We really enjoyed our stay at Poipu Palms. The condo was clean, well-appointed, and had all the things we needed to enjoy a lovely vacation. We enjoyed use of the boogie boards, and would have used the other beach equipment had we spent more time lounging on the beach. The lanai was a favorite spot for morning coffee and meals. We would absolutely stay here again!

This trip was a dream come true. The property was wonderful until the group of men above us arrived and they were very loud starting at 0430. The condo was beautiful, clean and had beautiful grounds. We loved watching the sea turtles off the deck!

This was the perfect place for my friend and I. Plenty of space with a wonderful view. The property is also pretty centrally located for driving to neighboring cities. When you're out and about in beautiful Poipu, it was always wonderful coming "home" to the beautiful ocean view to chill before your next activity. To just be able to see the beautiful ocean all day and hear it all night - will soothe every bit of stress out of your life. Highly recommend. Management extremely responsive - one fan was broken and Jeremy (name & number easily found in welcome binder) came shortly thereafter with a new one. Mahalo!

Poipu Palms 202 was a beautiful place to stay. Our family enjoyed the amazing view from the lanai every morning and evening. We were able to catch a glimpse of a pod of dolphins some days and everyday watched the enormous sea turtles swim near the rocks. The complex was located within walking distance to a couple of beaches and we also enjoyed dining at a few local eateries. Our drive to adventure out on the island was minimal and Kauai has now become our favorite island. Kristen kept us well informed about the facility during our stay. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for our family to stay! We will definitely be back.

We spent most of our time outside admiring the gorgeous view either on the patio or on the community lanai.
The first day we arrived the weather was hot and humid, we worried about the lack of air conditioning. It was quite warm inside the unit even with all of the doors and windows open. The kids jumped in the pool to cool off. Once the sun set it was fine. The remainder of our stay was not as warm.
The management was responsive to our needs. We were even out of dishwashing pods and they brought some for us to use. Having a laundry inside the unit was very convenient for bathing suits and towels.
Overall, we would come back to stay at this beautiful property.

Lovely condo in really the perfect location! Gorgeous view and very well appointed - worked quite well for our family of four. Quick walk or drive to Brennecke’s- our kids enjoyed using the provided body boards and sand toys. The pool was great and we enjoyed many meals and cocktails on the lanai watching sea turtles and dolphins.
There is no A/C, and while there are fans and a great cross breeze, leaving windows open means you can hear street noise which was slightly disruptive to sleep. That said, we would still stay here again in a heartbeat!

We were excited to take our adult son to Kauai for the first time and wanted to find the perfect place where we would all be comfortable. This unit was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of space, comfortable furnishings and amazing views! I was concerned about the lack of AC but was very comfortable with the fans and slept great!
We highly recommend this property and hope to be back for another visit!

This place needed a good cleaning. The
louvered doors near the master bed were thick with dust and there was hair on the floor of the linen closet and shower. We thought it should have been cleaner with what we paid for the cleaning fee.

We had a fantastic stay at Poipu Palms over Thanksgiving. The view is stunning and the sounds of the ocean can be heard from all areas of the condo. We slept with all the windows open so we could hear the ocean at night. the positioning of the condo on the second floor and how it is staggered from the neighbors made it feel completely private. The bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was the most the most stocked of any rental we have stayed at and it was a great location in proximity to Poipu beach. The small complex was quiet and private. We loved the deck overlooking the ocean and the kids loved the pool. The owners and management company are extremely accommodating and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

No A/C which is not a problem but that means you need every available window open for a breeze. And with that comes all the noise. Because all the units are so close together you can hear EVERYTHING! If you are light sleeper, this will be a problem. You can hear drunk people on the lanai, traffic from the road, conversations by people walking by, street walkers, etc. It’s a lovely unit but the stomping in the unit above gets tiring. I slept with active noise cancelling headphones on. Comfortable beds, great location, AWESOME ocean views. Just really noisy.

The ocean is an overwhelming presence. It breathes, it roars, it sings. The colors are ever changing. The palm trees are swaying in the breeze. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed at.
On a more practical side, the bedrooms were very nice, the bathrooms perfect and the kitchen splendidly equipped. The living room spacious and welcoming. The lanai (balcony) the focus of our stay - we had all our meals there at the table for four.
The swimming pool was very nice and my granddaughter loved it.
The grounds are beautiful and well kept.
All in all - a wonderful experience!

We had an AMAZING week long stay. The beach chairs and umbrella were so helpful. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. We did see several turtles off the sun deck. Loved the location, so close to Poipu Beach and places to eat etc.

We were super selective choosing a property for one of our last family vacations before our oldest graduates. This property exceeded expectations.
Everything is updated, beautiful, comfortable and leaves nothing to want. The condo has beautiful appliances, detergent, etc.
The view is beyond proper description. We enjoyed early quiet mornings with coffee, and evenings listening to the surf. It’s a 15 out Of 10.

We had a fantastic time celebrating our daughter's high school graduation. The view from the lanai is amazing, and the property is also walking distance to both Poipu beach (good snorkling and turtles coming on the beach to rest every night) and the Grand Hyatt (Tidepools restaurant). We also really appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed and the beach gear all seemed relatively new (coolers, beach chairs, etc). Highly recommend!

Our fourth trip to the islands, our fourth island, our third VRBO rental, and our best stay yet! Unit 202 at Poipu Palms exceeded the description as advertised. Great space, perfect size, excellent location, and turtles swimming in the sea below us all day long. I highly recommend it to anyone (small family or couple) and will definitely book again on our return to Kauai international future. We recently spent 3 glorious nights at the Poipu Palms during a last-minute trip to Kauai. We have stayed several times at this complex in the past, but this was our first stay in this particular second-story unit. The (recently?) renovated and open kitchen/living room area of this unit is sparkling clean, functional and fantastic, with breathtaking views of the ocean from all of the windows and from the large lanai. The building was quite full during our stay, but, we were pleasantly surprised by how few people were using the small but functional swimming pool and the outside communal deck area. In the past, we have used the charcoal grill out on the lawn, but we didn't this time (nor did anyone else) during our short visit.
The condo location is safe and convenient for an easy walk to Poipu Beach park at sunset or to nearby restaurants at some of the larger hotels in the area.
We had great communication with the property manager. We just wish we could have stayed for another week!

We truly enjoy staying here as it was pretty centrally located to anything on the South end of Kauai. We saw sea turtles swimming by from the sun deck and after a short walk to Poipu beach, a monk seal and more sea turtles.
Everything was as stated.
Little fish coffee, just like 5 mins away had really good food, as did hologrill.
Went on an ATV tour at Kipu Ranch Adventures and all of us loved it and would recommend it.

This is our 6th or 7th stay at Poipu Palms since the mid-90s. We’ve usually rented 303 or 203. This was our first stay in 202. It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is fully equipped. The full range of toys and equipment for the pool & beach was wonderful. The manager was very responsive and helpful. Our only suggestion — one or two chaise lounges on the lanai or, at minimum, a couple of footstools for the chairs. Mahalo for a very relaxing 3 weeks!! We’ll be back to Poipu Palms!

Everything about this place was perfect. The owners and property manager made sure our stay was comfortable and easy. We had to change some dates last minute and they were very accommodating and so kind and helpful. The condo is gorgeous. The location is amazing and the view is incredible. You can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean from the master bedroom, watch turtles and whales from the huge lanai and cook a full meal in the well stocked kitchen. The condo is very comfortable, clean and modern, more spacious than it appears in photos and the bedrooms are well separated for privacy (perfect for us with a teenager). They have thought of everything- extra towels, pillows, beach chairs, coolers, beach toys, umbrella….The building has a small number of units and is laid out well for privacy between units. The pool, pool deck and patio overlooking the ocean are gorgeous and we spent every sunset out there. Can’t say enough about this condo and the owners/manager. Exactly what we needed. Mahalo! We’ll be back.

What a great place to spend a week with your family in paradise. I don’t think I’ll stay in a hotel again. Being able to relax on the lanai with coffee and make breakfast was ideal. We used every amenity. The pool, terrace, and grounds were perfect. We never felt crowded. The louvered windows were perfect to allow the sound of the crashing waves throughout the house. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed, and having a W/D makes all the difference going home with suitcases full of clean clothes.

The location is perfect! I can’t say enough about the view. You can hear the waves and relax watching the water. The condo looks recently remodeled and the colors put you into immediate, island relaxation mode. Enter the parking area from the furthest driveway if you don’t have a 4WD because lower cars will bottom out due to the steepness. Also, the shower head in the main bathroom is much nicer and more comfortable than the master one. The kitchen is very well stocked which I really appreciated. Highly recommend this unit! Would love to come back soon! Absolutely one of the nicest units we’ve been in! ❤️

We spent a lot of time at Da Crack (burritos; order online to save time), Waikomo Shave Ice (which is all-natural and amazing), and the little market between the two with a Poke bar inside. Happy Hour at Merrimans and Eating House is not to be missed. Wonderful home base for this whole trip!

The property was very clean with updated amenities. We were able to sit out on the balcony every night and eat diner, have drinks and watch the ocean waves crash against the shore line. We saw tons of turtles swimming in the surf!
The temps in Poipu were mid 70's to mid 80s. I am one who can not sleep when it is warm. This was a small concern for me when booking this unit with out AC. We were able to turn on the fans and open the windows to keep it cool enough.
The unit did come with multiple boogie boards (the smaller ones were not in great shape, but our son still enjoyed), coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and some sand toys. Also, the kitchen was fully stocked. Overall this unit exceeded all of our wants and needs. We had a very comfortable and refreshing stay.

This review is a little belated as we stayed at this unit in Poipu Palms in mid to late July 2021. We have stayed in the Poipu area many times in the past in different condos and rentals and we can say with confidence that this is one of the nicest units we’ve ever had and one of the best locations. The unit was exceptionally well maintained and had absolutely every possible item that you could imagine needing while staying there. There were lots of staples as well and even a few bottles of rum! There were beautiful flowers and cookies upon our arrival and the property manager Diane was extremely responsive to the one or two issues we had. The unit was very clean and well-maintained and updated and the view was absolutely unparalleled. The building only has 12 units so it feels cozy and not like a sprawling condo complex. You can walk to Brenneke beach and the general Poipu area and it is close to everything but yet tucked away in an upscale residential neighborhood. We could not recommend this unit highly enough and hope to return soon.

We had an incredible week at Poipu Palms and I can’t recommend it enough. My husband and our 2 kids (5 and 8) absolutely loved our stay. The condo is so clean and fresh and the location is fantastic. It is truly stocked with everything for the beach which made it easy and fun. It’s also really well organized to make it easy to unpack and settle in. We have stayed at many VRBOs that we enjoyed but this one takes the cake! Thanks so much to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise. I hope we are able to come back someday!
