This was exactly as advertised and worked absolutely perfectly for three generations. Grandparents, parents , and three children under 5.
The layout was perfect and the three bathrooms were ideal. The location was marvellous and we loved our nightly short walks through the green belt for sunset pictures. The pool was perfect for daily plays in the pool and then hot tub soaks. The fridge was large enough for all our food and the beach chairs, umbrella and wagon were used daily. Thank so much for making this treasured family experience work so well

Our condo was just as described. 2 master suites, and a third bedroom with twin beds with direct access to third bathroom. Living area isn't as large as online photos lead you to believe, but the were more than adequate. Location is great - easy access to Poipu Beach, 5 minute drive to Koloa, semi-private pool, green spaces and concrete walk way were a plus.
We were two grandparents, two parents, and a 9 year old. This property was perfect!!!

This condo was so great for our family - me, my husband, 10 month old, my mom (70), and bro/sister in law. We all had our own rooms - the photos for this listing are super accurate. The rooms are very spacious and the baby slept comfortably in a pack n play in the closet haha. The lanai was perfect with the accordion doors and we could just walk out to grass, the pool, and the path to the beach (5-10min walk). The condos are pretty close together but there’s so much foliage so there’s plenty of privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and the grills are clean and available to use on the property. Tons of beach toys, snorkel stuff, chairs, boogie boards, even surf boards to use + a wagon to haul it all to the beach. Would have been helpful to find the water shoes prior to the last day before my husband kicked some rocks out in the bay but oh well - that one’s on us. Would definitely stay again and recommend for families!

Beautiful home was beyond our expectations. Very clean with luxury furnishings. Great pool with hot tub and two large grills that were cleaned daily by staff as well as our secluded lanai were amenities we enjoyed during our stay. Many great beaches and restaurants were close by to enjoy. Villas at Poipu Kai location is excellent!

I always pick top rated properties, but expect to be let down at least a little. But this condo really lives up to all the glowing reviews it’s received. Three large bedrooms, a well appointed kitchen and a lovely outdoor space. The pool is steps away and the beach is a pleasant 0.4 mile walk through a park like setting. There’s a fun restaurant, Brennecke’s, close by. I could go on. Bottom line: you will not be disappointed if you stay here!

This was a perfect condo, island location, and pool. Our family of four could not have been happier with our choice of stay. It is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. It had all the beach supplies we needed too. Easy short walk to a boogie boarding beach, snorkeling
spot and restaurants. We loved playing pickle ball at the nearby tennis courts. We really appreciated the AC in the hotter August temps. We will absolutely stay here again when we return to Kauai. Five stars in all ways.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The accommodations went far and above our expectations, especially in the kitchen. We've stayed at many places that have slim pickins for cooking/baking in the kitchen, and we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to eat at "home" because of all the supplies they had on hand. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms supplied great shower pressure. There were so many beach supplies. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We wont hesitate to book this place again next time we come to Poipu.

Condo is well laid out for privacy between guests. Well stocked beach gear and everything in good condition. Comfortable beds. Nice to have a stone walkway right from the condo to the beach. Pool and jacuzzi were well maintsined, perfect temperature and clear water. Nice big gas barbeques by the pool. Very quiet and relaxing.

Wow! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay. We are a multi generational group, grandpa, siblings and kids 5 and 8. The kids love Brenecke beach aka the boogie board beach which was a short 5 minute walk. And turtles and playground each night at poipu beach about a 10 minute walk. We also walked to shipwreck beach, 10 minute walk to visit the grand hyatt. We looked at the parrots and fed the fish. We swam in the pool at the end of each day, which was just off the lanai. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans, and a cooler, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, life jackets,and wagon were soooo useful. The vaulted sealing and beautiful villa made out stay magical. Perfect stay.

Property is lovely, area is lush. It is remote, so a car is definitely needed. All four of us are 78 and over so found the beach far, although once we discovered the pathways it was better. We did not have a vehicle.
Information and detailed maps of the immediate area should be in the unit, with directions to closest stores, restaurants and beaches. Also, information on transportation: buses, taxis and phone numbers, etc. would be helpful. We lost a couple of days just trying to get oriented.

Check in was quite easy and we were provided great directions to the property.
Upon arrival everything in the condo was clean and kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and dishes etc. Also good supply of spices.
The lanai was lovely and nice and private as there is foot traffic to the beach next to the condo.
The proximity to the beach is just a few minutes of a lovely landscaped walk to the beach. Walked down each evening to see the turtles come onto the beach.
We used the grills each night for dinner and the condo staff kept them immaculate each day. There were many nice restaurants nearby but we enjoyed the condo for cooking and then ate on the lanai.......loved it!!!
We had a couple of battery issues with the door lock and smoke detector but Michael was there in just minutes to remedy the situation.
Overall if you have a group visit to Kauai and want to stay on South Shore in Poipu this is definitely the condo for you.Even if you have a larger group than 3 couples there are many condos within the Poipu Kai complex to accommodate any size group.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was clean and beautifully furnished. Great floor plan. The grandchildren loved the boogie boards, beach toys, pool — and the wagon was used for every trip to the beach.
We prepared most of our meals in the kitchen and often ate at the table on the lanai which is only a few steps from the walking path— yet has a nice private feel. Appreciated all the containers for leftovers, snacks etc.

The pictures are accurate and the location is awesome! Close enough to poipu to walk, yet far enough to avoid the ocean wind. The bedrooms are awesome. The TV is HUGE. The kitchen is VERY well stocked with anything you may need. For example, Lots of plates, silverware AND and regular coffee maker AND a Keruig coffee maker WITH a re-fillable K cup!! It's great being on the first floor. Easy to go to pool or beach from the patio.
My only gripe is the awful "eco" soaps in the bathrooms. The only difference between these and a piece of driftwood is the driftwood smells better. Not a big deal, just plan on buying your own.
Overall I will DEFINITELY stay here next time I'm on Kauai!!

Stephen, the host, was beyond hospitable, communicative and gracious. The property matched this style. This is was best appointed rental we’ve had - from lots of beach towels to laundry detergent. It was super comfortable and the location is perfect. Most of our time in the rental was spent on the porch and loved the privacy of the plantings and the little extra area off to the side. Being right on the green belt, we walked most places. The snorkeling was great and we saw lots and lots and lots of fish. Kids would love all the tide pools, the island off the beach and so many places. I highly recommend this quiet and relaxing property - and the pool is lovely! We will stay here again when in the area. Loved it!

Excellent accommodation with everything you need in an ideal location. Next to pool with spa and five minute walk to beach, where you can see Green Turtles and Hawaiian Monk Seals lying on the beach. Also Spinner Dolphins and Humpback Whales frolicking in the sea, if you are lucky.

This property was absolutely stunning, clean and comfortable. The patio was tucked away in the corner, cool and breezy. Our family had a wonderful time together, making memories, laughing crying talking to each other. The pool and jacuzzi was beautiful. Quiet. The location is pretty close to the beach, restaurants, grocery markets. It was very easy to travel back and forth from this location to other locations of the island. Highly recommended.

Pre-stay communication was excellent. Had no need to communicate during stay. Leaving the outdoor gear on the back patio was a huge surprise and we loved it! Beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear and toys! Great! Would have loved for a cooler to have been part of that package but you can’t expect everything! House was fully loaded for three couples and all the equipment was on par! The ice maker lacked enough umph and the dryer needed a few cycles to dry clothes. These are the only complaints I could possibly make as the house, grounds and location are absolutely ideal!!! Thanks for offering this property to us. We had a great stay!

We are so glad we decided to change our reservation from a beach front house in Princeville to Villas at Poipu! Our family of 5 adults and 2 kids, ages 9 and 7, enjoyed our stay here. It's a literally 5-10 minutes to Brennecke's Beach and thr delightful Puipo Beach. At Poipu beach, we enjoyed snorkeling and found the most colorful fishes, amazed by the green turtles and Monk seals sleeping on the shore, beach areas shallow enough for the kids. The property has pools, the biggest was so close to where we are (C110) and did morning, noon and night swimming almost everyday. There are two grills by the pool which we took advantage of, had dinner by the pool while enjoying might swiiming. The adults in our group enjoyed the hot pool to relax our tired muscles from worthwhile gallivanting. 😊🌴🌺 A shout out to Mike and Kat, our contact people, who were very responsive to our queries and need for assistance. The villa was so well equipped we wanted for nothing. There were plenty of toys for the kids, laundry soap, shampoo and conditioner plus so much more. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all needed items plus some cooking basics such as spices, oil, vinegar and sugar. Stephen was a very responsive manager and a pleasure to interact with. The location of this particular villa was ideal; close enough to the pool but away from the noise and traffic of the pool. We absolutely loved staying here.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this lovely condo so much! The space was awesome - that primary bathroom - oh my goodness! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and there were tons of fun beach accessories, which we all enjoyed and appreciated. The location of this condo felt very private, which was great. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in south Kauai. A short (5-10 min), manicured walk to 3 beaches, a restaurant and shaved ice and a lovely pool & hot tub 20 feet away. Plenty of privacy and everything you could want in the kitchen and plenty of towels and beach chairs & pool toys. We would 110% stay here again. Communication was excellent, A/C was amazing, ice maker kicked out ice, location to everything South Kauai was ideal.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. The condo was very clean and as advertised. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of beach chairs and toys to take to the beach which is a short 5 minute walk away. We also loved the pool and hot tub. A couple afternoons we even had the pool to ourselves. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We had a couple maintenance issues but the owner was very responsive. The only issue we had was the ceiling/floor wasn’t well insulated and we could hear kids running and playing upstairs.

The villa was very clean upon arrival, and was stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the detergent, beach towels, and beach toys available for our stay. My only complaint was that I requested the twin beds in the third bedroom be converted into a king. Upon arrival it was not, but the maid arrived shortly and fixed it for us. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. This was our first time in Kauai, and the villa put the cherry on top.

Our family loved our stay at this beautiful condo in Poipu. This unit is steps from the pool and a short walk along a direct path to the beach. It's a great location with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The bedrooms are comfy, and we enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living room and large kitchen which was well stocked for making a few meals and visiting local shops/restaurants nearby.

We had a fabulous time staying in Stephen’s Poipu villa. The condo was very well equipped, very clean and had everything the six of us needed for our 12 night stay. The location was perfect, an easy walk to three beaches, with small toddler friendly waves or larger kid/teen fun waves. There were restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and grocery stores a short drive away. We spent many hours enjoying the pool. We would definitely recommend this villas to friends and family and hope to return again really soon!

Stephen was extremely accommodating - even let us check in earlier than scheduled. Location is perfect. Close to great restaurants and shops. The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to put up sheer curtains along with the panels. We had to keep most of them halfway closed for privacy - especially the main one out to the back patio as a well utilized walking path to the beach is right in front of it. Otherwise - a perfect vacation! Thank you!

I can't give this rental enough stars. The unit is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the entire place is furnished well. We found everything we could possibly want or need for our stay, including some small touches that other rental units frequently fail to include. Loved the fact that there was always hot water with good water pressure in all 3 showers. Some of the guests sharing with us spoke very highly about the community hot tub and pool. The instructions were perfect and we felt safe and secure at all times. We highly recommend this villa at Poipu Kai and given the opportunity would not hesitate to stay there again. Mahalo, Stephen!

We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Our group included grandparents, parents and a 2 and 5 year old. Definitely book this place if you want a luxurious, relaxing kid-friendly option.
At the condo, we had all our kid needs covered: 2 pack and plays, high chair, floaties, sun umbrella, sand toys, six beach towels (good quality) and wagon to haul gear to the beach. This condo could also have easily accommodated two families with four kids. Note the bathtub is in the master, so we did use it for bath time.
The location of the condo is also great for families. The unit itself is an end unit, so you don’t have the pool noise directly floating into the condo. And the lanai has a spacious, very private feel, plus huge lawn for playing.
Walk to Poipu beach (very toddler friendly) is about 7 minutes via the greenway just off the lanai. The beach also has a large playground for kiddos. We took advantage of the walkable eateries (Kalapaki Joe’s sports bar, amazing wings) and Brennecke’s plus Puka dogs.

Great property! I will book it again. As with any first floor property, you never know how loud the people above you will be. That was our only disappointment (one night) but nothing can be done about that. Beach toys and chairs provided, great hot tub and pool. Easy walk to Brennecke’s Beach (5 minutes.)

Unit had EVERYTHING you need. We were a family of 8. And we all were very comfortable. Loved the pits and pans. Great dishes.
Beds were comfortable. The pull out sofa was a little uncomfortable but what pull out sofa is like a Tempur-pedic?!

This is probably the best house I’ve ever rented on this site. The accommodations were great. Each room had its own bathroom, which was nice. The location is amazing. You’re a 5 minute walk from the beach and a 30 second walk to the beautiful pool and hot tub area.
There are more than enough towels. Honestly I can’t say enough great things about this place.

The island of Kauai is stunning and this property's location to the Brennecke's and Poipu beaches was fantastic and truly only a 5 minute walk away. We loved seeing all of the sea turtles on Brennecke's beach and we so appreciated the beach equipment that was left so that we could enjoy the beach too. You could easily walk to Shipwreck's beach, which was a little over a 20 minute walk from the property.
The pool was beautiful and well liked by the friends we were traveling with. We had an issue finding a parking spot, but were able to communicate with the property manager and the person on call who helped us find a location to park. We happened to be visiting during a very busy time on the island. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Mahalo!

Loved staying at this location! Great access (5 min walk) to Poipu Beach! There were ( of us (3 adults, 2 teens) and there was plenty of room to spread out! Very comfy beds and really enjoyed use of beach towels, chairs, wagon. Much appreciated to have those available! Communication with the owner was very prompt and helpful. Would recommend!

Excellent accommodations with nice and abundant amenities. Has all the necessities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Perfect location with access to the pool, beaches, and restaurants. This condo is exactly as it was described and all pictures were very accurate. It is gorgeous and very comfortable. AC worked great. Occasional noise from upstairs but nothing that interrupted our stay or our sleep. Great location, only a couple of blocks to the beach with a lovely paved path. Easy access to the pool. This is a corner unit and offered lots of privacy as well. We would definitely stay here again!

We were 2 families of 4 each. Everyone liked the place. Definitely family-friendly. On a quiet side. 5 min walk to the beach. Short drive to a shopping center with a few restaurants. The area around is very well maintained and kept clean. Overall, very positive experience.

We had a really fantastic time in Kauai and this condo worked out great for us.
1) The condo was situated easy walking distances (5-10 min) between nice beaches (Poipu and Shipwreck's).
2) It was clean, big, and had enough pots/pans to cook with. The condo was at an ideal location that offered privacy when out on the patio.
3) We were here with our toddler and it was so great not having to redirect him every 5 seconds (not much to grab at and damage). There were even supplies for the beach in the condo (additional supplies in the clubhouse).
4) The pool and hot tub were nice and offered a good mix of sun/shade.
5) You can hear the upstairs neighbor walking (but not talking). I would recommend the first floor over the second so that you don't have to bother with the stairs/elevator.
When we return to Kauai, this condo will be our top choice. Highly recommend!

My family of 6 adults and an infant stayed 5 nights in the Villas at Poipu Kai. Every aspect of the stay was perfect. 30 seconds to the pool, 5 minute walk to the beach, and more than anything, the perfect villa. With an infant, we spent more time inside than we'd prefer being on a baby's schedule, but the Villa was comfortable, felt borderline luxury, and had all the amenities we could need. A very large kitchen with all the necessities and nearby grill, pack n play for easier travel (and a surprise high chair too!), beach chairs/umbrella/beach toys (and the property also has more if needed), washer/dryer, and the space and privacy needed for 6 adults and a baby. We ate on the back patio all but one night, so relaxing! The villa appears very well cared for and is in like new shape. We came to Kauai before a busier few days in Maui and all 6 of us agreed we loved Kauai more! Highly recommend the location and the villa!

Loved everything about our stay. The condo was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 3 children. The large, well stocked kitchen, oversized dining table and comfortable sofas made our stay especially comfortable. Having 2 master suites, with gigantic closets and lots of storage along with beautiful over sized bathrooms was a wonderful find. We appreciated the outdoor lounging and dining area. The family appreciated the pool, hot tub, large beach towels, convenient paved walking paths which led to the sandy beach and through all the beautiful landscaping. Taking a daily walk was a true pleasure. Absolutely breath taking. The outdoor maintenance was outstanding. The barbecues were immaculate. The owners were gracious with all of our needs and communications. We were not ready to leave this paradise and definitely want to return soon.

This has been a fantastic trip. The accommodations were more than we could even ask for. Our unit had everything we needed and some! We were traveling with 6 adult couples and 2 small children, and there was plenty of space for everyone. Lanai was spacious for family meals and it was nice just to have that extra space to lounge around. Plenty of beach gear! Great location... look forward to our return. MAHALO :)

Wow. I cannot say enough great things about this condo. It is huge, it is beautiful and remodeled, the pool is amazing, its right off the green belt, you can walk to Poipu beach in 5 minutes, there's AC (!!!), there are 3 bathrooms, the kitchen is luxury and makes you want to cook there. I could go on and on. We were there with another family and the place still felt huge, we had a 2 year old and 6 month old with us (hello loud screaming at 6 am) and neither couple ever heard the other families kids, that's amazing! The doors are solid wood (so hard to find in Hawaii) so the whole house allowed for privacy. We really cant say enough how much we loved it. We plan to go back again in 2019. You will not regret booking here. We've stayed on all the islands in many different rentals, and this place is the absolute best.

My three adult children, their significant others, and I (Mom) had a wonderful time in Kauai and part of the reason was Steve Badger's villa rental. The area is spacious, clean and easy to keep clean. There are three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, which was very important for us. We cooked and snacked in the mornings and evenings at the Villa and there were ample supplies for all our meals -- even for the barbecues that we did near the pool. Massive beach towels were provided. Meals could be eaten at the spacious dining room table or outside on the porch where the accordion windows allowed full opening to the porch area. We had wonderful conversations there, and the chickens and roosters came up to join us. It is generally secluded, in a quiet corner area, but close to the pool, barbecue, fitness area, and beach gear/chair check-out area. A floral path will take you easily to the Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke's Beach in one direction and Shipwreck Beach in the other. There is a big TV with a wrap around couch, and a washer-dryer for all clothes and dishes. This villa is core for a dream vacation and Steve Badger could not have been kinder and more helpful with easy email communication.

the villa is impressive! gorgeously appointed, very spacious, all rooms have their own bathrooms. Kitchen is well equipped! we loved the access to the beach, and the pool is a short walk away with BBQ grills available for use. you will not be disappointed should you stay here. Owner and the property manager were quick to respond and very nice!
