The condo was very clean with an extremely well equiped kitchen. The grounds and pool area were lovely. The only issue we had ( which really was not a problem for us ) was, being Australians we could not access any of the steaming services so could not watch any movies in the evenings. Having said that, it really was relaxing to sit and read in the comfortable living area, so did not miss the TV.

Absolutely loved this condo! Comfy bed, super clean, everything was provided, and check-in was easy. The VRBO is very quiet, no street noise. We opted for a helicopter tour, atv, mountain tubing, and biked/hiked Waimea Canyon. This location was perfect. Plenty of restaurants nearby to walk to. Would definitely recommend!!

My husband & I were blown away by this condo! The owners have thought of absolutely everything, were amazing to communicate with, and the unit/grounds were immaculate. We loved being so close to the beach & restaurants, but away from the more crowded/noisy resorts. Sitting on the patio at sunset/in the morning was awesome, and being able to cool off in the pool at the end of the day was such a treat! It was also fun to read their guest book & see what others loved about their stay. We were NOT ready to leave! Thank you Mike & Gina!

We travel to Hawaii often, sometimes twice a year. Maui has always been our island of choice but we decided to make the trip to Kauai this time to explore another island that we have been told we must visit.
We absolutely loved our stay and our condo was exceptional. We wanted for nothing and Michael’s communication was excellent. We loved the assigned parking spot, the AC was a bonus and 2 bathrooms made getting ready for the day twice as fast. There were several days we were the only ones in the pool for hours at a time. We loved all the local restaurants and small coffee spots. The turtles at sunset at Poipu Beach were amazing! I’m not sure our trip and travels around the island could have been better. Only we thing dint make happen was the helicopter tour, but there always next time, right? Thank you so much Michael and Gina for sharing your home with us.

This condo was absolutely perfect for us. It is centrally located and the grounds are well kept and beautiful. The condo is very well appointed, comfortable and extremely clean. Everything we needed was there plus more. We completely enjoyed our Kauai vacation in this gem of a place. Mike was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo in Poipu. The location and views are great! A few steps outside the door and your at the pool for a swim or on the sea wall watching the sunset. The condo inside is spacious, comfortable, clean, and includes a washer/drier since we travel light. Communication with Mike was excellent too. Everything you need for a great vacation!

We walked in to Hawaiian music playing lightly and the fans and air conditioner on. Such a welcoming experience! The unit is beautifully maintained and spacious and located to see the ocean from the patio while dining outside. There was also plenty of extra's (coffee filters, laundry detergent, etc) so we did not have to purchase those. Love the sliding Hawaiian Shutter doors for privacy at night. It was a perfect place to stay!

This was our second stay at this property and we have already booked it again for next year. Beautifully updated unit with great view, easy pool access and all amenities we needed. Great communication with Michael who answered all questions immediately. Appreciate that all the light switches are labeled and instructions for all appliances are clear. Also, great Poipu location and ocean walking path across the street. Thank you for a great and relaxing stay.

I can’t say enough good things. Our family, including two boys ages 7 and 9, stayed here — our first visit to Kauai. We loved Poipu, the Poipu Kapili resort, and this unit. Poipu/Koloa has a small-town, low key vibe which we really enjoyed after the hustle and bustle and Oahu. This resort has incredible ocean views while being just a short walk to the beach and the resorts if you want. We loved that we could go get a cocktail at the Sheraton and then come let the kids play in our uncrowded pool. Sunsets on the wall across the street with a mix of locals and tourists is a memory we will hold on to forever. We loved the ground floor unit so they could just run out there without going down stairs. The unit was so clean and nicely updated — the perfect amount of space for us. The Murphy beds for the kids worked so nicely and did not feel in the way even during the day. We loved keeping the A/C off and letting the tradewinds flow through the unit with the fans on — it was really hot most of the days but inside it felt great. I appreciated that the owners provided so many basics like toilet paper, paper towels, detergents, and even a coffee starter and travel size shampoo/conditioner. Many VRBOs we have stayed at don't do this, so it was a differentiator. Michael was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to any questions. We definitely hope to come back to Kauai many more times and would stay here again if available!

Poipu Kapili #39 was the perfect place for us. Location, comfort and cleanliness were all top notch. The attention to detail and the fully stocked kitchen supplies were a nice touch. Communication with the host was easy and check-in was a breeze. The owners really love their place in paradise and it shows. Can’t wait to return!

My wife and I spent eight great days in this beautiful condo on our second trip to Kauai. This one truly is better in person than depicted on the website. The pictures are great but it’s even better in reality. It’s merely 15 steps to the pool from the patio…and another 40 steps to the ocean! The condo is clean, well-stocked and very well maintained. The condo is in a great location…close to beaches, restaurants, and activities. Michael (the owner) was very friendly, helpful and responsive. We would highly recommend this residence.

My husband and twin 17 year old boys and I loved this place and maximized the location. Mike was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, & shopping. The condo is actually bigger than it appeared in the pictures. The Murphy beds are a great idea and space saver. We recommend this VRBO rental and hope to be back!! Thank you!!!

Mike’s condo in Poipu was in an idillic setting. The grounds of Poipu Kapili are pristine and so well kept. The view of the ocean over the beautiful lawn and palm trees makes you feel at peace the moment you arrive. Mike was very thoughtful in all of his preparations of the condo and we had everything we could need during our stay. We had one minor hiccup with internet which Mike fixed within an hour of being notified. Very responsive! I would recommend Mike’s listing to anyone… in fact I have already recommended it to my parents! Thank you Mike for sharing your piece of paradise with us. -Sarah and Mack

This property is one of the finest we have ever had the opportunity to rent in the past 10 years. We felt at home immediately and hope to return in the near future. We really enjoyed our time at this condo. It is very spacious for a 1 bedroom and the additional Murphy Beds provide adequate sleeping for 4 adults - having 2 full bathrooms was a great bonus too!
There is easy access to the pool and the complex is very quiet. We found the other patrons of this property to be very nice too.

Unit 39 and its owners were a pleasure. The size of the overall condo complex was perfect and felt more intimate than larger nearby properties. The pool and overall grounds were clean and lovely, too. My family and I would definitely stay here again!

Our stay in this condo couldn’t have been better. So very comfortable with electric reclining sofas, great fans and air conditioning in the bedroom. Labels on light switches and clear instructions on appliances and TVs. The owner was easily available for questions and advice. Ground floor walk out to pool and beach was very convenient. This condo will not disappoint.

My wife and I love the location and the condo is very nice. We were there in August and it was very warm in the afternoons. We didn't spend much time in the condo during the day.
Air conditioning in the master bedroom was needed at night. The two Murphy beds would have been unusable at night. It was too hot outside to use the kitchen/living room in the evening. Breezes helped, but you had to choose between air conditioning in bedroom or breezes through the condo.
A screen door on the condo would mean you could air condition bedroom and get breezes through the condo but you have to decide when to lock doors and then it was too hot to have anyone sleep in the living room area.
To summarize, it is a great place to use as a base for 2 people only during August. We loved our stay!

We spent 19 wonderful days during a late August to mid-September visit to the south beach of Kauai in this delightful condo. It is beautifully and functionally furnished, stocked with housewares for cooking, loaded with helpful beach accessories, and the location is incredible - both within the complex as well as within walking distance to many amenities including beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The door to the lanai opens directly on the meticulous grounds of a gorgeous pool. We enjoyed the wonderful view of the Pacific ocean every morning as we breakfasted outside - and when inside, we could still enjoy the view from the sofa! A daily highlight was watching the sun set every evening from the green space - truly breathtaking!
Mike and Gina have put much thought into many details including a notebook with “things to know” about Kauai, excursions, restaurants, shopping, and events. They’ve taken the time to label light switches and print signage with instructions for various electronics and appliances - all helpful. During the daytime hours we took advantage of the trade winds that blew through the screened and louvered doors at both ends of the unit. At night, the air-conditioning was a nice bonus as well as a comfortable king-sized bed. The bathrooms were spacious and spa-like - we were happy to have two of them! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in #39 and highly recommend Mike and Gina as excellent hosts!

A lovely experience overall. The home itself is so well done and nicely maintained with all the amenities. The detailed instructions and labeling by the host made everything even easier. Kids loved simply walking out of the living room to the pool and we loved sitting out on the porch and enjoying the view.

We enjoyed our stay in Poipu. The condo is nice and the grass area between the condos and the street before the beach is beautiful.
We went in July so it was hot and the owners are correct the ac unit in the bedroom only cools that room. The foldout extra beds are nice but was hot on the hottest days.
There’s no beach across the street just rocks but it’s an easy walk to the Sheraton beach or drive to all of the other poipu beaches.
Overall we really enjoyed it and the rental is a nice value.

This was an unbelievable stay at a great location. The condo was exceptionally clean and spacious, perfectly accommodating for the 4 of us, and all updated beautifully. The pictures that are provided do not even do justice to the awesome views of the ocean right from the patio (where we ate almost all of our meals!). Michael was a great host, easily reachable if needed.
The location couldn't be better for us, with multiple diverse beaches within walking distance and even more within just a short drive. Also many options for shopping and eating very close by. We LOVED our stay here!

What a wonderful experience! From the moment we booked until the last day everything was flawless. Communication was great. The place was SUPER a clean and well stocked with quality amenities. We had family members in 4 other units on the property and this unit was by far the best stocked. The mattresses were very comfortable too. The location is ideal and close to the beach and two shopping centers. I highly recommend this place!
