We loved staying at this spacious, clean , comfortable and beautifully decorated condo. Located close to Poipu beach and The Grand Hyatt at Shipwreck Beach made it easy to spend time at these stunning locations as well as exploring other parts of the island. This Condo is extremely well equipped with everything you need to enjoy gorgeous beaches and the kitchen has all the tools necessary to create basic and gourmet meals. The space was easily kept cool with ceiling fans. We never even considered using the air conditioning and thoroughly enjoyed the fragrant ocean breezes . Kauai is a beautiful island that offers many activities and this condo is the perfect place to come home to after a busy day!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Poipu Sands condo.
It was July, and although the unit has LG type air conditioners in the bedroom and main living area, they were not required during our stay. Open windows, ceiling fans were sufficient, and the sound of the ocean can be heard at night.

When visiting the island of Kauai we only stay in Poipu. This condo was well equipped and very clean. It's close to Poipu beach, walk a short distance to watch the turtles, and close to the Hyatt Resort. I would definitely stay at this condo again.

This condo is top notch! The location can’t be beat , so close to the beach and walking trails and the pool is wonderful. Our host is an excellent communicator, all our questions were answered and Bruce is very accommodating to any request you might have. The condo was very clean and the bed super comfy. We enjoyed a kitchen that had all the dishes and utensils we required and loved the bbq that was close by. We loved this area of Poipu and will not hesitate to book with Bruce again next year!

The location was wonderful, 25 minute drive from Lihue airport and about 10 minutes from a few good grocery stores and restaurants. We also were able to walk to a few beaches that were good for surfing, swimming, or snorkeling. There was also a great hike right outside. The owners had a binder with very helpful information for hiking places, medical services, grocery stores, restaurants, and many other things. We referenced that binder everyday. They also had beach chairs and snorkel gear which was very convenient. A cool breeze came right through the condo when the windows were open which kept us cool at night. Thank you for allowing us to rent your condo!

This is a wonderful ground floor condo in Poipu Sands. Beautifully decorated and with everything anyone might need for a vacation on Kauai. The Hosts, Bruce and Betty are extremely kind and attentive to their guests needs. Walk to the beautiful Grand Hyatt for food, beautiful grounds and beach. The Hyatt's Tidepools restaurant is not to be missed for special occasion dinning. We've stayed at the condo twice and will surely return. Incredibly high value for the cost. We only regret that there are only five stars with which to rate this excepional condo.

My husband and I stayed a week in the condo and had a wonderful time. The location was perfect for exploring south and west Kauai. Communication with Bruce was outstanding. The condo was clean and well stocked. We didn’t use the kitchen for cooking, as we ate out every day, but they had any appliance you would need. Bed was extremely comfortable. The grounds of the complex were beautiful and very well kept. We enjoyed using the pool after a day of exploring. Jogging/walking trails were onsite. Enjoyed watching the sunrise at Shipwreck Beach, which is right down a short path from the condo. We would definitely stay again when we return to Kauai. Mahalo!!

Parking was never an issue during our stay. We were always able to park directly in front of the condo literally next to or a space or two over from the sidewalk that led straight to the condo door.
Location was great and allowed easy access to local beaches in the Poipu area. Loved being able to step outside the patio and have easy access to Shipwreck beach, walking paths, and BBQ grills.
My husband is a Maintenance Director for 25,000+ rental units in the Pacific Northwest. He was very impressed with how well the condo is being maintained.
The condo was very clean, water pressure was excellent, furniture (including the patio furniture) was comfortable.
The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed with good quality pans and appliances. It was stocked with everything we needed and more than we have seen in any of the other vacation rentals have used during our previous trips to Kauai. We cook a lot of our meals when visiting and really appreciated the extras. Had enough paper towels for our entire stay.
The provided Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Soap, and lotion was good quality and we appreciated that little touch. We never ran out of TP during our stay.
The condo is perfectly laid out to maximize and take advantage of the trade winds to keep the entire condo cool. We only used the bedroom AC a couple of nights and we used the living room AC once for about an hour one very hot afternoon. All the ceiling fans also help keep the air moving. We also appreciated the lights and fans on the patio.
My husband and I had simultaneous video conferences and didn't have any connection issues. It easily supported what we both needed to work remotely.
We appreciated the provided beach equipment. We made use of the beach towels, cooler, umbrella, and extra beach bags both for the beach and any time we bought food or visited the local sunshine markets. We have our own snorkeling equipment so we didn't use the provided snorkeling sets or beach chairs.
Bruce was quick to respond when we had a question and the provided 'blue' book in the condo was helpful and contain condo and local information.
My husband and I will definitely rent this condo again when it's just us visiting and not the whole family.

Fantastic location, beautiful paved trails and hiking trails all around, good restaurants, great beaches. Just be aware that portable AC units are not very effective and are -loud-. Any AC units like that are though, so if quiet cold room is your thing it won't work for you. We slept with windows open and used ceiling fans, nice and quiet, but it can be humid. It was quiet though, no roosters! Kitchen very well stocked. Easy communication. Will happily be back.

This wonderful place was exactly as advertised. It was perfect for two people. We loved the fact that it was on the ground level so access to the pool and walking trails was easy. The kitchen was well stocked. There was air conditioning but we never used it. Ceiling fans and cross ventilation were all we needed. We loved the location-I think Poipu is the sleepy end of the island, very quiet but still fun. No traffic. We would definitely stay here again (and again!). Thanks to the Turbos!

This was the second time staying at this Poipu Sands condo. The location of the condo couldn’t be better, near restaurants, shops and touring locations. The unit is nicely decorated, very clean, and offers everything you need for a wonderful stay. Poipu Sands is right on the beach and also has a great pool. Bruce and Betty are the best hosts. Looking forward to future stays!

We will definitely stay in this property when we return to Kauai. The owners take obvious pride in their condo with their furniture, artwork…everything. It was very comfortable with the larger kitchen and 1 1/2 baths. We were also very pleased with the location. It’s a small complex adjacent to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach. We walked down many times to the end of the beach nearest the condo just to view the many turtles that were constantly surfacing. The Hyatt is very welcoming. The apartment was very nice, large and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the lenai for coffee or a drink. It’s very close (5 min walk) to Shipwreck beach and not too far from Poipu beach (15 min walk). Although we mostly went to Poipu, Shipwreck was nice for a walk or to watch sunset. We loved all the recommendations that came with the property as well! We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

This condo was gorgeous! It was obviously decorated by someone with a great sense of style. Every piece of furniture and wall pieces are tasteful Hawaiian.
Condo is easy to get to with a ramp from the parking lot. Great location. Just a short walk to the beach behind the Grand Hyatt Kauai as well as a clean pool and area close by.
There are several BBQs for your use just steps from the lanai. There are electronics galore - remote control fans and lights, internet connections and chargers, even remote controlled rope lights on patio for evening ambiance.
Poipu is always sunny while other parts of Kauai are rainy. This a great place for a couple seeking to unwind but still stay connected.
There are also great restaurants in the are! The Beach House, Keoki's and any of the restaurants at the Hyatt are top notch! Aloha!

We stayed at Bruce’s place place for a few weeks and could not have been more comfortable. The place is furnished with everything needed for a short or long stay. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking, and there was also enough paper towels, napkins and toilet paper for 3 weeks which is actually very unusual. There was a nice gift basket of coffee and cookies on arrival. The bed and shower were great, and the extra half bath is always a bonus. The place has a nice pool if the water at the beach is too rough to swim. There are lots of great beaches within walking distance (Shipwreck, Brennecke, Poipu), and a fantastic hike along the Heritage Trail past Shipwreck beach. There are wonderful sunrises about a 1 minute walk from the lanai. The WiFi worked great and made remote work easy. Bruce was great to rent from and was very helpful. We can’t think of a single negative except that we didn’t stay long enough. If the place is available, don’t think twice…just book it.

The location of the condo was excellent - a nice walk to Shipwreck Beach or to Poipu Beach. The condo was very comfortable and very tastefully decorated; equipped with everything we needed for our stay. On Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day it rained unusually hard which caused a power outage for a couple of hours Christmas morning. Bruce was very responsive to my message to him regarding the situation, I really appreciated his follow up and reassurance! A very memorable trip!

From the moment we walked in, we love the place!
This unit is in a great location very close to the shipwreck beach and on a very well maintained property. Kitchen was extremely well equipped and all was thought to make us feel home, from toiletries to beach chairs!

We could not have asked for more in your condo. It had everything we needed and more. We really felt at home and hanging out was super comfortable. Being next door to the Grand Hyatt was a huge plus! We could walk to fine dining and get a facial at their spa. Most of our time was spent exploring beautiful Kauai and Poipu is the perfect launching spot. Stayed here while attending a conference at the Hyatt. Beautiful 5 min walk every morning to the conference location. Also, good central location for any sightseeing afterwards. It was a little warm the first day since A/C is just in the bedroom, but we quickly figured out which windows created a nice cross breeze through the condo so we were comfortable the rest of the time. Pool was amazing! Very clean and very quiet. Bruce was super nice to call and check on us to make sure everything was ok even though he himself was traveling.

The condo was in very good condition and the furnishings were superior quality. The kitchen was the most well stocked kitchen we have seen in a rental property, and the bath towels were very soft (nice touch). It was obvious a lot of thought went into every last detail to make us feel at home, like beach chairs and even night lights. The air conditioning in the bedroom at night was very much appreciate as Hawaii was experiencing very high temperatures and no trade winds during our stay. We have stayed in many vacation condos over the years, and this has to be rated amongst the best of the bunch. The owner was very accessible and responded quickly and professionally to any questions/issues we had. The location was central to the Poipu area with restaurants and shops nearby. We could walk to the nearest beach and restaurants (Hyatt). Overall a very enjoyable stay which we would certainly consider renting again should our travels take us back to Kauai.
