We had an amazing stay. Check-in was easy, and the villa was exactly as pictured. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook some great meals at home. It was so close to both Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach. We would definitely stay there again!!!

Our stay at this villa was perfect! The house is beautiful, great location, and had everything we needed to make a memorable vacation with our family on Kauai. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable. The back lanai is perfect for morning coffee or having dinner around the table. The short walk to the beach is convenient and the pool is right outside of the condo but we never heard any noise. Would love to stay here again sometime!

The kitchen had everything we needed, sitting out on the porch each night was great, the pool was nice and we were so close to it, and the best part was being only a short 5 min walk from a great beach! We went there every evening to watch the turtles swim up onto the shore. We would have loved more beach towels in the condo, and a second wagon to haul the beach items. There was only one and it was sketchy and about to fall apart. Other than those 2 minor things, everything was excellent!

Wow! What an amazing stay my family had at the Villa. Everything was as advertised, plus more! The communication, comfort, "at-home" feel, location, roomy-ness. I could go on and on, but to summarize. We had a perfect week. We would all stay there again.

We came for a family vacation and to run the Kauai marathon. I cannot say enough about the property! Perfect location with a gorgeous pool/hot tub right out the door! Off the lanai in back was the trail to the beach with a wagon to carry the beach chairs. Quick walk to town, beach, restaurants. Loved the kitchen as well. One of our favorite things was walking at sunset to the beach to watch the turtles come to shore. This was a truly memorable trip and we are appreciative!!! Mahalo

Great three bedroom, three bathroom condo in a beachside community. 10 minute walk to the beach with plenty of beach chairs and other beach accessory’s available. Pool is very nice as well. Great location to shops and restaurants. Communication is great, cleanliness is top notch and overall staying here was a great experience.

We are experienced travelers and renters on Maui. We've been aware that this is one of the newer complexes in this neighborhood and were curious about it's finishes. Everything was high quality, the A/C was very good and the kitchen and bathrooms finely appointed. While there, we decided that we wanted to book the same unit again, but the timing didn't work out so we were unable to re-book. But, that's usually a good sign that the place was nice enough that we wanted to rebook for the next year. Owners were responsive to email and texts. All units are next to the pool, but the lanai and master bedroom faces away from the pool so the noise of playing kids in the pool is muted.

Property is exactly like the pictures in listing. Very roomy and spacious for our group of 6; 4 adults and 2 teens. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were well stocked and had everything we needed. Management was very responsive for 1 issue and it was fixed in a timely manner the very next day. Walk to beach is paved and a short 5 min walk. Property has everything you would need for fun day at the beach. Recommend walking down to the beach during sunset and staying through the evening to see the turtles :) Restaurants are very busy and highly recommend making reservations EARLY!

This villa is outstanding. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. Honestly I cant say enough about how perfect it is: well stocked kitchen, walking distance to Poipu Beach, immediate responses from owners for a few questions, and just beautiful all around. We just got home this morning and cannot wait to go back.

The Villa was spacious and well situated for easy 5-min walks to the best beach in the area. First floor. Easily accessible. Quiet. Spacious for six adults and one child. Beautiful furniture and close parking. Definitely recommend to anyone not wanting to be dependent on driving to access the beach or shaved ice! Also staying at a resort with a Mountain and Ocean view made us feel like paradise was all around us! Great weather for the tail end of the rainy season!

Our family stayed at this ground floor Villa for 2 weeks and absolutely loved it. We would stay there again when visiting Poipu.
- The check in process was easy with good instructions for getting to the property. Google maps was off by one corner but that was easy to figure out. Getting in was also easy.
- Property managers were responsive to any needs or concerns that we had. In fact they would normally respond within 30-60 minutes of my email. I appreciated that!
- this place is located on a walkway that will take you to Poipu beach (5 minutes) and Shipwreck beach (10 minutes) which is extremely convenient. I believe that is one benefit you don’t quite understand until you actually get there.
- We had a group of 7 adults and 2 children and it worked out very well for sleeping and eating. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep in beds. We used one of the air mattresses which was our choice and it worked well.
- Kitchen is outstanding and is well stocked with cooking utensils.
- Parking can get a little thin during certain days but for the most part we were able to get a spot in the designated area.
- Pool and Hot tub on this property were great and never overly busy. Our family loved it and used it almost every day.
- Lanai was large and had plenty of seating and a nice table to eat at.
- The beach toys/accessories that come with the property are wonderful. Two wagons made it easy to haul things back and fourth.
- As you can tell our family loved this place and we cannot really find much negative to say about it. There were minor issues that were taken care of right away but those issues happen in our own homes and just need to be dealt with.

This villa was everything we hoped it would be! It’s a gorgeous unit within a beautiful property. I love to cook and this unit was better equipped than any other rental we’ve stayed in, including a great stock of spices.
It’s truly is a short walk to three beaches. The owners were very responsive often responding within a matter of minutes (not that we had much to communicate about). We’ve already discussed going back next year to the same place. You will not be disappointed!

Our stay at Sugar Sands Villa was a fantastic home base for our family. The layout and location can't be beat for a vacation with young kids. The large doors that open onto the patio and the pathway to Poipu beach out the back door were a huge bonus. The unit was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and included two wagons, three boogie boards, two folding chairs, two umbrellas, and some sand toys for use. We all wished we could have stayed longer and plan to stay at Sugar Sands again in the future.

This is a beautiful spot with a pool just outside the door and a short walk to the beach. Bedrooms are spacious and each has a bathroom which makes things simple. Had all that we needed and even had toys for the baby and puzzles/games for adults. We will return!

The Sugar Sands Villas is a great option near Poipu Beach on Kauai. The only issue we had was a malfunctioning air conditioner that took the first 2 nights to get our sleeping temperature below 73C. Other than that, this place was great.

My husband and I stayed at a nearby resort before meeting up with the family at Sugar Sands Villa and we wished we had stayed there the entire time! It was so spacious (the rooms and bathrooms were so large, high ceilings, great big island in the kitchen), impeccably clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, well-equipped from the kitchen to the beach gear, and the location was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and we loved having the beach just a short stroll away - being ablate watch the turtles come up on the shore to sleep in the evening (we saw about 70 at once!) and watch them go outing the morning was a magical experience. In general, the walking path along the water was beautiful - it's like living in a painting. I can go on and on about our trip and the area (fantastic restaurants, hiking, shopping, adventures (my 67 year old mom zip-lined upside down!), snorkeling- so much to do locally. Back to Sugar Sands Villa - we could not have been happier with our stay from start to finish and we are already excited to go back - we wouldn't choose anywhere else!

The location was excellent with a short walk to Poipu Beach and Brenneke’s. The walkway was just off the lanai and despite some concerns about privacy it did not interfere with our enjoyment of the lanai. We even had a great view of the sunset. Easy access to the pool and just a short walk to the parking. We had everything we needed from pool towels to beach chairs and a well stocked kitchen. The owners were welcoming and very helpful.

Clean and newer condition - hard to find in Kauai! Ground floor unit so upstairs with kids running around can get noisy but is expected. The spaciousness, cleanliness and condition of the place made it extremely comfortable.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at the Sugar Sands Villa. The villa was clean, spacious and beautiful, we especially loved the folding glass doors leading out to the Lanai. The villa was well stocked with everything we needed. Having 3 bedrooms and bathrooms gave everyone plenty of space.
We gathered at the pool, connected and dined on the lanai nightly. This condo provided for all our needs, a cooler...water toys...beach umbrellas...to a wagon to cart it all. We definitely appreciated the cooler, we were able to pack drinks and snacks for our long day field trips on the island. The Big Save near the condo was so convenient for our groceries. We stayed two nights but made it well worth it, traveled to Tip Top for breakfast, walked it off at Makauwahi Cave Trail, Puka dogs for lunch and sat at Poipu Beach, Princeville, Hanalei, The Spot for Acai bowls, Limahuli, Ha'ena State Park walk the lo'i patches and Ke'e Beach. We definitely made our 2 days well worth it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sugar Sands Villa. Hope to return one day!

The villa was absolutely perfect for our family! Clean, good amenities, plenty of pool and beach equipment! We all loved the pool (too bad the jacuzzi jets were not working the 7 days we were there). Short walk to the beach and lovely first floor lanai! More parking stalls are needed and at least instructions on where overflow parking is located. Other than that, awesome villa to vacation in!

The villa is comfortable and clean, in a great location. We had a wonderful time. Heads up that if you are expecting to use the pack and play or crib you should bring your own sheets or warn the owners before arrival that you will be using them.

Beautiful first floor 3br 3 bth condo. Five minute walk to either Brennecke Beach or Grand Hyatt Resort. Six (senior) adults had plenty of room to relax on patio or poolside when not sightseeing. Beach accessories aplenty and the cart to carry them was great. Lovely grounds well cared for.

The unit is in a great location - easy walking to Poipu Beach, Shipwreck Beach, tennis courts and is a few steps from the pool. The unit itself is lovely with a great lanai. We especially appreciated the crib, high chair and booster seat and also the varied assortment of spices in the pantry. The host was super responsive to our questions and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. We also appreciated access to a workout room.

From being able to walk to Shipwrecked Beach and Poipu Beach, to just relaxing by the pool and hot tub, this property was the best! We loved the extras the owners provided like beach chairs and boogie boards to the Tupperware and ability to wash our laundry…it’s the small things that really made it a great place to stay!!

Beautiful & tropical surroundings enhanced our annual family Hawaiian vacation! The villa is equally desirable with both its location and wonderfully appointed furniture and amenities. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and was spacious enough for everyone to pitch in and prepare meals.
We gathered, connected and dinned on the lanai daily. It was also the first time we did not have to purchase beach necessities for it has everything you will need from an ice chest...water toys...beach umbrellas...to a wagon to cart it all. It was definitely one of the most peaceful settings making it a very memorable vacation and we hope to book it again!!

We were a group of 3 couples and we could not have been happier with our accommodations in Poipu! The Villa is spacious and comfortably decorated. We had everything we needed! Perfect location within easy walking distance to Poipu Beach, Brenecke’s, Kalapaki Joes (awesome happy hour btw) and also Shipwreck Beach in the opposite direction. Each afternoon/evening, we’d come back from our adventures, lounge in the pool and hot tub and make our way to the beautiful lanai which overlooks the green belt.
Each morning on the Lanai, we’d have the Best “Aloha feels” seeing families stroll by with their kids, older folks walking by hand in hand, free range chickens with baby chicks looking for a snack…it would have been easy to stay at the condo and not leave, but there’s so much to do! Kayaking on Wailua, hiking at Waimea Canyon, tubing through canals, visiting Princeville and Hanalei! The owners are great and worked with us through Covid shutdowns which required us to rebook… communication was quick and thoughtful.
Just do yourself a favor, stop scrolling and book this place already! :)

This was our second time staying in this unit. We loved having a ground floor lanai leading straight to the path to the beach which is about a 7 min walk. The unit is spacious and well equipped for 6 adults. We enjoyed early morning walks to see the turtles, snorkeling and lazy days on the beach. Brennecke’s restaurant is a short walk. Justin was very helpful with my questions. We look forward to returning again soon.

This was our first vacation in over a year and we were very pleased with the accommodations. The unit was very spacious and well maintained. The kids spent most of the day at the pool, the beach was only a short trek down the hill. Some of the amenities were tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, gym, and a club house. There was a nice restaurant and bar within walking distance. Electric bike rentals were also available.

We really enjoyed our stay in this villa, it was everything we expected and more. William was super easy to communicate with and replied ASAP to answer any questions before and during the trip. He even went out of his way to have another beach chair available to us before we arrived. When we walked through the door we were greeted with a welcome sign, a bottle of bubbly and some chocolates. The villa itself was so comfortable and luxurious, everybody had their own space. The floor to ceiling doors out to the lanai were lovely and we opened them as soon as we woke in the morning. Appliances were all top notch and in working order. Air conditioning throughout the villa was refreshing after being out and about. My favourite thing about this villa was the pool, it was a very comfortable temperature and not crowded. Also it is a very quick and easy walk to the beach.
We definitely recommend this place to families young and old!!!

My husband and kids absolutely loved our trip to Kauai. Justin was a great host, very clear check-in instructions and had some great recommendations for food and activities. Beach gear in the condo was a nice surprise and kept the kids busy. There is a beautiful walking path just outside the patio that can take you to a couple different beaches 5-10 minutes away. We highly recommend this vacation home.

Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this incredible Villa. This place was perfect in every way for our family of 6 with 3 large bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. We loved taking our meals out to the lanai, the weather was great and the patio furniture is very comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the pool and exploring the different beaches within walking distance of the unit. We attending an amazing Luau at the Grand Hyatt which is only a 10 minute walk from the Villa. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit Kauai

This Villa hosted by Justin was amazing. The check in process was so simple. No waiting in line like at a resort or carrying a key around, we entered our code and in we went. Immediately upon walking into the Villa we noticed how well organized and clean it was and how refreshing the air conditioning felt after walking around Poipu for most of the afternoon. This is described as a luxury villa and we would definitely agree.

We surprised our mother with a trip to Kauai with our family. The entire stay was better than anything we could have expected Even the drive to get to Poipu is spectacular as you drive through the majestic tree tunnel. We stayed in a few different spots but by far the Sugar Sands Villa was the best of the bunch. If you are looking for a first class accommodation in Poipu, then look no further. This is the place. We had 5 guests in total, Mom, Dad, two daughters and one boyfriend. Condo met all of our needs and then some. Clean, spacious, classy, and still super comfortable. The wide opening doors leading to the lanai were such a bonus. The whole complex is very private, well maintained and quiet! Not a lot of units so this is probably the result for all of the positives. Great BBQ's. The development seems to attract really good clientele and had some great pool moments and grill times. The walk to the beach, about 5 minutes through the greenway was a pleasure everyday. A walk through the greenway in the other direction gets you to the Grand Hyatt which features one of the nicest Starbuck locations I have ever visited. Just a short stroll in another direction gets you to Kalapaki Joes arguably one of the Islands best sports bars. Easy access and parking at the condo as well. We'll be back!!

Stayed at this superb Villa early April. It was excellent! High end appliances and plenty of room for our group. This place is a very short walk to both Brennecke's and Poipu beaches. It was nice to have the option of the semi-private pool or the beach throughout our stay. Owners were fantastic; answered all questions very quickly and they even had some local coffee waiting for us so we were ready for the mornings. Will be recommending to our family/friends for sure!
