We absolutely loved staying here for our 15th anniversary! The kitchen is very well stocked, the bedroom a/c kept us comfortable at night, and the lanai was our favorite place to sit and watch the ocean in the morning and evening. We loved the easy access to pickleball courts (2 paddles and balls are available), and the beach equipment/coolers were greatly appreciated. Jerry always responded very quickly when I reached out. We were very impressed with how organized and we’ll thought out everything was, and the location was perfect for being able to explore both to the north and to the west.

This charming get-away is spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean. A short walk away are green sea turtles sleeping on the beach. The bed was comfortable with a bright yellowed colored pineapples. It was also VERY well stocked. Will look for this place again on our next visit to Kauai.

Most definitely a 5 star condo. Ocean Views, Spacious condo, Great bed and 2 bathrooms! Highly recommend. Close to everything. Walk to Kiahnua Beach and sit and or play in the ocean. Wish we were still there. Great place!

This beautiful listing is exactly as described and even more wonderful in person. The hosts are very thoughtful and communicative as well. The area is great as it’s quiet and secluded, but very close (5min) to beaches, shops, restaurants etc. Would not hesitate to rebook again.

The place was exactly as listed, very good, clean, calm, had everything that we needed. I have stayed at Poipu Kapili before (different unit) and it is wonderful. The views of the waves and the sunset from the wall across the street is priced less. 29 had everything we needed. Recommend bring plenty of change for laundry…which was handy. Will return !

We loved our stay at Poipu Kapili #29. The unit is beautiful and well appointed with very comfortable bedding and furniture. We really enjoyed being able to eat many of our meals at the condo instead of going out to eat the whole time. Pool area was quiet, secluded and relaxing and the beach is an easy 5 minute walk. We had a couple of questions come up during our stay and the owners were super helpful and responsive. It does get warm in the living area of the unit but it was great to have the AC in the bedroom. We were totally fine with the warmth but something to be aware if you're extra sensitive to heat. We also loved the location on the island as it was easy to get to most locations relatively quickly. I'd love to return someday to continue exploring Kauai.

The property was quiet and clean. Our hosts Jerry and Amy were so friendly and helpful with all the instructions. They provided a list of local restaurant recommendations and things to do around the island. The property looks out over the swimming pool to the ocean. Sunsets every night right out the door. I can’t speak highly enough about the property, it’s owners, and the area.

Only negative was that we had big foot up above us, thankfully they went to bed at a reasonable hour.

We felt so comfortable in this condo! It’s on the ground level but still has a beautiful ocean view as well as the pool being right outside your door. Walking distance to both of the shopping spots: Poipu Shopping Village and The Shops at Kukui’ula which both have some great places to eat and shop! Our favorite expensive restaurant was The Beach House and less expensive/casual Living Foods, which is also a small unique grocery store. In between those two we loved Keoki’s Paradise.
The owners of this property were great to work with and gave us lots of good info about the area!

Everything about our stay was perfect. This unit is gorgeous inside and out, from the furnishings and kitchen to the linens. The location is close to all you might want. We walked to multiple beaches, great snorkeling spots, and restaurants. Watching the sunset and turtles feeding right in front was awesome. The pool area is beautiful with so much room to spread out. We took advantage of the on-site pickle ball courts (loaner gear available) as well. Communicating with Jerry was lovely - he responded almost instantly to our questions about the area and our stay with great information. Poipu perfection! Mahalo!

We had an amazing stay! It was our first time to Kauai and we weren't sure where to stay but we sure lucked out with this condo! It's in a great location - walkable to beaches and restaurants. The unit itself was nicely decorated and clean, and the AC unit in the bedroom was a big plus at night! We enjoyed relaxing on the lanai and it also had a nice pool area. Great place and would love to stay again on our next trip to Kauai!!

This was our first time to Kauai and we didn’t know where to stay as newbies- Wow!! We loved the pictures and all the reviews were outstanding but seeing this condo in person was even better!! Jerry and Amy have a stunning condo with beautiful furnishings and every single thing you could want or need to feel at home. It was immaculate and well-stocked. The location made it hard to leave each day but the island is just so lush and gorgeous with the kindest people everywhere. We explored via land, foot, car and catamaran. We had peaceful walks every morning, amazing drives, delicious food and refreshing swims. It was always so nice to return to the condo and sit on the patio listening to birds and roosters while watching the ocean. The unit offers a lot of privacy while giving all the views you could want. We enjoyed the goodies left for us and even did a load of laundry on property. Needless to say, we hope to return and enjoy this paradise again!

The pictures don’t do this place justice! The moment we walked in this place felt like home. We booked here to celebrate my boyfriend’s 40th bday. He is a little OCD and likes things spotless, he often cleans right when we arrive so he can feel more comfortable. Not at this place, it was spotless and he immediately felt comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, there are instructions on how to use appliances. They had beach towels, coolers, chairs and boogie boards. We had communication with the owners and they always responded quickly. They were accommodating and gracious. I can not express how beautiful the view was every single day. We saw whales from the patio and turtles are a quick walk away. We will return and stay here again! Loved it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach and close to everything you need. The property itself had everything and more you will need. The furniture, beds and pillows are all comfortable. The bathrooms have plenty of shampoo, conditioner and soap. There are dishwashing and laundry pods available for your stay. No need to go to the store to get extra. It is all taken care of for you. Also, very nice Tommy Bahama beach chairs, ice chest, ice packs, etc. Pool was super nice and across the street you have amazing views of the sunset. You will love it!

I was at this complex 25 years ago and its ageless, well maintained and quiet. Beautifully landscaped. The view from this unit is "squarely facing the ocean" which is breathtaking! I really enjoyed dealing with the owners Amy and Jerry directly. (vs property managers). The amenities, style, quality of their unit is beyond expectations. We never turned on the massive flat screen TV in the living room. Didn't feel the need as we enjoyed the condo & patio so much! I have a messed up back and the bed was heaven. No sore back.... The condo was larger than I expected as well.... The complex has 2 gas and 2 charcoal BBQ's..... cleaned daily and ready for use. I've stayed at many vacation rentals and this one ranks at the top......so, you can stop searching! Can't wait to visit again....back to work...uggh

Our stay Poipu Kapili was no less than perfection. The first night we got in late and slid the doors open to hear and see the crashing waves and both said "How do we deserve this". The decor was beautiful, couches were comfortable (even the sleeper, I don't think I have ever sat on a comfortable sleeper). The view from the the back porch is to die for. All the kitchen amenities you'll need are there for you, we did find that we needed to get some oil to cook with. The bed was so comfortable, we had a hard time not oversleeping and gave into it a few times. The pool is great and a comfortable temperature.
I have never stayed at a rental this nice before, it was above and beyond my expectations. Parking costs money at many other places, not here however. We were a short walk from the beach in front of the Sheraton, a little further to Poipu beach park, and further we could get to Brenneckes.
We will 100% stay here when we return to Kauai. This was my wife's first trip, and these lodgings really made it feel premium and special. Thank you so much.
Only cons I can think of were the Wifi range is poor and somewhat inconsistent which can cause issues with mapping routes to excursions or beaches. I also couldn't find a first aid kit after cutting myself on some coral but the owners reached out and mentioned they will be adding that.
Very responsive owners, beautiful and centrally located place. This place can not be beat for the price.

Most of our trips we have stayed in the Princeville area. This trip we chose to stay in Poipu and were pleasantly surprised to find such a great condo in close proximity to everything the Poipu/Koloa had to offer. Most amazing were the views of the ocean that we frequently took in while drinking coffee in the morning and Mai Tai's in the evening. Had a small issue with the wifi but Jerry responded promptly and was resolved in short order. We would highly recommend this property (as long as it doesn't interfere with our next visit...lol). Jerry + Amy's condo was absolutely perfect for my fiancé and I celebrating our engagement! We spent 7 full days there, each of which were perfectly accommodated with everything we need from this property. You never know if a rental is going to be as nice/clean as it looks in the listing photos, but this place did NOT disappoint - in fact, the photos didn't even do it justice. Although warm at times, the space was extremely comfortable to lounge in, the kitchen had every tool and gadget you could possibly need to cook elaborate meals at home, and the proximity to the beaches/the view from the back porch was simply amazing.
One of the most important things to me when renting via VRBO is the cleanliness of the home. The condo was spotless and very well taken care of by the owners/cleaning crew.
Poipu/Kaloa as a town is so charming, and the condo is perfectly centralized to everything within walking distance, and only a short drive away from other sides of the island. As a plus, the families that own/live in the neighboring units were extremely friendly and welcoming to us short-term renters.
Jerry was extremely communicative from the beginning of our booking, all the way through our stay and check-out process.
Moral of the story is: I would 100% recommend this listing to family and friends, and if we're ever back in Kauai I will be looking to stay in 29 Poipu Kapili again!

Beautiful property. Very spacious and decorated very nice. Jerry is a dream to work with. Any questions I had, he was very responsive. A couple of days prior to us arriving, he checked arrival time to try and have the condo cleaned and ready for us considering someone was vacating that day. We arrived and checked straight into the condo. Very easy! After walking in first thing is THE VIEW… WOW!! You are smack dab in the middle of the property so the most beautiful view of the ocean. Perfect spot to sit on the patio and enjoy sunrises with coffee or sunsets with a cocktail. You have everything you need if you want to cook. The only thing you will need are your own touches such as spices, salt/pepper, coffee and fixings but there are stores close by to get what you need. Full refrigerator and Jerry & Anne provide you with laundry pods, dishwasher pods, dish & hand soap. Showers stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash so don’t bother packing that stuff. More room in your bags for souvenirs. Two full bathrooms, perfect! And the bed… for me, sooooo comfortable. For beach excursions there are coolers and chairs at your disposal, pack and go for an adventure. You have an air conditioner in the bedroom so very comfortable for sleeping. During the day with the sliders open, we’d prop the front door open and we had a fabulous cross breeze. If we ever make it back to Kauai, I would not hesitate to stay in this property.

Hosts: Jerry and Amy were responsive and thoughtful, really great and we couldn't have asked for better. This was our first VRBO type rental and they made it all easy and positive.
The unit exceeded our expectations: it was very well maintained and we loved the view of the pool and ocean. The interior was great. It seemed a decorator, or someone with a decorator's sensibilities, did an excellent job especially on the kitchen. But also the furniture was coordinated and to scale, so the rooms flowed and there's good floor space. The decor was neutral - contemporary island / plantation style - and NOT Golden Girls style. The lovely kitchen was fully stocked with nice dishware and utensils, and the appliances were new. The couches were new and comfortable to sit on. The bed was excellent. Nothing felt outdated.
The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The parking spot was just steps from the unit and the coded door lock worked perfectly. We really liked being on the ground floor because we used the patio a lot. The patio lanai closet had: 2 Tommy Bahama chair backpacks for the beach and those were super practical; plus beach supplies like small coolers, boogie boards, and an umbrella. The other guests were polite and there weren't any loud party scenarios. There's a manager who lives onsite, she manages other units etc. and she was pleasant.
The location: in either direction the unit was a 15 minute walk to stores and restaurants. The nearest grocery store was about 2 miles away, so one would need a bike or car for that. The access path to the nearest sandy beach is paved all the way from the unit up to the Kiahuna Beach. It's a 5 or 6 minute walk. At Kiahuna there are waves to bob around or surf in, but it's not as easy to snorkel there, it isn't a shallow snorkel cove like Poipu Beach Park. I preferred Kiahuna to the other beaches we went to.
Transportation: if you don't have a big sightseeing agenda, and really just want to hunker down at the beach, you can probably do without a car if you grocery shop in Lihue first. Example we only had a rental car the first 1/2 of our stay. We shopped at Safeway in Lihue, and then the last few days just bought a few non-perishable things at Longs Drugs on things we ran low on. There's a variety of dining out options. We called Poipu Taxi a few days in advance for a reservation to take us to the airport, they were great.

We just got back from a WONDERFUL vacation that was made so in part by our spectacular accommodations! This Poipu condo has literally front row, center ocean views to the south. We loved spending our time on the lanai (patio) and taking in the view. We ate every meal out there and just enjoyed the luxury of it all. The pool was refreshing and literally steps from the back patio. But the condo still felt private because of the landscaping. There were several times we were the only ones in the pool, it felt like a private pool. The condo itself is massive, with everything updated, top to bottom. Beautiful stone kitchen and bathroom countertops, state of the art appliances, nice tile floors and wonderfully updated furniture. Luxurious is the only way I know how to describe it. A good quality blow dryer is provided as well as good sized bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash so you don’t have to pack any of that. There are two bathrooms so you don’t even have to share with your spouse! Beach towels, boogie boards, coolers, a beach umbrella and chairs are all provided so you can go beach hopping and take all of the stuff with you. Kiahuna beach is literally a block or so away, it was very easy to walk to, we watched sunrise and sunset from there a few times. You are 3-5 minutes away from Lawai and Poipu beach (driving) and both are fantastic for snorkeling. You can easily walk to both but it’s closer to a mile. We walked to Poipu twice in the mornings. The kitchen was stocked with everything from a blender and toaster to Tupperware and measuring cups. The cross breeze, if you open the front and back doors, was wonderful and we usually chose that during the day but we opted for A/C at night in the bedroom. It keep it cool and comfortable while we slept. There is a giant tv in the family room and another good sized one in the bedroom. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable, perfect for a good night’s rest. Jerry was SO good about responding quickly to any questions I had and was a wonderful host! We especially loved the keypad entry so we didn’t have to worry about losing a room key. As we walked around the town and drove around the rest of the island, we seriously couldn’t find a spot we would have rather stayed. It was absolutely perfect! We definitely plan on coming back here to stay again!
