The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was in a great location right next to a small beach. It was our first time to Hawaii but hopefully not the last. We loved the house and would definitely come back. The only thing we wish is that it would have at least had a small window air unit or something to cool down in the evenings. Once the sun went down the temperature dropped and it was cool for the night. Not a huge issue that would keep us from returning.

Our travel party was comprised of 10 local retirees. The property was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking utensils, pots and pans. The appliances were modern, even the washing machine and dryer.The prevailing tradewinds and overhead fans helped keep the house cool.

The space was great for our family of 6 adults and 4 children—including a 10-month-old. There were lots of toys and equipment for the beach, house, and yard and good baby equipment for the 10-month-old (he loved the walker). Fortunately it didn't rain much while we were there, so we were able to eat our dinners at the large table on the deck. We enjoyed being able to easily go back and forth between the house and Baby Beach.

We loved the house and it was perfect for our 3 generation family of 9, 6 adults and 3 children under 5. It was wonderful being so close to a very safe beach and being able to easily walk back and forth with the little ones for lunches and naps. We also appreciated being able to walk to restaurants. The kitchen was well equipped all sizes of pots and pans and every imaginable appliance. We ate outside on the beautiful wrap around porch most every evening. There were plenty of beach towels, chairs, etc. for our time at the beach. The real plus for us with two 2-year olds in our group was all the gear provided for the little ones including pack and plays, plastic dishes and sand toys. It really felt like home and we would love to return someday!

My family and I spent a glorious week in this very well appointed property. Only a 5 min walk to Baby Beach, great for little ones. The amount of amenities provided was outstanding. We hope to be able to return again someday. Kauai is a very beautiful place to visit. A lovely shopping centre was walking distance away. Best ice-cream at Lappert's.

This was a family vacation with three generations and the house worked beautifully. Well equipped kitchen and lots of towels and linens. The clothes washer really needs servicing and we let the owner know as our clothing and towels we washed came out pretty much as we put them in. We'd recommend the house and would stay there again with our family group.

This property was very well maintained and the kitchen well appointed. There were also additional items included to make your stay pleasant. We loved the location as it was close to all the major beaches on the south side with Baby Beach so close we could see it from the end of the driveway. We walked down to that beach each night to watch the breathtaking sunsets. I also appreciated having chairs, umbrellas and boogie and a surf board available for our use. Restaurants and shopping were within a very short walk. The only issue we had was that the heat made it difficult to get to sleep some nights for those staying in the rooms where there were only small windows and no sliding doors. Several additional large fans and/or room air conditioners would be great. I would bring my family back here again. It was a great stay in paradise for all of us!

We stayed here with another family over Easter. Great place for an egg hunt! We loved walking to Baby Beach. It was great for kids. They enjoyed playing in the mellow surf and seeing sea turtles. Great communication. We appreciated all the help!

We had a wonderful stay. The house accommodated our group of seven perfectly. We enjoyed all of the views, the close proximity to the beach, walking accessibility, and restaurants. The place was so well stocked it felt like home. The owner was responsive when we needed some help with the grill's propane. The ocean and beach gear provided was definitely a plus. Great getaway on a beautiful island!

Overall, the home suited our needs. Had plenty of beach gear for our use, as well as a good amount of space for our group of 9. It sleeps 10, but that’s based on each bed and the sleeper sofa sleeping 2 each (aside from the room with the twin beds). The location was perfect…only a short walk to baby beach, and maybe 3-5 mins from Poipu. The home was fairly clean, however, there were items left around from what I assume was the previous renters, such as towels, and some opened food items in the lower level refrigerator, leaving it feeling as if the cleaning was not as thorough as it could have been. Communication with property manager during our stay was challenging, and when attempting to gain clarification on items instructed in manual, the replies were delayed, didn’t happen or were unclear. We attempted to leave things as instructed, however many were not in the locations as noted in the manual

The house fit the 9 of us well. The location was excellent- we loved walking to Baby Beach each evening for the sunset. The house did get warm during the day, but it cooled off quickly at night and the extra fans helped.

•Located in a beautiful coastline neighborhood, where most of our daily activities were spent.
•Property is as pictured, well maintained; lots of room for the 9 of us.
•Well stocked, just needed to load up on various sundries and groceries;
(10 day stay)…loaded up at Costco in Lihue, cooked most meals (our choice), cleaned and laundered when necessary.
•Located w/in 1 mile east/west…of surf beaches, snorkeling, scuba.
-Baby Beach is steps away, perfect for the littles, and beginning snorkelers. The house has various sized sets of snorkel gear, fins and water shoes, and beach supplies.
-Recommend “Hawaiian Style Surf” lessons for beginners 1 mile east at Kiahuna beach.
•Close walking distance to a little outdoor shopping plaza (clothing, souvenirs, art galleries, Long’s Drugstore, Lapperts ice creamery, restaurants/bar).
•1.5 miles from Spouting Horn and The McBryde & Allerton Botanical Garden (highly recommend).
Home away from home, great place to just chill or return to at the end of our multiple activities throughout the day. We’d definitely stay here again.

Our extended family had a wonderful stay. The quick walk to baby beach for sunrise and critter sightings, walking or running trail, and close to all other amenities. The home was stocked! We found absolutely everything needed for our beach based week.
Nights on the wonderful wrap around porch where many games were played quickly became mandatory.

Shelly Griffin made our stay most memorable. We were able to spend time with family and create very special memories. Love the house and all the amenities. The beach is just minutes away walking. Shelly went out of her way to accommodate our special requests. We will definitely try to make it out there again. !!!!

We stayed 3 nights and were gone most of the days. Do to COVID we only used a few items in the house items in the kitchen after we clean them first. This was not to say that they were not clean already, just an extra layer of protection. There was one exception, one of the toilets looked as they had been used and not cleaned very well. The red dirt was evident in the cracks and crevices through the house, but through out the whole island this could be found. This still gets 5 stars overall.

The house was the perfect property for our family! The rooms were spacious, and plenty of open spaces to hang out and have fun with the family. It was well-stocked with the essentials, plus tons of beach towels and other fun stuff for the beach. It's a few steps away from a small, quiet, beautiful beach. And, it's walking or short-drive distance to many good eats. Shelley was a superb host who was very responsive and accommodating. Mahalo Shelley and we look forward to visiting again!

This was a great place for our family of 7 to stay. Well equipped with beach toys, towels, beach chairs, etc. Kitchens were also very well equipped. Short walk to the beach, nice place for a morning or evening run too!

This was the absolute most perfect house for our group of 9 adults!!! Our daughter’s wedding was very close by so this house was a prize location for us. Everything was amazing about this house, It was just like being at home, has everything you could ever need. Neighborhood is beautiful, too. Highly recommend and we would absolutely stay here again.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home. We loved it there! Our group included 6 adults and two small children. We were so comfortable! I don't think this trip would have been so enjoyable had we chosen a hotel or condo. Being able to cook and have laundry facilities simplified our lives tremendously. We didn't need a single thing, you have thought of everything. We visited many of Poipu's sites, including the Baby Beach, Blowing Horn, Shopping Center, etc. I would recommend your home to everyone I know traveling to Hawaii. Thanks again for sharing with us!

Our stay at the Hale Beach Inn was wonderful! We had 10 people staying there and it never felt crowded. There is ample space for everyone. With 3 children we almost always feel a little out of place when we travel but not at this house! Our children ages 4, 2, and 7 months fit perfectly here. As parents of little ones we really appreciated the pack and play for our baby and the toys for the older ones. The huge backyard was a wonderful spot for our boys to play ball safely away from the road. The grandparents who stayed downstairs were never woken up in the morning by little feet as the sleeping area downstairs is not under the living room or kitchen - great design that provides a lot of quite and privacy for those staying downstairs. The house was well equipped with 5 bikes, many boogie boards, floaties, and beach toys. We enjoyed walking down to Baby Beach to catch the sunset and whale watch. The Kukuiula shopping center is within walking distance and we loved getting ice cream there at Lappert's. Poipu Beach is a bike ride or quick drive away and of course provided all the perfectness that is Poipu. We loved this house and are already thinking about our next trip to Kauai and we will definitely be staying here!

Our family (8 adults, 3 kids and an infant) had a fantastic week at Hale beach Inn. Good location. Huge yard. Extremely quiet. Only 1/3 block to a small, sandy, secluded beach. Two kitchens, and lots of room for everyone.

Our family (7 adults, 2 kids, 4 and 1-1/2) rented this house last August. We all agree this was the best vacation ever and the house had a lot to do with it. The house was very well kept and is located in a small quite neighborhood within walking distance to a beach for the kids and the best snorkeling next to the Beach House restaurant. The house came with lots of beach towels, 5 bikes, beach toys, mats and some snorkeling gear. There is a large outdoor table on the upper deck where we ate every meal and played cards every night. We put a baby gate across the top of the steps on the deck and never had to worry about the kids being outside on the deck. A big bonus-my daughter and I ran the Kauai half-marathon and the course was so close to the home we were greeted by our family just before the finish line. Amazing race! Shelley was great to work with and made the rental process easy and seamless. We would highly recommend this home and plan to come back someday.

We had a wonderful time staying at the house for a week. The downstairs living area was a Godsend. My sister and her family (2 adults and 1 small child and a baby) stayed down there while six adults stayed upstairs. It was easy for my sister to get away and have quiet time for the kids while the adults played upstairs. It worked out perfectly. The house is the perfect size. The had every amenity you could think of including a blowdryer and spices in the kitchen which came in very handy. We used the bar-b-que every day of our stay, except for two. Loved having all of the towels and washer and dryer. This house is about 20 minutes from Costco so it was very convenient for us. The children's toys and pack-and-play were a pleasant unexpected surprise. We loved the bikes and beach items (chairs, towels and coolers). Very comfortable house. Had enough room for everyone. Highly recommend. Great price too.

I had the great pleasure of spending 3 weeks at this beach house & boy was it awesome! First off I want to say that the owner Shelley is so great! She is prompt with emails and is so on top of everything. I was very impressed with how seamless the renting process ran with her (and I have rented vacation properties else where before!). She has this down to an art :) The house itself is GREAT! It has everything. We were able to save a lot of money by cooking ourselves and it had it all right there. Pots, pans, dishes, etc! The place was loaded with bath towels and beach towels too. We did not want for anything. It was incredible the amount of beach & sand equipment and toys that are on hand at the house. Even bikes to ride, yep, they are in the garage!! Every day we loaded up on what we needed and walked to Baby Beach. It was truly a blessing to be so close to that beach. For my 2 little ones, that beach is PERFECT! And sunsets on that beach are simply breath taking. We had a photographer come over and we did family photos on that beach, that is how much we loved the views.
This was my 8th trip to Kauai and yet my first staying in a vacation rental on Poipu. I did not want to leave! I really felt like a local. I absolutely blended right into the culture and the everyday living and enjoyed it. The house sat perfectly amongst the tourism of the hotels and yet still within the neighborhoods. We went to Lapperts almost daily. Did our grocery shopping at Big Save. Ate our share of Puka Dogs. Did a lot of tourist stuff, of course, like mountain tubing with Backcountry Adventures (MUST DO!!!!), and kayaked the Wailua River (with a hike to Secret Falls~ do it with Wailua Kayaking), plus drove the Waimea Canyon all the way around the rim and also went to North Shore for the day. We kept busy!!! So overall, we had a great time and no matter what we did or where we went we always came back to a wonderful house to sleep. We had no issues or complaints at all. The house is updated, clean, spacious and it has Wi-fi (for free, which all the hotels charge, so that was great). The house, overall was better then expected which was great. I am very very happy and will recommend anyone and everyone to definitely stay here. I am already thinking about next Summer's trip. Hoping to be longer then 3 weeks :)

Wow, what a wonderful home in an nice, quiet neighborhood. Beautifully remodeled and spacious. And clean. We were 5 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. Well stocked with beach gear, towels, etc. Highly recommended.

Our recent stay at Hale Beach Inn was a perfectly relaxing vacation. The house was ideal for our family of 7 adults and two 18 month old children. Everything went really smoothly right from detailed directions from the airport through to our final departure. We have stayed in a lot of rental houses around the world and Hale Beach Inn rates right up there with the best. Extremely clean, near new appliances, great beds, wonderful showers and a terrific barbecue that grills Opah to challange the Beach House Restaurant. The owners had compiled lots of helpful information to help us find beaches and attractions. The location was great. Baby beach was a 2 min walk and great for the kids and a quiet suntan. Lots of Green Turtles resting on the rocks at Whalers Cove also a very short walk away. A mall was also a short stroll away. The defining amenity of this house was the full access to the substantial beach gear including kids toys, mats, umbrellas, boogie and surf boards. It was like walking in to your uncle's beach house and having full access to everything. There was even coolers for our beach beers. A lot of attention was paid to details that we really appreciated. Without a doubt we look forward to taking our family back to Hale Beach Inn in the future

I realy have seen a lot of rental homes but this is outstanding. It is more than just a rental home: here is someone sharing his home with visiters. It is fully equipped with everything you would need for feeling home and wellcome. We used the great kitchen and the outdoor gas barbecue every day, had our breakfast on the west lanai and dinner on the south lanai.
It is reaaly true what the discription says: This is island living at its finest!
When every I go back to Kauai I would like to stay in this great house again!
