We definitely recommend this location for families with young children. (Ours are 1 and 3).
The pool is perfect and steps from the front door. We enjoyed the short walk to Poipu Beach, very pleasant and close by. But also the walk to Shipwreck beach is also close by and also recommended!
For our kids, we always wonder how they will sleep (since that ultimately determines how well rested we will be too), and this unit was perfect. The ac and fans work well. It’s quiet most of the time (some noisy people upstairs at 6am a few times). But the advantage of being ground floor with no stairs to worry about offset that for our 1 year old.
We also had a few asks for Surrey and the response and service were top notch!

Three couples with young children had plenty of space to cook, play, nap, and relax. We loved the convenience of walking to the beaches and having the pool steps away - it allowed for maximum flexibility with all of the kids on different schedules. Would definitely stay again! Surrey was very communicative and accommodating with early check-in and converting the twin room to a king. Mahalo!!

The condo was perfect for our family of grandparents, parents, and kids. The pool and grounds are beautiful, with a short walk through the greenbelt to get to the beach. The lanai with dining table and lounges was our favorite place to hang out when not out exploring. Lots of geckos, birds, and flowers to enjoy on our morning and evening strolls. Highly recommend…thank you to Mike and Surrey for being great hosts!

Family vacation with 2 teen agers 13 / 16. Both took surfing lesson with their parents and spent the rest of the time within walking distance of the unit in the surf. Best time so far of their lives.

The condo layout was perfect for our family and grandparents stay with 2 young children. Pool and grounds are also super. Easy walk to the beach but also very quiet at night. Plenty of parking. Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys. We had a great time, thanks Surrey

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We’ve made numerous trips to Kauai over the years and this was by far the nicest condo. The home was clean and beautifully furnished. Great floor plan. The grandchildren loved the boogie boards, beach toys, pool — and the wagon was used for every trip to the beach.
We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen and often ate at the table on the lanai which is only a few steps from the walking path— yet has a nice private feel. Appreciated all the containers for leftovers, snacks etc.
Would happily stay here again. My 5yr old grandson asked if we could come back for my next birthday.

If your looking for a place to stay on the southern part of Kauai this is it. It is an excellent location. Three beaches were close enough that we just walked to them. The area was quiet and the pool was located right out our front door.
Only recommendation is we needed dish towels and the lanai door had a squeak. But having a washer and dryer and air conditioning certainly made up for this!!

Our entire family loved this condo. It was exactly as described in the listing, with large bedrooms, fantastic location and a bunch of extras like beach chairs and boogie boards. This was our first time in Kauai, so the info the host shared prior to our arrival was extremely helpful and gave us some direction on top attractions and restaurants. The location on the island made it easy to get every where that we wanted. Highly recommend this condo!!

We stayed for one week at this resort and comfortably fit 2 families. The unit is a bottom floor unit with high ceilings and back doors that opened up all the way, so you can enjoy the nice garden views and eat meals outdoors. Because it is a bottom unit, there can be some noise from above, but it was not bad. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and even had a number of spices and teas leftover from previous renters, although this can obviously change depending on what is used. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were soft. They provide some shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap in the bathrooms. The washer and dryer are very nice and there is laundry detergent available. There is also a wagon that can be used to take all of the beach toys (boogie boards, inner tube, pool noodles) down to the beach, which was very convenient. There are also Tommy Bahama backpack chairs and an umbrella. Brennecke beach is about a 7 minute walk and a couple more minutes to Poipu, which is where we spent most of out time. You can see the sea turtles swim up to shore at sunset, so awesome! Overall a lovely stay.

The Villa was amazing! We had a party of 6 and it was the perfect amount of space with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to make us not feel like we were on top of each other. The owner and property manager were very responsive and helpful. I would recommend this host and area to anyone!

The location of BlueTides Villa is great. It's close to Poipu Beach, for the little ones, and also Bennecke Beach for surfers. The unit provides a lot of beach toys for little ones, also a surf board, a boogie board, beach chairs and beach umbrella. The wagon was really handy for lugging all that to the beach. There are food and beach rentals by the beach. A shopping mall with restaurant and stores about 10 min away. The area has everything you need. The unit is also very clean, has all the amenities needed and the complex is beautiful. The lanai is one of our favorite things about the unit. This is definitely the pick.

The property was beautiful! Its a short walk to the beach and nearly everything you need for beaching was at the property, we just brought our snorkels! The pool was amazing and we were in it nearly every day. We will definitely be back in the future!

This was the most amazing and beautiful condo we have stayed in. We were celebrating our wedding and it definitely accommodated our family and friends. The kitchen was awesome, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of places for everyone to go. The beach was within walking distance and the pool was fabulous. I can’t say enough about our stay here!!!!

Beautiful condo inside and out….Easy check in/out… Roomy for a family of 6 adults and one newborn! Kitchen is well stocked… beds were comfortable.. layout was perfect.. beautiful patio to relax amongst the extremely well kept grounds. Location could not have been better.. steps to pool.. quick walk to beach for swimming.. surfing.. boogie boarding (all provided along with chairs, umbrella and cart)… and turtles! You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back !

Very well equipped in terms of beach chairs, boogie boards, a wagon and a cooler. Highly recommend sunset at Poipu Beach and watching the turtles come in to rest on the beach.

This property was clean, spacious, and well outfitted. The beds are comfortable, the linens are nice, and the kitchen is well stocked with any instruments or appliances you may need. The indoor/outdoor living afforded is magnificent. The pool and hot tub are merely steps away, and its a very short walk to the beaches. The location couldn't be more perfect. We stayed here with 3 adults and 4 children for two weeks, and we cannot wait to visit again. Mahalo, Mike, for your hospitality!

Our group of six stayed at this property for a week on Kauai . It was a short walk to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach . We were able to exercise walking the beach trail which was right outside our door . We went down for the sunset on Poipu Beach most days . They had the beach epuipment we needed so we did not have to rent . Awesome villa in lovely location .

The property is perfectly located in Poi'pu. The condo is very clean and spacious and has EVERYTHING you need for the beach.
The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, great fridge and counter space! Bathrooms are a great size and beds are super comfy!
They provide a beach wagon, multiple beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, etc.... This is a must with small kids. Definitely recommend the snorkle beach at Poi'pu state beach and the tide pools in front of the Hyatt, also within walking distance.

We enjoyed our trip to Kauai and Mike’s place was exactly as described. My immediate family of four, in-laws, plus sister and brother in law all we able to comfortably stay in the unit. The pool was in a perfect location for easy access with kids. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and to the Grand Hyatt. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated all the beach supplies that were provided. The unit is a great value and we would love to come back sometime.

We traveled with three small families and each family had their own room/bathroom so it was an ideal set up.
We loved opening up the back folding doors to the lanai which had an ideal backdrop of greenery Hawaiian sky.
The condo is set up with everything needed to cook, do laundry, and enjoy a fun day at the beach with toys and a cart to transport everything. The walk really is 5 -7 minutes depending on what beach you want.
There is also a nearby shaved ice and famous hot dog spot. We also hit up the surf shop for gear and fish food for our snorkeling adventures (which was just swim goggles and water shoes and we still got to see a ton of cool stuff).
The turtles were also very popular with our kids and we saw them daily.
The pool nearby was also so nice and warm. During Covid Times it was nice to have a spot close by that still felt vacationy but open to limited people so it felt safe.
We occasionally heard noise upstairs but it wasn’t bothersome. This was a 5/5 stay. I look forward to returning to Kauai again and would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Regency at PPK. The cottage is made of quality materials. Everything we needed was available, including beach chairs, boogie boards, surfboard, umbrella, and plenty of diving gear. Sometimes when we rent a cottage, we have to purchase spices; not here. Every kind of spice was provided.
At first, I was disappointed that the cottage did not face the swimming pool. As time passed, I realized our unit facing the walking path was much more quiet and relaxing.
This unit was a bit expensive; yet worth every penny.

This property worked so well for our family, It was well maintained but most of all the amenities were wonderful and it was so close to everything we wanted to do. The extra equipment they had there for us to use worked so well. Definitely will stay with them again.
