I am technologically challenged so check in was difficult for me. But...after we were settled in, everything was fantastic. Our host had provided everything we needed for beach visits and for food prep so we could just relax.

We were so grateful for this last minute available condo. The property manager promptly replied to our request AND even had the condo available one day early for us. The property was very clean and spacious. it was walking distance to shipwrecks beach as well as Poipu beach. There was a washer and dryer inside the unit and the master bathroom/shower was beautiful!

Excellent property and a perfect location. This was our fifth stay at a Poipu Sands property. This unit #211 overall was very good. The living room furniture could use updating and new paint in some areas would be a good investment. We thoroughly enjoyed this unit and plan to go back again.

Nicely decorated, spacious 2bed, 2bath condo. Quick walk to the beach, and even quicker walk to the pool. Location is in quiet Poipu, about 15 minute drive to Lihue for supplies and services, but just a few minutes drive to restaurants and a Starbucks. Southside of island so easy drive to Waimea Canyon with excellent hiking. We'd definitely stay here again.

The location of the condo was the best. We especially liked that it was an end unit on the ground floor right on the grass. The pool was right across from the condo and that was ideal for a family. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.

This Poipu Sands is a great place to stay, very comfortable, well equipped and nicely decorated. The location is perfect, just a short stroll to Shipwreck beach and the Hyatt, or a quick drive to Poipu Beach park. The ground floor location makes for an easy in and out, and the beautiful is just steps away.

We just completed a mid-August weeks’ stay at this unit. Our grandson was with us. We chose this ground unit for its proximity to the pool. We were elated to find an expansive covered patio, with dining for four, 2 awesome chaise lounger’s (fun naps), four more patio chairs with small tables, with patio room to spare. We were pleasantly impressed with how much privacy and space, with still being close to the pool. The views off this patio were travel posters. Towards the left, unobstructed view of shipwreck beach (smooth cool breezes!). We’d watch the divers jump off the cliff points at the East end of this beach. If you’re an early risers, watching sunrises from this unit was simply grabbing a patio chair, walking on the grass may 20 steps, easy to do with cup of coffee, and sit in your chair facing East. Again another travel poster view! We happened to be in Poipu, at the same time other friends were there. One stayed in an ocean front rental West of us, nearer to Lawai, another at the Point of Poipu, another near the public beach at Poipu. My wife and I noticed each night we had dinner plans together, everyone wanted to meet at this unit for wine and conversation. Our friends described our unit as being “plush” and were amazed (perhaps a little jealous) on how well of our unit was provisioned, in the kitchen (pantry, utensils, glass & patio), bedrooms, bathrooms and even laundry room (beach chairs, floaties, tennis racquets). Parking is perfect. Owners is responsive and pleasure to converse with. Perhaps you could consider ignoring this review. We’d love to stay here again, if we can find an opening. Aloha

We had a fantastic stay at the property! The proximity to the pool and Shipwreck Beach for the sunrise was unbelievable. The condo had everything we needed and was close to so much in Poipu. There were four boogie boards, a football, a beach umbrella, cooler, and tennis rackets available for our use, which was amazing! We weren’t 100% sure if not having AC was going to work for us, but Scott and all of the other reviews were absolutely right - we didn’t need it! The winds at night cooled the whole place down and we all slept comfortably! The only issues were with the actual grounds of the condominium property itself:
*We were left a note saying to keep all windows and doors shut at night due to the potential of crime (not likely, but clearly they just needed to say it). It would not have been possible to sleep without the windows / doors open, so we ignored this.
*The pool had very strict rules that weren’t outlined anywhere on the property. We were told there was no:
Jumping into the pool
Throwing of pool toys/balls (we were playing catch with no one else in the pool)
No use of any floaties
For anyone who is coming with children or young teens, these rules will absolutely impact your pool time, as it did ours.
That said, the pool (and entire complex) is pristine and kept in amazing condition and the condo was the perfect place to stay. We loved it and Scott was an amazing host!

The condo was perfect. Everything was in great shape. The kitchen was by far the most well stocked of any we have ever stayed at. The location could not be better. It is close to everything, but not in a busy area. The whole rental process was well managed with great communication. We really had a wonderful time.

It had been 20 years since we visited Kauai. We were so pleased with our choice to stay at the Poipu Sands condo. The location was great and the property manager was wonderful to work with. The condo was well equipped, clean and enjoyable to stay at.

Pictures do not do this property justice. This place is beautiful with a classy beach feel. We had everything we needed and more! Many guests pay it forward and leave pantry supplies and beach toys which are super helpful. It is a lot bigger than it seems and we had plenty of space for our family (2 kids). The pool was fabulous and the property has incredible views. It is a close walk to all the popular beaches including Poipu. This is by far one of our favorite properties and we will be back!

Outstanding in every way! The beauty of the condo, property, and views far exceeded the photos!! Pool is steps away. Hear waves crashing from the master bedroom where you can drink your morning coffee and see the gorgeous sunrise over shipwreck beach. The condo was thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. It was kid friendly but not too kid friendly ;). They loved the large grassy area off the lanai and of course the huge pool! My fingers are crossed that we can return to this condo in the near future. Thank you for a perfect vacation!!!!!

Two master king suites. Extraordinarily equipped kitchen. Unobstructed view from patio with near constant cooling by trade winds. Easy walk to Hyatt on paved paths. Very nice large pool. High quality linens, beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis rackets, etc. Samsung washer dryer. Dishwasher and Cuisinart coffee maker and knife block. Two sets of dishes, two sets of glasses and coffee mugs. Premier location on South shore convenient to shopping dining and south shore sights. Owner great to deal with and provided very clear directions.

The place was excellent, perfect for us and our two young boys. Nice having laundry, place well stocked, we used the beach chairs and boogie boards, ocean breeze and hearing the ocean at night and in the morning was great. Also nice being close to Hyatt and Shipwrecks beach. Two thumbs up.

We recently stayed at the Poipu Condo and had a great time! We had one issue with the property (the bedroom TV, was not working) and the manager replaced it, in one day. We really enjoyed access to the Poipu Athletic Club, and took advantage of this most days. The restaurant at the club, ended up being one of our favorite spots to eat. Mahalo!!

The accommodations were very clean and well-appointed. The bed in the master was very comfortable. We were a bit concerned about there being no A/C; however, the entire space cooled down nicely at night when sliders/windows were left open and ceiling fans were on. The location of the unit was wonderful - right off of the parking lot and the walk to Shipwreck Beach was only 10 min or so. We had our two teenagers with us and they enjoyed the 2nd bedroom with the two beds. Unit is very close to Poipu Beach as well - just a quick drive or a bit of a walk. Would definitely stay at this unit again.

I am not one to heap unnecessary praise... however this property deserves it.
Tastefully furnished with quality all around.
Everything is in perfect working order, easy to find, figure out.
The location was ideal - open the sliding door, a few steps across the lanai and lawn and you are at the pool (with a few nice clean bbq grills to use). Open the window and listen to the surf, look out the window and see it. ~5 minute walk to have your toes in the sand.
Texted / emailed the property managers with a few simple questions = pleasant answers within minutes.
This is one of those places where everything is sorted out for max relaxation

The unit has most anything you want for your vacation. The kitchen is stocked with quality utensils for cooking and grilling and ample dishes etc. Spices and condiments are left from previous vacationers, great for a tsp of this or that for cooking. The storage closet has some of the toys you may want for picnics and beach time. The grills are well kept and close to the unit and are natural gas. The lanai is furnished with an excellent variety of seating with an option for either both sun and shade. Walkways offer easy access for strolls and the location in Poipu is convenient to groceries, restaurants etc. The 2 bedrooms/bathrooms are spaced on either side of the living area offering privacy for 2 couples. The linens are all first quality as are the beds. Excellent all around!

We recently stayed 12 nights at the Poipu Sands 211 unit. An outstanding experience to say the least. The condo is so close to the pool/bbq pit (literally less than a minute walk from the lanai). We used the pool a ton, as the surf was a bit rough even for boogie-boarding and it was seldom very busy or noisy. It's about a 5 minute drive from Poipu Sands to "downtown" Poipu, where high quality coffee, gelato, shave ice, restaurants and other such necessities are located.
As for the unit itself; you'd never guess that it is 40 years old. It's been updated with modern furnishings and decor. Lots of original local art hanging on the walls which we enjoyed looking at, along with a ton of books and travel magazines. The beds in both bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were large and modern as well. Perhaps the best part of the condo is the kitchen, with modern stainless appliances, granite counter tops and every possible kitchen tool or small appliance you'd need. An abundance of glasses and dishes certainly made it easier to accommodate the six people who were eating dinners together. One thing that should be mentioned specifically was the fridge with its cold water dispenser and a very efficient ice machine - both handy features in a hot and humid climate!
This was our second time dealing with Chad Slayton and again it was a very smooth process. Any questions that we had were promptly answered.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The pool is just steps away, the beach is a healthy walk away. We were cautioned by a local not to go swimming as it is a dangerous place and the red flags never came down. There are safer beaches nearby.
There were a few nights when air conditioning would have been most welcome, but the winds did blow thru pretty consistently. The local security left notes on our door several times to tell us to keep all doors and windows closed at night.
The feral chickens are amusing to watch but they did like to join us when we ate on the lanai. Don't feed them...they will leave calling cards!!
This home has a well stocked kitchen with dishes and pots and pans, knives, etc. One of the cabinets was full of stuff we never even used ... blender, etc. There were spices in the cabinet and some condiments in the fridge. When you only need a dab of this or a dab of that to find it in the fridge is great. We left our excess behind too. There is a mission called Friendship House on the other side of Kapaa that will take your unopened food items and all those 5¢ return bottles. That deposit adds up if like me, you don't want to bother to take them back!
It is quiet and beautiful and you can hear the surf all night. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and down pillows were delightful!! The humidity is high so we saw water spots condensing on glass surfaces like on the hanging photos.
