Aloha, this condo is located in the beautiful Poipu Kai resort at the Sands!
The view from the condo is outstanding, just as pictured in the unit ad!
The host responded immediately to all communication. Check in was a breeze!
The Grand Hyatt is .4 of a mile from the condo’s back door! We made great use of the Hyatt, eating there 3 times, having massages and spending an entire day at their pool using a day pass! All of that without spending $1,400 a night to stay there!
The only item that caught us a bit by surprise was the air conditioning. The ad highlights AC and there is a portable AC unit in the bedroom. Our expectation was a whole house ducted system, but the portable unit kept the bedroom comfortably cool! We deducted one star from the Listing Accuracy for this.
We definitely will return as the location for the price is a wonderful value! Mahalo

We had a great stay and chose the property because of its walking distance proximity to the Hyatt where I had a conference for 5 days. The owner was responsive and accommodating and there was plenty of equipment to cook with and great wifi. We never could figure out the TV in the living room (would suggest a manual for future guests) and therefore watched the baseball playoffs on the bedroom TV. My only additional gripe was that where the unit was located, the generally strong trade winds didn't seem to easily flow through this unit. Walking the property grounds, there were other locations where the wind seemed to blow stronger. When I propped the front door open, I was able to get a bit of a tunnel effect, but the main living areas where always a bit too warm for me in the PM. There is window AC in the bedroom that was "adequate" and some portable fans that we used as well to get the temp down enough for sleeping, but perhaps not down to my preferred sleeping temp. Please note, that the AC unit situation is likely typical for all units at the Poipu Sands and not just this one. All in all, a great location on a great island!

We enjoyed a very nice stay in this rental. The location is central to everything we wanted, the property was very clean, comfortable, beautiful, and stocked with more than everything we needed. We enjoyed having the pool so close and a nice ocean view. We didn’t want for anything, and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

Poipu Sands is a phenomenal property. We stayed for 3 weeks and we absolutely loved it. The views were breathtaking and the condo was equipped with everything a person could ask for. The air conditioner in the bedroom was a very nice touch. We would stay in this unit again in a heartbeat!

This place was perfect! The beach is nearby. If you don’t have a car you can use instacart to get groceries delivered. There are some restaurants nearby but overall a very pleasant experience

We have stayed in several units; they all have good views but this unit also has a view of the ocean from the front door/living room. We really enjoyed this particular view. Poipu Sands is a fabulous property and anyone who hasn't tried it should definitely do it. Aloha!

We loved staying here. The location was great as it was easy to get to Waimea Canyon and to the North Shore which were both things we wanted to do while visiting Kauai. The weather is consistently more sunny here which we enjoyed. Nice location to a beach and on past the beach a beautiful coastal hike. The pool is very nice and we loved our time pool side. Comfortable bed and we were glad for the room air conditioner for sleeping. Nice kitchen with all the needed supplies. The beach chairs and umbrella came in handy as did the washer and dryer. I have high expectations with regard to cleanliness and this property met them. Communication was great when we needed it. I would stay here again.

We loved this unit the minute we walked in. It was roomy and well cared for. The kitchen was large and had everything I needed to cook meals. The view was perfect, we could see Shipwreck Beach from the lanai. It was an easy walk to the beach. We are older but tend to walk to the beach every day. This unit was perfect for us. Scott was easy to communicate with and has been helping us find comparable units for next year. I highly recommend this unit!

Over 40 years I’ve stayed in every building. Positives of this unit: ground floor allows easy access to pool. Unit has direct view of ocean and sunrise from lanai. Kitchen is very well equipped. Excellent communication with Scott the property mgr. Minor negatives: second day I was there the lock to door froze and I couldn’t get in. Luckily the owners were on the property and Scott was able to connect with them. I got in and locksmith came next day. There are a few minor things that are in need of repair, just a result of wear over time. Poipu Sands will always be my first choice on Kauai. I would recommend this unit.

The property itself was good. Poipu doesn’t have much there. Make sure to shop for food before coming to poop is there are markets and restaurants open intermittently. Be prepared for wind.

This condo had everything we needed and more. It was in a great location where we could see the sunrise every morning and had a view of the ocean. It was very close to the pool too. The grand Hyatt was nearby to walk too and the beach. The actual condo was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The condo even had beach chairs. The property manager was very responsive too. My only wish is that the check out time was a little later.

Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Nice warm pool - great for swimming in, with big umbrellas to sit and relax around. Great walking paths all around the property and by the ocean.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and highly recommend it. The condo is very thoughtfully furnished with all the amenities you might need in the kitchen, beach and snorkle gear etc. We very quickly felt at home here. The location is fantastic, with an easy walk to Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach and a do-able walk to Poipu Beach and the nearby restaurants (for those that don't mind some extra steps). The property and neighborhood was nice and quiet while we were there and the pool area was nice as well (prettier than pictured in my opinion). Overall, we had a lovely stay and will likely be back.

This is one of the nicest VRBO we have stayed in!! The kitchen and living room is very spacious and incredibly nice. Kitchen is stocked with literally everything you’ll need. The bbq’s are just a very short walk away and we loved using them! Having a cooler was very nice!! There is snorkel gear and umbrella that we didn’t notice till
Our last day!!! The bedroom with A/C is an absolute game changer!!! Best nice sleep being cool and quiet! Great bathrooms and storage space! We will be back, already looking into dates! Owner is very attentive and you can tell he wants renters to enjoy thier stay!!! Thanks again!!!

This unit is situated to maximize the ocean breeze, or at least felt that way. The layout is ideal, the accessories are complete and the walk to the beach is just long enough, but not too long. We were here in late July, and did not use the AC, simply not needed. Manager was responsive and accommodating. Would stay here again, without any hesitation.

What an amazing condo! Too many thoughtful amenities to list and very clean. Excellent location close to the water and all that Poipu has to offer. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening cocktails gazing out at the very pretty view of the ocean from the covered patio. Nicely manicured grounds. Communication was excellent and the property even nicer than the photos show. Loved everything about it and wish our stay was longer!

Large comfortable condo with all the amenities needed. Liked the extra half bath. Bed was very comfortable. The view of the ocean was great with trade winds as promised! (Which was good considering the bright morning sun.) Walking through the greenbelt to the beach and Hyatt was very pleasant. Loved the friendly sparrows, mynahs and red crested cardinals every day looking for crumbs. Parking was really good, close to our building (1). BBQ area was close and convenient.
Did not need the AC which was OK, as we found upon arrival the vent hose was disconnected. So we texted and sent a picture of it to the maintenance contact. Still disconnected when we left. Our first Kauai stay, thank you! Hopefully we will return!

The property was exactly like the photos. Convenient to beach and nessities. Don’t miss the resting sea turtles on Poipu Beach in the early morning. Management communication was excellent. Highly recommend.

Pretty photos and praising prose are likely to raise expectations, and they did, in my case. Every expectation was met, and in some cases, exceeded. Highly recommended. I stayed in 115. The same property owner has another unit at Poipu Sands as well.

What a great unit. Clean, spacious, great amenities, quiet and convenient. Several long walking paths to beautiful ocean views or walk to town (2miles). I also had friends staying at the grand Hyatt Nextdoor so they made the entire trip. Was able to walk over to use their pool, restaurants, and beautiful facilities. Great value for a Hawaiin condo on Kauai.

Upon arriving at the rental in Poipu, we were blown away! The rental unit was large, spacious, immaculate, and loaded with great amenities that made our stay incredibly enjoyable. Having spent the first half of our trip in Princeville in a rather underwhelming rental, this unit was such a pleasant surprise and we immediately wished we had opted to spend more time there.
The unit is located walking distance to the beautiful Grand Hyatt and a few amazing beaches. Short drive to Poipu beach, spouting horn, and tons of great dining options. The property pool is also just steps away from the sliding glass door.
I could not recommend this rental more, you won't be disappointed!

The reasonably priced condo was nicely set up in a wonderful location. A relaxing sandy beach was just a few minutes walk away. There was also an abundance of walking trails with beautiful views of the coastline and pacific. Being early risers, we were treated to beautiful sunrises each morning. We would definitely recommend this property.

Everything was good. Ground floor is a thing you don't think of until you realize how many times you go in and out of your place. The pool is very close, the beach is a short walk and in sight from the dining table. We had no problems. The lock box was a little stubborn but other than that it was a great rental. Would choose this condo again!

Choosing this location and this condo for our perfect vacation was the best thing we did for our first visit to Kauai. The description of the listing was exactly what we found on arrival; spacious, 1 bedroom, tropical landscaping with a stellar view of the ocean and the bluff. and spectacular sunrises. The condo complex is in a very quiet location, quiet neighbours and limited traffic noise from the street.The kitchen had the basics: salt and pepper, Italian seasoning and sugar: compared to other experiences ... not well stocked. There were also some basic condiments left in the fridge. The heritage walking trails and the paved walks throughout the Poipu Kai resort made for beautiful morning walks. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach towels were appreciated. The washer/dryer is a bonus. We also spent many days at various beaches and snorkelling. The beach chairs were put to good use. Thank you. The buildings are currently being painted on the exterior, but created minimal daytime noise and inconvenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the aloha spirit of Kauai. Mahalo.

Would highly recommend this Poipu condo.
Good location the price was right.
• 30 second walk to the pool.
• 7 minute walk to Shipwreck beach past the Hyatt on a paved trail.
• 20 minute walk to Poipu beach or like a 2-minute drive.
The bed was comfortable. Had two bathrooms, which was nice, did not have to wait for someone to get out of the bathroom. Large walk in Shower.
Had two beach chairs and an umbrella we took to the beach many times. And some other random things like cooler and flashlight.
Well stocked kitchen, cooked many meals in the condo. Very nice stove and oven for cooking
Keys:
Some confusion with the keys. The instructions did not match the keys we found. We were told there were keys to another pool with a hot tub but were not given those keys.
The front door lock was older or weathered and it took us a few minutes to figure it out thought maybe had the wrong keys or at the wrong place. Deadbolt was hard to lock also.
You have to key yourself in and out of the pool. Could not get out without a key, so the whole party had to go into the pool and out at the same time. We were concerned it might be a safety issue, what if emergency services needed to get in.
Overall good stay and would probably stay again if ever went to Kauai.

The condo was well equipped and had a great view out the Lanai. We are so grateful we had a chance to stay here. It also had beach chairs and and umbrella that came in useful. The location to the pool was great and the grounds were pristine.
The only thing that needs adjustment is the bedroom doors would not stay shut to keep the bedroom cold since that is the only space with air con. Also there was no way to use the jacuzzi that was advertised. But overall we absolutely loved it and we would definitely book again!!

This property has everything you need to have an amazing stay on Kauai. Beautiful views, close to beaches and restaurants, a closet full of beach gear, nice pool, quiet surroundings and a beautiful furnished condo make this the perfect rental for your time in Poipu. (The air conditioner in the bedroom was especially appreciated at night.) It is so close to many great walks, especially our nightly walks through the beautiful Grand Hyatt grounds. The property manager Scott was great to work with and made sure we had all the information we needed to make our stay feel like our second home. We can't wait to come back!
