdwatching, relaxing ocean views, and cool breezes, and loved the super easy access to Brenneke’s and Poipu beaches. We especially appreciated all the beach gear - chairs, umbrella, cooler, boogie boards, etc. Kitchen had everything we needed for the limited cooking we did. Having the portable AC in the bedroom was especially nice. Susan was great to work with. I highly recommend this place for a comfortable home base in Kauai!

We stayed in Susan’s well appointed condo centrally located in Poipu. The location was excellent and the condo has all the amenities needed for a great stay. The condo and complex were both very clean. We’ll come for another visit.

We enjoyed our stay. View from condo was just as pictured and beautiful. Within walking distance of several nice beaches, one for swimming and one for boogie boarding. Beach chairs and boogie boards were provided, which is a great perk. Also walking distance from a couple of restaurants. We enjoyed the hot tub. The pool was too cold, it should be heated. The condo could use some updating but overall was fine. Never could figure out how to use either TV. The directions weren’t helpful and it refers to a guestbook for more information but that doesn’t exist. A guestbook would have been nice for that and also pointing out restaurants and beaches. The damage deposit is very steep, more than we’ve paid at any rental ever. We got it all back so it was okay but not sure the reasoning behind that. Maybe the owner had someone trash the place in the past? All in all, I would recommend this condo.

Owner timely in response. Grounds were beautiful. Our son loved the loft bedroom. Broken window in master bedroom made the AC inefficient, mold noted in shower curtain a bit unsettling. Great to have urgent care right on site as we needed to use them for a run in with the coral reef.

We liked the setup, clean and never saw bugs. Sometimes too warm because only two mobile air conditioning units in bedrooms (one in each), which were attached to outside. But they managed to provide local coolness (are noisy though) and it is Hawaii after all, we came for warmth…Plenty of fans are provided as well.
Washer/dryer units were rather old and laundry machine had an issue with only finishing cycle when opening/closing lid, but I expect owner will address this fast, communications were prompt and worked well!
The kitchen was well equipped and we could cook or make everything we wanted. Two TVs (living room and master bedroom), shower and toilet in same room…that was sometimes a challenge but with 4 persons still manageable. We can recommend staying there and might be back. Very close to great snorkeling beach park as well and yes, we could see the ocean from spacious balcony :) We had a great stay!

If you are going to Poipu this location can’t be beat! We were a 10 minute walk to the beach - less to restaurants. Ample shopping within 2 miles. The condo community was lovely! We enjoyed the pool and ocean views. The condo kitchen was well stocked. Our only issues were the upstairs AC tube kept coming off, but was fixed with some duct tape. Also the condo next door was undergoing renovations. During daytime hours it was very noisy. But we tried to stay away during those times. All that being said, I would stay here again. So convenient to everything Kauai has to offer!

Location was great for close proximity to walking, beaches, fresh produce market, things to do & restaurants in that area. Lots of beach/swim amenities for use, which was really nice.

Great location to get to the beach. Kitchen is updated but that's about it. Shower is very dated. One of the ceiling fans and lights didn't work and one of the floor fans was broken. We barely spent anytime in the house so it wasn't a big deal.
