This condo is clean and beautifully appointed. The beds were super comfortable. Everything you need is here. While it lacks a view of the ocean, you feel like you are in a tree house. Very quiet and a beautiful clean pool just steps away. The only draw back is, if you are susceptible to heat, it is very hard to cool down the house. There is usually plenty of breeze coming in from the east side of the house but the rest of the house is very hard to get cool. Especially, the master bedroom.There were 5 fans provided and we used all of them to cool down the rooms at night.

Very centrally located to things in this area. It is on the second level so be ready to schlep your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. I would stay here again for sure.

We had such a great time staying at the property. First, Scott was so extremely helpful. I must have emailed him a dozen times asking for suggestions and recommendations for food, dining, best place for fishing, for surf lessons, and everything else. He responded super quickly to each question (less than a day, if not a couple hours).
Second, the condo is spacious and very clean. The kitchen is stocked with spices (salt, pepper), and the condo had a sufficient amount of general purpose household items (toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap) to get us started. Super helpful because we arrived very late the first night. Also had boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. This particular condo is not on the beach (none of them really are for this complex). It was fine for us. 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 second walk to the pool!
Third, the property is in such a convenient location. 5 minute walk to the Grand Hyatt, 5 minute drive to Poipu beach, and there's some type of Hilton (I think) vacation club right in front of the complex which has a pleasant poolside bar. We used the condo complex's quiet pool quite a bit. The kids used the tennis courts as well. There's a really neat little E-bike rental place next to the tennis courts too.

The condo was perfect for four adults, very comfortable and roomy. Kitchen was perfectly equipped, and the balcony was wonderful to read and visit with the warm tradewinds. Beautifully furnished, close to all the delicious restaurants and shopping centers. The pool was quiet and relaxing. We all had such a good time, no one wanted to leave! Gorgeous location.

We had a very nice time here. There was always lots of available parking spots right next to the condo. The entry process with the lock box was very easy to use. We appreciated the early check-in, which we cleared with Scott in advance.
The location of the condo was perfect. And it’s unique in that there are no attached neighbors. Even though there wasn’t a view of the ocean, we had a gorgeous view of the grounds from the lanai, and it was a very short walk to the beautiful pool, which wasn’t crowded. One day our teens enjoyed the hot tub in another complex in the resort. The garbage and recycling was very close and well-kept. It was a short walk to the Grand Hyatt (next door), Shipwreck Beach, and the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. I enjoyed going on 2-mile walks around the Poipu Kai Resort. We did hear roosters in the morning sometimes. One day we received advance notice that the pool would be closed for a few hours for palm tree trimming.
From the condo, it was a quick drive to two shopping malls, which the teens appreciated. It was a 7-min. drive to the local grocery store, and about 20-25 min. to Walmart and Safeway. It was about a 4-7 min. drive to Poipu Beach (nice!), Kiahuna Beach, and Brennecke’s, Puka Dog, and Koloa Pizza Kitchen restaurants, and 11 min. to Spouting Horn. We recommend the calm Lydgate Beach, about a 30 min. drive. Tubing through Kauai Backcountry Adventures, is also about a 30 min. drive.
The generally clean condo was very well-stocked (lots of beach equipment, including chairs, towels, umbrellas, a cooler, insulated bag, mats, water shoes, noodles, and boogie boards). The bathroom had all of the basics, including body wash, shampoo, tp, towels, and Kleenex. The kitchen had everything you might need to cook or bake, and there was tea, coffee, sugar, various spices, and oil. The washer and dryer was convenient, including detergent and a laundry basket. The large desk was useful as well. We enjoyed all of the many tv streaming services.
The beds were very comfy, although the pillows were very soft and flat. Every room had a fan, which helped cool us down, which we appreciated since there’s no AC.
Scott was very responsive when we had a couple issues, which we really appreciated. And our wi-fi issue was quickly resolved when we contacted the IT guy, Keenan.
I recommend this condo if you want a pleasant, convenient, relaxing vacation.

We had a great time here! The condo had a lot of the things needed for the kids. Beach stuff was well stocked. Kitchen was also well stocked. Location was ideal for exploring the south side of the island. Would definitely recommend this place to other families!

We absolutely loved this rental! It’s bright and spacious, has beautiful decor and is so well stocked. Everything was very clean. It had everything we needed and more in the kitchen/bedrooms, as well as beach supplies etc. I appreciated that it had washer/dryer/dishwasher, and my kids loved that it was so close to the pool (and a short walk to Shipwreck Beach). Air conditioning isn’t needed in this unit as there is a lovely breeze that flows through the kitchen and throughout the entire home (also ceiling fans in every room).
My parents stayed in building 3, and it was very beautiful with the ocean view, but it got very hot very early on in the day. Being tucked away in building 6 meant no ocean view, but our lanai stayed warm (not HOT) so it was usable all day every day that we were there, and that was huge to us. That being said, you cannot go wrong staying in absolutely any unit at Poipu Sands - it is such a gorgeous property and the most perfect, central location on Kauai!
We hope to stay here again one day!

Absolutely perfect! As we were packing to leave we realized there wasn't one thing that wasn't available and never a time we felt uncomfortable! Thank you, Scott for sharing your wonderful space with us. The unit was clean, comfortable, a great location, and fully stocked with everything needed except food and beverages. We all hope to visit again! BTW, a great spot for a sunset dinner is The Beach House:)

Scott was extremely helpful with offering advise for a first time vacation to Kauai and Keenan was immediately available to help out with Wi-Fi and cable tv issues! My wife and I celebrated our 41st anniversary and would love to come stay again!!

This is one of the finest places we have ever stayed. It is clean and very comfortable and unbelievably well stocked. They provides all the beach equipment you could want including an umbrella, body boards, chairs, coolers, inflatables, stuff for kids, water shoes and much more. The kitchen is a fully stocked kitchen as well. Every appliance you could need and tons of dishes. It can get a bit warm in the evening when the breeze dies down but they have numerous fans and that makes a huge difference. Communication with the owner was fast and very clear. The location is great, lots of things around and some amazing beaches close buy. We are looking forward to staying here again! You will not be disappointed.

This condo is perfectly situated in Poipu for easy strolls down to shipwrecks beach. Poipu town and the other Poipu beaches are only a short drive or bike ride away. The property manager was very responsive and helpful.

This property is very open and spacious. Great cross breeze throughout the entire condo. The ceiling fans are great. There are a lot of extra amenities provided, beach gear, boards, towels, pool noodles etc. Along with spices and sharp knives. Short walk to the pool but far enough away you weren't bothered by pool noise. Great walk from the condo to the Grand Hyatt with amazing views.

We had a great time in this condo and on Kauai. It is centrally located to get around the island. The lanai is awesome, we had no real direct sun, so comfortable anytime of day to relax with a serene view. People here were very friendly.
The beds were comfy. Pillows were not so great, kinda flat and no choices to switch out- one per person only. Kitchen had most everything needed. Had beach stuff, chairs (one not so great) towels, mats, noodles, umbrella, boogie boards but no ice chest. Beautifully decorated home and comfy. TV had lots of streaming options.
Pool and grounds are immaculate. Walk to Poipu was a bit long on a hot day, but doable. We drove since parking was easy and had our stuff to carry.
Wish list - a small map of Poipu Sands and surrounding, especially the greenbelt to walk to Poipu. It's when you come in to the area..a little hard to see. It's a nicer way to get there than the streets.
The only issue was ongoing work to several units, but this is not under the owner's control. Also bring your own laundry soap. Pleanty of softener choices.

The unit was well equipped with appliances and sports equipment (e.g., boogie boards, snorkel/fins, golf balls, tennis rackets). The unit is very comfortable and spacious for two couples with a large lanai with chaise lounges and a sofa and tables. The bathrooms and kitchen are a bit dated and both could use a thorough cleaning. Later checkout times would be nice in order to accommodate those with evening flight departures. We would definitely recommend this unit to anyone visiting the Poipu area. Scott was a good host who provided timely responses to our queries.

This is a very well appointed condo, spacious, clean, and comfortable and was very nicely decorated. Everything you needed to cook in or BBQ. The owners were very responsive and helpful. Due to operator error, we had to get help with the TV and Keenan was awesome!!! Lanai was large and had comfortable furniture. The whole exterior of the complex is very well maintained. They are currently sanding, repairing and painting the exterior of building 1 which did have a little noice associated with the power tools during the weekdays. This is something the owners obviously don’t have control over. We read that the pool was usually quiet and far enough away to not be an issue. During our 9 day stay, this was not the case. We had several large family group diving in the pool, playing Marco Polo and other annoying pool games and using floating devices., which the rules clearly state are only for young children such as water wings. These groups were clearly heard from the lanai. They left the pool by 6, so evenings were delightful. Many people we talked to said they had never experienced this here before, so it just must have been our bad luck in timing.

Great floor plan of the space. It perfectly suited our needs (traveling with two teenagers). The grounds were beautiful, a great way to wake up every morning! Loved it! We had "movie night" every night - thanks to the awesome DVD collection. So fun! Boogie boards, umbrella's, and chairs - oh yes.

This was a great place to stay while on Kauai! We liked being near shipwreck beach and found it way less crowded than poipu beach (although the waves are definitely stronger at shipwreck). The pool was nice too and very rarely had other swimmers there but the water was just a touch too chilly.
The condo itself was great. Plenty of space for our one year old to roam around and not too much that was breakable (we did move one floor vase to our closet for safe keeping but that was it haha). Laundry worked well and there was detergent and dryer sheets during our stay. Also lots of beach gear in the second closet (umbrellas for the beach and a regular one for rain, beach chairs and towels, body boards, flippers, beach balls and even a little umbrella stroller that was great for taking baby to shipwreck beach without having to carry him or take our big stroller that didn't move on sand).
The lanai was beautiful and we sat out there a few nights after baby's bedtime...you could hear the ocean waves from there.
My only two "issues" was the wifi was different from what was on the printout at the entry but the maintenance contact was able to help us find the new code quickly. And while the bed was great and super firm, the pillows were very soft and uncomfortable. Definitely double them up if you're looking for a bit more firmness there.
Lastly, if travelling with a baby or kids and you want a night out on your own we found a sitter on sittercity.com and thought she was great. Her name on there shows up as Charissa P and she provides references if you want them. We used her twice and thought she did great.

This place was exactly as advertised! It was within walking distance of the Grand Hyatt (this was a must have for our group) . The VRBO had all the essentials in the kitchen, bathrooms, and for the beach/pool. The location is perfect not just close to the Grand Hyatt but close to restaurants, beaches, and activities. The VRBO was comfortable even without AC, it did get stuffy in the afternoons but we also were there in August. The pool was always quiet, even if guest were there. My only wish was plastic cups/wine glasses for water and drinks at the pool or beach. Our group would definitely stay here again if we came back to Kauai!

We absolutely loved this beautiful home in Poipu for our family vacation!!! It is very well situated with a short walk to Shipwreck Beach and a 15 minute walk to Poipu Beach. The view into the beautifully landscaped lawn and pool area is relaxing and the ocean is just around the corner on a beautiful paved path. The home itself is very well appointed, stocked with everything we needed and more, beds are extremely comfortable and the outdoor lanai is very lovely!! Scott was excellent to communicate with, very helpful with tips and suggestions for enjoying the area!! We hope to be back again soon!!

The condo was great, fully equipped kitchen and laundry, comfortable living amenities including a heated pool to swim in at sunset. The Shipwreck beach is amazing to comb in the early morning. We went next door to the Hiatt for a Luau. The trip was amazing! My 26 year olds and I had a great vacation with all the comforts of home

We had a fantastic trip, condo was excellent, weather was great, restaurants were outstanding, Napoli sunset Cruise Is a must and so is a drive Waimea canyon lookout, but the best is a helicopter ride around the island of Kauai.

Great location in Poipu area. It is a second floor unit in a 2 floor building... there are no side neighbors so you get the breezes blowing through the unit. The mattresses are amazing. It is a 5 minute walk to the Hyatt and Shipwreck beach. It is a 15 minute walk via a pedestrian path to Poipu. The owner was very responsive to emails and questions. Quiet area. Nice furniture. Good (but smallish) kitchen that was well stocked. The unit has beach chairs, umbrellas, beach mats, and a cooler. Check in was super easy as there was a key in a lockbox. unit was clean. Koloa was 7 mins away (Big Save market) and Lihue bout 25 mins (Costco and Safeway). We would book this unit again for sure.
