We have stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door many times, but we always looked at this place when we would take walks and commented how nice it would be to stay there. When I saw it on VRBO we decided to give it a try. AMAZING place. The views are incredible and the breeze that comes through if you open all the windows is enough to keep the place cool. I was a little worried it would get warm on the 3rd floor, but that was not an issue. The place had everything that you needed in the kitchen as far as pots, pans and dishes. It would be nice if they had some spices there since that is something you don’t really want to buy for a one time use. They did have salt and pepper but that was all.
Our daughter and her family stayed at the Grand Hyatt and it was so nice to have a place for them to come and eat meals.

This was a great place and I highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. It is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator, which can make getting too difficult if you have a lot of luggage, but it is completely worth it. Walking distance to a couple beaches and only a short drive to some great shopping centers. Also a great base camp if you plan on doing anything with the Na Pali Coast or Waimea Canyon / Kokee State Park. It is a bit of a trek to the East Coast and even further to the North side, but worth every penny if you are planning anything for the South / West side of the island.

View from condo is spectacular, it was very clean and well appointed, bed was comfortable, building was well taken care of and in a quiet location.We enjoyed our stay but feel that it should be noted in description that there are 3 flights of stairs to get to condo and no elevator - getting luggage and groceries up was difficult but not impossible.

My expectations were exceeded when we arrived at this property. The grounds were well kept, there was plenty of parking, the condo was spacious and the view was pure heaven. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights and we had everything we could have needed to relax and be comfortable. We each had our own large bathroom but we did not utilize the second bedroom while there.
It did seem hot in there but I didn’t look to see if it had a portable ac unit like the master bedroom did. We were comfortable in our master bedroom with the ocean breeze coming through the screen and the ac unit on. We loved sitting out on the patio in the early mornings and evenings and watching the waves crash against the shore. We absolutely would love to bring our kids back to this condo some day to enjoy it with us too.

This unit is lovely. The view and the setup are just as wonderful as they appear in the pictures. Everything is very well maintained. The location is perfect, with great walking trails and routes, and access to the nearby Hyatt restaurants, etc. One caution however, the WiFi is awful. It drops constantly, so if you need to do any work (especially early in the day) or Zoom or Facetime your family, be prepared to be frustrated. We were in contact with the Property Manager about this but they didn't fix it during the 6 days we were there.

Outstanding location and view. We had a wonderful time experiencing the beach, the pool and incredible sunrise each and everyday. The unit is quiet and truly enjoyable. Steps to the beach, golf course and amenities at nearby resorts. The unit is located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator, so this can present a challenge to visitors. The 2 bedrooms are generous in size and the kitchen was perfect for our needs. We would definitely return however there were several things we noted that we’d recommend be attended to for the enjoyment of all: the unit main bedroom needs a new high quality mattresses asap, the seat pads on the dining room chairs are worn out as are those on the two recliners in the living room. Cleaning supplies were missing. We were also told there was a fitness center nearby but we couldn’t find it.
Outside there were spiders and spiderwebs all over the staircase. We called and someone came but they really didn’t do much. This should be addressed promptly and permanently.
This is such a lovely place. We hope to enjoy it again in the not so distant future. We very much appreciated the opportunity to stay there. Mahalo!

This was our third stay at Poipu and first at the Poipu Sands condos, this was such a great location for enjoying the southern shore, access to Waimea Canyon, shoreline hikes and restaurants. The condo was perfect for our stay, clean, spacious, tastefully decorated, and convenient to Shipwreck rock and beach. 5 Stars!

This was a wonderful place to stay. Perfectly clean, all the necessities, lovely decor and a magnificent view from the balcony that we ate every breakfast and almost every supper on. Breezes through the bedroom and lulling sound of the ocean at night from the screened door. Couldn’t ask for more. PS no elevator to the 3rd floor for seniors like us- but only 32 steps and the rental agents arranged a nice and strong young man to help carry up our bags when we arrived. In summary, can’t wait to return.

When we walked in the door after a long day of traveand saw the view—green, green lawn stretching to the crashing ocean waves and curved, never crowded, easy-to-walk-to Shipwreck Beach—we gasped.
This is the nicest place we've ever stayed. Spacious and spotless, well-equipped kitchen, coolers, beach chairs, an umbrella...Woke each morning to a gorgeous sunrise over the oean. Wonderful walking paths accessed right outside. Not far to Poipu Beach, where we snorkeled, saw dozens of sea turtles drag themselves up on the beach at sunset, and even monk seals.

Our condo was amazing, all the amenities one could ask for the views were amazing from living area and master bedroom. The only item I wish was there was a pair of inexpensive binoculars.We would definately stay again!!

The lanai with the view was amazing. We had a perfect view of the sunrise everyday as we woke up. Great location right next to the Hyatt and their pool, not far from shopping, restaurants and activities, but still removed from everything and peaceful.

This condo is awesome! Very spacious, lots of amenities, and fabulous view. After coming to Kauai for over 30 years, I would definitely stay here again. Love the Poipu area and this condo was a wonderful place of relaxation. Highly recommend it!

We stayed in this top-floor condo for a week in late 2021. It was fantastic. The unit is impeccably maintained and commands a beautiful view of Shipwreck Beach, which is just a few steps away. The master bedroom has sliders that open up to an ocean view, allowing us to enjoy the crash of the surf from the very comfortable king bed. The bathrooms are stocked hotel-like with soaps, shampoo and conditioner, as well as a full complement of white cotton bath towels and washcloths. My wife loved the cushy bathrobes.
The kitchen, too, is well stocked, with coffee maker (there were even filters in the cupboard), a electric kettle, pots and pans and sharp knives. The stemware includes red and white wine glasses, martini glasses and champagne flutes.
The flat also comes with terrific beach chairs and umbrella, which makes it easy to set up shop at the beach below.
Would definitely rent this unit again if we stay on the southern end of Kauai. Thanks!

Fabulous condo, well appointed and perfect location! Would suggest that they stock with a few spices because it’s a great kitchen to cook in, but other than that no complaints.
Great walking and beach access next to the grand Hyatt and golf nearby at the Poipu Bay Golf Club.
As other renters have mentioned, it is a two bedroom condo so not sure why they advertise it as one.
Unfortunately communication with the property manager is non-existent once on location. I left two messages without reply. Fortunately nothing urgent but frustrating nonetheless with TV and Wi-Fi issues.

The unit has all the things you need for a visit to the island; beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, board games, in unit washer/dryer, kitchen stocked with all the utensils you could ask for. This is on top of the awesome view and proximity to food, shopping, and beaches. Would definitely book this unit again in the future!

Wow! This place was fancy and roomy. Much more than I expected, I'm ready to move in! The views were incredible, especially at sunrise and during storms with rainbows. It was conveniently located next to the Hyatt and its admenities. Because of its size, it was the gathering place for friends and family staying in the area. The online description was not accurate. I thought I was renting a one bedroom. If I had know it had a second bedroom, I would have invited another couple. The only negative--3 flights of stairs, but its worth it!

Gorgeous ocean view, nice lanai. When the tradewinds are blowing, it's divine, but when they stop, it's stuffy. There's AC in the main bedroom though, and the unit has its own washer/dryer. The unit has 2bed/2ba, and is very beautifully decorated. Kitchen is fantastic. Just be aware that you have to lug your bags up 3 flights of stairs.
The unit is right next to the Grand Hyatt, so the area is very luxurious and has a great beach and adjoining walking path.
Problem: When we wanted to extend our stay, we tried contacting the concierge/management 5x (it was the number they gave us), but never got a single call back so we moved over to the Grand Hyatt!
