We brought one motorcycle with us and they could not figure out how to make sure the motorcycle did not get towed because we couldn’t put the parking pass on it because the wind was liable to take it away. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with their support people who could not get in touch with the people at the property. Bad communication all the way around.

The rental needs updated, however it was clean and the beach is not only right out your door, but also useable which isn’t always the case on this shore. There are small ocean pools to sit in which provide a place for kids to play. There are also waves for surfing right close and a grassy area to sit and grills for tenant use. Not a sign of a cockroach despite rain and the right conditions. No air conditioning, but if you leave the place opened up for the breeze it wasn’t too bad. We adjusted. Overall, we loved this stay.

If you love the ocean, waves, watching surfers, canoes, kayakers, turtles, fish, cruise ships, and amazing sunsets, this is your destination!
A few things I would want to know:
The condo has a coffee maker (not Keurig). There was a nice "welcome" gift of two packages of Hawaiian coffee & treats. There were coffee filters.
The bed is comfortable. The curtains in the primary bedroom provide plenty of darkness, if that's what you like. The 2nd bedroom & very bright (from the outside & pool lights) & may be noisy from the pool below.
There are no rugs or mats (right now), so yes your feet get dirty from the ocean mist!
There was nothing in the refrigerator; ice trays in the freezer. We left some condiments but don't know if they'll be there.
We left foil sheets, but there is no plastic wrap or bags.
We left a small Igloo ice chest. There is an insulated bag but the zipper was rusty.
We used two "camp" chairs (in the primary bedroom closet). There was an umbrella, noodle, and inflatables we did not use.

The location was perfect, not in the middle of all the shopping, bars and restaurants. But with a short drive, you could be if you wanted that. Honestly sitting on the lanai looking at the ocean was what this property was all about.

Very comfortable unit. Enjoyed the sound of the surf and watching the surf boarders. Lanai was particularly nice for relaxing. Easy walk to a market for fresh fruit.
Helpful to have Vacasa manager on site.

We have stayed at the Kona Bali Kai numerous time in various condos. This was a wonderful condo to stay. Very comfortable, right on the ocean, hot tub, pool, and good amenities. Highly recommend this condo. Mahalo!

Almost everything looks like it came from a flea market. Broken, chipped, and many useless things taking up space so there is very little room to put guest items, especially groceries. Owner is similar to a slum lord.

The view was spectacular and I loved hearing the waves right out the screen door on the lanai. The pool was nice too. The room was clean but needs a new mattress on the bed. It was lumpy. I liked having a washer and dryer in the room. Very convenient. The dryer did leave marks on some of my clothes though. Overall it was a great place to stay just needs some upgrades

Great location, property, outstanding view from Lanai, convenient parking and amenities. Condo is equipped with everything thing you need including beach towels and soap for hands and dishes. Chairs on the lanai are comfortable and with the ceiling fans including the one on the lanai made the low to mid 80 weather very comfortable with the breeze from the ocean. The only Issue was the cleanliness of the kitchen which will probably not be an issue going forward as the management had already contracted with a new company for cleaning. Their service recovery is amazing and I will not hesitate to stay here again.

The property like most on the ocean in Kona is older, however well kept up and clean. Our unit was ocean front ,this was spectacular .However the unit itself had some maintanence issues when we arrived .Both lanai screen doors were broken and the front door screen lock was hanging off .Luckily we ran into Stephen the maintainence guy and he came and fixed these right away. He was suiper helpful and a very nice older guy ,big thank you .We never needed to contact the front desk at all .Also though it is reasonably well equipped in the kitchen ,a few more dishes and baking dishes would be nice.Six frying pans seemed a bit excessive !! The furniture looks newer, if a little spartan ,but appliances and cupboads really need updating. We spent 10 nights here and were happy to have the 2nd bathroom with the one bedroom unit .Fans are good as it really only gets hot between 3 and 6pm. AC would be nice then. overall a nice unit and of course the view makes it .

I loved this place over any resort. This place doesnt have your most updated appliances but none can beat the proximity to the ocean and the sound of the waves that comes through your room . It was unparalleled and i would highly recommend staying here if u want to enjoy the peace of the big island living

The condo was in a great location. Beautiful view of the beach and the ocean. The condo could have been cleaner. The floors left the bottoms of my feet black after a few minutes of walking on them. Overall though it was a good experience.
