We are two couples who stayed here for 2 weeks. Would come back in a minute. Had everything we needed for a great stay. The only improvements I would suggest is to have Keurig coffee pods ( both regular & decaf) available on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking but not perfect for a serious cook. Appliances work very well, location is ideal & management company is very attentive. Condo is spotless. Had a really wonderful time. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay in Kauai. The condo was perfect for my husband and adult daughter and her boyfriend. The separate bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom was great! We ended up eating out only once as we preferred to cook and eat in the condo out on the lanai where we could enjoy the sound and view of the ocean. The kitchen was well appointed. We made use of the cooler, umbrella, chairs and boogie boards! The condo was comfortable and clean. We didn’t miss the AC since we just opened the windows to let the sea breezes flow through. Thanks for a great stay!

Our family had a wonderful time in Kauai, and we enjoyed staying in this condo. It is a great location, and the kids especially enjoyed the pool. One suggestion: Some of the other condos had beach items to borrow, such as Tommy Bahama chairs and hard-sided coolers, and having those available would have been nice. No complaints though.

Of our 12 or so trips to the islands this condo was among the worst. On the plus side, Garden Island was great. the condo was immaculately cleaned and all the major appliances were practically new. That being said, the apartment cries out for a makeover. I won't go in to specifics because I hate to type and the list would be lengthy.
I won't be staying in this particular condo again, but wouldn't hesitate to deal with Garden Island Rentals again.

This was such a lovely place to stay. We loved that we had all we needed here. Our favorite part was hanging out on the lanai whenever possible. It was quiet on the property which was awesome. The only loud sounds were the waves crashing on the beach. Amazing! I will definitely recommend this place to others!

The apartment is very spacious and comfortable, and we found it spotless. It’s just next door (by seaside pathway) to the Grand Hyatt, where you can enjoy tasty (and pricey) meals. The ocean that the property overlooks is beautiful but, when we were there, was red-flagged as too dangerous for swimming. Safer beaches are nearby. We would stay here again.

Wonderful views of ocean & shipwreck beach! Comfortable updated condo for 4 adults. Very spacious with beach/pool towels, beach stuff (chairs, umbrella, boogie board, cooler), keurig (bring pods), & full size W/D. Condo is on 2nd floor so you'll need to lug your suitcase up a flight of stairs but the views on the patio are amazing. Owner provided kitchen detergents, trash bags,paper products, laundry detergent, bathroom shampoo, conditioner & body wash. No A/C which was difficult for 1 night of our 4 night March stay. It cooled off so the breezes and the portable fans kept us cool for the other 3 nights as long as the bedroom doors were left open. Only con was that we only had 1 pillow (which wasn't very comortable) and the pillow case was stained. Tried to fix with property manager but there was no response. Would definitely stay here again. The ocean breeze and sounds were property's best feature!!

Except for the Covid lockdown we have been coming to Poipu for 10 years. We have stayed in 9 different units. This one was the best. It felt “big”. The lanai was shaded all day. We left the lanai doors open with the screen doors closed all the time. The ocean breezes was very comfortable. Even the pool temperature was perfect, warmer and bigger than any others in Poipu. Kauai is beautiful! Excellent accommodations and location of our beach view unit at Poipu Sands. The unit had everything that we needed for our stay! We could see whales off the lanai. Amazing helicopter ride around the island with staggering views of the Napali coast. Unfortunately major storms led to our catamaran excursion cancellation. We found other things to do. Storms led to major chaos at the airport and extensive delays. An unfortunate end to an otherwise idyllic experience.

As soon as we enter this condo, life slows down and we are enchanted with the feeling of aloha. Beautiful sunrises begin our day and watching turtles come ashore at sunset ... that is our clock ! We have stayed at this condo a number of times and will be returning twice in 2023. The closest beach is less than a five minute walk and we love the trail along the ocean which begins two minutes from the condo. We saw whale spouts from the kitchen and from the lanai. The communication is seamless with the management company and we sincerely appreciate that. We excited for our return trips.

We had a fantastic 8 day vacation in this condo. The location was perfect and the accommodations exactly as described. Most homes in Kauai do not have AC and this was no exception but that really wasn't a problem even in August. They had plenty of fans which brought the breeze from the ocean in. The kitchen was well stocked which we made use of and they even had some nice touches like fresh flowers waiting for us. We used the lanai extensively and the furniture was comfortable. Parking wasn't a problem and we were minutes from lots of restaurants and beaches on the south side. Gorgeous view of the ocean from the balcony and a beautiful ocean-side path right outside the door.

Very clean. Beautifully decorated. Easy to find and great location to access all parts of the island. Easy walking distance to Grand Hyatt trails and to Poipu beach (15min). Everything you need including snorkel gear and Bach chairs.
Double master was perfect for two gal pals celebrating a birthday! Quiet at night, ocean heard from front bedroom. Streetlight was a bit bright in the back bedroom. 2 showers no tub.
Would definitely return!!

Essentially two master bedrooms with king size beds make this a good place for couples to share. Good location with proximity to Shipwreck beach and the Hyatt, which has exceptional restaurants. Also very close to Poipu beach, Brenecke's, Starbucks, etc. It was so nice to be greeted with fresh cut flowers. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. Parking is simple. Retrieving the keys, etc. was very easy. Furnishing is very nice for a rental. Felt very roomy for the four of us with the nice deck and roomy living room. Great price compared to staying in a hotel. Guests should be aware that, like many places in Kauai, this does not have air conditioning, but there are ceiling fans. Our bed was very comfortable (in the larger master) but our friends said that the mattress in the other room had seen better days. Might be time to replace that and then the place would be perfect!

The location is perfect, the condo furnishing are far better than advertised, the unit was very clean and ready for us. The management group has cover all of the bases! Overall - excellent. Loved the ocean views and morning walks along the shoreline. A couple minor items: the lock code was wrong when we arrived but was solved ina reasonable amount of time and the number of BBQs (1) was very limited.

This condo is in a great location with wonderful views of the ocean and Shipwreck Beach. We had every thing we needed in the condo to make our meals when we chose to do so. There was a slight glitch when we tried to open the lock box because we had the wrong code but someone from Garden Island got back to us right away with the right code. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed 12 days at Poipu Sands, unit 427. Great ocean views and convenient location to both Koloa and Poipu. Also, the beach trail was basically right outside our door. The grounds are well-maintained, with a lovely variety of tropical plants and flowers. We really appreciated having beach chairs and coolers, as well as plenty of beach towels. Also, it was so nice to have a working washer and dryer, as well as plenty of linens. The unit itself was clean, although not sparkling. We found a few dishware items that weren't quite clean, so just ran everything through the dishwasher once and we were good to go. The dish drainer and silverware holder were both dirty and also got washed in the dishwasher. One overhead fan wouldn't shut off, so we called Garden Island Rentals. The maintenance guy showed up right away to replace a battery. He was very friendly and capable. A few suggestions for the unit: Please get some better skillets. We made breakfast most mornings and the pans wouldn't sit flat on the stove due to warping of the bottoms. Also, why not invest in some curtains or blinds for the north bedroom? The light shines in from the street lights, which was a bit annoying. Other than those minor issues, we were very happy at #427 and would definitely stay there again. I have to add a note here about Garden Island Rentals- they were great to work with! Very friendly and quick to respond to questions during the booking process. Once we arrived, Jenny was on-the-spot whenever we called. A really nice touch was that they left us a card and nice selection of welcoming gifts to celebrate our birthdays. Thank you!

We were able to walk right to the beach. We had good communication with the host and loved that we were able to get a later check out time. We have been staying in vacation rentals for years and I would say this was one of the best experiences we've ever had. The view from the lanai is even better than you see from the pictures on the website. Beautiful sunrise! The unit had everything we needed and is in great shape. Garden Island Rentals were great to work with as well. The beach chairs in the unit were beat up pretty bad so I texted to ask if they had any spares in the office I could pick up. They told me that they'd take care of it and the next day they brought over 4 brand new Tommy Bahama chairs from Costco.

Unit was nice and location great. Disappointed with property mgmt company communication. When we arrived searched for refrigerator only to find it on the deck. Reached out to property manager but felt they should have given us the heads up. Never received a frig in the kitchen during our stay. Was pretty inconvenient to grab stuff from frig on deck and not in kitchen.

Right from landing we were welcomed by text. The place was exactly what we hoped it would be. We saw whales every morning while we had breakfast on the deck and turtles a very short walk away! It was close to many beaches and the airport. We will need more time to explore for sure next time we visit. Definitely booking for next year!!

What a special place to experience aloha! Imagine waking up to the sound of waves breaking along the shore , having coffee or hot chocolate on the lanai as you watch the sunrise every morning! Then, a minute walk to the most beautiful trail along the ocean to experience breathtaking views. From the condo, you can walk to two beaches and a fantastic fruit stand! We always buy too much so backpacks are recommended. Of course you can drive there if one prefers. Can you imagine doing the dishes and seeing whale spouts?! We are excited to return for a third time in 2022. Communication with the management company was outstanding!

Greatly enjoyed our stay at this well furnished condo in a perfect location. Enjoyed relaxing on the Lanai with a view of the ocean. Just a short walk to the local beach and a short drive to Poipu Beach for great snorkeling during the day and watching the sea turtles just prior to sunset. Enjoyed splurging for a dinner at Tide Pools at the Hyatt (adjacent property) and also enjoyed a couple less expensive lunches (Poke) at the Koloa Fish Market.

Poipu Sands is a great location, close to everything. This property was in good shape and had lots of nice amenities (e.g., boogie boards and other beach stuff). It is not air conditioned, but gets plenty of ocean breezes.

We had such a great time at this condo. We loved exploring nearby, playing in the waves at the beach nearby and snorkeling (the condo had all the equipment!) at the state beach nearby. We didn't have a car, so we walked or took the bus everywhere. The kitchen was great for making family meals and we played cards on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We bbq'd at the pool and swam while we cooked. It was all very comfortable. We didn't want to leave!

We had a wonderful two week vacation in Kauai. This condo was in an excellent location. It was clean, large, beautifully furnished, and had a well stocked kitchen. We grilled and cooked in the condo at times, and had everything we needed (cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc.). It was convenient to have the washer/dryer to wash beach towels. Sleeping with windows open and listening to waves crashing was perfect. We hope to return to this same condo next year. I couldn't hope for a better experience.
